One thing that was worse than having a red, yellow and green eyebrows was to have a black eyebrow next to it unmatched to the other. He looked at the mirror and pointed his wand at the other non colored eyebrow and tapped on it "capillus colorum" nothing worked at first as he stared at himself in the mirror and he tried again. This time he visualised the colors from his other eyebrows because eventhough it looked ridiculous it was better to have matched colors on both eyebrows. He used the spell again and watched how his eyebrow colored red and then it faded in to yellow and then.....purple..WHAT?!

He started to panic again and rubbed his eyebrows, as if it could make it vanish like that. It didnt work though and the Gryffindor stared at himself in the mirror. His left eye a mixture of red yellow and green and his right one purple.

Question!?
 

As Kace was admiring his elf ears in the mirror, he was liking them a lot actually. He grinned and kept poking them. He never had elf ears before and it was just the new thing now. He heard the Professor ask if they had any questions and Kace really had none. Did he still have his eyes and heads. He chuckled and he kept them intact. He didn't struggle at all.

Waitt....they were keeping their ears and eyebrow colors? Ermm....well that was interesting. He didn't know about that. He couldn't even reverse the spell? Well then just call him Kace the Elf then. He still examined his ears and he had to ask...

"Professor do you think my elf ears are a bit long..?"

Concentrating carefully so that both ears were transfigured and looked even, Ruby finished up, enunciating the spell as carefully as possible.

"Auribus Aquta." tap. Once she was sure everything was in order she found herself looking around again, surprised that people were having trouble. It was transfiguration, what was hard about it exactly? As long as the instructions were given out loud she was fine with it, it was just when she had to try and decipher the board that she had trouble with it herself.

And hearing Bellaire say they had to KEEP their transfigurations, she was GLAD that she'd gone for the cute look as opposed to garish. Wow. Some people were going to have to live with their terrible ears. Good thing it wasn't her.

Wait...what?! They had to keep their eyebrows just like this until the next class? But when was the next class? Kate hoped it was tomorrow, but a quick mental review of her schedule told her it wasn't. She peered into the mirror in front of her and saw that the spell had worked. Now she had bright pink eyebrows that she had to wear until Merlin knew when!

Why hadn't she just stopped when she had a soft pink tint to her eyebrows? Or even when she had just ONE bright pink eyebrow? The professor should have definitely told them this beforehand, and Kate would have changed her eyebrows to a normal shade. Frowning, she leaned in closer and got a long, hard look at her eyebrows.

Yep. Definitely bright pink.

Oh cool.. They got to keep their colored eyebrows until the next class. Given that bit of information, Janelle decided that her other eyebrow should match the first one. So blue it was. At least if they were both blue, she would match her uniform.

Janelle went back into concentration mode. It wasn't hard to imagine her eyebrow being blue. All she had to do was look at herself in the mirror and focus. She stared at her brow and thought hard about the color she was going for.......the color right in front of her.

"Capillus Colorum", Janelle said as she tapped her brown eyebrow with her wand. She breathed a sigh of relief as she now had two matching turquoise eyebrows. Taking a moment to admire her reflection, Janelle was pleased. "I like it", she said to herself. It sounded like some of her classmates weren't as happy about the whole semi-permanent transfiguration thing as she was. Although, Janelle wasn't so sure that she'd be excited about elf ears. No, that she could do without.

Seriously....they were keeping their eyebrows like this for till the next lesson. What was with these Hogwarts Professors.....did they ENJOY making fun of their students? That's what this felt like to Margo, ugh, but still it was kind of fun!!

Giving the spell one last try, Margo made her right eyebrow purple. So now she had one blue and one purple eyebrow. She looked like a crazy lady!!

What?! They couldn't put their eyebrows back to normal until the next class? Hayden was kind of glad that she hadn't been able to successfully perform the spell yet. She didn't want to be stuck with an extremely abnormally colored eyebrow until the next class. So she decided that she would try and make them fairly normal colors. Black or brown. As long as they weren't their usual red it would be fine, right?

"Capullus colorum." She tapped her left eyebrow, concentrating on the color she wanted. A nice dark black would do the trick. This time, it worked. Hayden grinned at herself proudly in the mirror. Perhaps she had been motivated by her desire to make her eyebrow a normal color. Her concentration must have been spot on. She was just happy that it worked, and she just needed it to work one more time. At the moment, she had one eyebrow that was red and another that was black. Weird, but at least it wasn't as weird as it could be.

For a moment, Kate thought about reversing the spell and changing her eyebrows to a normal color. A different color...but a normal color. She didn't, though, for two main reasons. Number one, she wasn't sure the professor would allow them to. What was done was done, and that might be the professor's way of thinking, too. The most important reason, though, was the fact that Kate figured this might be the only chance she'd ever get to get away with having bright pink eyebrows. They were an odd color for eyebrows, but she'd get to change them back...one day.

So Kate settled for taking out a piece of parchment and a quill and taking notes about what she'd done. She wrote down the spell name, the incantation, and how many times it had taken her to get things right. She also wrote about the cotton candy, bubble gum, and other items she had thought of to get the bright pink eyebrows. So now, since she couldn't reverse anything, she just observed her eyebrows in the mirror.

Okay, one more successful spell attempt and she'd be good. Done. She needed two eyebrows of the same color before she left. She stared at herself in the mirror. She could do this. She totally could. It had taken her a few tries to get it right, but she had. So she could do it again. Yes she could.

"Capillus Colorum." She tapped her right eyebrow with her wand. Nothing happened. She took a deep breath and tried again. Hayden was concentrating very hard on turning her eyebrow black. She closed her eyes for a moment and imagined how she wanted it to look. Just like the other one. Okay. Ready. "Capillus Colorum." She tapped her eyebrow. To her delight, the eyebrow started to change to a dark black. Yay! Now they both matched! Hayden grinned at herself in the mirror with delight.

What, what, what?!

They'd be keeping their coloured brows until the next class? Adi had two different coloured brows... well, he would soon :x3: Instead of being dismayed though, he found that quite cool. He'd be walking around with green and orange brows and he wouldn't care what others thought. It was a chance to show off his creativity and spell work. Yup.

Also, the weird Hufflepuff had no questions.

Back to work!

"Capullus colorum!'' Once again, Adi concentrated as best as he could though it took him a while to get to that point because he kept looking towards AJ. He was thinking he should probably look for a free mirror or switch with somebody but then he changed his mind. He could do this! He wasn't going to let AJ get the better of him. He could fall apart later but right now, half of his brow needed to be green.

Oh hey! Loooook! With just one tap of his wand, the bright green colour spread to the rest of the brow. Woot! He was done with this! Adi wriggled his brows and grinned broadly at his reflection. "Well done, self. You deserve a chocolate frog.'' After class of course.

All around her people were getting the spell down, and here she was still struggling. It was looking like the longer her and Adi went without talking, the longer she would struggle with life. Their fight was seeping into her personal life too. It didn't help at all that AJ just realized she had the perfect view to watch Adi's every move. This was going to help her out... PFFT.

Now she had to not only try and concentrate of this really hard spell, but she had concentrate on NOT staring at him. Why was life so unfair? At least Adi had Benny. With the exception of Lux, AJ had to deal with this whole dilemma by herself. Which honestly, she kind of preferred. She was more of a suffer in silence type.

Giving it another go, AJ tapped her eyebrow. "Capillus colorum." She studied herself in the mirror. They were still brown. This is the time when Adi would have been there for her, and helped her out. She ruined that though. It looked like she was on her own.

Well, Domino did want to kwep her ears. That was one thought before the professor said anything. But she then changed her mind...she sighed. Guess it was good a time as any to learn the countwr curse....what if something goes wrong? She sighed. What ever she guessed.

COME AGAIN?

Staring at the Transfiguration professor as if SHE'D suddenly grown two elf ears and an elf nose for good measure, Bambi found it difficult to comprehend exactly WHY this was needed. Just to humiliate them? But why was that necessary? Humiliation had nothing to do with Transfiguration! That even rhymed, so it MUST be true!

Finally wrenching her eyes away from the Professor, she looked at her reflection, sighed, and moved her chair so that she could sit while still looking at herself in the mirror. With both her ears done and strict orders to no reverse the spell, Bambi had nothing to do but look at herself in the mirror. Herself with ELF EARS. Granted, she could ask if anyone needed help but truth be told she had a feeling she might get yelled at and Bambi didn't want that at all. Bad enough she had pointy ears.

Cutty looked into the mirror again after noting the progress of others also tasked with changing their brows. He wanted teal eyebrows, mostly because it meant that if he could do that, he could do ...other things. It all harkened back to that time he almost turned Sonea Duvessa into a slow case of madness by turning her rat into a hat and hiding it away for adding the most unwelcome shade of pink to the Slytherin common room.

How dare she.

He'd practiced for a whole month until he got the hang of colour transfiguration enough to change her pillows and accent lamps green and silver.

Necessity. That mother of invention.

Holding his wand in hand, he went over one brow. "Capillus Colorum." And then the other, "Capillus Colorum." until they were both a dark shade of teal.

"Professor, What if we don't like the colour?" Angel had no idea why her eyebrows had gone pink, but she didn't want to keep them pink until the next lesson everyone would laugh at her.

Whoa, they were going to be able to keep their eyebrows a different color until the next lesson? Wicked! The only problem now was for her to get the spell to work. How embarrassing it would be for the spell to never work. Everybody would know because she would be the only one with normal eyebrows. The struggle was real.

Thinking of nothing but red eyebrows, AJ tapped her wand to her right one again. "Capillus colorum." She pulled the mirror up as close to her face as possible. Nothing. Ugh. "Capillus colorum!" TAP. There was a faint red-ish color. Was this actually going to work for her after all? "Capillus colorum." Tap. There it was. Her right eyebrow was a beautiful shade of red. It had finally worked for her. Now she just needed her left eyebrow to cooperate!
