The lake a little crowded for your liking? Fancy a nice quiet place to read your favourite book? The beech tree is a perfect shelter from the sunshine as well as the splashing going on from the main area of the lake. This tree holds plenty of leaves and depending on the season, they could either be waving harmlessly over your head or become your very own cushion!

AJ was walking around aimlessly trying to decide on a place for her little toadstool to thrive. She had pretty much saved his life, and she wanted his little spot to be comfy and perfect. The first thought that came to her mind was the edge of the forbidden forest, but that was far too much temptation for her to handle at the moment. One of these days she was going to go in there, she was.
Better to steer clear of that little area then. All of a sudden an idea popped into her head. The lake! There was a pretty wicked tree over there, and if she had to be planted anywhere that's what she would choose. The lion made her way over and put her pot down so she could get down and dirty. So far there was only one other student planting their toadstool where AJ chose, and she made sure to keep a nice distance away from Norah. Apparently toadstools needed their space.
Her gloves were slipped quickly on her hands. Next, she picked up her shovel that she had dragged along with her. The digging itself didn't take that long. As soon as the whole was dug, AJ picked up her toadstool and placed him gently in it. Pat, pat went the dirt back on top. Awww... the little toadstool looked so snug!

Reason: noting the toadstool is away from others. :)

Speaking of Dragons... Adi saw the slightly shorter form of Benny approaching. Show time! Turning away so that his friend wouldn't see his actions, he gulped down the dose- one glass- of the measured out potion. Annnnd just like Culloden had said, the potion was SWEET! Potions like these were awesome. Too bad he couldn't take more. Well he could but why would he want to become arrogant? Heh.
He hoped this would work... Benny was already so reluctant to this brilliant idea. "But why should he be?'' a thought suddenly occurred to the Puffer. "There's a whole load of possibility that he will agree.'' Ohh... the confidence was kicking in!
"Hi, Dragon.'' Adi smiled widely and innocently. Nothing up his sleeve here. Nope. "How's it going? I got something to show you.'' He produced a book purely on dragons from his bundled up self and held it up to Benny so he could see the picture of a Hungarian Horntail on the cover in all of its magnificence. He plopped down on the ground and indicated for Benny to do the same. "I have a feeling you'll LOVE this book.'' Best start this off by focusing on Benny's interest in Dragons for the moment.
Benny didn't catch the drinking of the potion by his friend, but then he had gotten sidetracked from potions class homework with the work from the other subjects as well the potion creating research he had to complete. Geez the coursework really had gotten crazy this term. This year was the first time in a few years that he hadn't missed quidditch or flying at the very least. He didn't really gave the free time to do so.
"Hi Hippogriff," he returned stepping beside Adi. "Alright..." he remarked," Super busy at least." But then his friend would understand as they were caught in the same loop. The only difference was the hippogriff's prefect duties. Benny's eyebrow raised at the mention of something to see however, his eyes lighting up as the book was revealed to him. "Cool.." he said, noticing the Hungarian Horntail on the cover, the creature in question look both majestic and extremely fierce at the same time.
"Well it's about dragons...." So duh. Was his bestie challenging his love of the winged creatures?
Oh, how we drift away from our friends. And the ones back home play remember when
Cilla had decided that this was the perfect spot to plant her talking toadstool. She saw that someone else (AJ) had the same idea so Cilla made sure that the location of her toadstool was about 6ft away from AJ's.
Cilla placed the pot and her bag that had in it a small gardening trowel and her pair of dragon hide gloves down on the ground. She put on her gloves and grabbed her trowel. She dug a hole in the soil and carefully transferred the toadstool from its pot to the hole in the ground. Cilla then used her hands to cover the hole with dirt.

Zander Adair needed a change in scenery. Being cooped up in the castle for so long was doing horrors for his headspace. It wasn't even just the fact that he had spent so long staring at the inside of his eyelids Arithmancy text book... Just being stuck inside ALL the time, it made a boy go INSANE! And Zander was that boy. Merlin, how was he supposed to enjoy his Fifth Year if all he did was sit inside and study?
He needed a break.
And this tree was a proper place to take one. And if a Professor just so happened to walk by, then he'd make sure to explain that he had just been studying only moments earlier. But for now, he had all his books put away and his head right against the trunk of the tree. Only, he was really just waiting for Amur to show up. He had promised her that they could get to House Elf planning and everything... He just could not spend anymore time inside that blasted castle. He needed some fresh air. So meeting out by the tree was just PERFECT, y'know? Plus it gave him a bit of extra time to relax while he waited for her to show up.

Cilla took off her gloves, aimed her wand at them, along with her trowel and said, "Scourgify." Once they were cleaned Cilla packed them away in her bag. She then pointed her wand at the toadstool and softly said, "Aguamenti," which produced just enough water to nourish the plant. Cilla got up from the ground, placing her bag over her shoulder and headed towards the castle.

Super busy... yes. That was so true. Adi wondered how he survived it all sometimes. But then again, he loved everything about Hogwarts even the crazy studying and all that homework so it didn't really get to him though he sometimes wished there could be more hours in the day.
Excellent! Benny was already taken with the book. That was to be expected. So far, all was going according to plan. "Who can believe that this is the most dangerous of all dragons?" Adi asked as he eyed the cover of the book. "You know what I think is the coolest trait of the Horntail?'' He didn't wait for an answer as he proceeded right on. "The fire breathing range. Up to fifty feet! That's so awesome, isn't it?"
"Okay, I have a question. Which is your favourite breed of dragon?'' Benny better have an answer for that since Adi would need to launch into a nice speech about the chosen breed.

Her little toadstool had him a nice little bed with soft dirt packed all around him. AJ thought a dirt bed would be pretty awesome to lay in. She was known for getting dirty and the dirty would actually keep you cool. So, the toadstool would have a nice little life.
She was just about to walk back to the castle when it dawned on her that she never watered the plant. Goodness. What kind of horrible toadstool mother was she? Water... water. There weren't any buckets in the greenhouse... none that she noticed anyways. It looked like she was going to have to do this the old fashioned way.
AJ ran over to the lake and scooped up some water into her cupped hands. By the time she made it back to the toadstool only a few drops came from her outstretched hand. Merlin, this was going to take her all day.
Then a lightbulb went off in her head, and she immediately felt like an idiot. She smacked her head with the palm. "I'm a witch." A third year witch at that. How could she forget about the water spell? It was one spell that she actually had mastered.
"What a silly owner you have," she said as she lowered herself closer to the toad. AJ pulled out her wand. "Aguamenti" Fetching water from a lake... When the toadstool was nice and wet, she ended the spell. "I'll catch ya later." Next time she wouldn't be so dense.
Zander Adair needed a change in scenery. Being cooped up in the castle for so long was doing horrors for his headspace. She was late in getting to their meeting spot, because she had learned that being late as a young woman was just the natural way of things. But not too late, or else the person one was meeting would either imagine something horrible or simply leave. At least, according to her father this was the way things should be and were. It was also one of the things she believed from him, as her mother had proven him right on numerous occassions.
Plus, she had a hard time finding a whole pair of socks. After the target practice in the common room, there were only a spare few pairs left that didn't have massive holes in them. And that were clean. Clean was important.
Plus, she had to procure another item, which she carried close to herself as she hurried down the pathway to the assigned tree. Tree. It really needed a name for being such a prominent meeting place.
Catching sight of her fellow Gryffindor, Amur hurried the last few steps before plopping down beside him. "It's not wise to nap out in the cold." Not dressed like he was anyways. But if he was going to take to napping....Amur reached over and with her thumb and forefinger draped the edge of his cloak over him a bit better.
If he really wanted to take a few z's, she could wait. She had plenty of things to think about after all.

Norah took a moment to scrape the dirt out from under her fingernails, just imagining the look her mum'd be giving her if she were here, before reaching into her robes to pull out her wand. Water time for the ickle toadstool, yeah? She gave him one last little pat with her index finger before casting, "Aguamenti!" She let a trickle of water fall on his little toadstool hat thingy, which probably had a name that she couldn't remember, until he LOOKED pretty happy and she decided it was probably enough. There. All watered and snug in the dirt. "Are ya all happy now?" Norah asked as she stowed her wand back in her pocket. The toadstool squealed back some distorted form of 'happeeeeee,' and the third year's face lit up because HEY, it was talking again? Apparently the silencio thingy didn't last forever, which was a relief because she still felt bad about making him be all quiet just like her mum did when Marcel was napping. Quiet time was BORING time, everybody knew that.
The thirteen year old stood up after giving the toadstool its REAL last pat and picked up the pot to go return to the greenhouses. "Don't have too much fun without me!" The toadstool squeaked, 'meeeee' and Norah giggled and kept standing over it, unable to tear herself away. "Can you say Norah? Norah Norah Norah" She paused to listen, still beaming at it, as the toadstool squealed, 'Rah! Noooooorah!' HEHHE. Did she really have to leave this guy all alone? Her stomach gave a rumble and she looked down at it in surprise. Oh. Lunch time already. JUST KIDDING she could go now, because reasons. "Bye bye!" For realz this time.

Walking and more walking is what this second year was doing. She was clearly looking for a nice spot to plant her Toadstool. It seems she wasn't the only one that thought this place was the right one. Walking a little further she found a nice shaded spot that also had enough sunlight and water from the lake. Perfect.
Kneeling down on the ground she placed the pot with her Toadstool at her feet letting the bag on her shoulder drop to the ground. Luckily she had remembered to get her shovel thing and gloves before hand as well as a dropper of water. Pulling out her wand she used it to cast a 'scourgify' on her gloves and shovel first. Slipping her gloves on she began to dig up a careful hole in the rise soil.
When it was deep enough she carefully removed the Toadstool from the pot and set it into the hole she'd dug up. Holding it still with one hand she used her other to push the dirt back into the hole around it patting it down gently. "There you are, a nice new spot for you to grow." She told her toadstool laughing as it repeated her with 'grow, grow, grow' over and over.

Dylan nodded, understanding what she meant. It was a nice place for a break, that was definitely true. "I gotcha. Makes sense." He said, plucking more grass beside him. "Oh, I was really bored...wanted some fresh air." He answered with a shrug. "So, how have you been?" The fifth year added, turning and smiling at his friend.

Benny accepted the book, absently looking at it as he sat besides Adi on the ground. "I can..." he mused. It was rather ferocious looking in any photos or drawings he had ever seen of the creature. Though he had to admit that he agreed with his bestie. That tidbit of information was one of the cool things about the Horntail. "Mhm...it is," he agreed before being brought up short by the next question aimed his way.
Favorite breed of dragon? Did Adi really just ask that? That was like the Hippogriff picking his favorite candy after chocolate frogs. "Um..." Benny started, his face screwed up a little as he tried to think of his choices. "Well the Welsh Green are nice...and the Chinese Fireball."

He would tackle the Chinese Fireball first.
"Cool choices! Hey, did you know that the Chinese Fireball is called 'LionDragon' too?" he asked casually. This was the reason he wanted to start with the Chinese Fireball. Of course, the Gryffindor already knew the dragon's other name but Adi wanted to bring it up still. "Lion, Dragon. Just like you.'' He reached forward to flip the pages of the book to an image of a Fireball. "Look at those smooth, scarlet scales! And those golden spikes around its face! Isn't it a super cool looking dragon?"

Still sitting on her knees in the grass Hady watched her newly planted Toadstool for a few moments. It appeared to be happy and the sunshine was hitting it rather well which was a very good thing.
All that was left to do was clean up her things and give the toadstool a bit of water. Easy enough really. Pulling her gloves off she cast a quick 'scourgify' on them as well as on her shovel and the pot the toadstool had been in. Placing the items in a clear bag after they had been cleaned she put everything into her backpack.
Water. That was the last part to this. Keeping her wand firmly in her hand she pointed it at the toadstool "Aquamenti," she recited clearly. A tiny jet of water poured from the tip of her wand and onto the toadstool. When she was sure it had enough she called the charm and slipped her wand back into her back. "There you go little plant, it's time for me to go now. Bye." She chirped happily waving at the toadstool as she grabbed her bag up, rose to her feet and headed back into the castle for some lunch.

Each one showing either a full color photo or several paragraphs of descriptive information on the respective dragon pictured on the opposite pages. It really was an enchanting book, well not like the evil one of the previous term, but one that caught the Gryffindor's full attention and kept a strong hold.
"Mhm..." he said, answering to the affirmative on Adi's question. He was well aware of the alternate name for the Fireball as well as most if not all of the well-spread facts about the particular creature. Perhaps that was one of the reasons that particular breed stood out when picking a favorite breed. "Yeah..." Benny said as the Hufflepuff pointed out the connection between him and the Fireball, letting his friend turn the pages until the deep red dragon was revealed in all its glory.
"It really is..." the Gryffindor agreed, his one hand absently reaching to touch the picture.

Merlin knows how long he spent in the library trying to find a book with mainly pictures. He had figured that letting Benny actually look at pictures of the creatures would hopefully make things go smoothly.
And it seemed as though his idea was working. Benny seemed to be all absorbed with the Fireball. "I think the whole mushroom shaped flame is a VERY awesome, distinctive trait,'' Adi went on casually. He gave her a warm smile as he patted the spot next to him and turned to face her when she sat down. "It's a nice day though, isn't it? Not the coldest it's been," Wasn't like it was actually warm or anything. But it was a nicer day than the rest and for this Zander was forever thankful. There was just so much of being stuck inside that a person could take, y'know?
And with that, he pulled himself up a bit, trying to sit down properly now that Amur was here. As Zander wasn't all too sure about what exactly her intentions were for their next step in this House Elf Initiative, he just looked at her expectantly. Sure there were things that Zander had to tell her about, like the fact that he had gotten to see the inside of their living quarters, but still. This was technically Amur's initiative to begin with, so he had to let her run the meeting of course.

Uh huh, it was a cool trait. Who would have thought that there would be dragons that didn't just shoot fire like the rest of them? That there wasn't a standard of behavior and ability like the lore of ages before in reference to the beautiful creatures. But then the lore he had the most experience with was British and European and the Chinese Fireball had been hundreds of thousands of miles away in its own natural habitat. Described in the lore of the foreign lands.
Think about it?
He didn't have to think or imagine it. Benny was reminded of the past events in the joint charms and transfiguration class when he had been with Elliot. Flying way up high and moving with the stone dragon as one, to and fro and through the various hoop obstacles. If he hadn't been surrounded by all the other students and their own rides he certainly would have felt like the king of the sky. "Uh huh... he mused, though the Gryffindor hadn't quite caught the question about him becoming said dragon.
The look on his face at the remembrance was one of peace and contentment...until he sighed at the thought of having to lose his dragon buddy at the end of the day. His head falling in sadness.

Poor Elliot.
Silence.
Silence didn't go well with Adi but this was one time that it didn't bother him. His instinct told him to shut his mouth for once and just leave Benny be. Okaaay, he could try to do that. But how he wished he could perform Legilimency to see what was going on in the bestie's head.
FINALLY! A response!
Uh uh. Uh huh to what? His question about Adi helping to get Benny to a dragon form or about Benny wanting to become the Fireball? Since it was a single uh huh, he was inclined to think it was a response to wanting to take the Fireball's form. Man! It seemed like Benny was too lost in thoughts about the Dragon that he forgot about the ever so helpful proposition from Adi. He wanted to make sure that Benny knew he was the one who was going to make him a dragon. At least they were half way there.
Oh, well. Nothing to do but try that again. "Soooo. What do you say, Benny? I can help you become a Fireball someday. Then you really can be King of the Skies.'' Plus he'd have to take Adi for a ride. Hehe. But they'd get to that when the time came.

Smiling, Lux looked out towards the lake. It was so pretty though she couldn't wait for the weather to get warm again so that she could splash around in the water. People thought it was weird that she didn't swim in the water, but she didn't care and she would keep her promise forever no matter what.
"Fresh air is always nice," she mused as she turned her gaze back to Dylan. Sometimes the castle got way too stuffy and it was necessary to come outside for a bit. Even in the winter when it was cold she enjoyed coming outside - just didn't do it as often or for as long as in the summer. "Oh, I have been good! I spent some of the holidays with Bay. It was amazing seeing him and I also had a lot of fun seeing my family too! How have you been?" She wondered if he and Bleu saw a lot of each other during the holidays. That would be lovely.

Benny was still lost in thought for a few moments before he registered that Adi was saying something more. "Huh...?" he said at first before thinking on what he was hearing coming out of his friend's mouth. Oh...it was a repeat of the offer the Hufflepuff had given him several times before. The one that had prompted his question to Bellaire on whether or not the spell from class would work on humans. The offer to be changed into a dragon.
A Chinese Fireball to be precise this time.
Except there was a difference this time, at least on the Gryffindor's end. For while there was still a touch of reluctance and maybe fear at the prospect of having magic used upon him in that way, he had to admit he wasn't totally against it. It would be cool to be able to fly like that again this time not needing a transfigured stone to do it, but to BE the transfigured stone. Sort of speak.
"Well I suppose...um...it would be alright...that it would be fun."
Blair had wandered around for what felt like hours trying to find the perfect spot to plant her toadstool. What better place than here? It appeared to be a calm environment for it to grow. It looked as though others had the same idea. Blair ensured to choose a spot at least 6ft away from the others.
Deciding on a nice spot she got to her knees and began to remove her equipment from her satchel. She gently placed her toadstool aside and pulled on her gloves. Picking up her trowel she carefully dug a hole in the earth. Blair placed her toadstool in the hole and covered it over with the dirt.

Dylan gave a nod. It was nice, even when it was a bit chilly, like today. He didn't mind it as long as he was wearing something cozy of course.
He smiled. "That's good! I'm glad you enjoyed it." The fifth year said. "Oh, I've been great. Saw Bleu during the holidays as well, that was fun." He smiled.
The Gryffindor lifted a single eyelid open at the sound of a very familiar voice. He wasn't actually sleeping after all, just... Just resting his eyes. Getting some fresh air. You know... The usual?
Oh, not napping then? Or napping and she had been too noisy? He didn't look like he was pulling out of a deep sleep or anything, so she didn't feel too bad. And he was polite as always, so it really wasn't hard to shrug the worry off. "It's a very nice day. But it's still not wise. Your body temperature can drop when you are sleeping." She gave him a motherly look before settling down.
Wiggling about, she finally got comfortable and passed him one of the goodies. "Easier to come by than chocolate frogs." Indeed there were more lemons in the kitchen than anyone seemed to know what to do with. But Amur had figured out how to turn them into useful foods, all thanks to class. With a simple charm, she had turned the inedible into the edible. It was a lemon, but not just any lemon. A lemon with a unlemon like luster to it. She had one of her own and readily bit into it, munching on the sweet taste of the charmed fruit.
"So, I was thinking, we should go see the Headmistress soon." She muttered around her mouthful of fruit. "Can't do much without her permission, as she is kinda the boss lady." And she might say no. What were they going to do if she said no? Amur frowned as she took another bite out of her fruit. What, indeed?
