The beautiful serenity of the Black Lake has been admired for years and years, not to mention being one of Hogwarts' top hang out spots! The water stretches for miles and is home to an array of different sea creatures, and though most will not bother you, it is advised for students to not swim further than the in-water signs suggest.

Zeke shrugged his shoulders, defeated. "Something about it being a good school, and she can keep up her French, and... I don't know? To keep her away from me?" Maybe. Maybe it was the prank they pulled that sealed the deal. Either way, it sucked big time.

Waaaaait, his parents wanted to keep his sister away from him? Why? Had Zeke done something to her? Probably not, but it was a strange thing for him to have said. "Well, maybe they will change their mind and let her transfer over." It was always possible, though she wasn't sure how old his sister was; wouldn't do much good if she was a Seventh Year.
"It wasn't all luck, Zeke. I mean we all get lucky sometimes, but you also learn and develop skills as you get older. Besides, not being in Ravenclaw doesn't mean much. I have known loads of smart people who haven't been sorted there." Book smarts wasn't the only kind of intelligence. Look at Hermione!
And why was she talking to them anyway? She did NOT look worthy of their attention. And she was younger than them too. Maggie could just tell. Ew. First years. The look she sent the other girl CLEARLY reflected her thoughts too.
Well time to leave the girl he knew nothing about and just talk to MAGGIE. Dante was looking for a little fun in throwing a candy at her. But nothing happened. So back to the beginning. Important second year things to discuss....right. Right. Plus there was that giant bag of candy. It was a mystery. Because you can not eat that all yourself. Unless it was for the whole year.
Interesting.

Yum, Candy. Now he was hungry and candyless.

James shrugged and shook his head. "It's not for everyone that's for sure. I'm just that big of a nerd." Or romantic. He'd vote for either one. He could quote romantic stuff all day long. Not that he would...but he could....
"You think?" James said laughing and stretched out his legs. He listened as she spoke and pursed his lips before sitting up again. "About that..." He tried to think of a good way to phrase what he was going to ask. "I think you'd be great with creatures and dragons. Our studies are going to take us different places and...well...what happens with us then?" He looked up at her and swallowed, "I mean we haven't really done much with this dating thing and...I guess I want to know if you think we should keep at it or attempting it anyway or stick with being best friends because we know we'll end up going other places at the end of the term?" Hopefully she understood this was NOT him breaking up with her. He just really didn't know what they should be doing....
She nodded but then laughed and shook her head "No, not a nerd, a ravenclaw." she said smiling. Heh, she didn't mind that at all about him. It was kind of sweet she thought!
She grinned but then when he started speaking she moved to sit up more too. The moment had come where they had to decide what was happening between them? "And..and after summer as we head off to our own separate journey we say goodbye and focus on our new paths." He glanced up at her to see her reaction a little nervous. "I think because otherwise we will promise to stay in touch, and see each other often. But...in the end things would get in the way and will take priority."
Wow...that was tough. He felt sad now. Could use some chocolate. Didn't that make people happy?
The changing stairs could be a huge problem especially for a first year. Mainly when you're on your way to class! Otherwise it really didn't bother her to much cause she had found a few places she hadn't even meant to because of it. "Yeah I suppose so. I guess it's really all about timing when it comes to the stairs or knowing a different way of getting where you want to go."
Hady shrugged her shoulders in an uncaring way about the suggestion to change topics from muggles. She had no problem with talking of something else, in fact it was quite the opposite, she welcomed a change. However now it would always be there in the very back of her mind that Cahira had a huge thing against muggles. She'd keep it to herself though and try not to hold that against the young girl...much.
At the mention of capturing the giant squid Hady laughed. "I don't know about that. You'd probably end up getting yourself killed...or expelled." She didn't think the squid would be to kind about being captured and she knew the Professors wouldn't like it either. If this girl though wanted to try...more power to her.

She didn't mind adventure actually she welcomed it but if it was going to get her kicked out of school she was going to be very careful about it.

The pause had all sorts of things going through her head, but she knew in the end what he was going to suggest and she swallowed trying to focus on his words. It made sense, and if things were meant to be one day, they would be. Right? She hoped their friendship was as strong as that. As he spoke again her eyes met his when he looked up. "I hate the thought of that moment." she whispered still trying not to cry. "But I agree. Maybe....if we're forty and still single we'll search each other out?" she asked with a soft laugh. She just wanted to go back to her dorm and cry now into her pillow.

"Nothing.." she muttered. "I just think you're cute," she said and actually giggled. Giggled?! What is wrong with you?! she thought to her self.

Joking? She was joking? Zeke chuckled... he wasn't sure if she was, but she was nice enough to get a laugh out of him. Yep. But he found it strange that she wouldn't keep ANYTHING from Bay... anything at all. Who did that? Not have secrets? He thought EVERYONE kept secrets from everyone. Like how he'd lie about not eating the last chocolate, or how he'd say he took out the trash, and didn't or that he had no change left over after getting snacks and coffee. All those were lies, to people he cared about. "That's, pretty crazy.. you know that, right?" he said with all the seriousness he could muster.
But pffft... all he could really hope for was a miracle. Either him and Hogwarts would look like the BEST things in the world, of Beauxbaton would look like the worst. Maybe a kid should get eaten by a plant over there, then Ashley could come and tell him all about it. "That's the plan, kinda, I'm gonna keep writing them about all the neat things here, hope that it works." It was the best shot he had. That, or if Ashley got expelled, that might do the trick too.

Zeke kicked against the water a bit out of frustration, making it splash and rise unnecessarily. "Yeah.. well.. it's harder this year, like, I just don't get some things." Like Astronomy. It was one of his BEST subjects last year, and this year... it was probably his worst. "The hat told me I was too dumb for Ravenclaw, said my brain worked differently, I suppose it was right." Still, he offered Lux a lop-sided half-hearted smile. He might just ask the Professors for more help or something.
Tobias was bored out of his mind just sitting in the Gryffindor common room, groaning he gotten up and walked out of the common room heading towards the lake. Seeing that it was a bit crowded he sighed to himself. "To late to turn back now!" Tobias thought to himself. Walking towards a spot that was away from the crowd, he sat down by the lake as the wind rustled through his hair. He sent a letter to Savannah wanting her to see her due to not seeing her since school started. He missed hugging aand kissing her, he had to see her, he missed her.
It was weird that they were in the same year and house but didn't see each other much, Tobias knew that she was catching up with her friends from other houses and was upset about her parents divorce. Tobias was going to be there for her as much as he could, he loved her and knew that Savannah knew that he did. Feeling the wind calming him down, Tobias seen the giant squid coming up for a minute before going back down. Feeling a slight breeze run through him, he shivered a little before he wrapped his cloak around him.

“He really is…except maybe when he was hook” she laughed and nodded her hair. “Heck yeah I did – it was actually kind of fun and I also did it to avoid the…awkward stuff that was going on” she wasn’t going to go into details or anything but she still needed to talk to people about that opening party. “Oh these were sturdy and magical…what kind of payment would you do it for?” She asked curiously, her trusty smirk in place.
"Yeah, that was all that needed to be said, really," Caleb said with a shrug. Ah well, if he kept dwelling on that whole fiasco, he could never focus on moving forward and regaining all those points that had been lost. "No worries though, I'm just going to have work extra hard to make up for my housemate's stupidity," he said with a joking grin.
Well, he wanted to appear he was joking. He wasn't though. Hehe.
"Everyone keeps saying that...but I don't remember him as Hook. That must have been when I was, um...afflicted as well," he said awkwardly. He still couldn't get over the fact that he was, apparently, Rumpelstiltskin for a whole month. It was creepy and weird and he was seriously glad he hadn't actually murdered anyone.
What would he be paid? Hmmmm...he grinned, the topic getting back to more playful matters, and tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Well certainly for no less than 1000 galleons. And another crup puppy," he explained with a grin.

Savannah was quite glad that Tobias sent her a letter asking her to meet him by the lake, she missed him. Skipping happily down the slopes of Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry she headed towards the lake. Since her talk with her good friend Kace, she was feeling alot better, she was glad to have such a good friend as Kace was. Not only was he a good friend, but he was a big brother figure to her, something that she missed dearly. She guess that was one of the reasons why she was upset for, as she told Kace she felt that her family was broken now, but Kace told her it wasn't.
Savannah reached the lake and seen Tobias away from the crowd and smiled before she walked over towards him. Seeing his back turned to her, Savannah smirked to herself beforeshe had a mmischievous idea that popped in her head. Walking over towards him, she covered his eyes with her hands. "Guess who?"Savannah asked him in a voice that wasn't hers as she giggled softly to herself.

"So do I!'' the Hufflepuff interjected enthusiastically as he thought of the Elves he had met at Hogwarts over the years and in particular, this year. "They're so friendly and helpful.'' House elves were secretly Hufflepuffs in Adi's mind. But he nodded now. "I agree with you there but I also agree with the Elves. They seem to love what they do.'' Adi was kind of on the fence when it came to that topic.
