The door to a mysterious door on the fifth floor swings open to reveal a dank and dusty room which has clearly been vacant for years. White sheets cover the furniture, cobwebs fill every nook, cranny, corner, and everything in between, including a cup filled with wooden potion stirrers. The heavy scent of mildew permeates every aspect of the room. For some reason, all you can do is stand and stare inside.
Though the door swung open easily, a strange barrier once again prohibits the living from entering this room. The barrier was put in place by Marcella Riddle the term after her unfortunate demise and protected the peace and quiet of the ghosts still residing at Hogwarts. The room has on off since laid quietly in the years since the young Hogwarts ghosts reattained their bodies.
For more details on the former residents of this room, please read Hogwarts, A History, chapters term 5 to term 7).

More students were getting there! Great! the Hufflepuff loved all of the costumes but leave it to Lux to pull off that fashionable look as always. "You look very pretty, Lux,'' he told his friend. But didn't she always? And Zander! "Very creative, Mister Prefect.''
"Thanks, Puck. You look great, too!'' But Margo was dressed as a medical person? Adi supposed that wouldn't be a problem. "Hi, Margo. You look awesome!''
Oh look! Professor Flamsteed having a good laugh at Zander. LOL. The Puffer returned the 'Live Long and Prosper' greeting. Oh yeah! Extra credit! Adi was there for that. And food, too. Yup. But at that moment he happened to notice a girl all off by herself (Cilla) whom he went off to join. 'Hi. Not going to mingle with us?"
He was curious, sooooooo very curious about the strange figure dressed as an astronaut. But then the mystery was solved by the dude pulling his helmet off. Adi. OF COURSE it was Adi. Duuuhhh. "I should've known," he said with a chuckle. But onto the topic of the practibility of said suit, Zeke wondered out loud, "Isn't it super hot in that?" It looked like it would be super hot.

Oh boy, she was just giving out information to some one she hadn't really met before. "I'm Margo by the way." She added with a smile and a hand shake.
Little blondie wanted to be a doctor? Cool. And he supposed being a Healer would be EVEN cooler than that. "You're lucky to know what you want to do." He didn't know when he was a muggle, and he didn't know now. Making choices was HARD.
Zeke helped himself to some food to help pass time. He rather liked pumpkin, so this was brilliant in that sense. He quickly wiped a hand down his costume pants as a handshake was offered. He hoped she didn't mind... heh... "Nice to meet'cha, I'm Zeke," he returned brightly, grinning.

"Mighty fine Hallowe'en festivities you have here, Professor Flamsteed," he noted with a casual glance around the room. The ghost was almost willing to overlook the date and its significance for certain others.
And then there were GHOSTS, which made sense considering it was the Spirit Room and all. And... yeah, HOW were they allowed in here exactly? He wanted to know. He wanted to know BADLY. The Fat Friar also rated a mention, but Zeke couldn't NOT greet his own House Ghost, so bounding over to him for a quick hello, Zeke offered the ghost a small wave which was haphazardly followed by a quick salute. "Hello Sir Nicholas," he greeted, "Thanks for uhhh... having us here, it's awesome." SUPER awesome. And.. his question! "How are we allowed in here though?"

Seemed that she wasn't the only one that liked the costume, because Adi was complimenting her. "Thanks! You look really nice too." He pulled off an astronaut very well.
Spotting Professor Flamsteed, she happily returned the gesture which she assumed was a form of greeting relating to Star Trek. "Live long and prosper, sir." Even if she wasn't very familiar with the series, she DID know that line. "This party looks amazing!" Rotten food aside, of course. Her attention turned to the area for the Extra Credit assignment before Nearly Headless Nick joined them. "Happy cross-quarter day, Sir Nicholas. I hope you are well."
More people arrived, and Lux waved to Zander, Puck, Margo, Benny, and Kace in turn. "Looking good, guys!" She liked how Margo and Kace had done their own thing instead of wearing something related to Astronomy. "I didn't know you liked the Power Rangers," she told Kace before laughing as he snuck up on Puck.
Hearing the Fat Friar, Lux turned her attention to him. "Happy cross-quarter day, Friar. How are you?" He was her House Ghost and seemed really nice - no surprise since he HAD been a Hufflepuff.
"Saturn would have been awesome," he nodded, imagining what she'd look like if she had. And in fact, it would be AWESOME fun... why didn't he think of coming as a plant? He probably could have ROLLED all the way here instead of having silly ball things as weird antlers springing from his head. Yeah.
...
The looking fat bit was silly though. "You couldn't look fat, even if you dressed as an elephant." It was a fact. She was still Lux under all the costume stuff, so NOT FAT. That was his logic.
The Puck arrriiiived, and Gryffindor had BOTH prefects there already. Boo... meant he couldn't go mucking around too much. Heh. Too much... maybe. But points!
"Thanks, you too," he returned the complement. Her dress was pretty... and he could tell it was the night sky, but it might have been TOO pretty for just a Halloween-ish party. Or so HE thought.
Sure, Zeke was probably right that her costume was too fancy…but well, she wanted to feel like an EMPRESS and be all regal and awesome like the night sky…which she was doing.
“Thanks Zeke” she grinned, and added in a hushed whisper she wanted to tell him that if he got up to anything tonight that she wouldn’t hold it against him…and that she wouldn’t take points away but she couldn’t except she couldn’t take points away. “if I could give you house points for having a creative costume I would” she added with a grin.

He also saw Nearly Headless Nick was here. He nodded towards him and listened to what he had to say.
Puck jumped she might even have yelped slightly as Kace tapped her on the shoulder. Not cool Kace Lecium, but all she did was turn and raise an eyebrow at him while he stood there and complimented her on her costume…the compliment had saved him. Really.
“Thanks Kace, yours is…a power ranger right?” She asked grinning. “Too bad if it had been something Star Trek related you could have spent the night going ‘Beam me Up Scotty’” she grinned widely and beamed at everyone as they entered.

Oh right…Happy Cross-quarter day, “happy Cross-Quarter day Lux.” She beamed.

Norah totally walked and didn't skip through the door to the spirit room, a fact which she accredited completely to her newfound maturity as opposed to the fact that her glittery star costume made skipping rather difficult. Her mouth fell into the shape of a big O as she entered the room, but she closed it quickly 'cause apparently things start to stick after your mum tells you they're rude a gazillion times. Course that didn't mean she had made any effort to brush her hair for the party, but one step at a time, okay. And anyways, the third year knew that her conveniently BRIGHT attire would distract anybody crazy enough to care what her hair looked like probably still only her mum, because she had put on every single sparkly things she owned from her head down to her toes underneath the big star, just in case anybody forgot she what she was. A sparkly star. That's what she was.
Her hazel eyes travelled over the other students' costumes before falling on Professor Flamsteed, who was dressed up in cool, bright stuff that Norah didn't really understand, but that was cool nonetheless. Or maybe Professor Flamsteed was just cool. Or Halloween was just cool! Everything was cool, really. "Hi Professor Flamsteed! Nice costume." She GRINNED at him and continued strolling through the room, looking down at her arms with a mesmerized gaze as she watched the light bounce of the shiny material. Eheheheh WOAH. Shiny shiny shiny! Shiny shi-OOMPH.
Norah landed on her backside after having crashed into something.....blue. And big. What? The third year inspected herself ALL over to make sure none of her sequins had fallen off, 'cause they were always a priority y'know, before pushing herself up off the ground to face the big blue ball-y thing. "Sorry! I was just...sparkles. Y'know?" She grinned at the Gryffindor boy (Zander!) in the hopes that he would forgive her for not looking where she was going. Then again, she wasn't sure how she had missed him--Zach? NO, Zander! That was it-- considering how big his costume was 'n all that. "I like your costume! Are you a planet? Or a meteor? OOH! A gum ball?"

Late.
Late.
Late.
That's all Hady knew as she arrived at the doorway to The Spirit Room. She was never late! And it was actually getting to her a bit that she was this time. It wasn't her fault really as she had been in the library and such but still. Being later wasn't her thing...she had to put her things away and then rush to her dorm to change which made her even more late!
Now she was standing there in the doorway looking inside. She could see how much everyone had actually dressed up for this party and lots of them put thought into their costumes. This second year however hadn't really done to much of either...those charms she was working on sure could drive a young girl insane. So not having time to design a costume she had owled her parents and asked to have the clothing she wanted for tonight sent to her. It was simple clothing she'd put together but at least it matched the theme she supposed.
Luck for her it arrived in time and here she was. Inhaling slowly and letting the breath out even slower Hady stepped into the room without much thought of how she had actually been able to get INTO the room today. Glancing around she made her way to the center of the room staring up at the pumpkins on the ceiling that had everyone's constellations carved into them. That was pretty awesome.

Helena glided into the spirit room through the wall, with her fan in hand she surveyed the halloween party's attendants. Professor Flamsteed was there as well as a number of student's in varying costumes and Sir Nicholas and the Friar of course. No Baron yet!
Flashing Sir Nicholas a warm smile and sending a wave with her fan hand in the Friar's direction Helena floated over to the table to inspect the rotten food. Turning she called over to Professor Flamsteed. "Thank you for bringing along some food that we that are non-living can enjoy too."

Phew! Adi had NOT know it would be that hot in that suit. But still, it was fun to pretend he was an astronaut. He smiled broadly at Zeke. "It is,'' he admitted. "But hey, we space folks don't let the suits get in our way.'' LOL.
Adi gave Margo a one armed hug which was a little awkward in the Astronaut suit but he managed. "So am I! Seeing all these costumes is fun enough.'' When the little Hufflepuff turned to speak to Zeke, it was hard not to overhear what was being said. Oh, a doc but now a Healer! How cool! With that bright, bubbly personality, she'd cheer all the sick people up in no time.
Ghosts! Of course there were ghosts! "Hi, Sir Nick! -olas. Sir Nicholas." Adi caught himself just in time as he remembered that the Gryffindor ghost preferred to be called by his right name. And there was the Fat Friar! "Hi!'' He grinned at his House ghost. Always in a good mood, that one. He waved to the Grey lady too. She had been so nice to him at the Start of Term Feast.
POWER RANGER IN THE ROOM! Adi grew up on those old shows. Mhmmm. He tapped the Ranger on the shoulder. "Cool costume.'' He looked past the Ranger to see Kate looking all sparkly in her outfit. Or it was mainly the bow. Hehe. "Hiya, Kate!"
Poor Cilla. "I'm Adi. But I really don't understand why you're worrying about your costume. I think you look awesome! Out of the world!'' See what he did there? LOL. "And I really think that it's cool that you could sew.'' Cilla looked younger than him and he was impressed. When Lux joined them and echoed what he said, Adi smiled. Surely Cilla would feel a whole lot better now.
"Thanks! I tried my best to put it all together to match NASA's as much as possible.'' Oh yeah! Ad had been thrilled when he found out that he had been paired with Zander. "It should be fun. I'll bring along loads of Chocolate Frogs so we don't get hungry.'' Because they were growing boys and all.
Oh look! A fallen star! Hehe. Just kidding! It was just the bubbly Norah. "Hey, Norah. I see you're the star of the party.'' Oh boy. Adi was on a roll with the puns. Not far behind was Hady. "Looking very pretty, Hady.''
"Benny!'' The Hufflepuff had been wondering when his bestie would show up. "Nice costume. I see you were being fashionably late.'' And he wasn't being shy about the food either. Grabbing a pasty from his friend's plate with one hand and Benny's free arm in the other, Adi pulled him towards the spot where Flamsteed had indicated the extra credit. "If you want to get this out of the way first,'' was all he said. Adi would prefer to do just that then he'd have time for all the fun.
Puck ran her hand through her hair and straightened it out as she looked at the instructions and grinned and walked over to the saplings and examined them for a moment before considering the instructions that were on the blackboard near it. Yes, of course she would have fun too, but she was also going to get the much-needed points.
She picked two of the pots and wrote her name, year, and house on it. She had to decide which of the two of the plants to choose from. Flicking her wand in the direction of the plant and thought as strongly as possible as she cast her vitaris charm. “Vitari” she cast and watched as the sapling began to grow rather fast…wait that was impossible she had only just cast the spell and it was already almost finished growing. AND the SIZE of it! It was like a mountain…one of those pumpkins from one of those county fairs?

"At ease," he saluted calmly. Not that she was incorrect seeing as Spock had become a captain at one point in the Star Trek timeline, but he was paying homage to the Original Series today, the one in which Spock was not captain yet. So no, not entirely correct. No bonus points to you today, prefect.

"Why thank you, Miss Holiday," the astronomer saluted the first year. "And thank you for attending. Looking to be a Healer in the future?" Or perhaps it was a simple fascination with muggle professions that had brought her to her costume choice?

He was aware of the young Slytherin Miss as she made her way over - the teenage angst was strong with her it seemed - but the Hufflepuff prefect and Miss Carrington seemed to be tending to her needs, so he gave the group a small salute and then slipped away with another handful of roasted pumpkin seeds.

Plus, it'd give him a chance to show that he learned how to say things the proper way now. Anyways, waddling was happening. Despite the fact that the costume was made pretty darn well, he only had two holes for his legs to go through and that didn't give much freedom for movement. Rather restricting.
"I thought you might like it, Professor!" The Gryffindor grinned. Normally, the laughter would send him off into a very bright red mess. But it was kind of expected and even a little intentional this time... So he'd live with it. And oh, extra credit, eh? He could do that! Maybe not easily considering the er, choice of attire, but he'd try? "Are we allowed to get started on that, right now?"

Airey gave the prefect to VERY enthusiastic thumbs up. "Best costume of the night," he nodded. So far anyway - although this one would certainly be hard to beat.
"Jump right in, Mr. Adair. The night is young but certainly won't stay that way." He, having learned from past experiences, was able to stop himself before his poor bedside manner got in the way again. Leave more morbid thoughts at the door and all that.

"Sir Nicholas was quite insistent on it," the astronomer chuckled. Truth be told, the food was the foundation of negotiations. No food, no permission to enter.
Wiggling his fingers, he wondered whether to try some bobbing for apple and risk his false eyebrows coming off...or if he should break the ice with the whole pumpkin growing bit. Students seemed to be a bit timid about starting any of the activities thus far.
OH! Save for the one Gryffindor prefect. Alright, that put her back at a neutral for her small mistake earlier.

Oh there was one house ghost...and then another. Their presence seemed to make the Halloween seem complete with the spookiness ghosts tended to have, at least in muggle celebrations. Nearly Headless Nick and the Fat Friar were common presences around Hogwarts on any ol' day, even if he saw the former, his house's ghost, more often. "Good evening, Sir Nicholas...Friar," he greeted the two of them.
Lux the Hufflepuff he had met at the feast complimented his costume amongst others as she came near him and those in the near vacinity."Thanks..." Benny stated simple. "You, too." And another ghost joined the party, this time from Ravenclaw as Helena, the Grey Lady appeared and headed to the collection of spirit-appropriate food.
Finally his nickname alerted him back to Adi's presence as the Hufflepuff joined him. "Thanks...yours too," he returned, briefly wondering where his bestie had gotten the get-up. Benny wrinkled his nose playfully as he lost a tasty morsel from his plate before being pulled off to one side. "What---" he started to question before they stopped infront of the table of plants. Oh...extra credit.
"Sure...why not," he agreed, leaning forward to read over what they were to do for it.
Margo smiled at Zeke It's nice to meet you!" Margo was having a blast meeting all these new people and seeing all these costumes. She was loving it. "Oh no look! Peeves is here!" Margo told Zeke pointing at the poltergeist and moving slightly away from him. "That thing scares me, something awful!" Margo was slowly trying to hid behind Zeke's body.
"I love the astronaut costume Adi!" Margo said blushing a very deep red when Adi gave her the side hug. She never expected to make such good friends here at Hogwarts, and certainly not one that she could relate so well to. Adi as more like a big brother to her than Mason ever was. She felt bad that he wasn't at Hogwarts with her, but there wasn't anything she could do about that. "So are you ever going to tell me what was wrong the other day." Margo asked him, not wanting to ruin the moment, but she cared greatly for her friend.

Lux didn't know why Zander and Margo were ignoring her, but whatever. Laughing, she gave Puck a thumbs up. "Happy cross-quarter day to you too," she told her friend before watching her wander off to work on the extra credit. She would be moving over to do that soon too.
She smiled at Professor Flamsteed. "This was one of my favourite lessons. I loved carving the pumpkins. Your classes are always so much fun." This wasn't sucking up, just honesty. Flamsteed always managed to make his lessons so fun. She especially loved carving the pumpkins and making planets.
Zeke was so sweet and awwww. "Thanks, Zeke. That makes me happy to hear." Because she hated thinking she looked fat. It was very nice of him to have said that and she smiled at him.
Adi and Benny were heading off to do the extra credit as well, and Lux figured she'd head after them in a moment and see what was required.

Late she was. A fact that was unavoidable, considering that she had waited until her dorm mates were gone to change, since she hadn't wanted anyone to see her costume. Nope, she wanted it to be a surprise, especially since she hadn't really stuck to the theme. But she was here now. And starting to regret her decision to break with theme. There was only one other person not dressed in something space related, the red fighter person over there. Even Flamsteed was dressed as Spock!
It was too late to change now, though. So, Heather just owned it. "Hey, everyone!" Yep, owning it.

You know, he was starting to have some regrets after trying to walk around in this bulky costume thing of his.... Definitely not wearing this on real Halloween, that's for sure. Though, Professor Flamsteed's next comment did put a brilliant (heh) smile on his face. Maybe it wasn't a bad choice after all then! Heheh. Best costume of the night!? HE'D TAKE IT! "Thanks, Professor!" Very proud indeed.
And.... Huh? The Prefect tilted his head at the night not staying young bit, knowing perfectly well what the Professor said, but not exactly knowing what he meant by it. Though he nodded happily and saluted the man, trying to imitate the greeting he had given him only moments ago. "Sounds great, Professor Flamsteed! I'll get to it right away!" And with that, he turned around to walk towards the activity things. Because that's really why he was here... And dressed like a ginormous planet. Waddling away now. Mhm.

Right. “A beautifully manmade yoo-rain-us” she grinned chuckled and even lifted her hand and ruffled his hair because…well? What else was she going to do stand there and not mess with her friend?
Well okay, he wasn't going to start on it right away because there were some people to talk to first, but he'd get to the activity soon of course. It was why he was here in the first place, hadn't he established that much already? Yeah. Totally did. "Sailor Neptune, huh?" The Gryffindor smiled a little at the mention. "We could've matched with the planet theme and all, but don't worry, you're costume--" he paused for a moment to look at it again, "Is great, Puck," it was really nice actually.
The yoo-rain-us comment on her part though, that got him a bit pink in the face, but not enough to draw any notice... Hopefully. But the hair ruffling, that got a nice little nose scrunch from him. And he struggled for a moment trying to lift his hands in the air to fix it too because Merlin, these arm holes were really restricting. But once he finally got his hands to reach up to it, he quickly began fixing his hair back up. How come girls never respected the hair, huh?

Zander smiled at the boy and gave him a small nod too, "Does look pretty accurate," and probably better than his own home-made costume. Oops. But pft, at least Flamsteed took a liking to it so that's all that mattered anyways. After all, it was only really for the extra credit. Nothing more. ANYWAYS. "Oh, I'll bring some too then! OOH! YOO-RAIN-US WAS UNDER ATAAAAAACK!! Not really, but he was just crashed into so that happened. See, as soon as he started regretting wearing the huge orby thing, someone said something to reaffirm it. So really, it wasn't a bad choice. Couldn't be if so many people said something about it. That's how compliments work. "Thanks!" O____O Gumball??? Blink. Blink. BLINK. "Uh, no I'm YOU-RAIN-US," looking back at Professor Flamsteed with a quick nod for that one. He learned how to say it right and everything. Never your-anus. Apparently.
But uh speaking up his costume, WAIT A MINUTE, WAS HE DENTED?! "Is erm, is there a dent in my planet though?" Where she bumped into it? Was it alright? Because he couldnt' just go around with a dented planet costume. That'd be miserable.

Puck chuckled, sure, she had said the wrong name for Spock…but, well he was ALSO Captain Hook last term. It was always going to fit him wasn’t it? The title of Captain…Captain Astrology maybe? She grinned as she stepped away from the gigantic pumpkin that she had created.
Almost as soon as she stepped away she audibly groaned. “Peeves,” she glared harshly at the poltergeist. The last time she had seen him he had sprayed soap all over her and it had RUINED her food. Puck gave the Benny a nod of hello she even gave hello nods to Margo as well.
“Aw thank Lux,” Puck grinned and returned to the area with her friends. “You look amazing by the way – and you know after we are all done with the star look” she beamed.
And hey look roommate! “Hey Heather!” Puck waved over to her dorm mate, “nice cheerleading uniform, too bad we don’t have like any teams to cheer for other than Gobstones right? Because that would SO be the Gryffindor Cheer Squad uniform and you’d SO looking amazing on it…and be amazing in it” she beamed.
Puck couldn’t help but grin when she was talking with Zander, what? He was her friend that was NORMAL. “You know what Adair,” Puck beamed at him, “we’ll have to do that next time…or do both and say watch Guardians of the Galaxy?” She grinned and chuckled at his comment about her costume…”thanks, it’s a bit itchy though” she admitted as she scratched at her side.
ITCH ITCH IIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTCCCCCCCCCHHHHHH!
And then he was nose crunching at her and making her laugh with the fixing of his hair. Hah, that was funny…what? She liked messing with her friends. She moved away from her friends again after grabbing a bit to eat. YAY FOOD.
And headed back to the plants. Hello second plant.
Wand at the ready, she flicked it and cast a quick strong (just as strong as before really,) “Vitari” and it was growing…just slowly and not half as fast as before. Puck even wandered away grabbed another drink and made her way back to the plant and it was still growing.
More waiting….and waiting and finally it was no longer green…but it was just a boring regular sized dwarf pumpkin compared to its companion. She had failed Jumbo.

He beamed, feeling super childish in a childish costume.. which was FUN. Now was the time to be young, and so here they were, partying with pumpkins, ghosts, and all dressed up.
Leaning forward a little to hear Puck's hushed words, he couldn't help but smirk a little and shrug, "Thanks, but it's cool... that's what that's for," he added, pointing over to the area with the potted seedling things. Extra credit activities FTW.

It was, of course it was... and were there breathing holes in that thing? Did Adi need him to make some??? Not being able to breathe and dying wouldn't be any fun, at all... though, at least he'd be in the right room for it. SPIRIT ROOM.

Meeting the younger ones was always interesting, and though he had been in their position only a year ago, the WHOLE YEAR felt like such a long time. He was grown up in comparison - kinda, maybe, almost.. a little.
Peeves? Turning around, he caught sight of the poltergeist, and ahem... a party wasn't a party without him? Maybe. But a party with him was always bound to be out of control so the term 'uh oh' came to mind.
"He's... not too bad," Zeke said, though he remained where he was - a human shield to protect the girl from Peeves. "He can be funny sometimes, so long as it's not you he's doing funny things to." Cause that could get annoying. He liked Peeved best when it was at the expense of others. "But with the Professor and other ghosts here I don't think he'll be a problem." Surely.

And since there were so many people here, and Lux was entertained by others, he didn't mind quickly searching the room for people his own age, of his own group... and that's when he saw her. Hady!
"Sorry... gotta go," he mused lowly to Lux as he made a bee-line to his Lady Snake.

Having seen her across the way when he was talking to Lux, Zeke meandered through the group and snuck around behind some of the bigger costumes.
Ahem.
When he was in position, Zeke slipped his arms around from behind her and placed his hands over her eyes. Could she guess who?

Oh boy. Adi was on a roll with the puns. Not far behind was Hady. "Looking very pretty, Hady.''
Lowering her gaze from the floating constellation pumpkins Hady checked around the room to see who had arrived. Many of them had. She didn't think she looked pretty but she thought it was nice of him to say so. "Thanks Adi, you make an awesome astronaut!" She offered him a friendly smile.
Continuing on her way she stopped near the tables of food. Checking out what was there she was surprised when everything went dark! A pair of hands had gone over her eyes. "Uh..." Came the small girls reply at first not sure who it could be. There was quite a few people here but who would do this?

UH, had been his response that time that she'd done this exact same thing to him, so he was rather pleased with that. It kinda made things even between them now. Grinning, Zeke waited for HER to figure out that it was him, that or, make him reveal himself - but where was the fun in that?
He didn't say anything, and he wasn't about to remove his hands on his own accord. Shifting his weight from one foot to the other, Zeke craned his neck to the side to try to see her facial expressions, he only hoped he hadn't started her... he wasn't abducting her or anything.

No hints from the person behind her. Well then alright. With a small grin Hady moved her hands up to lay them on top of his but she didn't move his hands. This was her way of seeing how big his hands were compared to her own...giving herself an idea on who it might be.
The persons hands were larger but not to much so it was someone close to her age most likely. That narrowed it down..a lot! From the way the person had managed to come up behind her and do this it reminded her of the beginning of the year in the courtyard. Zeke! Her Lion! Smirking slightly she slipped her hands around his and gently removed them from her eyes keeping hold of them.
Without turning around she whispered a quiet. "Hey Zeke"

He couldn't see much of anything of her face, which was disappointing, but the fact that she was feeling round told him she didn't know it was him, at least, not outright. Zeke could feel his patience waning, and was about to give her a clue when he suddenly felt her hands take his and move them away. So she WAS going to peak! Only... she didn't, but she wasn't letting go.
Confused for all of a brief moment, Zeke wondered if perhaps she thought he was someone else. Awkward? Again, she surprised him by whispering his name. HIS name. He'd heard it. "Hi, Hady," he whispered back. He slipped one of his hands out of hers, but left the other very comfortably in her possession, this way he could move around and see her proper. "Nice costume," he mused, "it's very... astronomical," for want of a better word.

She was correct right? Cause if she wasn't that would be somewhat embarrassing. Which is why she only whispered his name then even though she was nearly certain it was him. Finally she heard the whisper of reply. 'Hi Hady' it was the voice said. It was then that a bright grin spread across her face. It was her buddy!
As she felt him let go of one of her hands she wondered if she should let go of his other? He didn't try to let go though so maybe he didn't mind? Keeping his hand in hers she closed her fingers around his just a bit better as she watched him move in front of her. So that's why he only let go of one of her hands! "Uh yeah thanks...I kinda didn't have time to really shop or make something..." She answered with a tiny shrug and a small laugh. It was true she had been busy learning those spells.
Eying his costume better now that he was closer she smiled. "I like your costume though, it's different and shows creativity."

"Uh yeah thanks...I kinda didn't have time to really shop or make something..." She answered with a tiny shrug and a small laugh. It was true she had been busy learning those spells.
Eying his costume better now that he was closer she smiled. "I like your costume though, it's different and shows creativity."
Adjusting his own grip of her hand, Zeke tangled his fingers between hers a little bit, if anything just to make it easier to drag her around the party. AND he still had the extra curricular activity to do, had she done it yet?
"Well you look nice, it matches and everything," he noted, shrugging off the fact she hadn't had time to plan ahead either. It was a ... what would Professor Airey say? A STELLAR effort. That it was. His costume though... HA! yeah... she was being nice. Zeke shrugged a quick response. "These are old pyjamas, I just painted stars on them... then got some sticks and stabbed balls, hey presto! A solar system!" It was hardly impressive. Not to mention he was sure he had the planets in the wrong order and not in their right rotation loopy things. Whoops. Planet sizes too were very wrong, but it was just a party.
Sooooooo.....
"You want something to drink? Eat?" Since they were here and there were free things to be had.

Fitting her fingers nicely between his when he moved his hand around she smiled slightly. He hadn't pulled his hand away which perfectly fine with her as she had come to grow used to holding his hand. It was easier that way, you know when there was a crowd and such around. No getting separated or anything. Yup that was the reason.
Hady chewed her lower lip at his 'compliment?' smiling softly. Was that what it was? Maybe he was just being nice. Who really knew for sure anyways. All she had done was found what she wanted in a few clothing books and owled her parents asking for them the items. Simple enough really. "Thanks. The goal was to match and not look completely stupid."
"Still though, you actually attempted to put something together yourself." She laughed quietly at his explaination of how he got his costume. They didn't really look like pajamas to her but it worked so good for him.
Food? Of course! With a nod of her hand she shifted her gaze to the food table. "Sure. Might as well eat before working on that activity, have you got to that yet?" Being late and all she had no idea what he'd done already.
