This robe really was comfortable. Jason had given it to her to celebrate her new job as the Arithmancy professor. Deepest blue and embroidered with golden stars, it had sparked the idea for this shindig in the first place.

Speaking of which...

"As far as I can tell. Plenty of snacks, comfy sleeping bags, and a roaring fire sounds like just the ticket to me." And the voice of the eagle knocker could be heard outside now. "Hopefully they don't take too long with it!"

Leo looked over at Tiara as he clapped his hands together and beamed broadly. "This will be a marvellous party. I can already feel it in the air." Never mind what had transpired at the staff table with Cassie among others during the feast.

Right now and for the remainder of the evening Leo was going to devote his full attention and love to his eagle students. Hearing the voice of the bronze knocker speaking outside he blinked at Tiara. "They're coming now!" Pushing his hands into his pyjama pockets he waited for them all to start coming into the common room.

Eden was stuffed more than a Christmas Turkey. MERLIN. Her pants even felt a bit tighter, too. Because...well...yeah. Food. Food was so good at the feasts. She could die right now and be a HAPPY RAVENCLAW.

However, instead of passing out, they were having a slumber party. Eden was....mixed. MIXED, because on the OOONNEEEE hand she wanted to snooze her life away--but on the OTHER hand she liked these gatherings QUITE a bit. Changing into her PJs, she slid back down to the common room and smiled at Professors Tanner and Kitridge and waved. "Haaaalllo--" she said brightly, eyeing the......S'MORES INGREDIENTS?!? Oh Eden was going to ABSOLUTELY DEVOUR THOSE OKAY?

Had she said she was stuffed? Pffft. Right.

Stuffed?

WHO WAS STUFFED? NOT EDEN!

Once she got past the door (very interesting and clever, she thought), Evie made her way into her new common room. It was very beautifully and classy, she observed and liked the way it was decorated. What she noticed next was... sleeping bags? And she sincerely hoped that those weren't the permanent sleeping arrangements.

Oh, no, she saw entrances to the dorms in the distance. This was a party. There was more food, too. Since she didn't know anyone, Evie just wandered in and smiled at the few people who were there, hoping a couple familiar faces from the feast would come in soon.

Thornton was determined that this start of term party would be a far, far more positive experience than his first. And so he had raced up to his dorm, changed into his pajamas, robe and slippers, and hurried back down to the common room.

Standing near the base of the stairs, he looked around. Not too many people where here yet... should he go introduce himself to new students? Say hi to people he had met last term? He wasn't quite sure...

so maybe he would wait until someone came up to him?

THE PARTY HAD ARRIVED.

Sophie had darted away from the feast right away to go see Culloden, and when she was done she was happy to make her way on up to the common room... to find that somehow, she STILL managed to beat loads of Ravenclaws up there. Merlin, had CB and Gabe taken all the newbies on a tour around the school first? Wasn't a bad idea, really, but it was a bit alarming to find only the Ravenclaw heads, Eden who wouldn't wink at her, lil cutiepie Thornton, and new roomie Evie there.

Oh well. MORE FOOD AND FUN FOR THEM.

"Hi Eden, Evie, Thornton." The professors got a VERY overplayed, sickly sweet smile - a bit out of spite, and she greeted them perhaps too nicely, "Good evening Mr. Kitridge, Professor Tanner. I like what you've done with the place."

That was all they got out of her this time, and she turned away from them to survey the entirety of the room before they could catch sight of her special badge. Heh.

"Looks like we're not gonna get our first night in the dorm together," Soph remarked as she approached Evie and stood beside her with her arms folded, still surveying the room before them. "CB should be here soon, though, and I'll introduce ya." They'd be okay, wouldn't they?

Now that she was properly comfortable in her pajama attire, Coral-Bay made her way back downstairs, her arms tightly wrapped around herself and her hair tucked behind both ears as she appeared. She was still a little on edge from the happenings of earlier, but guiding the first years upstairs had sort of been the cutest thing ever and had temporarily distracted her mind from racing.

The brunette slipped into place beside the professors in the room, arms loosening a little but not completely dropping to her sides or anywhere normal and greeted them both with a shyly delivered "hello professor, how are you?"

Her gaze strayed from the professors and fell upon Eden, Thornton and a girl who she didn't recognize... Finally allowing her arms to drop, she briefly debated going to retrieve her faces notebook to make note of this new face and get her name and everything. But..... she didn't want to be rude and disappear again. That wouldn't be very prefect-like. A grin and a wave made it's way toward Eden and Thornton.

........ GRIN.

Was that Sophie Brown? With the unidentified girl? How'd she manage to slip by unnoticed? "Soph!" This girl wasted no time in crossing the distance to her bestie, sliding into her, hip bumping and looping arms with her. Her head tilted ever so slightly, hair untucking itself from behind her ear.

A chipper "hi!" was directed at the new face. Who are you?

Oh, there was a familiar and friendly face. Evie smiled when Sophie came over to stand by her. "Hi again," she responded. She was quite relieved by it, too, because she didn't want to stand by herself.

"I don't think so," Evie agreed, taking a look at the sleeping bags. She had been looking forward to seeing the dorm and sleeping in a brand new four-poster bed, but she was sure the sleepover would be fun, too. Especially since she got to meet everyone in the house and get to know them before they all ran off to their own dorms the next day.

Her thoughts were interrupted when another girl came over. Evie saw the badge and recognized her from the drama at the table during the feast. "Hi," she responded with a smile. "You must be CB," which was still a weird name, she thought. "I'm Evie. I guess I'm joining you and Sophie in the fifth year dorm." Tomorrow.

Sophie nodded, following Evie's gaze to the sleeping bags. "This'll be cool, too, though, m'sure," she offered, though she actually thought the three of them would have had more fun on their own the first night. Ah, well, it didn't matter - they had a whole term to band together and make their dormitory feel like home.

And there was CB - oh, she'd been upstairs. Well, Merlin, maybe everyone HAD beat her, and they were all just upstairs changing into their sleepwear. She probably needed to get on that at some point, but Evie hadn't done that yet either, so... Soph would just wait for their new dormmate and go with her, yeah? GOOD FRIEND TIME.

Of course, Sophie's face lit up at the sight of her best friend, as it always did, and she opened her arms to return the hug. "Hi bestie." A big encouraging bear hug was happening, as she hadn't gotten to talk to her properly since the train, and she opened her mouth to introduce the two girls to each other, but Evie was already on it, and Soph tightened her hug with CB when Evie broke the news to her that they had a new dormmate. Squeeeeeeeeze.

"Evie's super cool. She likes blanket forts. We're gonna have fun." They didn't need to be sad, now, see?

Abby had just changed into her pajamas up in the dorm and made her way back down to the common room for the party but she was glad to be back at hogwarts she hoped that she would make some more friends in her own house

Janelle had followed her Prefect up to the Common Room and had been in awe at all she had seen along the way. How she would ever find her way around the huge castle was beyond her. The Common Room was awesome and they were going to celebrate with a pajama party. Now Janelle had been sleepy for ages, but it would be worth missing a little sleep to enjoy the party. Once she went to the dorm room, she quickly changed into her pajamas and returned downstairs.

Not too many of her housemates had arrived yet, but Janelle did see a few familiar faces. "Hi Sophie, hi Eden, she said while waving at both girls. She was so excited, she probably wouldn't have been able to sleep anyway. Deciding to explore the Common Room, Janelle began to wander around. The first thing that caught her eye was the snacks. Her stomach was finally full, but one always had room for s'mores. Janelle had officially gotten a second wind.

They were having another one of these welcome party things, and this one looked like it was going to be a slumber party. Penelope was really not interested in the party right now. All she wanted to do was go up to her dorm and sleep. It had been a long day, and she didn't feel like staying down here for the party. She headed up to her dorm to change into her pajamas, but she had no intention of coming back down to the common room now. Maybe she would come back to the common room later to see what was going on at the party if she didn't go to bed in her dorm. Until then, she just wanted to be alone in her dorm for a while.

A slumber party?!

This excited Kate. She loved slumber parties, especially when they were slumber parties where teenagers got to come, too. She'd never been to a party with teenagers before. Suddenly, she felt a little childish in her bubblegum pink pajamas with an 'I love cupcakes!' slogan etched across the pocket area. Oh, well. At least it didn't say 'I love baby dolls' or something like that. So she was good to go. She'd even remembered her furry, white slippers to go along with her pretty, new pajamas.

Stepping into the slumber party, Kate first greeted all the people standing around. "Hi," she said with a smile. "I'm Kate Addison." Skip the shyness. This little firstie didn't have a shy bone in her body. Then she allowed herself a loooong glance around the room. She hadn't really gotten a good look at it before, but now, she was taking it all in. It was WONDERFUL, or marvy, as Corrigan would say. Oh my goodness! Was that s'more making stuff she saw over there?! BEST. SLUMBER PARTY. EVER. "This place looks amazing!" she added.

Eden turned to peek at who had just walked in--SOMEONE NEEEWWW! [Evie]. Eden smiled shyly at her and waved. "Hi there--" she approached and nodded. "I'm Eden--" she was hoping to make all the new people feel as welcomed as she had felt last year. Because yes...she remembered feeling SO scared!

And then little THORNY wandered down, and Eden waved at him, too. "Nice 'jama's, mate--" she winked and eyed the table full of....s'mores stuff. She was eyeing them like...she hadn't eaten in a year. Still denying that she ever even THOUGHT she was full. OH

OH OH OH OH OH

ohhhhOOOHHH.

The two best friends arrived. CB and Sophie. Gabe would be here soon, yeah? She smiled at CB and waved, and then...did the same to Sophie. Yeah. She was supposed to be watching her, right? She had orders. So yeah. She was DOING that. So far Sophie Brown hadn't done anything of INTEREST. And she didn't think she had to go rub elbows with her--so she wouldn't--hmph--distrust all around. Squinting around, she saw Abby--her partner from last term--and wasn't she ALSO Aj's sister?! YEAH! She thought so. "Hey, Abby--" she said to the girl, giving her a nod.

Janelle! Eden made her way over to speak to the firstie--"Hey!" she said excitedly. "So--was the food up to par? Did you die of starvation?" she laughed and nudged her playfully. She was certainly feeling a lot less shy than last year at this time. Well. Thank Merlin.

She turned to start making a s'more----yes. Best part of the day...right HERE. She wondered where Clara was..it was making her worried..was she all right? Had she fainted and now FELL ILL or something? She certainly hoped not. Then she'd be....so.....sad/: Nodding at Penelope, she smiled and waved, too.

Yeah. Friendly.

aaaanndd ANOTHER NEW ONE! She looked like a firstie, too! Eden smiled over at her, waved, and nodded. "Hi...Kate Addison!" she said with a chuckle in reply. Girl had spunk. She was adorable. EEEEEEK. "I'm Eden--sixth year--" wow, that felt WEIRD. Sixth. SIXTH!

SHE WAS AN OLD WOMAN.

As Janelle continued her self guided tour of the Common Room, she spotted a girl who seemed to be about her age. Another firstie perhaps? She also seemed to have an interest in s'mores. Sounded like friend material to Janelle. Deciding to take the plunge, Janelle walked over to the girl md introduced herself. "Hi, my name is Janelle and I'm a first year. Are you a firstie too?" She hoped so because then she would finally be meeting one of her roommates.

Looking over at the s'mores, Janelle could practically taste the chocolate and a melty marshmallow. "I can't wait until we get to try those", she said to her housemate. She had a weakness for sweets and s'mores were high on her list. This party was going to be fun, fun, fun.



Seeing Eden come toward her, Janelle gave her a big smile. "Oh the food was great. I managed not to pass out before I ate......but I did save a little room for s'mores. I loooove them." See, she was already enjoying the party and she had a chance to meet more people. Everyone was so nice, so far anyway.

Abby smiled at Eden who was her partner last term and said "Hey Eden" Abby hoped that she would get to see Tyler at some point soon as she missed him already

After the feast he'd had, the only thing Gabriel Banner wanted to do was curl into a ball and sleep....Unfortunately for him, however, some type of get together had been arranged to welcome/welcome back Ravenclaw house. Mr. Kitridge had mentioned a meeting...but this...? Judging by the sleeping bags, pillows, and snacks.....mainly the sleeping bags and pillows; they'd be sleeping down here tonight. Not a random meeting, then. Premeditated.

See, Gabe only wanted to go to bed...which was off the table now. Work, helping to...do what, he didn't know. He'd clearly demonstrated how well he could keep people in line just a few hours before. Sarcasm.

Accepting that there was no way to get around it, Gabriel proceeded upstairs to change; deciding to grab a book to occupy himself with. Advanced Potions, since he and the small Ravenclaw boy, Dima, had been discussing organic potions. It'd keep his mind busy, anyway....for the meantime.

Back down in the common room, he decided to keep to himself....for now. Maybe some of the reading could loosen him up? Maybe.

Archie yawned widely as he made his way into the common room, worn out by the excitement of the train and stuffing his face at two different tables at the feast. He had just about enough energy to make it up into the dorms and snuggle up in bed.

Except...bed seemed to have been brought to him, going by the people in pajamas and the sleeping bags littering the floor. And was that a HUGE pile of marshmallows for roasting? Archie's eyes lit up. Maybe he could stay awake a liiiiittle bit longer.

And look who was making the first s'more! "EDEN!" he practically yelled, as he dodged the sleeping bags over to her. They didn't look like they contained people, but he'd rather not risk it. "Wanna roast marshmallows together?"

After everything that had happened at the feast, a party - a slumber party, no less - was the last thing she wanted to be part of. It would be full of chit-chat and goodness knows what else. She had to go, though ..... for Eden, and the handful of other friends she had, if not for herself. Kyroh, for one, she wouldn't mind seeing as she hadn't been able to speak to him during or after the feast. Basically, she had no choice; Eden wouldn't want to take her sights off Clara now. She had definitely given her best friend a scare when she'd passed out.

Hopefully, that was ... sort of in the past now?

As soon as she'd gotten into her pajamas, she fixed an almost smile on her face and made her way into the common room, which was as roomy and breezy as always. She tried to avoid making eye contact with too many people as they'd likely seen her fainting earlier, but she did make sure to greet Professor Tanner and Professor Kitridge with 'hello's.

After those pleasantries were taken care of, she made her way over to Eden. She tapped her on the shoulder to make herself known and immediately flopped down on top of a sleeping bag near her. Eden was surrounded by so many people that Clara didn't want to get too involved, just in case her anxiety worsened. For now she just gazed around, taking in everyone's PJ choices, the food area, Gabe, and the masses of sleeping bags on the floor. Clara had the feeling that this was going to be a long night.

Regretting the sleeping cap on his head that was really starting to itch Leo had just taken it off and was shoving it down into a pyjama pocket when the first student came down from the dorms. Beaming he said "Hello Eden, feel free to help yourself to the s’mores."



Sophie Brown entered next in her PJ's greeting him with a sweet smile. "Good evening Sophie," Leo said as he gave the room a once over. "I'm glad you like it. We've worked hard to make it festive for the night." And sleep over.



Then some minutes after Sophie, Leo was greeted by one of his new prefects. "Hello Coral-Bay, I’m lovely thank you. How are you?" he queried as the girl passed no doubt on her way to seek out some students to mingle with.



"Hello Clara, are you feeling better now?" Considering that Leo had shown up at the claw table when the senior girl had already fainted he wondered what had triggered it. It was possible that all the spells flying around and the tension had brought it on but he didn’t know.

Turning to glance at Tiara by his side Leo said "Let's wait a few more minutes before we start?" in a hushed toned he added. "I'll give the welcoming speech and then you can take over to start the activity." There was no use to wait too long since it had been a very long day for everyone.

Janelle was adorable. Oh my. Eden smiled and nodded, eyeing the....s'mores. Merlin. She loved s'mores....so...SO...SOOOOOO MUCH. Did Tanner and KITRIDGE kNOW THIS? She doubted it, but it was TRUTH.

"Yeah. I...yeah. I saved room, too." She patted her belly and grinned. "And sleeping tonight...will be sooooo satisfying after aaalllll that food, you know?" Well at least she hoped. Were they supposed to sleep down here? She HAD seen the sleeping bags but...but...how was she expected to SLEEP AROUND ALL THESE PEOPLE? She and Clara usually stayed up talking after a feast, too....about...

People.

And how were they supposed to DO that now? Ugh. She hoped her friend arrived SOON. She did smile at Abby, though. "How's it going?" she asked softly, her eyes still wandering to the s'mores. Why hadn't she gotten one yet?

.....and...someone was saying her name loudly--Oh--"ARCHIEEEE!" she yelped, excitedly, running over to the little bugger and hugging him. Had he gotten taller? He had gotten taller. He really had. EDEN WANTED TO PINCH HIS CHEEKS. "YES. Yes, I do--duh--" she smiled and felt all HAPPY WIGGLY right now because she just...she adored Archie's FACE. "Yes--marshmallow--" she had been about to make s'mores buuuut she DID need to roast one first, right?

Clara had arrived, too. Didn't go unnoticed by Eden. The brunette smiled at her best friend and stayed close, just to let her know she was there if she needed her. She knew this wasn't Clara's scene at all. She gave her a thumbs up and blew her a kiss. Her Claraaa. <3

Professor Kitridge was always a nice guy. Eden could appreciate that. He and Tanner BOTH were really calm and level-headed. Nooothing like Murdoch or Bellaire. Eesssh. Poor snakes. Poor..Rorie...she didn't want to think about Rorie right now, though. She just smiled at her head of house and then glanced back at Archie. ONWARD. TO ROAST MARSHMALLOWS.

And here were the first students! Including a first year, unless she was much mistaken. Tiara decided to get to the introductions. "Hello, dear. I'm Professor Tanner, I teach Arithmancy. Myself and Mister Kitridge are your house sponsors. I'm pleased to meet you," she said with a warm smile.


Oh the memories. As the boy was walking by, she tapped him on the shoulder. Then, discreetly, she whispered, "Do try to keep your shirt on this year, will you?" Her eyelid closed in a wink.


"Ah, Miss Brown! Welcome back, welcome back." The girl looked well enough, so hopefully she'd had a good holiday. "Thank you, but we must give the house elves the credit, as they did most of the work." All Leobald and herself had done was conjure some sleeping bags and a few other small things.


And here was their female prefect, fresh from her first official duty. "Good evening, Miss Aldrich. I'm doing just fine. A bit harried from the feast, but certainly nothing a lively party cannot fix!"


Another new student! Her little flock kept growing, and it made her proud. Tiara leaned down slightly and said, "I like cupcakes, too," with a small wink. "I hope s'mores will do for tonight."


Was that Clara she spotted? Yes, yes it was. "Miss Wilde, I imagine you're a bit tired out from the evening's.. festivities. Please do feel free to retire early if you feel so inclined." No one would blame her for wanting some sleep after the Feast she'd had, after all.


And there she was, back with Leobald. "Sounds like a plan. I think we have almost all of them, anyways." She had to lean in to hear his next sentence. "Roger that, take it away!"

Ohh, this girl was full of energy and happiness, and that excited Kate. She smiled and waved back. "Hi, Eden," she said. She started to say, 'Hi, Eden sixth year', since Eden had pretty much mimicked what Kate had said when she told them her name--last name included. At the last second, she decided saying, 'Hi, Eden sixth year' might make more sense to her then it would everybody else, so she skipped that part. "I'm just a first year, but that's probably pretty obvious," she added with a grin. After all, she'd just been sorted in front of the school, plus, if Eden was a sixth year and wasn't new, she'd know that Kate hadn't been around last school year.

Kate took a second to gaze around the common room and look for Nicole. She hadn't seen her since the feast, and really, she saw her before all the commotion took place. She was kind of starting to wonder if Nicole had done what Kate secretly thought to do--get under the house table and crawl back to the train. It had seemed like the safe thing to do when there were fights and spells all around them.

She was drawn from her thoughts by a voice coming from somewhere near her. Kate looked toward the voice and saw a girl who looked about her age. "I thought you were my age," Kate commented. Then she nodded and added, "First year, too. I'm Kate Addison, but you may have heard me say that a minute ago." Kate had come into the slumber party and pretty much introduced herself to everybody at once. "Congratulations on Ravenclaw. So how do you like Hogwarts so far?"

Kate suddenly noticed the woman from the feast making the rounds and saying a little something to everybody. This was the woman who'd pretty much laid down the hammer when chaos had erupted at the house table. Kate thought she was awesome! When she came to Kate, the woman leaned down, causing little Kate to grow wide-eyed and give the woman her full attention. Ohh, her first talk with a professor! "You do?" Kate whispered. Completely AWESOME! She nodded. "I can't wait to have a s'more!"

Tiara chuckled. "Who doesn't?!" she replied. The girl was immediately endearing simply by the look on her face. "There should be plenty of gooey goodness to go around, no need to worry. I'm Professor Tanner, I teach Arithmancy," she said, realizing she hadn't introduced herself. "And who have I just had the pleasure of meeting?"
