Hady smirked innocently at her friend. "Is that so? Then you would also see that you're coming in with me, right?" She giggled softly as she allowed the nudge to push her backwards into the water. It was just a little nudge which never would really make her fall but this time she let it do just that.

As she fell into the lake behind her she tighten her hand around Angel's wrist giving the girl two choices...fall in with her or pull away quickly and probably fall in the grass. Either way Hady was going to make sure the older girl got wet.

Angel felt Hady grabbing her wrist as she was going towards the lake and she knew what was going to happen. "I might... I might not." Angel giggled as she tried to keep her balance but it failed.

*SPLASH*

Angel was in the water next to her friend, she was a soaked Angel... were Angels allowed to get wet? Angel giggled as she splashed her friend. "Okay so I was coming in with you then." Angel stuck her tongue out at her friend.

Hitting the water with a splash Hady grinned looking up at her wiping water from her face. Just in time she looked up to as Angel had toppled into the lake with her!

Yes! Score!

Hady laughed splashing the older girl and sticking her tongue out at her in return. "See told you you'd be going for a swim too!" A bright grin was on her face as she sat down in the water since they weren't very far in and it wasn't that deep where they were. Hopefully neither of them would end up sick though since it wasn't all that hot out just yet.

Oh well at least this was a fun change from everything else that had been going on around the school.

Angel giggled as she stuck her tongue out again at her friend, "you really need a good dunking." Angel thought about dunking her friend, she pretended too do it but then she stopped. "Maybe I'll do it later." Angel laughed.

Oh noway?! Did she seriously just use the older card on her? Hady frowned slightly rolling her eyes at Angel though she did also have a tiny playful grin on her face to show she wasn't exactly angry about it. "Yeah one year...doesn't really mean much" She supplied in return shielding her face with her arm as she was splashed again before going about and splashing her friend back. "Yeah we should. We can plan it as soon as we get the okay from the Professor of something." A sleepover would be nice. She didn't want to admit it but without her bestie around her lately she'd sorta began to get maybe just a bit...lonely. Anyhow her attention was quickly back on the other girl as she asked her another question. "Meh just a bit of this and that really. Doing homework, studying, practicing some new charms and such..." Ya know the usual.

Since the weather had decided to be warm, Lux was heading out to the lake in a spring dress. This was the kind of day that she liked, and dresses were her favourite which was funny when she thought back on how much she used to dislike them.

A pretty hat was on her head, and it had flowers that matched the ones on her dress. Matching was important, and she made sure to always wear outfits where everything went together nicely. How could she become a part-time model if she didn't have the right look?

Standing near the shore she decided that it was a good time to work on her model walk a little more since it had been a while. She might be a little rusty from lack of practice, but that didn't matter in the least because it was simple to do.

Strutting her stuff, Lux walked back and forth in a straight line long the shore. She had to make sure to move her hips just the right way. Too bad willa and Justine weren't there to see her.

Ian looked up at the sky suspiciously. Where had this sudden sunlight come from?! Literally it had been pouring five minutes ago, now the sky looked clearer and brighter than it had in months. Maybe that Simon kid was right and he just had bad karma.
But. He wasn’t about to complain. Some sunshine was welcome after so many months of snow and gloom. He was over this depressing British weather and found himself daydreaming about surfing back home more often than usual.

The boy removed his soaked hoodie as he walked toward the lake, making plans in his mind to lay on the grass a bit and let his clothes dry while he took a nap and pretended that he didn’t have class. Honestly, he wasn’t sure why the school hadn’t expelled him yet. But he also didn’t care.

Dumping his hoodie on the grass, Ian proceeded to lay on his back beside it. The sun was bright and warm and cozy and oh so amazing on his skin. He was quietly mourning the death-by-water of his golden iPhone 6 Plus when he saw a girl cat-walking her way down the shore. Whoa. Ian sat up and rested on his elbows to get a better look.

Ian smirked, getting up to his feet when he noticed it: red, vibrant, brighter than Santa Claus’s outfit on Christmas morning - that hair.
He knew that hair. He’d seen it before. The hair, the girl, the lake… it brought him a feeling of deja vu. And now he remembered why.


“….Mermaid chick?” He raised an eyebrow as she neared. Was it really her? The one who freaked out when he skipped the trip to the toilet and relieved himself in these very waters?

Walk. Walk. Pose.

Lost in her own world, Lux didn't realize that she had company until she noticed a shadow cross her path. Ugh, Ian. Her instinct was to run off to safety, but something kept her rooted in place. If he tried anything gross, she could always levitate him upside down and make an escape.

That boy had scarred her for life.

"Mermaid chick... That's me. So what's up?" Hopefully nothing gross.

Ian held on to a string of hope that perhaps this wasn’t Mermaid Chick after all, but hair that red couldn’t belong to anyone else. And sure enough, she confirmed his suspicions. He raised an eyebrow at her and crossed his arms, all earlier admiration gone.

Ignoring her question, he asked, “What are you doing walking up and down like a stray cat?”

...Had she done something wrong without meaning to?

Lux wasn't really concerned with whether or not Ian liked her, but his posture was giving the impression that he didn't care for her. That was rather strange given how HE was the one who had seriously grossed HER out with his indecency. And wait, what?? Stray cat?? Was her model walk really that bad??

"I was working on my model walk. Do you think I'd make a bad model?" Justine had told her she would do amazing, but she was her friend... What if that had been a lie to make her feel good about herself.

Ian raiiiiised one eyebrow so high it disappeared in his curly, dark blond hair. …Model walk? Did she say model walk? Without even thinking about it, he snorted loudly. “What are you modeling for, the Vatican?” Seriously, Mermaid Chick a model? In what planet? Sure, she was hot, but even he knew there was more to it than just looking good. Like, IDK, not being so uptight about people peeing in lakes.

He suddenly looked serious when she asked his opinion.
“Well if you’re going to be walking like that, then yeah, you’d make a crap model.” He paused for a moment, suddenly seeming thoughtful. “You’re moving too… stiff."

Ian's snort wasn't helping matters. Now Lux was sure that she wasn't doing the walk right. As a perve, this boy surely paid attention to lots of models and as such would know how they were supposed to present themselves.

She was not offended; a learning opportunity had presented itself and she would take it even if the teacher was disgusting and peed in lakes. "Okay, I'm too stiff. Can you help me move better?" She would still be in her guard, but she was willing to give the boy another shot if he behaved. Maybe they could become friends.

Ian raised the other eyebrow now. This girl sure asked a lot of random things. First his opinion on modeling, now she wanted him to help her move. How do you even begin to teach a person how to move their own body?! That was supposed to be a natural thing.

Still, her cry for help filled the boy with an unusual feeling; a sense of importance rose within him. It wasn't very often people asked him to help with anything since he wasn't particularly good at... well, anything. But this he actually knew something about; mostly from watching the Victoria's Secret runway shows with his sister.

"You gotta let go." He uncrossed his arms and wiggled them a bit for her to copy. "Just relax. Don't think about the walk, think... think about the guy you like and walking up to him, trying to make an impression." He wasn't sure she'd get it. She looked too innocent. Some girls were just naturals in the art of flirting and Mermaid Chick didn't strike him as one.

"Just... look." He walked away from her, further down the shore. Suddenly, he stopped, made a dramatic 180-degree turn, whipping his curly hair about, and strutted back toward the girl. He lifted his legs high with each step, hips swaying side to side in a hilariously accurate impersonation of the female form. His gaze was focused and mean and, as he caught up to her, he stopped abruptly, popping one hip to the side with one hand resting on it in the most sassy of stands.

"...Like that." He pretended to flip invisible long hair over one shoulder.

For a moment Lux thought that Ian was going to laugh in her face and walk off, but nope. Looked like he was actually going to help her.

THANK MERLIN because she needed it.

Trying hard not to snort as she watched him wiggle his arms around, the redhead mimicked the gesture. Her arms had a mind of their own and she would just let them do what they wanted. WEEEEEE. Letting go was actually kind of fun even if it looked a little silly.

As Ian walked away then demonstrated the walk to her, Lux took careful note of it. Okay, so she was going to pretend that she was doing it for Bay and she didn't NEED to make an impression on him because she loved her...but since it was for practice she would to help make it more authentic.

Okayyyy, trying this whole model walk thing again. "Is this better?"

Ian crossed his arms and watched Mermaid Chick go. He furrowed his brow with surprising concentration - who knew the boy was capable of being serious for five straight minutes? For once, he was actually thinking about something other than how great a girl’s bum looked walking away from him.

“…Better. Yes. But still too frigid. Don’t do it like it’s a chore or military practice. You gotta feel it,” he said, cupping his hands as if he was holding an invisible orb of feeeeeeling between them. “Go again. This time try smiling and taking longer steps."

So it was better but still needed more work. Lux was pleased to hear that because improvement was always a good thing and she had become better with just one runway walk.

"Got it!" She gave a big SMILE - which was always easy for her - and this time she worked on taking longer steps while working to impress Bay even though he wasn't there. At the end she popped her hip to one side like a pro.

So what did Ian think of it that time?

So, Gabe was trying something new. And while he would usually pale at the thought, it wasn't going to be too terrible. There was an Astronomy assignment due soon and a few people had expressed interest in completing it together. Toby and Caleb had both agreed to join him...and that was all he needed, really. The other participants wouldn't matter too much...as long as he could surround himself with familiarity.

That was probably why he'd also invited Culloden and Flamsteed. Both professors he respected a great deal..and who had taught him valuable lessons. And they weren't of the opposite gender. The girl population at Hogwarts was slowly suffocating this particular Banner. Slowly, but surely. There was only so much he could stand...and it wasn't getting any easier...Especially with certain developments.

Carrying his school bag...as well as another (with an undetectable expansion charm in place), Gabe trudged out to the Lake. Lakeside. What better place to stargaze?...other than the observatory? Unfortunately, that seemed too mainstream for him these days. Everyone went there...meaning...Gabes would be scarce.

Anyway, all that was left was waiting for the others. Who else would come?

So he had heard that a whole big group was getting together to attack the Astronomy homework all at once. And though he wasn't really close to some-- well, actually- he wasn't really close to most of the people in the group... What better way to do the homework, you know? Especially since he was sure they'd be smart about it so he could always watch and learn.

Besides, he really didn't have to work with them, if they'd rather just keep to their original group or something. Zander didn't mind working alone. And the lake was one of his absolute favorite places, though the Astronomy tower would have been less of a walk. Actually, why had he come out here again?

... Probably to avoid the crowd? Maybe. Eh, he wasn't entirely sure what his thought process was, but the important part was that he was here now and there was no turning back. Oh, a Banner. "Uh, hi Gabe." Fellow Prefect and all. "Are you here to do the Astronomy homework as well?" Well, duh. He was one of the groupies that had been planning this whole thing. But Zander was just tagging along, so for all he knew... Besides, why else would anyone be out here while the sky was so dark? Only made sense.

Cosgrach walked to the lake in his winter coat (the nights were still chilly) with Gabe's letter in his hand. Not that he needed it for anything, but he didn't know anything about this assignment, and he probably subconsciously hoped it would reveal more. Not that he minded - he would also get to stargaze. The real question was: would he get to look through a telescope? He hoped so. He hadn't touched one since... he didn't even remember.

He lit his wand as he neared the lake to see better and... look, Gabe and... Zander. Heh. He smiled at both of them as he greeted them with a "Hello, boys." He looked around, but they were the only ones.

"Will anyone else come?"

Gabe was simply gathering wood for a fire...and by 'just gathering', he was essentially performing a lot of Accio!'s due to substantial FEAR. There was NO WAY he'd go anywhere near the Forbidden Forest. Never again. So, yes...the summoning charm FTW.

His co-Prefect and....someone that had also seen the Forest horror, Zander Adair, arrived first and Gabe offered a minuscule smile. Or...if it could really be called a smile. More like an awkward acknowledging mouth!tilt. And...no, he hadn't remembered inviting Zander...but Gabe didn't mind. The more people, the better...in this situation. Surrounding himself in the event something terrible happened. Zander was a Gryffindor. They were a braver lot than he was.

"Yes....Would you like to....?"...help with this? Gabe gestured towards the little fire pit he'd created. Sorting through the wood already collected, he started positioning the pieces; using the busy work to focus his mind. He'd been different since 'the incident'. Noticeably different, some could say.

...and Professor Culloden. Gabriel felt much better after seeing him. For reasons.

"Toby and Caleb mentioned they might come, sir."...and Lux Carrington, along with whoever she'd invited. Not to mention...Coral would be joining him whenever she was finished. Gabriel HOPED, anyway.

"Professor Flamsteed and Professor Millard might be around, as well." Supervision. Lots of it. They would be okay for the night.....right?

There was supposed to be a group assembling to do the Astronomy homework, and there was no way that Lux would miss out on it. She had even invited Puck to join her because she was awesome and someone always fun to work with.

Making her way over to the lake, Lux spotted some people assembled including Professor Culloden. Well, that was something unexpected and nice since that man was a huge sweetheart. Waving, she made her way over to everyone. "Hey, guys! You all ready to look at some stars? How are you, Professor?" He was going to be working with them, right? Because the more the merrier in her opinion and stars were super pretty so everyone should enjoy looking at them.

It hadn't gone unnoticed to Dot that she was being included with the older kids in this particular outing, although she was savvy enough to know it had more to do with the fact that Gabe was doing the inviting and he was less scared of her than other girls, rather than the fact that she was mature and cool and well liked by older kids.

She was still skipping as she approached the burgeoning fire by the lake, giving the professor and Gabe a hip level finger-wiggle wave as soon as they were in sight. This was homework, though, Dottie, and she needed to focus on homeworky business. She plopped down just a foot or so away from Gabe and carefully tucked her legs politely underneath her.

"So. Stars, right? Crazy."

While the temptation to wear his Star Trek pajamas was strong, there was still a professional air he needed to give off under these circumstances and thus refrained. Any other term and he may have...but not this term. Making his way down to the grounds with his now ceremonial smore making kit in one hand and a backpack containing extra blankets and thermoses of hot water to be used to make hot chocolate or tea or coffee, the Astronomy professor approached the fire with an eager look about his face.

He was purely here to supervise, not help with the stargazing and finding of constellations. That was their assignment, after all. Although he would certainly either confirm or deny a student's claim to finding one.

"Good evening," he announced, giving the group an enthusiastic salute. "Brought the goods." And he gave the box a little wave. Enough for 36 individual smores. And yes, he had finally remembered not to call them schmoes.
