The Arithmancy classroom is ready to be filled on a sunny February morning. Frost particles stubbornly cling to the windows, refusing to be melted by the weak winter sunlight. A large space has been cleared at the back of the classroom, but there does not seem to be any indication as to the reason. Perhaps Tanner is simply in the mood for early spring cleaning, but the abundance of cobwebs makes this unlikely. Plenty of desks are crammed, rather more tightly than usual, into the front of the room to accommodate the extra students from Professor Moxley's class. You don't mind being close to your neighbor, right?

Don't mind Zander, just being momentarily distracted by the fact that AJ got a taco delivery in the middle of a lesson??? WHAT THE HECK? Could he get Toddles to do that for him? They were bros now, weren't they? Merlin. Zander really needed to go talk to that elf, see if they could make arrangements for this kind of thing. Except... AJ would totally share one of her personal tacos with him, right?
Ahem.
What was that? Uh. Oh yeah, cellphones. Right. Zander could do that. He began sketching a rough drawing of one, looking up every now and then to make sure they still had time to finish up. After a few more details, he set his quill down and looked back up at Moxley expectantly. So what next, Captain?
Could it involve some of those tacos, please?

There was SO much information being thrown around about cell phones and Sophie took avid notes, trying to keep up. A lot of it she already knew because of Tobes, but some of it was brand new, too. And Moxley's praise of her answer made her smile big and give the Hufflepuff and Gryffindor beside her smug looks, even though they were undoubtedly unimpressed with her. She was just being a cheeky nerd.
...What was up with those tacos, though? Soph squinted in suspicion, but eventually, she just ignored that whole debacle. If it wasn't food she was going to get to eat any time soon, she didn't care.
Oops.
They were being instructed to draw a cell phone diagram, though, so the Ravenclaw did so. It was pretty easy to do as the visual of one was a lot less detailed than the landline they'd gone over before, so it only took her about half a minute before she was pleased with her work and sat back, admiring the sketches belonging to Zander and Tobes.

Janelle was taking so many notes that her fingers began to cramp, and then...... Where had that house elf come from. The smell of tacos hit Janelle before she saw them. Tacos. Just the thought made her mouth start to water. Man, A.J. was sooooo lucky. Maybe not lucky enough though because apparently she wasn't going to get to eat the tacos, at least not yet anyway.
Janelle tried to bring her focus back to the cell phone conversation, but it was hard. Tacos had a way of breaking ones concentration. Anyway, she managed to tune back in and write down most of what Professor Moxley said. Then it was time to draw a picture of the cell phone. Janelle began to copy the picture to the best of her ability. She wasn't bad at drawing, but the phone wasn't that hard to sketch. She looked at her picture, satisfied that it was satisfactory. Then Janelle waited to hear what they would be doing next.

While the kiddos were busy working, Moxley was busy minding the tacos. Not sorry over here, Ms. Valentine. Sorry not sorry. Same went for Tiara, though Moxley was pleased to know that the woman supported food in the classroom. She too was on this side of the debate. Speaking of, the Muggle Studies Professor nudged the Arithmancy Professor so that they could finish setting things up at the back of the room.
…
Returning to the front, Moxley noted that nearly everyone was done with their sketches now. BRILLIANT! That meant it was game time! YES! She could already anticipate the excitement and it made the brunette smile to herself. This lasted a moment and then she was clapping her hands to call everyone’s attention to the front.
”Alright everyone, we’re going to get started on today’s activity! As some of you mentioned before, cell phones have all kinds of apps on them that let you entertain yourself while you’re out and about. One such app is called Angry Birds and it’s all about launching these angry birds at certain targets and getting points for doing so.” There was more to it, obviously, but Moxley didn’t want to go into more detail than was needed. It’d only be confusing. ”We’ve modified this game a bit and you lot will be trying it out today!” GRIN! GRIN! GRIN!
”If you’ll turn your attention to the back of the room, you’ll notice that each side has a structure where many cardboard phone cutouts are perched on! You’ll also notice the slingshot-type instruments and the balls. Your goal? Work with your team to load and launch balls over to the opposing team’s side, knocking off their phone cutouts! The teams are the following: Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw against Slytherin and Gryffindor. The team who has knocked down the most cardboard phone cutouts by the end of class will be named the winner!” AWESOME, YES? YES! ”So pack away your things everyone and man your stations! Ravenpuffs to the right side, Slytherdors to the left!”
Once Moxley noted that people had moved, she gave them the countdown to launch. ”You may begin in five…four…three…two…one!” Hehe! Let the games begin!
1. The class will be split into TWO teams: Ravenpuff and Slytherdor! ( Ravenpuff team will be in charge of slingshot on right side of the classroom and aiming for structure on the opposing team’s side . Slytherdor in charge of slingshot on left side of classroom and will be aiming for structure on opposing team’s side)
2. Each team will work together to load balls (soft dodge ball-like balls) onto slingshots and aim them at the opposing team’s structure, which is located directly behind where the opposing team’s slingshots are. On each structure are colorful cardboard cutouts of phones and it is your job to work together to knock those over. Whoever has knocked down the most targets by the end of class will win.
3. The posts for a team have to alternate between “loading posts” and “launching posts.” Please label posts with Launching or Loading and your Team. Your aim is for your team to post in succession so that you can get a hit!
Example: SLYTHERDOR load post, SLYTHERDOR launch post = HIT!
SLYTHERDOR load post, RAVENPUFF load post, SLYTHERDOR launch post = MISS!
If someone posts at the same time as you, you’re allowed to utilize the EDIT button! Em and I understand that this happens so no worries!
Remember, you cannot score if you don’t have two posts by the same team in a row!
4. Please keep in mind that when you’re sending your dodge balls over towards the other team’s structure, the other team might be in your way and act as human obstacles! The balls are soft, so NO SERIOUS INJURIES SHOULD OCCUR!
5. Any questions can be PMed to us and we’ll get back to you A.S.A.P.

SPOILER!!: Make and Model limitations
While the benefits of cell phones were clear, at least in Meredith’s eyes, she did think it was important to note that they weren’t always the best choice and the first reasons she’d thought up were ones being shared right now.
”Very good, you lot! Cell phones aren’t indestructible. They can break quite easily and if you’re relying on them for communication, this can pose a huge problem. Not to mention that if you cannot get to a power source to charge your cell phone, a requirement if you want it to work, you’re also left without a means of staying in contact with people. Good.”
Zhenya raised an interesting point as well, one which caused Moxley to tap her chin thoughtfully. ”With the way cellular phones work, I do believe that someone with the right technology, perhaps the government, could intercept your call, yes.” Where did that come from, hm? Was this kiddo paranoid about something? Moxley gave her a raised eyebrow, I’m keeping my eyes on you-type look and then move on.
SPOILER!!: Chance of lost reception
”I can tell you from firsthand experience that lack of reception in an area outside a city is the worst!” Moxley nodded solemnly before continuing on. ”Ms. Brown did a good job explaining why landline phones might be more reliable, given that cell towers are important to a cell phone’s ability to make a call. If you’re out in the woods somewhere and something happens, you’re not guaranteed that you’ll be able to get in contact with someone for help. All depends on how close the towers are to your area, good.” Sophie got a smile and a nod. Angel, too, since she’d had the same idea.
”Mr. Mordaunt’s answer goes nicely with this as he mentioned that sometimes not answering your phone puts the people around you into a sort of panic. With landline phones, people understand that you could be out of the house or in the shower, unable to answer the call. Since cell phones are portable, people have more cause to be concerned if you don’t answer, even if you’re unable to because of reception or other reasons.”
SPOILER!!: Financial difficulty
Money, yes. Moxley knew a little about spending too much on things. AHEM. MUGGLE ARTIFACTS. AHEM. So she could see where this might become a problem for some people. ”Very good, you two! When you get a cell phone, you not only pay for the phone, but for the service to run the phone, as well. It can get pricey, depending on how much you’re doing on your phone, and you have to be careful not to go overboard.” NOT that she was one to go overboard or anything. PSH. Couldn’t relate to that… MOVING ON!
SPOILER!!: Social problems and, perhaps, health problems?
These were the answers Moxley had anticipated and she nodded her head, a small smile gracing her lips. ”You can become addicted to your cell phone, yes, or actually, the services that your cell phone offers. It’s like having all forms of entertainment that you can get at home, the games and music and even television, but with you always.” And if that wasn’t a distraction from the things going on outside of the screen on your phone, Moxley didn’t know what was. ”Having all that available to you wherever you go makes it much easier to disregard the people and the things happening around you. In some cases, it gives people a way to hide from responsibilities, from having to tell people things face-to-face, and from knowing how to communicate wat they feel in person.” Which was a shame, really. ”This leaves some people feeling terribly out of sorts when their phones lose power or service, forcing them into the world without them. It’s interesting to think about, also concerning. Definitely something to keep in mind.”
Oh, and Ms. Kittredge's point! Moxley had nearly forgotten. "Norah's gramps brings up an interesting point about our health in relation to these phones. While I haven't read any studies that indicate your brain would indeed turn to jello-lovely stuff, very delicious!-prolonged use could certainly have some kind of negative impact on us. That is still being looked into, actually." Mhm!
SPOILER!!: TACOS, TACOS, TACOS
Well, she’d had class attention until tacos happened and truth be told, now Moxley was distracted as well. TACOS. They smelled lovely, they looked lovely, and they made Moxley wish she had a plate for herself. The brunette found that she was suddenly making her way over to Ms. Valentine, her stomach rumbling as she did. She was just…going to investigate, okay? Especially after what Mr. Mordaunt had said.
”CLASS, ATTENION!” That meant to be quiet, FYI. ”I’m just going to…keep watch over these tacos for the rest of the lesson, and if Ms. Valentine feels like sharing once class has ended, she’s certainly free to do so.” The Muggle Studies Professor then picked up the plate and took a sniff, her nostrils filling with taco-y goodness. Mm. The smile was immediate. AHEM. ”Don’t worry, Ms. Valentine. I’ll be sure they stay warm.” There were charms for that, y’know. And so Moxley made her way back to the front, setting the plate of Tacos on Tiara’s desk for safe keeping.
Once that was done, Moxley tapped the picture she’d placed on the board and then addressed the group. ”I’d like for everyone to copy down what the cell phone looks like, please. A rough sketch will do. Just something you should have so that you can compare it to the drawing of the landline phone I trust you all still have in your notes. Once you’ve finished that, we’ll get into the activity!” Moxley smiled at Tiara excitedly and then checked to see that the kiddos were getting to work.
OOC: One post will do for drawing the cell phone! We'll be starting with the main activity next time I post!

Silently she made her way through the rows of desks and found the girl she sought. "Psssst, special delivery for miss," she whispered to AJ Valentine, setting the plate on the desk. "Enjoy, miss!"
And before the girl could say anything, the little elf disappeared with another POP!
The unmistakable pop that announced the arrival of a house elf immediately caught her attention. They were so cute and AJ really wanted one even if Professor Thompson insisted it would be practically impossible.
Why would an elf suddenly appear? They didn't usually just do that in the middle of the lesson without some sort of agenda...
Sniff. Sniff.
That was tacos. She would know that smell anywhere. A plate of hot, juicy and mouth watering inducing tacos were set before her. "For me?" But the elf was gone before she could get the words out.
Tacos, tacos, tacos.
AJ rubbed her hands together and contemplated on which one looked the meatiest. With a lick of her lips, she went in two handed but...
SPOILER!!: Cutty
"I wouldn't eat those if I were yew, AJ. Might be jinxed or poisoned." He said turning toward his class mate. It was just suspicious. Suspicious tacos turning up in the middle of classtime. "Don't let her eat them, Adi." Cutty gripped the hilt of his wand and turned it on the soft shelled intruders. "SpeRevelio." He casted at them as the room began to smell like a delicious food truck.
Good thing he wasn't her because she was going to inhale them. Who would go around poisoning tacos? Why waste delicious food? Better yet who would want to poison AJ? She was a super fun girl.
Brushing off his worries, she was attempting to once again grab a taco. Then something he said made her eye twitch. "Let me? Let me?" she spluttered. Was he dropped on his head as a child? AJ did not need permission from Adi to do anything.
If she hadn't of been so consumed with his little comment insinuating that she would let someone dictate what went in her mouth, she would have noticed that he was just concerned about her well being. As it was she just saw him as trying to come between her and a tasty treat.
No tacos for Cutty.
SPOILER!!: Adi
"Oh, no you don't, AJ,'' the Hufflepuff whispered just as Cutty spoke. His eyes flicked to his favourite Snake and nodded. The two were thinking along the same lines. "Cutty's right. We don't know what's up with them.'' Cue more suspicious looks at the VERY tempting tacos before looking at Zeke and Eden and shaking his head at them. Nuh uh. Adi didn't think so, guys, though he agreed with Lux. The should all get tacos. After all, it had been a joint Muggle Studies and Arithmancy class that he and AJ had made tacos their thing.
Buuuuut since Moxley was going to take charge, Adi didn't say anything else about the taco matter. All he knew was that if they were safe to eat, then AJ was sharing one with him. Yep.
AJ just stared at the boyfriend. She was trying to figure out when he and Cutty became her keepers. They were not going to stop her from eating the tacos... no matter what they said.
"Try and stop me..." They were just a meat filled present. Stop raining on her taco parade. He too was just looking out for her well being, but she couldn't see that at the moment. She was looking through taco colored glasses.
No tacos for Adi either.
SPOILER!!: Eden
........DID EDEN SMELL TACOS? She wanted taco. She did. Her nose knew EXACTLY where those tacos were, too--her head turned sharply to look at Aj ..."You should shaaaare your tacos--" she hissed at her. "It would only be NICE--remember that one time I totally saved your life?" Because Eden was totally using that as taco leverage right now, no shame.
At least Eden wasn't trying to tell her how to live her life. AJ nodded in agreement. The Ravenclaw had a point. That kind of logic was how she probably got put in the house known for their smarts.
"You DID save my life." She would never forget and AJ would always have her back. "I'll totally share with you. I'll even let you have second pick." After her of course. Let's not get crazy here.
SPOILER!!: Zeke
Phones were okay, but it was hardly interesting enough to stop him from becoming distracted. And FOOD was the most powerful distraction of them all.
WHY WERE THERE TACOS IN THE CLASS?
And WHYYYY did AJ get them all?
Zeke was staring, wishing the plate was meant for him. It never even occurred to him that something might be off about it until that Cutty dude mentioned poison and stuff. Still, he didn't think that would be the case. Why would an elf poison a student? And of all the students that would benefit from a poisoning, why then pick AJ?
She was good peeps. SO good in fact, that she should share with him. Mmhhmm.
"I can help you with those if you want," he whispered in her (AJ's) direction.
Umm... did AJ need help with her tacos? Nope. She was good. In fact, she would have no problem shoveling them all into her mouth. That was really nice of him to offer though. A second hand COULD come in handy though. Taco meat was tricky business.
Oh wait. He wanted a taco. Duh! It was hard to concentrate when the beefy goodness was wafting about and clouding her brain. "You can have one too, buddy." It wasn't every day someone was so open to farting with you in class. How could she not do him a solid?
SPOILER!!: Lux
...Why were there tacos in the classroom? And why were they just for AJ? That wasn't fair; Lux wanted tacos too. So did a lot of people. "I think we should all get tacos!" Yep, that would be the right thing to do.
Watching as Cutty cast the spell on them, she wondered who would poison delicious food...and who would use said poisoned food on AJ of all people. Mostly she just wondered if she could get a plate of tacos too because she had been craving them for half the lesson.
All right. Let's simmer down over there, Lux. AJ suddenly was feeling all mama bear over her tacos, and here Lux was trying to get her to share with the whole class.
"I'll give you one, too." she whispered to her Hufflepuff friend. Now, stop being a share bear with my tacos. It was funny that when it came down to tacos she all of a sudden became a mathematician. AJ was very friendly and she loved to share, buuuut these were her absolute favorite.
SPOILER!!: Taco thief
All of the taco defending and math calculations had only led to her getting ZERO tacos because before she had a chance to nom them Moxley was making her way over.
Oh no. The look on her face spelled trouble for her tacos. Instinctively AJ tried to shield the beauties with her body, but it was no use. Moxley had snatched them up.
She figured that the Muggle Studies professor would have understood and let her eat them right then and there. Disappointment was written all over her face. "Just one little nibble?" Apparently not. At the very least, she had promised to keep them warm. "Thanks..." for nothing.
SPOILER!!: Tanner
Tiara had thought AJ would rather enjoy those tacos she had sent for.. until Professor Moxley stole them. But it was during her section of the lesson, so Tiara supposed there wasn't much she could do about it. Catching AJ's eye, she mouthed SORRY in her direction. Hopefully they wouldn't all be gone by the end of class. Meredith looked a bit hungry up there.
Well, Tiara may be a muggleborn, but she saw no reason not to join in on the sketching activity. Making her way up front to her desk where the stolen tacos resided, she grabbed a piece of parchment, inkwell, and quill. Scribble, scratch, sccraaaaaape. After a minute or so, she had a reasonable likeness of what Meredith had shown the students. Not bad!
In mid sulk, AJ looked over to where her tacos waited for her. Just as she counted the last taco (we don't fully trust Moxley) her eyes made contact with her Arithmancy professor.
Sorry?
Ohhh... the floating parchment. It all made sense now. Tanner had given her the tacos. AJ absolutely beamed up at her new favorite professor. 'Thank you' she mouthed back. Professor Tanner could have as many tacos as she wanted. This was the greatest gift ever. The only thing that would make this any better would be if Moxley had some manners. HMPF!
Now she needed to draw a phone, but she was still majorly distracted. She wanted her tacos, and she wanted them now. Picking up her quill she began her sketch.
Pretty much she just made a huge rectangle and made little squares inside that would be her apps. She drew a picture of a phone for the icon that represented the call button. On the side of her paper she drew tacos and sad faces.
AJ was all sorts of awesome, as evidenced by her willingness to share her tacos with him. Just... epic. "You rock my world," he stated sincerely, perhaps staring in amazement. SHARING FOOD WAS A BIG DEAL YO! "I'll return the favour," he added. Cause... there would surely be a time where the opportunity would present itself. Cake in the common room anyone? Or better yet, self saucing puddings? Yeah.
... and boo.
No food NOW, they'd have to wait. Shame. It'd be easier to eat it and get it over and done with, he was going to be SO distracted till the end of the lesson now.
And...
What did they have to do?
Draw a phone?
A cell phone?
OKAY!
Looking up every so often in the direction of the food, his stomach rumbling a little, he penned his phone diagram!picture thing.
And then before he knew it, it was activity time. He listened carefully to the instructions, and turned his head to look at the structures behind them. HILARIOUS. HAHAHAHA.
Ahem.
But yes, games, and a TEAM game as it was. Of course, this time there would be no confusion with working WITH Slytherin as opposed to against them.
"Let's do this, team," he beamed at PEOPLE in general as he cleared away his things. SUPER eager to get started. Once that was done he practically skipped to their slingshot thing and grabbed a ball. "How far back to we need to pul this thing d'you reckon?" he asked his closest team people. Loading seemed easy enough, it would be launching that they'd need to get the hang of.
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Activity time!
As usual Hufflepuff paired up Ravenclaw. Adi didn't mind, he simply slinked off towards the back of the class, on the right side. He had played Angry Birds a lot though he preferred Fruit Ninja. Anywhoooo!
Time to get loading first, yes? "Let's do this, team!'' Wheee! They needed better team work than that Charms class with the flags and he knew they could do it! Adi always have positive thoughts. Yup!
The Hufflepuff wasted no time in loading one of those balls onto a sling shot. DONE! NOW TO LAUNCH to one of the Slytherdor's cardboard cut outs!

Zhenya nodded thoughtfully when Professor Moxley confirmed her suspicions. But... what was with the look? Zhenya gulped. Was her response a bit... sketchy? Hmm... eep!
Zhenya listened to all of the other responses, and jotted down some dot points. All this phone stuff was quite interesting, but a bit confusing as well. Zhenya didn't really understand muggle technology, but kudos to them for inventing such things.
It was time to draw the photo of the phone, which Zhenya did. She tried to draw the straight lines, with even curves, but it didn't look very neat. And all the other symbols inside the screen were difficult to draw, so she just made up some pictures.
And now it was activity time! Zhenya listened as Professor Moxley explained it. She had no idea what the angry bird was but it sounded like fun. And of course they wouldn't be playing it on the phones, they would be playing it for real! Zhenya packed her things away quickly, eager to get on with the fun. They were teaming with the Lions, which suited Zhenya fine, and she walked over to the left where the SlytherDors were assembling.
Zeke was ready, loading the slingshot. Zhenya shrugged at him, she wasn't sure. "If we miss, it's all good. We'll learn the tension and everything," she said, then helped Zeke to pull the slingshot back.
And PING!

A GAME.
ANOTHER GAME.
Hehehehe.
Eden loved games, yeah? And she got in position as soon as Moxley told them to gear up--Eden ruuuuushed over the little launch-y thing and smiled at Adi, who had loaded it. She launched it quickly, hoping that it hit its target....

Learn the tensions and things, "Exactly that," he replied, agreeing wholeheartedly. Then again, he would probably have agreed with anything she said... .... ....
He watched the ball PING out of the slingshot as they let go, but unfortunately it had fallen short. Dang.
"Maybe a bit more tension next time," he concluded with a shrug.
There was only one way to find out, as Zeke grabbed another ball. JUMP IN EVERYONE! He placed it in the slingshot bit but didn't pull back on it, instead he gestured for it in case anyone else wanted to have a turn.

Partnering again with Gryffindor?!
Too bad these professors didn't witness what happened back in the ditch during their Charms' Capture the Flag game. That was such a terrible moment for the Slytherin, being hopeful and all that Slytherin and Gryffindor can and will work together. Let's just say their counterparts weren't paying attention at that time. Ethan packed away his things silently, contemplating if the Slytherdor Team will work out this time. With a grunt, he stood up and stowed away his things and went to the left side of the room where the rest of the Slytherdor team stood.
The seventeen year old watched the first launch, and his team scored a miss! Oh man, game anxiety perhaps?
Anyway, he needed to contribute somehow.
Ethan stood behind Zhenya and Zeke and tapped both of their shoulders. "Let me show you how it's done!" Lulz. It was as if it isn't his first time? Showoff. Ethan got hold of the slingshot, pulled it back...aimed at one of the targets in the middle...and RELEASE!
...

yessss. Lux was all for the sharing of tacos. Beam. She mouthed a 'thank you' to her friend before activity time was announced. ...WHY was it always Hufflepuffs against Gryffindor? Had the Peofessors never heard of changing things up? Of Gryffinpuffs? Siiiigh. She was always pitted against her favourite House.
At least the game sounded like fun even though she had never played Angry Birds before.

When Professor Moxley told everyone to pack up, Penelope put away her notes and moved her desk back to the row where it belonged. Small spaces were one thing that she really didn't like, and dodgeball was another one of those things that freaked her out. Even if this wasn't a game where you were trying to hit other people there was a chance that you would be hit by any balls that missed. Whatever happened to her during the activity, it couldn't be as bad as Professor Flamsteed's pendulum dodgeball. This might be fun if she was able to avoid being hit by the balls.
Lux had loaded a ball into the slingshot, and now it just needed to be fired. Penelope pulled back on the slingshot thing, aiming for the Slytherdor targets. Releasing the slingshot, she watched the ball fly across the room and knock over one of the phone cutouts.

Showoff. Ethan got hold of the slingshot, pulled it back...aimed at one of the targets in the middle...and RELEASE!
...
SCOOORE!!!
Next?
He wasn't going to hog the thing, he was a TEAM player, so when Ethan tapped him on the shoulder he was happy to step aside and let him take it, handing over the ball in the process.
Dude sounded cocky, and for good reason too... HE GOT A HIT!
"Nice," Zeke mused with a nod.
SPOILER!!: EVIL RAVENPUFFS! hehe

Lux had loaded a ball into the slingshot, and now it just needed to be fired. Penelope pulled back on the slingshot thing, aiming for the Slytherdor targets. Releasing the slingshot, she watched the ball fly across the room and knock over one of the phone cutouts.
But there was no time for getting complacent with their hit... because in seconds it was countered by the other side.
Darn.
"Agin, let's do it again!" he rallied, grabbing a ball and loading it back up. Was Ethan going to take it again? Or did someone else want a turn? And they needed to jump about and block the other sides shots, he was all for doing that.

Oh what? Did they just? REVENGE! They must go and hit their precious targets, because they can't lose to the Ravenpuffs, can they? NOPE!
Ethan did a quick sweep of his mates, and none of them were in the mood (yet) to jump into action.
Fine. Fine!
Zeke got a nod, and positioned himself to launch another ball towards their enemy. "I got this."
PULL. AIM. FIRE!!!
HIT!
Yusssssss!

Awh, man!
Their first launch had been a miss! Oh, well. They scored the next time soooooo... WOOT! "Go, Lux!'' Adi raised his hand for a high five before grabbing another one of the balls. Here's to hoping they would have better luck this time than the first launch.
He loaded the round object onto the slingshot and with all the strength he could muster, he pulled the contraption back. Now all they needed to do was launch and let it saaaaaaaail over to the Slytherdors' cutouts!
OH NO PROFESSOR MOXLEY WAS TAKING THE TACOS AWAY. And also, Cutty was trying to persuade Adi to not LET Aj have the tacos? Pffft. AJ, you eat those tacos if you want to! HMPH.
This should be a crime. Leaving tacos uneaten like that. Eden wanted to stare lovingly at the tacos all day....ugh.
UGH.
Well fine...they had to draw a TELEPHONE. But now Eden's stomach was rumbling and she wanted food so badly. She was literally going to starve to death in this very classroom, and it was all Moxley's fault for hoarding the tacos in the front of the room.
Yep.
So Eden flipped back to her picture of the old phone and decided to draw this diagram right next to it. It would make for a good comparison if she ever needed to write an essay on it or something.
There was a time when he once would've offered to take Eden out for tacos after seeing the way she coveted the ones brought to AJ, but the look on his face now suggested something else entirely. Sometime along the lines of: Booht, do yer really need another taco, Eden? Do yer?
Magdalena Traulton was right.
He dipped one of his older quills into the ink and took it, drippingly to his parchment. The drawing was really a set of long and short boxes. The largest representing the body of the cell phone and then the smaller ones subsequent for the framelike thing around the screen and then the buttons themselves. He hadn't put two and two together, and so drew the time as a series of numbers separated by nothing more than a : .
It was richly symbolic, he decided, looking back on it. It was like the Muggles were trying to do some form of alchemy. "Siccus Aerous." He sprayed the thing with an aridity spell and stuffed it into his Muggle Studies notes and headed to the left with the rest of the clowns.
He witnessed his cousin making a hit for Slyterdor and decided to prep the slingshot quickly before Adi made his count. Cutty grabbed one of the softee balls and puuuuullled back on the slingshot before placing the ball against it.
#1 Slytherdor launch & HIT! :3 (Zeke & Lux in here too)
<--- Random | Funfetti | Lima Bean | Slytherpuff | PURPLE | Hoarder of pens | ALWAYS Severus
She couldn't help but to beam at Zeke. That boy was always down for whatever and he was just really cool. AJ enjoyed his company. "I do what I can," she said with a playful smirk. Ohhh... him returning the favor could mean so many delicious opportunities. "I'm going to take you up on that." Better believe she wasn't going to turn down food.
Lux's mouthed thanks didn't go unnoticed either. She got a smile and a wink because the activity was starting, and it was going to be FUN. Angry birds was so much fun and that was just playing it on the phone. Real life angry birds... now THAT was going to be epicness.
Have no fear... AJ is here. Slytherins and Gryffindors had this in the bag. AJ was a huge asset to any team because she was really a boy and she was super athletic.
Cutty had them set up and AJ raced over to help. "Just a liiiiitle more to the left." AJ stood beside Cutty and helped him pull back the slingshot. Teamwork got things done.
She released the slingshot and watched as the ball sailed across to the enemy camp. HIT!!! "We make a good team." Completely forgetting for a moment that he was wanting to keep her tacos from her.

Not sure where to jump in, Kate watched for a few moments before springing into action. She stood by Adi and watched as he loaded a ball into the slingshot. Watching...watching...watching... Oh, darn! A miss! "That's okay! We'll get it next time!" she said, trying to encourage her team. Kate was suddenly in a good position to try the load and launch herself, so she grabbed a ball and stepped up to the slingshot.
Loading it, she began to pull back on the slingshot. "This is harder than it looks," she said, wishing another boy had gone up next. She struggled to muster up all the strength she had, and when she'd gone as far as she could, it was time to launch. "Alright, here goes..."

Looky!
There went a ball from his team! Adi watched as the ball took off, gaining momentum as it sailed towards the Slytherdor targets.
Was it going to hit? WAS IT?
Apparently it was! Wheeeee! The ball crashed into one of the targets, knocking it over flat on its back. GOOOOOOOOO, TEAM! Go, Kateeeeeeeee!
Hiss!Roar!Growl!Caw! | Hermione's Double | The Little Three | Alecate
It hit?! "Awesome!" Kate cheered, still in disbelief that she'd hit it. "I didn't think I had a chance. Let's try it again!" She had no idea what the score was, but if they kept working together and having the same luck they did a few seconds ago, they might have a chance at winning this thing! She had no idea if there was an actual prize or anything like that, but it'd be fun to say they won. Especially considering her house was currently dead last in the house points race. It'd be nice to at least come out in top with something.
Kate reached for another ball and gripped it tightly as she pulled back on the slingshot. Loading the ball, she held her breath as she tried with all her might to pull back on the slingshot. "Alright, take two!" she said.

Reason: Titled it incorrectly. >_<

Before he even had the chance to reload, Kate was on it again. Adi decided he would take a mini break and watch his friend do her thing. So he did just that. Into the slingshot went the ball and then she was pulling the slingshot back...
Annnnnnnd LAUNCH TIME!
This ball went airborne and shot off with great speed towards the Slytherin's and Gryffindor's cutouts...
SMACK!
Into ont it went, knocking it over.
SCORE TWO FOR KATE AND ANOTHER FOR TEAM RAVENPUFF!

"Nicely done, you two!" Ethan beamed at his cousin and AJ, giving both of them a nice pat on the shoulder. However, it was too early to celebrate because those Ravenpuffs began to attack them with those dodge balls twice in a row!
Not good!
"All right you lot, I need some help here!" Ethan loaded the slingshot and waited for any of his comrades to fire the ball.

It seemed that her previous launch was not a success, an Eden sighed because she had tried REALLY hard. But no matter--it looked like they had gotten some points? Maybe? Hard to tell. They'd certainly knocked some phones over.
She glanced quickly at the Slytherdor launch pad, had a brief thought about sabotaging it, but saw that she was up to load! She placed the ball on the launch pad and waited for one of her other team mates to step right up and launch that little sucker!

COME ON RAVENPUFFS!
Kate was just about to load another ball onto the slingshot, when she noticed that Eden was doing that very thing. "Go Eden!" she said. "We got this!" Kate hurried up to the slingshot to encourage Eden and help her smack the target. A moment later, the ball had launched into the air and was sailing toward the target. Kate held her breath as she watched it soar along.
She didn't realize it, but she'd been crossing her fingers for good luck. She was really getting into this slingshot match. A moment later, their launch was a success. "You did it, Eden!" she said. "Go, RavenPuff!"
Eden smiled at the younger 'Claw, Kate, and BEAMED when she launched the ball and HIT THE TARGET, YEAH! "No, YOU did it!" she said, giving the girl a high five. GOOOOO RAVENPUFFS! Eden thought they were doing pretty well.
She grabbed another ball, quickly, and set it up in the launching thing. She waited for Kate or something else to launch the ball and, you know, HOPEFULLY hit more targets.
Because go Ravenpuffs.
