 Welcome to Herbology. I expect us to have a successful year if you follow these simple rules each time you report to my class. Remember at all times that I am not only your professor of Herbology, but also the Headmistress of the school which you currently attend. I have been here longer than you and have worked with plants longer than you have been alive, so that's to say that I have earned a certain level of respect from you before you even meet me. If you follow these rules and meet my expectations, then you can expect the same level of respect from me, and will receive passing grades as well.

Students entering the Herbology classroom area should:- Be on time for class.
- Be prepared for class with all required materials.
- Be dressed appropriately for class in a tidy Hogwarts uniform.
- Have completed the required pre-reading or homework assignment.
- Have taken care of all personal hygiene matters prior to entering class.
- Be respectful during class of the professor, classmates, and classroom.
- Be open-minded and ready to learn in class.
Students not meeting these basic expectations will face consequences, including but not limited to:- Loss of house points
- Detention
- Head of House contact
- Parent letter home
- Further discipline per Headmistress decision.

Please label all Herbology homework assignments with your name, House, year, and the date in the upper-left corner of the parchment. Title the assignment with the number of the homework and the class to which it pertains. Submit your homework in a timely manner for prompt feedback.
Late submissions and homework which is improperly formatted will not be accepted.
OOC: Submit your homework by pasting it into this questionnaire. As usual, include your username, house, year, and member ID. Your member ID is all the numbers after your username in the URL of your profile. For example, if you click on or mouse over my username, you'll see the full-url-banabatgirl-81940. That's my member ID!
If you have a question about homework, you can PM or VM me. Otherwise, PLEASE use the questionnaire! My inbox is plenty full and I don't want to miss your awesome submissions.

Anyone and everyone can work in the Greenhouses or Student Garden. They are free to use and there is always plenty of work to be completed. You do not need to sign up for a time to garden, pull weeds, or trim plants; just help yourself to the materials available.
If you wish to work extensively at a long-term project and are unsure if Hogwarts has the supplies you require, please visit the Headmistress in her office in the castle.
Greenhouses 1-3 are left unsupervised and unlocked throughout the day, although the Groundskeeper will close them at night. Greenhouses 4 and 5 are locked at all times, so please see the Headmistress to unlock them for you. The student garden is always open to visitors, and the benches make a nice place to relax, read, or sketch. Please limit your PDA to other areas of the grounds, however. The plants are overly sensitive to your mouth-sucking noises.
Finally, extra credit is sporadically awarded, unannounced, to those students who take it upon themselves to contribute to the greenhouses or student garden. The larger and more frequent your contribution, the more generous the Headmistress will be with her extra credit.

The Headmistress has elected to keep her office on the second floor of the castle. If you wish to speak to her about your Herbology grade, or for any other reason, you should report first to her Stone Gargoyles and let her know you are waiting. If your matter seems worthy of her time and conversation, she will invite you up to her office. If not, you will likely end up speaking to her in her waiting area.
Of course, you may also run into her around the castle or grounds.
OOC: I realize this can be confusing, and has never been made very clear to folks, so I'm going to put it here, because why not? Basically, these are Bunz's three office threads:
- The Stone Gargoyles - Post here to let Bunz know you want in to her office.
- The Office - It is what it is.
- The Seating Area - This is a free RP area. I don't always check this because it's just like some couches on the second floor. Anyone can post here without actually needing to talk to Bunz. If you mistakenly post here and DO want to talk to her, I'll probably move your post over to the Gargoyles.
Cool beans? I left a redirect to her exact office IN this forum, so you can easily switch between the Herbology forum and the Headmistress' Office forum. That said, come play with me! I love visitors more than Bunz does!!
