Henric intentionally skipped the question that the professor asked them about the tides because he was busy taking notes. But his head lifted up again towards Adi, did he just LOST housepoints by the professor again?! 3 points...eh..it was not bad...but not like his...5 points...for disrespecting a rock! Sorry...a pet rock! He never meant to anyway,sighing...he returned listening back to the lesson.

He took his time reciting the incantation in his head. Aquatraxi?..Haha...it sounded like Aqua Taxi...Water Taxi?...Right..concentrate...Henric...Aquatraxi Gravity...no no...its Aquatraxi Gravita!...Yes he got it! He went over to the front so he could grab a balloon for himself.

He couldn't help comment towards Adi,"How it feels to be one with the side of losing housepoints,mate?" Henric grinned while tossing and catching his balloon in midair.Huhu...why need shoes....they were going to get wet anyway?...Fun timeeee...eh...

"Aquatraxi Gravita." she said one final time.

Now to put it together with the wand movement! Leah held her wand out and tapped it on her head. Owww that hurt. She missed her chance to say the incantation. After rubbing her head briefly, she tried it one more time. Tap on the head. "Aquatraxi Gravita."

... Nothing.

Maybe it was not a firm enough tap. She tapped her head firmly, then repeated the words, "Aquatraxi Gravita." She waited for something to happen. After a long moment of just standing there with her wand on her head, she concluded that she needed to concentrate more. Leah started gathering all the concentration she had right now. Fooocuuus.

A spell that required extreme concentration to get right? Well, this was going to go... well.

SIGH.

No, okay. Okay. He was going to TRY. No giving up allowed. No point in not trying. Toby went on ahead and retrieved a water balloon, a green one, and found himself somewhere to stand in the classroom where he wouldn't interfere with anyone else's balloon or spellwork.

The spell was going to make him have a gravitational pull on water, just like the moon in that demonstration, and so that was what Toby focused on at first. Feeeeel the moon, BEEEEEE the MOOOOON. It was HARD to visualise gravity, of course, you could only create a mental image of its effects. But he tried it, tried as hard as he could, practicing the intent for the spell. The concentration.

*MOON*

Adi could tell AJ didn't understand the whole point thing either but he shrugged and grinned. No biggie. And then there was Henric ribbing him. Of course he was. LOL. "Uhhh... It's your fault. You're a bad influence on me, Henny.'' Hehe. Nah, Adi was totally kidding. "Joking. I've lost points from Professor Airey before so it's nothing new.''

On his way back from grabbing his balloons and more practicing of the incantation (which was a kind of a tongue twister to him, mind you), he couldn't help but notice a dude (Hughbert) slumping over his table. "You alright?'' he stopped to ask. WAS THE GUY SICK OR ANYTHING?!

Oh! While standing next to the kid, why not practice the spell on himself in the meanwhile? Adi rolled one of his balloons a bit of a distance away from him. "Aquatraxi Gravita!" TAP!

OUCHIES! He had tapped his head a little too harder than he had intended. Anywhoooo, one step towards the rubbery thing... annnnd nothing! That was to be expected, wasn't it? Professor Suits did say something about a lot of concentration for it.

"Aquatraxi Gravita!'' He tried again.

Okay, she was ready to try this again. Leah closed her eyes, which helped gather all her concentration, and upon opening them again, tapped her head firmly with her wand. "Aquatraxi Gravita!" she said out loud at the same time. Let's see how it worked. She took a step towards her balloon. It bulged ever so slightly towards her. Woohoo!

As she walked more and more towards her balloon, the bulge became more and more apparent, until - oops. It rolled towards her shoes and exploded. Were these made of glass or what? A grin on her face, she picked up what was left of her balloon and made her way to take a new one.

The house prefect lost points. Was it bad that Noel wanted to laugh? Not because he had anything against Adi, but because of the way he lost those points. It was pretty funny.

Jotting down points of what the professor said next, Noel tried to keep up. He really really hoped it wasn't just all theory - that would suck. Thankfully though, then the professor mentioned the spell and WATER BALLOONS.

He watched as professor space demonstrated what they had to do. Wicked. When other students so nicely got up and started practicing the spell, Noel wondered WHY they weren't interested in throwing the water balloons. How can they not???

Getting up from his seat, Noel took one and rolled it between his hands and gave Benzi a slight scare by pretending to throw it at him. Of course he didn't but it was nice to know that he could and that he eventually would.

Still rolling the water balloon carefully in his hands, the fifteen year old repeated the spell: "Aquatraxi" Pause "Gravita" And he repeated it until he could pronounce it right.

Oooh, activity time!

Natalia quickly got up and grabbed two balloons, one purple and one blue (her favorite colors), and found an empty space in the room to practice her charm. She set one of the balloons aside and focused on one.

What was the incantation again? ”Aqua…” Natalia wanted to fluently enunciate the spell before moving on to actually performing the spell. ”Aquatraxi Gravita. Aquatraxi Gravita.” Natalia muttered under her breath over and over again. Noticing that the other students in her class were doing the same, Natalia’s voice became more confident as she repeated the incantation. ”Aquatraxi Gravita. Aquatraxi Gravita!”

Henric chuckled at Adi."Sorry, I didn't know the dark side had this much influence,"lifting up his hands and imagined he had the dark force emitting from them.Of course, he was referencing his all time favourite legend muggle science fiction movie,Star Wars. And his wand would be his light saber.Hehe.Not that they knew much about it of course.
"It we keep going at this rate, we'll be last for sure...just to let you know, Adi,dearest,"he teased back before going off to find a spot where he could start with the activity.

"Right...first...put the balloon gently...there,"he muttered, bending down and leave the balloon a few centimetres away from him. Henric needed to concentrate,he tapped his head with his wand and recited the spell," Aquatraxi Gravitaaaa" He waited for the balloon to move...but nothing happened.He repeated the movement and incantation again...nope...nothing. Was he doing it right?

Again.."AQUATRAXI GRAVITA!" The balloon suddenly came flying towards him so quick, he didn't have time to react.POP! The balloon burst when it hit his shoes and wet his trousers. Great....

Was there a reverse charm for this? Hmm...he went to find himself another balloon.

Visualisation was happening, mhmm. In fact, Toby thought he'd... probably done enough of that. To an oustider, it probably looked as though he was just standing there, staring into the middle distance, probably being angsty... or maybe in pain. Which was close enough, because trying to remain focused was about ten times more pain and effort than any physical exercise.

Onto the actual SPELL, then. Toby FIIIIINALLY drew his wand from its holster and twirled it between his fingers, as was his way. He'd written the spell down earlier, but of course was no longer anywhere near his notes. Which, in retrospect, he probably should have gone ahead and cast 'Impervius' on before the activity started. Because... water and ink... not a great combination. He didn't cast it on his shoes (despite a lack of galoshes), either, for some strange Toby reason.

But yes, today's spell. He'd already sort of forgotten it, and had to kind of look around for clues or reminders as to what it might be. Maybe it was written somewhere, or-... ah, yes, everyone was SAYING it. That was a big clue. And a huge reminder. But hey, it had been an easy one to forget, okay? A very fiddly set of words.

"Aquatraxi Gravita," the Hufflepuff repeated for himself, nodding and visualising and trying his utmost to focus, which was difficult with so much going on in the room. "Aquatraxi Gravita... Aquatraxi Gravita..."

So, he had the words, he had the focus, and the wand movement was just a firm tap on the head, like the Disillusionment Charm. He practiced that, first on his palm, then on his head.

Okay, time to put it all together and... hope for the best.

Notes! So many many notes to be taken. The third year stopped writing for a moment just long enough for her to give her hand a quick shake before continuing. Once she had everything written down neatly she put her parchment and quill aside.

Luckily for her she had worn the required foot wear to this lesson so she didn't have to change. That saved her a few moments and abled her to get up and head to the front of the room where she collected two water balloons one green and the other white. Finding an empty area near the wall she set one balloon out of the way and the other on the floor a few inches from her feet.

Aquatraxi Gravita

"Aqua-tra-xi...Aquatraxi...Gra-vi-ta..Gravita." Hady whispered to herself clearly testing the words before repeating them several times more. "Aquatraxi Gravita, Aquatraxi Gravita, Aquatraxi Gravita." First things first, one needed to make sure they knew how to say a charm before giving it a try.

By the look of their faces, the firsties must've been having a terribly hard time keeping up. But who could even blame them? Even Zander was having a difficult time keeping up and he was over half way through his Hogwarts years!! Just sayin'. The Gryffindor could hear others practicing the spell already, but Zander still needed to finish up his notes.

You know what they say about not writing down everything the Professor says? Yeah, well they don't lie about that stuff. It's very good advice. And Zander had just officially given up on all that. But he was trying to scribble as much as he could. Not that he'd be studying any of this stuff anytime soon or anything... But uh, NEWTs were going to creep up a lot sooner than he would've liked. So best get this stuff down now before it's too late. Kinda like what happened for last year's exams. Didn't need a repeat. Ahem.

Also, the demonstration thing was wicked cool, thanks Professor! Kind of distracting, but it's okay. There was time, right?

The activity was going to be awesome! AJ watched as Airey demonstrated what they needed to do. His suit was wet. His suit was wet. Didn't he know that would happen? The lion was surprised that the professor didn't take proper precautions for the safety of his suit. It just seemed so off. No matter. AJ on the other and had absolutely no problem getting wet. The only problem she anticipated was getting the spell to work for her. Having to cast in on herself should bring interesting results.

First things first, practice. She didn't want to main herself and miss out on the super fun part. Aquatraxi Gravita was what she needed to pronounce and it was definitely a mouth full.

"Aquatraxi Gravita...Aquatraxi Gravita...Aquatraxi Gravita." She was stumbling all over the place with that one. AJ practiced a bit more until she felt fairly confident about it. No need to tap herself on the head. She was sure she could manage that little task without any practice at all.

Eden thought this lesson was REALLY cool. And she also wondered if they'd be hurling water balloons at each other, because that just sounded like SO much fun.

A GAAAME?

EDEN WANTED TO PLAY A GAME.

The word 'game' instantly had the Ravenclaw's attention.

Before Eden stood up to grab a balloon, she thought she'd practice saying the spell because it was long and hard and seemed like a TONGUE TWISTER. She set her wand on her desk in front of her and just....wrote the incantation down so that she could...read it...

Ugh.

"Aquatraxi Gravita..." what. "Aqua....traxi....gravita...." she took a deep breath and tried again, but faster. "AquatraxiGraviataaiohfihf--" fbregfefkebrh

She needed to slow down for now, because it just wasn't EASY FOR HER MOUTH TO SAY. "Aqua...traxi...gravita...Aquatraxi...aquatraxi... Gravita..." Ahem. Did she HAVE IT?

ohhhhhh This seemed like it was going to be so much fun, following the rest of the students Echo grabbed two water things and went to go search for a spot for her to practice. Alot of the students seemed to be near each other so Echo moved a little further away so she could practice with no interruptions. Going near a small tree Echo sat down, for she thought the closer the objects to her face the easier it would be for her to see if anything happened.

Dusting the leaves away from her that were near her legs, she placed the water things kind of near her knee's. This would allow for her to keep an eye on them. Now was time for her to clear her mind "breathe in and breathe out" she kind of felt like she was going to start meditating "OMMMMMMMM" she thought while a small smile smirked across her face.

Picking up her wand she thought she would give it a shot, she was pretty relaxed and concentrated. "Aquatraxi Grave" as she tapped her wand on her head. Echo opened her eyes because of course she had her eyes closed and nothing seemed to have happened. Taking out her notes she figured out that she most likely didn't say the spell correctly.

"Aquatraxi Gravita"
"Aqua-Tra-Xi Grav-Ita"
"Aqyatraxi Gravita"

She said the spell over and over again until it was completely in her head. But before she would try again she thought it was best to do a little more meditation first to get her head clear.

Aquatraxi Gravita, got it. That didn't sound too bad. Actually, it did. Oh. What was it again? Aqua-taxi gravitation or something? Uh. Yeah, this was gonna need some more practice. WAIT. You know those notes he had spent so much time fixing up? Yeah, well look at that they're actually gonna come in handy!!! Who would've thought, right!?! HA! He had the incantation down somewhere... Just had to skim through an entire page of words to find it...

AHA.

Aquatraxi Gravita

Right! Well, erm, he'd need some more practice saying it outloud, because Merlin this sounded complex. "Aquea-trahxi Grah-vi-ta," he could do it. YEAH! "Aqua-Traxi Gra-Vita," Not to shabby, Adair. Heh. "Aqua-traxi Grav-ita!" And once more all together now, "Aquatraxi Gravita!" YEAH.

"If only I knew you had such evilness, Henny,'' Adi said in a fake solemn tone. "I would not have even bothered with you.'' LIES! He enjoyed the other boy's company a whole lot. "Looks like it's you and me loosing the House points.'' What a way to start the term. Hehe. "No worries. We'll get them back, right, dearest buddy?'' Of course they will! Adi was determined. And was Noel amused at things? The prefect could see the look on his face... as though the other boy wanted to laugh. Adi shook his head. YESH, he was there to provide entertainment, Noel. LOL.

Alrightey. Enough chit chat. Time to get to work!

"Aquatraxi Gravita, Aquatraxi Gravita,'' the sixth year muttered once more, shifting from one foot to another and trying to gather his concentration. He eyed the balloon. He was going to get you THIS TIME! ADI HAD THIS!

"Aquatraxi Gravita!'' Concentration on the maximum and with yet another smart tap, Adi took a few steps towards the object afterwards. It did a sort of a weird jiggle and bulged a bit O__O Was the balloon trying to dance? Haha!

Anywaaaayyy. The balloon was still as a statue right now. One would have thought they had imagined the short burst of jiggling but nope. Adi was sure he had seen what he had seen. Why not have another go at things? "Aquatraxi Gravita!'' Annnnnd more concentrating and another wand tap!

One, two, three steps! OH, HEYYYO! The balloon was careening towards Adi's galosh- protected feet where it CRASHED, sending water spattering around on the floor.

AWESOMEEE! He had done it! The happy Hufflepuff vanished the remnants of the balloon and cleared away the water. Could they go outside now?!

Alright no more time for meditation she needed to get right to it. Everything seemed to be perfect. Tapping her head with her wand she said "Aquatraxi Gravita" she knew she had said the wording correctly but she was so happy that she did she didn't really have all the concentration that she wanted to have. She saw some sort of movement on the water thingys but not to what she wanted it to be.

Looking around at all the other students she noticed that some of them were getting a really good handle on this so far. It could be the fact that they were all alot older than she was, and she couldn't let this get to her. She could totally do this. all she had to do was to make sure that she tapped her head, said the words correctly and concentrated. Deep Breaths.

"Aquatraxi Gravita," Toby said once again, concentrating reeeeeeeeeeeal hard on wanting to become a water magnet as he rapped himself on the top of his head. Hard. "Ow."

He pulled a face, then raised a hand to rub his noggin at the point where wand had connected with cranium. Perhaps a little too enthusiastic there, eh? Ahem. But. BUT. Had it WORKED? Only one way to find out. Toby looked at his green waterballoon, still laying dormant on the floor a good distance away, thankfully not squished by anyone by accident, and began stepping towards it.

Um... nothing.

Another step... nooooooooothing.

... Three steps later, STILL nothing. SIGH. Well, okay. That was to be expected. Toby crouched down beside the water balloon, intended to see if maybe there was some miniscule movement. But no sooner had he held out a finger to test the theory than-

*SPLASH*

RUDE.

Toby spluttered and shook his head, soaked and dripping water. Somehow the thing had just... just... EXPLODED, and he'd not even TOUCHED it. He SWORE there was not enough water in that thing to get him this good, too. But no, completely drenched.

Shaking the last of the water away, Toby straightened once again and... went to get another balloon. Still soaking, but acting like nothing was out of the ordinary. He sort of KNEW this was going to happen. At least he'd not somehow set the thing on fire.

Philipe blinked, missing nearly half of what he said. How did people follow this guy? It really didn't make sense. He quickly scribbled down what he could catch and caught the spell and how to perform it. Hopefully that would be enough. He went and grabbed two water balloons, glancing around at the others who had started to practice saying it. Huh, okay so it wasn't abnormal for others to do it... His father made it sound like it was rare.

He went back to his spot, "Aquatracks... No." The first year shook his head, "Aquatraxi?" Was that right for the first part at least? He nodded thinking it was. Okay, so that was right, "Aquatraxi." Just to reconfirm it was right, "Gra...vity." No. He shook his head and tried to make out his scribble handwriting, "Grav...it...a" Maybe? "Gravita." He gave a slight smile, now just together, "Aquatraxi Gravita, Aquatraxi Grivita." He beamed, and the wand movement seemed easy enough. He tapped his head once, just to practice it, lowering his wand, wanting to make sure he got the saying down before trying to do it.

"you can do it" she told herself as she picked up her wand from the ground to give it another shot. Looking at her wand in her hand she gave it a stronger grip as she tapped her head (not to hard) and said those words again "Aquatraxi Gravita" this time something happened, she opened her eyes to see the water things start to slowly come towards her and hover just above her knees... "awesome" she said as she didn't want to get up, what if this was only temporary.

"I did it" she did a little shimmy in her spot as she poked one of the water things and it just came right back. "this thing is so cool" she thought while slowly laying down as she watched the water adjust to her movement and move above her now instead of infront of her. She just laid there watching them move and catching the sun light.

Yaay! Time to actually get out that wand and start flicking it!

Natalia grabbed out her wand and twirled it through her fingers elegantly, for no exact purpose but to warm up her fingers. Then, she held the wand steady in her hand, ready to perform the spell for real this time. She took a deep breath, in and out, then placed the tip of the wand right above the balloon.

”Aquatraxi Gravita.” Natalia muttered it quite softly. To her disappointed, nothing happened. Well, then try again. This time, Natalia incorporated the appropriate movement of the tap. ”Aquatraxi Gravita!” She tried to enunciate the incantation clearer. This time, a small bulge formed to Natalia’s slight satisfaction. Not enough, but she was getting there!

Concentration engaged. Eyes re-opened.

Okay, now for the spell. What was it? Aquatracks gravity? Something like that. She glanced up at the board and around at everyone else. Oh. No. Aquatraxi Gravita. That made more sense...

Now to try it.

"A-qua-trax-i gra-vi-ta." Rowan sounded out each syllable of the spell then tapped herself on the head with her wand. "Ow." Maybe a little too firmly...

Nope. Nothing. Maybe she hadn't said the spell smoothly enough or something..?

"Aqua-traxi gravit-a." Tap.

....

Nope. Not quite. What was she doing wrong?

Maybe it was cause her head was still hurting a little from tapping too hard. Time to count to ten and regroup the concentration? Yep.

Still rolling the water balloon in his hand, Noel concentrated on learning the spell. Repeating it again and again until he thought he got it right. He was still tempted to throw it on Benzi though but maybe he could do this AFTER he got the spell right.

So placing the woobly thing near his feet, Noel pulled out his wand. Repeating the incantation one more time for good measure, Noel pointed the wand on his head.

Okay. Here goes.

"Aquatraxi Gravita!" he spoke clearly and gave his head a tap.

And nothing.

No surprise of course.

Natalia knew this time was going to be it! She just knew it!

Feeling confident, the Lioness held out her wand again, tapped it on the top of the balloon while reciting "Aquatraxi Gravita!" The bulge of the balloon was not much bigger than the one that formed last time. Hmm...looks like this wasn't it. Maybe she should give it a few more tries?

"Aquatraxi Gravita!" The instead of forming the bulge this time, the balloon simply rolled over towards Natalia about half an inch. Well, hello.

"Aqua-traxi Gra-vita!" Natalia spoke a little slower this time, and the result was much better. A rather decent-size bulge formed which it maintained the size for a couple seconds before shrinking. Almost there!

"Aquatraxi Gravita!!" She sounded a lot more forceful this time, and the result was immediately. The balloon bulged toward Natalia's direction. Larger and larger, the bulge grew, until it exploded, squirting out water all over the floor and some even bouncing up to her neck.

Yaay it worked! Natalia looked proud of herself as she wiped the liquid off of her neck with the top part of her robe. One room for improvement, however, she should definitely try controlling the force next time.

Professor Flammy thought that surfing was rather thrilling, and that made Lux wonder if he had ever done it before. A rather funny image came to her mind of him surfing while wearing a suit, but she managed not to laugh in case he thought she was making fun of him or something.

Serious face on, and it was time to take some more notes. As he explained how the tides worked in some detail, she KINDA got it but it was still a relief to hear that they were going to move on to the activity. Even though the lecture had actually made sense, being active was SO much better. And water balloons too!! It would be awesome if they could have a fight with them, but she knew that wouldn't be happening today.

Curiously Lux watched the demonstration and gave a little snort as Flammy got wet. Clearly he had forgotten to waterproof his clothes or footwear first bless him. Smiling, she got up and grabbed two balloons before finding herself a spot on the floor. Time to start practicing!
