The beautiful serenity of the Black Lake has been admired for years and years, not to mention being one of Hogwarts' top hang out spots! The water stretches for miles and is home to an array of different sea creatures, and though most will not bother you, it is advised for students to not swim further than the in-water signs suggest.
Ethan made a confused face, as he accepted the fact that he was dreaming. "It's not nice..." he trailed off as his face went from confused...to sad... "BUT FASCINATING!" to excited. Heh. Must be the excess stress talking.
Ethan looked over the tree and the said shade, and the fifth year accepted Henric's help. He was already standing up when he felt super tired again. "Forget walking, Henric." he said and went on all four again. "Don't worry, I got this." he said and started to crawl.
Crawl, crawl, crawl...CRAAAAWWWWWWLLLLL...and flops on the ground.
"Aaaaaaah. Muuuuuch better. Come on over, chap! This spot is puuuuurrrrfect" he called out to Henric, and did a series of pats on the spot next to him. Perfect day to sprawl on the ground and do nothing, yeah?
"Merlin, this is the LIFE!"
Henric couldn't help feeling amused at his friend strange personality. He liked it, Ethan was different...but different in a good way. He needed some change in his life, maybe he should be as carefree like Ethan. But he wasn't going to ruin his pants by crawling onto the ground.
"Its alright, I think I stick to walking,"he replied, watching his friend crawled towards the tree. He followed him there, and saw that Ethan had gestured, rather animatedly,to a spot next to him. He grinned and laid back down on the ground, his arms resting over his head.
"Yeah...it is,"he agreed. He turned his head towards Ethan,"Why do I always see you either falling asleep somewhere, either in class or at the grounds, don't you have enough sleep mate?"he asked.

Ethan made a shocked face, and slowly turned his head to Henric. "Is my sleep deprivation case that bad?!" The fifth year blinked and briefly thought of his sleepless nights. "Merlin..." The sixteen year old glanced back at the sky and continued to watch the clouds. "I enjoy learning stuff really, so no...I don't fall asleep in lectures. Constant vigilance!" Did Henric not attend Headmistress Truebridge's Mandatory DADA Lesson earlier in the term?
"It's my OWLs mate. I had to cram this term because I missed a few classes." Naaaah, he doesn't want to talk about that really. It's over, it's done, it's time to celebrate!
"Will you be joining the field trip this summer? Should be fun..."

Henric didn't particularly paid much attention to Ethan when they were in the same classroom so he answered with a shrug."No,maybe...but you do look like it,I thought you fainted back there,"Henric teased. Hmm...where did he heard Ethan's phrase before...maybe one of their classes but he hadn't have any clue and decided to not think about it anymore. He was more than happy to just lay there and forget about school for a moment.
"Ohh,OWLS eh...no wonder you look so tired, well best of luck to you, I hope you will pass with exceeding expectations,I don't know how you can keep up with all the studying,I hardly keep up with mine..."he told him. He wondered where he had gone to if he missed a few classes. He didn't want to be nosy so he let the thought passed. When Ethan asked if he would be joining the field trip this summer, he nodded.
"Yeah, got my parents signature and all, I can't wait!" he said, smiling at the thought of going on his first ever field trip. "What about you?"he asked him.

"I think I did..." he said absentmindedly. "OWLs is a big deal. Imagine if you have to repeat a core subject? I'd probably be picked off from my family tree if that happens..." Ethan made a face as he imagined how his father would react if he failed miserably. "Nonono. I will pass...you will pass Ethan...you did your best...wooosssaaaahhh." the Slytherin exercised controlled breathing once more, just like how he did before taking his Defense practicals.
"Oh, thanks mate! I really, reeaaaaallly need good grades if I want to end up working for the International Confederation of Wizards." he said with a tired grin and a nod. "Weeeell, it's all about squeezing in study time to your regular routine." Ethan shifted his feet, and placed his hands behind his head. "I made most of my revision materials water proof and stuck them on our bathroom wall while I took a bath..." really, it saved a lot of time, "And I also have parchments stuck on my bed's canopy, so it's the first thing I'd see when I wake up." It was pretty neat actually...and speaking of parchments...he still needs to get those off of his bed. Him and his fellow rising sixth years would be moving further down the dungeons next term.
"That's good to hear. Yep, got my dad to sign it, though he thinks that getting an internship somewhere in Diagon Alley is still the better choice." Too bad he won't get a chance. It seems that DA won't give them the opportunity this summer...

Henric listened attentively to Ethan,he seem to have his life set out for him.Henric admired his ambitions, but he felt that Ethan shouldn't have to work himself up to achieve his goals. But who was he to say otherwise, unlike Ethan, Henric would end up helping out his adoptive muggle parents with their restaurant business after he graduated.Even then, he wasn't certain of his future. He dreamt that one day he could travel the world and have lots of adventures, but alas it was only a fascination and nothing more.He felt he wasn't brave enough to do it.
"Wow,International Confederation of Wizards! *whistle* That is one mouthful of a title there, its really great you got that goal in mind,Ethan,"he remarked. He continued to listen Ethan's detailed explanation of his study methods, its quite astonishing how hardworking Ethan could get. He laughed,"Even waterproof parchment and in your bathroom! You can't stop, can you!"Well,he was learning more and more about his friend.
"What does your dad do if you don't mind me asking? Is he in the ministry too?" he asked curiously.Did all wizards been raised strictly like Ethan.Having grown up in the muggle world, he had been meaning to ask what was it like living in a wizarding family but never got the chance to.He only found out that he was wizard on his 11th birthday and he never knew his birth parents too.Henric felt a sudden overwhelming sadness came over him whenever he thought of his birth parents, he wondered if they were like Ethan's parents.Strict and protective.

"Not just that, but it's bigger than the British Ministry. I get to work with all the wizarding ministries in the world!" Sounds cool, yeah? Ethan nodded his head, closed his eyes and imagined himself working for big time wizards and witches. Should be really fun, exciting...and ambitious too! It very well fits, the fifth year Slytherin. Yup.
"If you really want something Henric, you will do everything...and I mean EVERYTHING to get it. Hardwork is nothing without determination." Ethan said, in his lecture tone. Henric IS a Hufflepuff, so he ought to know what he's trying to say. In all seriousness though, his house may be even better than his friend's IF they just put their will to win the House Cup. Buuuuut yeah, who likes EXCESSIVE studying. Probably the Claws, mhmm.
Then there's the topic about his dad. Well, he's really not close to him because of reasons, but the man is okay. "He's a dragonologist like my cousin, but my dad focuses more on the security side. So he's like...an undercover dragonologist guy...making sure that there's no illegal trade going on and stuff." Pretty cool really, because dragon stuff AND spy stuff. He'd love to follow that same path, but he's not that interested with creatures. He likes puzzles and solving crimes more, so... "How about you mate? What does your parents do for a living?" he asked curiously. Shouldn't be a sensitive subject now, yes?

It was very enlightening to hear him talked about his dream career. Three years ago, he never would have known any of it exist at all. He thought he was different from the beginning, his adoring adoptive parents knew too so he was homeschooled for several years until Hogwarts came along.
"That sounds very exciting,Ethan, you get to travel too!"Henric chipped in. Henric sighed as he stared up in the sky. He believed he could do it,he was a Hufflepuff, known to be hardworking and loyal after all and hearing how Ethan motivated him, he felt better."Thanks,mate...maybe I should try harder this time, I just need to find a goal just like you,"he smiled.
"Wow...an undercover dragonologist!"Henric blurted out but soon realised he shouldn't be saying it loudly. He lowered his voice,"Amazing...I always love those fiery beasty creatures...bloody brilliant they are,do tell me more about it?"he implored.
When Ethan asked about his parents, his face contorted to a slight frown but managed to hide it quite well. He wasn't sure if he could tell Ethan because he was uncertain how his reaction would be if he told Ethan that he was adopted by a muggle family since he was 5 years old. He wasn't a muggleborn like a few of his classmates were. Noone knew where he came from.
"Umm...both my parents are muggles..."he admitted, waiting to hear the Slytherin reaction. "They owned a small restaurant in Manchester, my parents are chefs..."he continued, avoiding Ethan's gaze. Their job titles weren't as cool like Ethan's father so he felt a little out of place but he loved his parents just the same.
