oh LOOK! Norah was going to shoot! Adi zoomed over to help him team and Housemate. He grinned at her as he grabbed the slingshot and pulled it back... annnnd let it fly!

SMACK! There went another cut out!

GO, TEAM RAVENPUFF!

WOOT!!!

If this match didn't end soon, Kate was going to wear herself out over all the energy she was exerting. She had no idea she was this competitive until now. Maybe that's why she ended up in Ravenclaw. Maybe all this energy was a reflection on how hard she worked in classes and on her homework.

She wanted to take another turn with the slingshot, so when the last person hit the target and stepped away, she stepped up. This was so easy by now. She remembered how hard it was to pull back the slingshot when she first started. Heh. She grabbed a hold of the slingshot and pulled it back as far as she could. Once she had it there, she reached for a ball and put it in place.

Time for another point added to the scoreboard! Hopefully, that is...

Alright.

Kate was still on a roll. As her team mate, Adi just knew he had to keep helping her out too. That was why as soon as he had noticed her loading another ball, he left Norah to bustle over to his Ravenclaw friend.

He helped her tug on the slingshot and then releaseeee so that the ball SHOT towards the other team’s cut outs, knocking one of them over. Even at the speed it had been going, they had hit it! How about a high five, Kate?


Dare we say it? Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff made a great team!

Eden couldn't believe it, when she heard the score announcement...they were SO AHEAD. It felt so GREAT TO BE WINNING, LET'S BE HONEST HERE. Eden clapped and cheered but got right back to work, going to load up another launcher with a ball.

"NICE!" she gave Adi and Kate a thumbs up and a SMILE for their joint effort. Hufflepuffs were awesome, weren't there? HEHE. And Ravenclaws, too, OBVIOUSLY.

She placed the ball in the launcher.

OKAY. Time to see if they made this one..

Adi returned the thumbs up as he shuffled over to Kate. He was going to help her this time around since she was already loading a ball. He stood beside her and helped her with the slingshot.

WOOT! There went the ball, zooming for the aimed at fast, moving cut out! SMASHHHH! Bye, bye cutouut!

Cutty wasn't worried. Not in the slightest when he pulled up to the catapult like contraption and fired off his cousin's load. He aimed straight for the Ravenpuff catapult, however instead of concentrating on the cutout targets.

The softish ball went soaring at a low lying trajectory and bounced off the surface of the ball hold.

Time to load up another ball? Alriiiiight, Toby was ON this. He'd already grabbed another ball ready to load into the slingshot, so that he could jump in when there was a space to do so and keep things running smoothly and all that, like they'd been doing so far.

And that was what he did now. After the last ball was flung across, Toby stepped up and loaded the next ball into the slingshot thing and eyed the targets across the room. They were going pretty fast, so obviously the person flinging the ball should be the one to take aim. Time it perfectly, all that.

That person wouldn't be Toby, though. He was content to just do one thing at a time, and so simply shuffled back again to allow someone else to catapult the ball over. Teamwork, all that.

The miss didn't seem to bother Cutty all that much whilst under the influence of his potion. Perhaps it did, though and the signs weren't there as he was unable to express them whilst under it's influence. This whole 11th hour thing, though...It made him feel a bit like a last level boss.

He could live with that.



Grabbing another of the soft balls, Cutty loaded it into the catapult-like contraption and maybe someone would come and aim it. It wasn't in his expectation that he'd have help with anything in his life, though. Thus, it always seemed to blow him away each and every time as he regarded it as something of an anomaly.

Uggg the Ravenpuffs still had a seven point lead on them!. Benny couldn't help but feel a little saddened by Moxley's announcement of the fact. However it was her speeding up of the cellphone cutouts that made him softly groan. This was getting harder and harder to do and one could only hope that the faster targets would slow the other team down as well. The sixth year was going to be holding onto that wish.

After a small break, Benny was ready to head back in position to load another foam ball into the sling shot. At least the supply of them wasn't ending for them. Except Cutty stepped in instead. Fine by him. He in turn changed tactics and aimed for one of the fast moving phones.

Ready...aim....fire...

HIT!

Wow, they were in the home stretch. Things just got more intense. Lux cheered as she saw her teammates make more hits. "Awesome, guys! Everyone is doing amazing." They so deserved Chocolate Frogs for all their hard work. Okay, she just wanted candy. But she would share it with everyone!

Toby loaded another ball, and Lux decided that she would send it over to the other side. Stepping up to the sling shot, she fired away... and missed.

Awww.

Atreyu was there and sort of taking charge. Cutty didn't seem to mind though. The ends of all things justified the means of all things, afterall. And he always had a thing for men of action.

Was he still dating that Valentine sister?

Anyway, Cutty grabbed one of the foam balls from the supply and quickly loading the Slytherdor catapult.

Slytherdor was really gaining on them now! Kate cast a worried look in the direction of the other team. It seemed like Moxley's last score update really woke up the other team. They were closing in that gap in points a little too closely for Kate's liking.

She watched while Toby aimed for the target, shot the ball, and missed. Oh, darn. That could have been another point! Well, you can't them all, can you?

Seeing nobody currently at the slingshot, Kate stepped forward to try and earn that point. She grabbed a ball and held it firmly in one hand while pulling back the slingshot with the other hand. Placing the ball in the slingshot, she waited, trying to get a good aim before shooting.

There was Addison, though. And she looked like she meant business. Not taking any chances, Cutty fired off the Slytherdor catapult and aimed it for the cell phone right above the girls heads. He might have hit them, but he wasn't aiming to. It would've just have been a happy coincidence if it hit.

The foam ball went about it's haphazard trajectory and hit the corner of the one of the cutouts making it spin but not quite knocking it down.

After firing off a missed ball, Lux hoped that the next go would be a success. Maybe she would do some more loading soon, but she wanted everyone to have a chance. She wouldn't hog the sling shot though, because that wouldn't be very fair.

Lux wanted everyone to have fun and enjoy the game.

The next ball was another miss. Awww. Surely they would get another one soon!

You know what was more fun than winning? Stopping other people from winning. At least, that was how the Slytherin saw it. So when he missed his target it wasn't a big deal. In fact, it sort of put a smile on his face. He took out his wand, Accio'd another ball, and with his wand in his mouth stuffed the soft thing into the launching cup.


Ready if you want it now, dangerboy.

Kate frowned as her ball missed the target. She'd done so well so far! How could she have missed? RavenPuff had missed two or three in a row, so they have to get back into their groove! "It's okay. We still have this!" she said. Kate stepped back up to the sling shot, a determined look on her face. She would get it this time! She just had to!

Kate grabbed a hold of a ball and the sling shot and pulled back on the sling shot. Placing the ball inside, she eyed the target, sure she had things aimed just perfectly. Okay, here goes nothing...

Was he having another impulsive moment? Because the senior snake boy was enjoying this entirely too much. It wasn't too unlikely that by the end of class his Whimaway potion was wearing off a bit. Also, just the general excitement of the game. Games and competition. Yeah, he liked those. This was a good exercise, Professors Tanner & Moxinator.

He pulled back and released not really bothering to aim. The ball went careening through the skies of the classroom and didn't come near anything.

After two misses in a row, Lux was crossing her fingers that the third time would be a charm. What do you know...it wasn't.

What was going on here? Were the nerves starting to get the better of them? Lux wasn't sure. All she knew was that her team was still doing an amazing job. "We are doing awesome, guys!" She did another fist pump. Maybe it would be FOURTH time the charm instead.

His mouth was still full of wand as he grabbed it out of his mouth and summoned yet another one of the soft balls. Holding his wand like a dog holds a bone, Cutty caught the ball and placed it into the pad for loading the instrument. He looked across the space at the Ravenpuff girls manning their catapult. It was him against Addison and Carrington. Weren't they cuuuuuute?



Cutty, wand still in his mouth, got into position. He moved quickly as he puuuulllled back on the catapult preparing to also launch.

It was a good solid hit but only one. They still had a way to go. Cutty was there with another ball loaded but before Benny had a chance to try and shoot it, the Slytherin aimed and let it go for a miss this time. Um...okay. Weren't they supposed to be working as a team? None of the rest of them had been doing both tasks on their own, at least the sixth year didn't think he had seen it from any of the other teammates around him.

Oh well.

Benny was going to give it another go. He grabbed the sling shot and took aim onto one of the phone.

One...two...three...HIT!

This time Lux wanted to do the loading for the team. She didn't think that anyone would mind since she hadn't been hogging the sling shot. Hogging stuff was mean and so not cool.

Grabbing another ball, Lux loaded it on the sling shot and tried her best to aim it right at one of the targets. Here goes nothing.

Alright, Atreyu! Gettin' it done!

Cutty wasn't really in it to win it. But so long as he had back up...hey, why not. And just like the kimodos of Rinca, company at a feast was well accepted. The dragons were afterall communal feeders and where there was a rustle for a food source, there was usually not one but two or five other kimodos.


Cutty reached up and tore his wand out of his mouth. "Accio balls." He tried not to laugh as he caught the ball and loaded it into the machine.

Another hit and he and Cutty had done it again. See....teamwork. Even more special since it was one person from each of the two houses that made up the team. Who said Snakes and Lions still hated each other. Could they continue to work together and try and catch their team up in the scores?

Cutty set up the loader once more and Benny was ready. He aimed the silng shot ahead of one of the phones that he was focusing on, waiting but a few moments before letting it go. It was going across the room towards the other team until finally...score another for the Slytherdor team!

So Tia had mostly just been observing and watching her teammates for like most of the activity portion of the class. It seemed kind of silly this game, but when she saw Lux set down the slingshot, she figured she ought to give it a try. She watched all the trials and tribulations and she might as well get some credit for showing up to class today.

Picking up the slingshot, the fifth year pulled it back and aimed for the cardboard cutout. Close her eyes. Release.

Open the eyes.

And ooos ... missed! oh well, better luck better time ...

Cutty could hardly hide a stupid grin from his face as he turned toward the Gryffindor. There was something about the people of Godric's house that Cutty seemed to admire more so than any of the other houses. They were ...unafraid. And in a world that most insufferably twee runny babbits seemed to think was Oh sooo scawwy, Cutty could appreciate truest of grits.


He could load all day if he had to. It was decided as he picked up one of the balls he'd summoned moments ago and stuffed it into the pad of their catapult. Which needed a name, by the way.
