The Ancient Runes classroom was transformed. There were no chairs or tables or the usual nametags for students, but a couple of big boxes with unfamiliar and unusual clothes inside them were laid down by the professor's big desk. The walls of the classroom were the unusual color of bright white. The blackboard was still there, though, with the date of today and a title of 'Dramatic Arts of the Runic Era'.

Professor Botros was standing near the entrance of the classroom as his habit, waiting to greet students who walked in.

Angel was laughing at this group she had no idea her best friend was such an amazing actress!! She was going to ask her best friend if that was her aim because after this Angel was sure that this was going to be a great career for her friend if she went for it.

Angel decided straight after this lesson, she was going to speak to Leah and advice her... she decided that it would be the best cause of action and even the rest of this group was funny... Angel continued to listen to them all and smiled... this play was amazing and she couldn't wait to see what her and her group were going to do when it was their turn but for now things were awesome and she could watch these for the days.

As Lux watched the first act of the little play they were performing, she was so amused and proud of her classmates. Look at them go!! They were all amazing actors and this lesson was so much fun. She loved it already and couldn't wait for it to be her group's turn. She was so happy to work with Adi and AJ and even though she didn't really know Kyroh she thought he seemed like a pretty cool guy.

Everyone performing got a huge THUMBS UP, and it was hard not to laugh at everything and applaud. Ethan and Leah were doing amazing as Thor and Freyja and the boy playing Loki was doing amazing too. Lux loved Loki as a character, but that was based off of the Thor and Avengers movies. She just really liked him for some reason. He was awesome.

Ilia was eager to find out what would happen for their group, but Henric was right ,of course, so she would patiently wait for the other groups and acts. This was actually really amusing so far. The young man cast as Thor was very animated and interacting with everyone , even those he was not acting with. She couldn't help but giggle and cheer a little when he addressed the crowd. Wasn't he in her house? She would have to see later, he was very entertaining.

Loki was doing fairly well too, the three of them played well off of each other truly. The only thing she didn't like much about the performance , was that every time she heard 'Freyja' she instinctually stood at attention in direction of whoever said it. Having her first name called across the room so much was a little distracting. She wasn't used to hearing her name and not being the person that was being addressed. Was this something a lot of people had a problem with? .....She also wasn't sure how much she liked Leah , being called Freya.......

She brushed it off and was enjoying the performance though, eager to see it played out, and what would await her.

Kace heard Bostros put him into a group with Sophie, Janelle and Dot the Slytherin girl. He nodded to all of them and it was a shame Benny couldn't be in his group but ah well he would work with them. Now onto the play starting. So Ethan, Leah and the gryffindor dude. He was new Kace didn't know his name yet but as they started, he was starting to understand this play more and more. SNORT! Ethan was great and he was trying not to laugh so much. He was doing great though. He was never gonna let him live this down. He tried to suppress his chuckles but he was understanding the story plotline. So Thor lost his hammer when he woke up in the morning and Loki was gonna help him try and find it. The big puff got that down.

Now onto Leah who was acting really great. I guess all inner hufflepuffs have some acting skills in their blood. Her character lost her husband and he was on a long journey. OH! Wait she was Freyja who was the god. Now this was making sense. He wanted to clap but he didn't want to throw them off. He smiled widely continuing to watch. This was going great so far!

Dot was in one of the almost very last groups to present, which meant that she didn't need to worry about her performance just yet. And she didn't have to think about her costume just yet. And she could sit in the middle of the class and carefully plait her hair into a flaming coronet.

She was 'the extra in the battle scene' so Dot supposed she needed to be extra ferocious if she was going to get full credit. The acting wasn't too hard, it seemed, since chewing the scenery was the order of the day. Dot whistled gamely at the actors in approval. HUZZAH.

Right then, Toby now knew who he was in a group with. No idea of their names (had he known them before and perhaps forgotten? it was a mystery), but he knew their faces and that was important. He also knew he was in group two, which was next up, and that was all Botros had asked of them. The Hufflepuff nodded at Botros' directions, then cleared the way, moving off to the side of the room (and gravitating towards a window) so that the first group could do their thaaang.

Oh. Oh Merlin. OH MAN.

Straight away, as soon as Ethan Mordaunt started up with his rendition of Thor, Toby felt thoroughly entertained. From the snore-mewing to the SPOT ON yelling, it was hard not to snort in laughter. He figured it was meant to be funny, but DIDN'T WANT TO SEEM RUDE in case it wasn't. But he couldn't help it, and when Ethan!Thor addressed the audience and their laughter, he ended up cracking up himself. Oh man. And of course, Jackson, Toby's Charms buddy, as Loki was just as entertaining. He brought a certain something to the role... Toby was particularly amused by hearing Loki telling Thor to essentially chill out. Also, Leah? As Freyja? PERFECT stage crying. Toby was convinced, his imagination was taking this and running with it, for real. Awesome dress, too, though the Loki robes were his favourite. So swishy.

The Hufflepuff watched the story unfold, fully forgetting that he was in a classroom and, indeed, going to need to live up to the high levels of expectation set in scene one. He knew the story well enough, but was still gripped with curiosity of whAt wOuLD hApPEN nEXt. Toby grinned, and watched the performance avidly.

Marigold was EXCITED. She was in a group with Zander and some other cool looking girl, and they were LAST. So she got to relax a bit first.

ZOMG. Ethan was HILARIOUS and one of her favorite people in the entire planet. She covered her mouth as she giggled, her entire body shaking. His lines had PASSION, yo.

DUDE. LEAH WAS SO GOOD. Marigold applauded loudly at that. Was she allowed to make noise? She didn't know. Oops.

Botros shot down her idea to be the hammer, but Sophie DID get to be in a group with Kace and Janelle, two people she got along with well, and to make matters even BETTER, she heard the professor tell DOT she could join their group, TOO. AND THEY WERE GOING TO GET TO DO A FIGHT SCENE. YEEEEEEEEES.

She hoped SHE got to be someone way cool when the time came for their group to act, and she directed a big ol' THUMBS UP to her groupmates in approval of being with them. She got lucky with her arrangement for sure. A goooood group of friends.

Botros was a REALLY GOOD NARRATOR, they soon learned, and Sophie grinned stupidly at the professor as he gave the intro to the scene, thinking he'd be a fun one to have tell a bedtime story, and was jealous of the Hufflepuffs. They could have a LOT of fun in their common room with that kind of narrating talent. And ETHAN was way funny, too, and Soph may have laughed every single time he said something. Every time. So when he directed a playful jab at the audience and WINKED at them, Soph cackled some more and winked back at him. Hilarious, he was, and beautifully dramatic. Maybe not WADA-worthy, but far more entertaining than that. She'd choose Ethan's dramatics any day.

Quiet, sweet Leah was good in her role, too, and any time the Hufflepuff looked out toward her, Soph gave her an encouraging smile to let her know she thought she was doing a good job. And Sophie didn't know the Gryffindor boy playing Loki, but he got approving looks, too. His dramatics perfectly played off Ethan's, and as a whole, their group was getting them all off to a rock solid start.

And... were they done, then? Leah looked like she thought the scene had come to a close, and Zander and Marigold were clapping, so Sophie clapped, TOO.

Fun, fuuuuun.

Most if not all, enjoyed their performance and it was enough for the teen to beam proudly. He’s not cut out to be an actor, but he can definitely put up a show. And to his mates who will never let him hear the end of being that kind of Thor, well, he was sure about not being bothered at all.

And just like any good show, it too has to end.

Thor!Ethan gave Freyja!Leah a majestic, GODLY smile by showing off all of his blinding pearly whites. She was finally lending them her Falcon-guise, and honestly, it didn’t take much convincing from his end for her to say yes. Ah yes…the power of being THOR. Or…well, maybe the power of his muscles? That must’ve worked too.

“You have my deepest gratitude, Freyja…” Thor!Ethan’s voice boomed, copying the Scandinavian accent of his former teachers in Durmstrang. “But…what’s a ‘Yay’? Is it…something you say when you’re happy?” Thor!Ethan examined the object that Freyja handed to him, and unexpectedly, he let out a low, long, “YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY...” Unsure, yes, but the god was nonetheless happy.

With the falcon-guise in his hand, Thor!Ethan tossed it to Loki, and covered his face with it. “Do not waste time, Loki. Investigate Jotunheim. I and the other gods,” he said gesturing to the general audience, “…shall wait for your return.” A pause was made as he EYED his classmates. “And Loki? Make it quick too. These gods before me have lost their marbles.” He added. Thor!Ethan stepped closer towards the audience and placed his hands on his hips. He looked like a stern father scolding his rude children. “Mjolner is MISSING. Why don’t you all make yourself useful and help me look for it here in Asgard? Hm? HMMM???!” Hehehehehe. Again, just acting guys. With one last comical twitching of his red beard, Thor!Ethan majestically turned away from the gods, and walked away from the stage.

They were…done now, yeah? YEAH. Woot!

Botros sat down on his chair behind the desk as soon as he finished narrating, he usually didn't like sitting down when his students were working but this was more entertaining and relaxing sort of class so he allowed himself some relaxation. No sooner than he sat down did he start chuckling at Mordaunt's performance of Thor. The chuckling evolved to laughing, and because he was a big man with loud laughter, he tried to hide it with his big hand but his eyes were squinting and his wrinkly face was flushed from trying to control it. Aaaaaall through the performance, even Abbott's improvisation of Freyja asking for her husband, and Hwang's 'chill' attitude. Oh dear Odin, if Loki DID really speak this way.

Ohhhh dear.

Botros rubbed his eyes just as Ethan was wrapping up the scene and he stood clapping loudly and very hard. "Very good, well done! Bravo bravo!" Clapclapclapclap. "That is a tough act to follow." He laughed once again. "Great job everyone, great job." He was very VERY pleased with all three of them. Great team work.

Anyway. Whew! So much laughing. Moving on.

"Next scene is performed by Ms. Burton, Ms. Fields, and Mr. Fuller-Thompson." He looked back at the blackboard to confirm. "The second scene is of Loki flying with Freyja's falcon cloak, which is made of real falcon feathers and when worn can turn to a real falcon that flies, to Jotunheim to meet Thrym the giant that stole the hammer there. Burton will be Loki, there is an identical costume for you here in the bag." He indicated the box with all the clothes inside. "Ms. Fields will play the falcon." Botros knelt down to fish out her costume. "Here you go, dear." He was very pleased with himself regarding the costumes. "And for Tobias, who will play Thrym the giant, is... this!" Okay? OKay. "Ms. Fields, will you please change the scenery on the walls by putting your hand on it and saying Scene Two?" Then Jotunheim scenes would be illustrated around the classroom giving the 'stage' a real-feel. "The scene ends when Loki returns to Asgard."

Zhenya clapped at the end of the first scene, impressed by the performances of her fellow classmates. But it was her turn next, and Zhenya was a nervous one. She didn't fancy acting in front of everyone, but she wanted to try and have fun with it. So, she stood up, and smiled as Professor Bortros said she was going to continue with Loki. Oooohkay! She wasn't sure she could do a performance quite as good as Jackson's, but she would give it a go. Fishing for Loki's costume, she put it on and tried to get herself into character. So Rusty was playing the falcon that She, Loki, would be flying from Asgard to Jotunheim, home of the giants, where he/she would encounter Thrym, Tobias, and unable to retrieve Thor's hammer, he returns to Asgard. Okay, she locked it into the front of her mind, and took stage, continuing from the end of scene 1. Thor had thrown Freya's falcon cloak to Loki. As Rusty would be playing the falcon, she started the scene by pretending to get the cloak from her face, where Thor had apparently thrown it, and putting it over her costume. It was all pretend, of course.

She pretended Thor was still there, in character, and she pulled herself up proudly. "I shall go to Jotunheim and I shall retrieve your hammer, brother," she said, her Russian accent slapped on nice and thick to improvise the Norse accent. She made to make a dramatic exit from the scene, with the Falcon, and flapped her arms as wings.

Toby had stolen a couple of glances up to Botros whenever his attention had started to wander, and was glad to see that HE was laughing too. 1. Because laughter was something everyone should experience at every possible second, and 2. because if HE was laughing that meant it was okay for TOBY to laugh. Yah.

All too soon, the first scene was over, and Toby applauded along with everyone else. And that meant GROUP TWO'S TURN. Which Toby had actually already forgotten being part of until his name was mentioned. OH. THAT HIM.

He practically leapt forwards into the ~acting area~ while Botros explained the next scene, and revealed that he, Toby, would be playing... the giant. Which... was... pretty hilarious actually, given that Toby was 5'3" and by no means an impressive figure. Which would just add to the comedy. He went ahead and pulled on the costume, immediately swamped by the too-big clothes, grinning all the while.

So, the first year was going to change the scenery, and in the meantime, TOBY!THRYM THE GIANT was getting into character. He found himself a space and sat there, as though he was sitting on the hill before Loki showed up. One thing was accurate, though; Thrym was making dog collars and hanging out with horses, and that was EXACTLY the kind of thing Toby would do. He sat there, on his 'hill', exaggeratedly reaching out and petting the manes of his imaginary horses. Yaaaaas.

He glanced up to look at the girls in his group, Loki and the falcon, waited until they were READY and FLYING OVER, and then stood.

"LOKIIIIIIIIIIIIII," Tobias boomed at the other seventh year in his best giant rumbles as he lumbered (or tried, he was far too bouncy to lumber) to his feet. This would all perhaps be much more impressive if he had a deeper voice, too. "WHAT brings you to this GREAT LAND, JOTUNHEIM?"

Toby stood there, trying to look as big and impressive and giant as possible. Feet apart, hands on hips, armoured chest PUFFED OUT... and weird skull hat thing on all wonky. Ah yes. Such giant, so scare, wow.

IUFDJKHGJX SHE GOT TO BE A BIRD!!! Rusty LOVED birds, and she even had a mask almost exactly like this one, except hers was made with found owl feathers so it wouldn't be right for a falcon, BUT SHE DIDN'T MIND. She quickly put on the costume, then nodded at Professor Botros and went to the wall, resting her hand against it. "Scene two!" she said, and the scenery changed around them... "Wow..." This was so COOL.

Okay, okay, she was up!

"CA-CAW CA-CAW!!" She waited until Zhenya had put 'on' the cloak, then flapped her way around the room, imitating a falcon as best she could, having never seen one. She ZOOOOOOOMED around, close to the student on-lookers, flapping her wings so they all got the draft from the feathers, and then finally pretended she could see Jotunheim "CAAAWWWW!!!"

Rusty, having finally seen Jotenheim and Thrym, circled Toby once more then 'came in to land', stopping right in front of him... now would be the time for Zhenya to 'take off' the cloak so she could transform back into Loki, right?

Zhenya was giggling when Loki/Falcon were flying through the sky/classroom. They came to land near the GIANT, and Zhenya tried to keep a straight face as Toby imitated the giant, Thrym. He was going a GREAT job at it, too! "Thrym," she said, trying to deepen her voice as much as possible, but trying to sound confident. She carefully and exaggeratedly acted taking off the Falcon coat, letting it 'fall' to the ground with her arms raised. LOKI BE HERE!

She gave Thrym/Toby a slow, evil smile. "Nice... horses," she said, a quick eyebrow raise. Surely they would be frightening in real life, no? Loki/Zhenya paced a few times, back and forth, eyeing Thrym/Toby at the same time. He was a thief... but how would Loki act this one out?

"I come to the LAND of Jotunheim to claim back what is OURS," Loki/Zhenya bellowed. Would he be angry or trying to butter up the Giant? Loki should be angry, he was a GOD!He didn't have to butter up anything except toast! He stopped, staring at Thrym/Toby, and narrowed his eyes. "You, Giant Thief, have STOLEN Thor's hammer!" He couldn't sleep without it, poor guy. God. "I, LOKI," That's LOKI not Thor, "have come to learn of your hiding place."

The first scene was really well done. There was so much hilariousness but on top of that, it was just so good too. His favourite character and actor so far was definitely Ethan, but he was impressed with everyones efforts. And really, it made him nervous to think he would be up soon enough. Gulp.

After applauding the end of the first scene, Zeke listened as the next was introduced.

Already, early on, he could tell that this one was going to be just as EPIC. HAHAHAHA... that first year Lion, Rusty? WAS HILARIOUS. She made for a great falcon. Hehehehe. And then there was Zhenya, she was also all sorts of amazing - but he already knew that. She did made for a pretty awesome Loki though, kinda, in her own way.

THEY WERE IN JOTENHEEEEIM!!! Rowan flapped her wings slowly when they came to a halt, and then "Loki" removed the "cloak", and she let out one last, forlorn "CAAAW..." and dropped to the ground, slumped like clothes someone had discarded after a long day. Freyja was probably not going to be happy that Loki had just dropped her cloak on the floor in Jotenheim, cause ice giants might step on it and it was a MAGIC cloak so you wouldn't want that, right?

She was committed to the part though, and she lay there on the floor, wings askew, for the remainder of this scene, or until such time as she needed to be picked up and turned into the falcon again...

THEY DID IT, THEY DID IT, THEY DID IT! YAY!

Jackson beamed happily as Professor Botros applauded and laughed when they finished. Glad to know that he enjoyed it too though maybe there's so many improvisation that they'd done like... getting Freyja's husband and anything. But improvisation was necessary in acting, he knew that. "Good job, bro!" He said to Ethan and did a little fist bump. Then he turned to Leah. "You were great too," He smiled at that girl.

And now it's the group two turn. "Fighting!!" He cheered them up as they started the scene. Could he stay with his costume until the class ended? Okay, then Jackson sat next to Leah and watched the other group. Woooot!! Zhenya as Loki? She's not that bad. Maybe a little bit nervous ~~or was quite pressured because he's being a great Loki before.~~ And then Rusty, that little cute Gryffindor girl that he had met at Divination. OHMYGOSH! She's being the falcon and it really suited her! That means... Toby as the giant. Maybe his posture didn't really look like giant since he's a small guy but... Hehehehe.

That did it! The way Ethan engaged with the audience had him bursting out with laughter. They were magnificent! He should give them all an Oscar especially Leah, the crying scene was on point that he couldn't stop grinning throughout their performance. And when their scene finished, he felt a little disappointed that it was over so soon. He wanted them to continue on with the story. Oh well...Henric clapped and cheered for his friends at the end still. Proud that they did it so incredibly well even though they were the first group to go.

The second group was next! He clapped for them too before they started their act. He watched intently, chuckled a little at the scene when the giant came in with his thundering voice who was played by the older student. He sure wore a nice looking viking helmet skull on his head. Henric thought he should get one of those in his room, it would look pretty neat on his wall! And...wait...Did the girl putting on the bird cloak just crowed?! Blimey...that sounded realistic! Bravo for the added effort into her role!

Hady did her best to keep quiet but everyone had been so funny it was getting harder. She laughed softly under her breath and clapped along with everyone else at the end. Really they had done an awesome job.

As the next group began she couldn't help but fidget about a little. It was almost her groups turn and she wasn't sure she was ready for it. All she could really do was hope for the best which was what she'd give. Her best. Glancing at the two group members of hers she smiled lightly before her attention went back to the group that was preforming.

That little one um Rusty right? She was cute and made an adorable falcon. It all was going along nicely and they seemed to be having fun with it.

Rooney was quiet as the scenes progressed, his eyes wandering between the actors and the two other people in his group. The first year had wanted to introduce himself properly to them, but seeing as they already knew one another and the first scene was beginning he had decided to avoid it and just offer them a smile as he took a seat beside them. Staying close, clearly, because he wanted to know if they were going to whisper discuss anything in their scene. Were they planners?

The first scene was magnificent. Rooney laughed almost hard enough that he lost breath and applauded equally as hard when they finished. This school was full of people that had the ability to make him laugh without them knowing him. He knew their names now, and really wanted to scribble things into his notebook about their performances and whatnot but the second scene was already prepping and he was well aware of how offputting it was to see an audience member scribbling away whilst you were acting.

So he watched. Watched and smiled.

Was that girl a real bird?

Kace was interested in the play so far. The first group did a really great job and that deserved a round of applause for them. Now onto the second group and there were new characters. There was a Raven? I mean whoever had that part had the easiest dialogue ever. All they needed to do was cry like a raven. He chuckled at the girl because she was doing a great job imitating the animal. Now onto Toby and Zhenya. Toby seemed to be a god it seems like. Zhenya was Loki which was pretty cool seeing a girl play the dude part. They both seemed to be doing a great job and he was understanding the story plotline so far of this act.

He smiled and kept actively listening. He was like this play aspect even more now. Bostros had a great idea for this lesson. Kudos to his head of house.

Okay. So. Soooo. It was reeeeeeally difficult not to break character with Fields girl CAWing and flapping about. She was really getting into it, and for a split second Toby sort of became part of the audience again, watching the Gryffindor circle him. BUT THEN HE REMEMBERED. And the show must go on.

Toby was no actor, and didn't have much experience with any of it outside of History of Magic, but he sure could be dramatic. He threw back his head-... accidentally losing Thrym's helmet in the process as it flew off, though Toby's Quidditch reflexes meant he could SPIN, catch it, and JAM IT BACK ONTO HIS HEAD. This time with one hand firmly on top of his head, making sure his costume didn't make another big for freedom, Toby THREW BACK HIS HEAD (again) and gave a great, BOOMING LAUGH.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHA! AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!" Toby roared, then straightened again and even did a comedic knee-slap. "GOOD ONE, LOKI!" More laughter, and Toby!Thrym pretended to wipe away a few tears of mirth. "Good luck finding it! I've hidden it, deeeeeep underground." He did his best to smirk, but Toby was just... not a smirker. "And I am NOT giving it back until THOR GIVES ME the BEAUTIFUL FREYJA for a wife!" He nodded once, then folded his arms. "So there."

And with that, Toby turned away from 'Loki', and looked in totally the opposite direction, and made a 'shoo, shoo' gesture.

Make like a tree, and BEGONE, LOKI.

Zhenya really wanted to clap at Rusty's portrayal of the Falcon. It was supurb! And Toby's acting of the giant Thrym was amazing. She actually let out a snort of a laugh when the crown almost toppled from his head, but bit her tongue to regain her LokiComposure. Loki/Zhenya rolled her eyes at the giant. "So... You will not cooperate with me?" She/he asked, pacing again. No apparently not. "FINEEEEE," she said firmly. "But Mark my words THRYM, you have not seen the last of Loki!" Or had he...? The line just sort of slipped out. Zhenya/Loki made the big gesture of picking the Falcon-guise off the floor and wrapping it around her/his body and began to flap some wings, "back to Asgard I shall go," she growled at the giant and leaped into the air to signify her/his flight back to Asgard.

LOLOLOLOL! That was freaking hilarious, man.

And it was over already? Oh MAN. He was enjoying that and all. Still, the boy let out another "WOOOOO! YEAH!" Well done and all. Who knew Ethan could act? And the other two weren't bad either but Grayson didn't know them soooo shrug.

Next? YEAH IT WAS TOBIAS HANDSOME FULLER-THOMPSON.

This time, Grayson let out a small wolf whistle before the group had gotten started. Good looking dude up there and all. And, again, he hardly knew the other two so he didn't really care about them. Observing and judging, though. That was definitely something that was gonna happen.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!

Toby as a giant was a hilarious image considering how small he was. And the firstie being a bird of some sort? Lolol, the Slytherin was dead amused by this. A wide smile lingered on his face as he sat back and watched the scene unfold.

You know, this was actually quite interesting. Just saying, Botros, just saying.

Team number one was soon done and Botros wrapped up Scene 1 and the amusing portrayals of Thor, Loki and Freyja. The Gryffindor politely clapped for the performance of his classmates. So far the nerves hadn't gotten to Benny but he was still trying focus on watching and not dwelling on the fact it would eventually been HIM up there in front of the class with his group. Not to mention he wasn't even aware of WHO he would be asked to play if he was in the mind to try and prepare himself for the inevitable portrayal.

Again the roles and costumes were handed out and the scenery was changed and the sixth year was there watching and waiting to see what happened. The trio got well into their characters and scene as the others, the faux falcon portrayal by the young girl catching his attention. Maybe it would be best if he would up playing a creature as well. Only time would tell.
