Making the long trek down from the Astronomy Tower to the Black Lake, you may be a bit surprised to see what looks like a large circular platform floating out about 50 yards into the water. While you can't make out exactly what they are at the moment because of the distance, you are able to see small colorful blobs in each of the four Hogwarts' house's colors. The water, which you may be accustomed to looking calm, appears a bit uneasy and laps up onto the shore with a bit more gusto than usual.
Woah...wait...was that a tentacle just now?!
Professor Flamsteed, with the usual eager grin upon his face, beckons you all to continue following him as he steps into the water and...APPEARS TO BE WALKING ON IT?! Following his lead, you discover this not to be the case but rather there is a slightly submerged platform that allows you to walk out to the floating game arena. Aren't you glad you brought the proper footwear today?
One you have arrived at the floating platform, you discover that the colorful shapes are actually sandcastles scattered about haphazardly around the perimeter with some closer to the edge than others. The water from the lake laps up against the platform and just barely comes over the top of it. Hmmm...how very peculiar...
ANNOUNCEMENTS No more green castles! GRYFFINDOR WINS! Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin
What? Tora had been distracted with all the waves about and hadn't noticed Ravenclaw falling behind. This would not do! The seventh year did a quick look around... Red seemed to be doing fairly well. With Slytherin just behind. Those would be nice targets!
"AQUATRAXI GRAVITA," she cast the spell using all the effort she could muster. She lined right up with one of the red sandcastles and...
WHOOOSHHHH
The wave splashed over the sandcastle, smoothing it all away until there was only a small lump in the sand. It even washed a bit over the slytherin castle right next door, weakening the structure for another wave to knock down.
Out of the corner of her eye, Tora spotted a tentacle flailing about. What if...? She had an idea. "Ravenclaws! I've got a plan! If you're with me, come over here!" she shouted over the noise of the waves. Hopefully she would get some help on this, Tora didn't think she could make a big enough wave by herself.

Marsha grinned as Professor Airey came and joined her and looked at the sandcastle. WWOAAHHHH!!!! HE hadn’t even said anything and the waves had knocked it over. That was amazing! HE REALLY WAS LIKE THE MOON. Blinking up at him, Marsha couldn’t help but BEAM at him.
“AWESOME!”
And with that, she was off. She ran to the next spot she found that had a green sandcastle and tapping her head with her wand said ”Aquatraxi Gravita!. She bubbled with laughter as the waves that Bartholomew Henry was creating joined her in flattening the green sandcastle. ”Bye sandcastle!” She called out, trying not to burst into full hysterics as she waved at her feet.
Taking a step towards her left, she aimed for a yellow normal sandcastle but the charm was gone and nothing happened.
Sighing overdramatically, she tapped her wand again as she cried out AQUATRAXI GRAVITA!” WORK!
Well, not only did it flatten the hufflepuff castle, but the waves slopped up her boots. Hehehe. This was so much fun!

But was that AJ smashing a Puff castle? She stuck her tongue out at the Gryffindor girl and immediately felt badly about it. "Sorry! I didn't mean it! You're a lovely human being!" She wasn't sure if AJ had seen or even heard her, but y'know what maybe she had.
Utter chaos was happening everywhere and AJ was loving every second of it. If only they could make this like an obstacle course including having to swim in the lake and dodge Henry. Man, that would be awesome. Airey really needed a suggestion cup. In fact all of the professors should have one. AJ would be one to come up with some really rad suggestions.
One second she was smashing a yellow castle, and the next minute a tongue was being stuck out at her. Oh yes, she had caught Norah and her action. AJ just laughed because it was all in good fun, and she totally took it at the girl was just joking with her. Awww, and then she was apologizing. How cute was she? "Don't sweat it, Norah. I think you're pretty spiffy yourself."
Why didn't they team up? "How about we take out some green and blue ones instead." That way they would be teaming up on the other houses and they wouldn't smash up ones belonging to their own house. It was a win win.
"Incoming!!!" A green one was her next victim. Once she became one with her inner moon she got instant results. No more green castle, and boy did it feel good.
On to the next. The first blue color castle that her eyes found was going to be history. Nothing personal other houses, it was that Gryffindor had to win. Found one! WHOOSH! Another one down!
Of course Kace would be up for the challenge; he always was. Lux smirked at him and watched him target one of the red sandcastles. How ruuuuuuuuuude of him. She giggled then laughed at the wave stopped short. She was just having fun with him and he would understand that. "It's a sign that you can't possibly win." Yep. So he might as well admit defeat.
This time she picked agreen castle to go after because its sand looked almost as pretty as the blue when it was being destroyed by waves. Standing behind it, she bounced on her feet as she waited for the wave to come and wash it away. It grew in size and crashed into the castle and of course she was seriously kicking Kace's butt.
Now on to another one!
Kace glared at Lux and maybe it was a sign of that he would win. Now she was just showing off. He stuck his tongue out and he now was waiting for the wave to come towards him. He was hoping it would come but then NOPE. The wave disappeared and didn't even hit the blue one. Bummer right there. He frowned and then moved onto a different castle. He was gonna aim for another green one. He smirked and then saw one just a little closer to him.
He used the spell again and said, "AQUATRAXI GRAVITA!" and tapped his head and then he felt the wave pulling him in. He saw the wave coming and it seemed like a huge wave! He was hoping it would hit and...
IT DID!!!

The wave crashed down on the castle and score for Lecium. He grinned gleefully and now he wanted to aim for a blue one because he hadn't yet. He looked around for an open blue castle.

And just like that, Marsha was moving around the circle again and standing behind another blue sandcastle and tapping her head and saying the incantation. She watched the tide form and grinned as she watched it floooooooow towards the sandcastle.
She was the moon and she was alll powerful!
Okay, not that powerful since she had to keep reapplying the charm, but still she was affecting the water! And since water was her favourite element, she was in her element. Hahahaha. Wasn’t she funnnny!?!
Grinning, she moved around the circle and couldn’t help but giggle as she saw a few of the older students falling over as they got overconfident and cocky. Whooops! That was a lesson to them all to be careful with their footing. Hehe.
Marsha realised that she had stopped moving as she had watched the boys falling over. Looking down to her feet, she realised that there was only one sandcastle close by and that it was green. That would do. ”AQUATRAXI GRAVITA!”

Hehehe. How amazing? She thought as the water and sand splooshed over her wellies.

Natalia was feeling more confident as she progressed with the game. Having demolished a total of five hostile castles, she set a goal for herself: she should destroy at least three more castles.
Noting one lone blue sand castle, the fourth year rushed over hastily as if she was afraid that someone else was going to reach it before her. She didn't care if her rival was from Gryffindor or from other houses; whatever she had her eyes on, no one else could take it from her!
Mwahahahaha... little blue fort... time for your extermination!
"Aquatraxi Gravita!" A surge of cool breeze blew some stray strands of hair away from her sweaty face, leaving her countenance exposed to the light gust. Ahh, the wind felt so good! And indeed, the hurdling wave again crushed the sand castle into a pathetic hump of wet sand. MWAHAHAHAHA.
WHERE WAS BARTHOLOMEW?! I WANT TO SEE BARTHOLOMEW! Good Lord please hear Natalia's prayer; she had been good all year.

Avoiding the occasional splash with some well timed twirls, the professor surveyed the area and noticed something.
"ALL GREEN CASTLES HAVE BEEN DESTROYED!" he announced. In case anyone hadn't noticed this already.
OOC: there are no more green castles remaining on the platform. Any posts that include destroying a green castle will not be counted from now on

Rusty didnt care too much about her appearance, but she did love her hair, so she was putting a lot of trust in this boy by asking him to fix it.
She squeezed her eyes shut as he tapped her head with his wand. Pleeeaaaase work... When he said it was done she opened one eye slowly, then the other, then tipped her head forwards so she could see her hair.
ALL GINGER AGAIN!!!
"Thank you!!!" she said, wrapping her arms around the boy's waist and hugging him tight. She squeezed him for a second, until she wasn't panicking about her hair anymore, then looked up at him. "I'm Rusty." she said, since she'd hugged him so she should probably tell him her name. "And I think I might be able to focus now." After all... What else could go wrong??
She sidled over to a green sand castle, then closed her eyes for a second and tried to envision herself as a water magnet .. Which wasn't easy, but she did it. "Aquatraxi Gravita. " She tapped herself on the head with her wand, and in a few moments a wave crashed over the sandcastle...

LOL. Lux stuck her tongue out at Kace as he glared at her. It was a friendly competition so she was just having fun with him. He missed a blue castle but managed to get a green one, so he wasn't out of the running by any means.
Professor Flamsteed announced that all the green castles were gone, so it looked like she would be going after another blue one. Smiling, she moved behind the first one she saw and waited behind it. The water was nice and soon hit the sandcastle, destroying it. Lux wondered how many were left because she wouldn't be going after any of the red or yellow ones. It would be mean to go against either one of her Houses.
Hearing the professor ANNOUNCE that, Noel felt another kind of adrenaline rush and he was sure others too. Okay, only the blue and red sandcastles to go.
Moving onto a blue castle, the puff boy firmly tapped himself with the spell and maybe it was over eagerness but it didn't work. At least not right away.
So calming himself a little, and breathing in just right so to not RUSH the spell - Noel tried again.
"Aquatraxi Gravita" he spoke clearly and tapped himself and YEEES a big tide came on and crashed on a blue castle. YEEEEEES.
Moving quickly to the next target, the puff did the same. AND BAAAAM ANOTHER ONE DOWN.

So Tia spent the last several minutes try to determine what sandcastle to try her magical gravitational forces against ... long enough that she feared the spell on herself was PROBABLY weak by now. And if it wasn't than it would only be strengthened by an additional spell, yes?
"Aquatraxi Gravita," the fifth year proclaimed, positioning herself strategically behind two yellow sandcastles because there was no longer anymore green ones which probably would have been in between the two yellow ones
And hopefully ... with any luck ... AHA! Yes! So Tia may have done just a little mini victory dance as she beamed over the sight of the "tide" washing over the two yellow castles. Take that!

Cinna followed Professor Airey and the others out to the grounds. To the lake they headed. Something floating in the middle of the lake. Interesting very interesting. If the rest of this lesson was something to do with what was on that island on the lake how were they supposed to get to it. Swim? Transfigure wood into and canoe? Ride the giant squid? Haha. Yes! That would be awesome right? Right.
Haha he was walking on water. Show off, yeah? It was just a walkway on the water. Well played.
She followed them over to sandcastle island. Because Merlin the number of sandcastles was crazy. She listened to the instructions. Destroy the sandcastles. Hehe this was going to be fun. Cinna stomp. Oh okay no Cinna stomp. Just Aquatraxi Gravita not as fun sounding.
Anyway could they start now? She had to get to her Cinna stomp Aquatraxi Gravita on. Tapping the top of her head "Aquatraxi Gravita," it was Cinna moon time again.
Now let's get to smashing some sandcastles. She ran up to red one. Alright.... Come at me wave. Haha here comes the wave....

Whoop whoop. One sandcastle gone now off to find another one.

Getting up gingerly from where he had fallen. Noel concentrated on being BACK in the game again. There was too much to do and too little time.
Aiming for the green castles this time, the fifth year moved CAREFULLY toward them - not risking another fall and hurting a bone in the process because his butt still hurt, so yeah.
Crouching down the sandcastle for good measure, Noel tapped himself with a spell and WOOOOOOSH a tide wave came on and swept the green castle to nothing. YESSSS.
Excited as ever, the puff pumped his hand in the air in victory before getting up to move toward Henric. Without giving him any warning, the fifteen year old pulled him down to a crouching position again and tapped his head with the spell just in time for a LARGE tide - and WOOOOOOOOOSH - not only a green castle went down but also the water crashed onto them. Noel laugheeeed because dude this was FUNNN.
Henric was suddenly pushed down into a crouching position. He turned to Noel," Man..what are you-" Henric didn't managed to ask him and before he knew it, he and Noel were swept away by a mini tidal wave.Henric sputtered water out of his mouth as he tried to regain balance. He gave up, he was too exhausted to get up. He turned his body around and just lay there. "Could have warn me a little mate," Henric told him.Anyways it was fun still, Noel did his part taking out the Slyth's sandcastles.

By this time, Heather was soaking wet, since she'd been having trouble keeping her footing in the waves. A fact that she was blaming on the floating platform. But she thought she had the hang of it now as she made her way over to two castles built close to one another, one yellow, the other blue.
'Come to me, little wave. Just don't knock me over.' And bingo! Down went the the two castles. Unfortunately, so did Heather. Right on her bum. "That's going to ache tomorrow." Along with everything else. Honestly though, how were so many people staying on their feet. Did they have rocks in their shoes or something?

Zhenya was still running around when she looked around and noticed something. Something sad. There were no more green castles. The realisation was confirmed by Professor Flamsteed. No more green sandcastles. Zhenya shrugged, never having been a sore loser, and quickly darted off to another castle at random. It took a while for the tide to pull into her, being the moon and everything, but it did. And with it, it took a blue sandcastle. A wicked smile spread across the snake's face, which quickly turned into one of delight. She ran off to another one, and stood in front of it. The wave came quite quickly this time, but only took a little bit of the blue sand away with it. She sighed, performed the spell on herself once again, and stood her ground. Come on wave, be my tide! It came and hit against her feet as it dragged away the rest of the blue castle.

Rude. That's what it was when people made a point of going after Slytherins. Or maybe prejudice. Yeah, hatred of reptiles or the color green or just BIAS against people who were awesome and just innocently trying to play a game. That was all Dot could figure, considering the number of people who had gone after the green castles in particular.
If she could have gotten away with kicking over all the rest of the castles in a sulky fit, Dot might have been inclined to try that. As it stood, she stalked toward a couple of red castles. SHE WAS STILL THE MOON, OKAY? OKAY?
Okay. Dot crept up on the castles, watching to see if water was coming her way. It wasn't meant to be, since the water seemed to be ebbing on this side of the platform. Feeling inspired AND furious, Dot turned and raced across the platform in search of any remaining castles near the water or near where the water was climbing higher.
Directly opposite her original spot, she found a red castle that seemed to be waiting for her. She crept closer, watching as the water rushed up to meet her. It swept the red castle away in a rush, and Dot moved on in search of her next castle. SHE WAS THE MOON.
The number of available sandcastles was DWINDLING, and all the green ones had been COMPLETELY wiped out, which made Toby feel a little bit bad about taking out TWO of them. But it was all part of the game, right? Right.
There was another red one that had caught Toby's eye, though, and he focused instead on getting THAT one. Time was running short, though, and he was getting all caught up in the thrill of the GAME, so he tried, once again, to do the spell while running across to his target. Which... had not proven to be a good idea so far today.
But on he went.
"Aquatraxi Gravita!" With a tap on the head, the spell was HOPEFULLY going to work.
Except Toby didn't get a chance to see if it made him start to attract water, because it seemed like the water was attracting HIM instead. Or, well... maybe not. But, just as Toby reached the red sandcastle in his sights, he TRIPPED; not over a sandcastle, not slipping on the soaking wet platform, no... he tripped SPECTACULARLY over his own foot.
And went headlong off the edge and into the lake.
*SPLASH*
Toby was... not as graceful on his own two feet as he was in the air on a broom. That much was obvious. Merlin.

As Kace destroyed his slytherin castle, I guess he got the last one because Airey announced that there was no more slytherin castles. Kace beamed and now was on the hunt for a ravenclaw castle. I mean that was the house he hadn't hit yet. He looked for a lonely blue and wouldn't you know he found one. He grinned with mischievous glee and went over and used the spell one last time since others seemed to destroying a lot more castles.
He got his wand out of his robes and conjured the spell, "Aquatraxi Gravita!" and with a soft tap on his head, he hoped he conjured the spell right. As he stood near the blue castle for a little bit, he noticed the wave was coming up towards him. Come onnn waaavvee. You can do it! The wave was inching slowly but surely because of the low tide. Then when the wave decided to pick up the pace and it made a huge tidal wave and CRASHED the blue castle.
SWEEETTTT!!! He smiled and then noticed his work was done. This assignment was really fun though. He liked this idea, props to you Professor Airey!

HUFFLEPUFF DOWN! HUFFLEPUFF DOWN! If Dot wasn't such a gracious and forgiving person, she'd say that everyone who ended up in the water deserved it for taking out Slytherin castles. But she was awfully gracious, plus it was That Boy who'd just gone splashing into the water...
She scurried over to the edge of the platform and stooped there, peering into the water to make sure no one was drowned. No one being Toby, since he was the one in the water. "Tooooooooooooby? You dead, mate? You come out of there, okay? It isn't funny." No one was laughing, even.
OH LOOK. SHE WAS THE MOON. Water splashed up around her feet and took out the nearest castle, a little yellow one. She hadn't even been trying, but did the moon even have to try? It was just the moon and the water responded to it. And Dot was the moon, y'know?
Norah jumped to her feet, shaking sand from her hair. No more green castles? PUFFERS FOR THE WIN! She held her wand tightly as she skipped to a halt behind a Ravenclaw castle, rocking from side to side as the water approached. "Yeeeeeahh SMUSH IT!" And it did. Aw yeah.
She stopped to hold her wand above her head before moving on to the next castle. Spell time speeeelll time. Hehehe. With her wand still raised, she watched with her mouth open as castles around her were smushy smush smushed to a little pile of sand at the hands of her classmates. Or the gravity of her classmates. Or something. Why was it called gravity anyways? Who got to decide these things? What if it wasn't called gravity. What if it was called Norah-ty or something. Imagine having your name be a word people used ALL the time. And sounded SMART.
The Giant Squid was true to his word, so it seemed. Toby was a decent swimmer, and he would have made his way out of the water eventually, but it seemed that Bartholomew Henry had beaten him to it. One second, Toby was underwater, trying to remember which way was UP, and the next, a great tentacle had nudged him up to the surface.
He took a great breath, and grabbed for the edge of the platform.
"I'm okay! I'm okay!" SO okay, YEP. Everything had gone exactly as planned. "I'm good, I'm okay." Who was that nearby? Toby squinted up at the student silhouetted against the afternoon sun, and found that it was Dot. WELL, that was good, Dot was good people. "I'm alive."
And with that, Toby heaved himself out of the water and back onto the edge of the platform, unsure if the ease of getting back up was due to another helping tentacle from the Squid, or if all the tides and waves were handy in that sense.
WHEW. That had been... an interesting trip.

And also come on, Toby! She latched a hand around his elbow and tried to help him out of the water. "Do you need mouth to mouth resuscitation? I'm trained." She wasn't.

She approached, on the platform, one of the red castles and cleared her throat. OKAY. Here went.... "Aquatraxi Gravita!" and she watched as the tides rumbled forward, towards her and the red castle. The destruction was somewhat relaxing now...the sound was certainly relaxing to the girl.

She saw a 'Claw nearby asking for some Ravenclaws to come over...she had a plan? Eden didn't remember her name--oops?--but she wandered over to the girl [TORA]...and she smiled as she approached. "Okay...what's the plan?" she asked, eyeing up the remaining red and yellow castles...

Bye bye, Slytherin. Hehehe. They were eliminated from the championship. Knowing that only three houses left, he was soooo on fire to destroy more blue and yellow castles. The Korean boy then tried to find either yellow or blue castles to destroy. Hehehe. Walking around, he spotted 2 yellow castles and was ready to be destroy by him. Hehehehe...
Concentrating, Jackson tried to control the tide so it was powerful enough to destroy two castles in one time. But.. it only could destroy one for now. Sigh. Maybe he was tired and needed some break time first.
