How did there get to be so much stuff in his bag? All that last-minute packing he'd done this morning had really made his life harder in the sense that he couldn't find his dang money.

After a minute of searching, Kody's fingers finally closed around the small bag of coins. "There it- ow!" He looked up, coming face-to-face with a girl. That, and the fact that she was apologizing to him, probably meant that she had been the one to step on him.

"Oh." Well, he couldn't get mad at her. It was an accident. "No, it's okay. Don't worry about it." He glanced around then back at the girl. "So..." he said, lowering his voice. "Do you think these guys are in line, or what?"

It was almost Josie's turn. Oh goodness, the pressure was really getting to her, it was making her difficult decision only more complicated & making the fourteen year old stress out even more. Why was this becoming so complicated?!

ONE MORE PERSON & she would be up!

As she was getting closer, she heard someone behind her speak. She froze where she was & slowly turned to look behind her, then she looked down a bit to see it was a boy speaking to her. She asked softly, "S-Sorry, I-I didn't catch that?"

Aegis moved forward to the Food Trolley. Why was he even coming here? He ate Healthy. No Candy for him unless it was for a Special Occasion....AH OF COURSE! Today was his Big Day. Being Sixteen was spectacular! So he stood behind some freckled kid and looked forward to his Special Birthday Treat. "Excuse me? Would you mind if I skipped ahead of you?" He asked politely, also kinda pushing himself forward a bit like he was going to anyways. "Today is my Birthday" He then nodded reassuringly.

He had never tried this before. Using his Birthday for things. It was a tad immature, but better to knock it off the list now then be Thirty-Five and never get the chance to use the Birthday Advantage.

So how far ahead was it now......oooh wow. She was pretty. "Yes excuse me. M'Lady." Aegis changed his tone very quickly for the Girl in front of him from kind of whiny to being rather suave, and charming. "I was thinking of moving ahead so that I might treat myself to some delicacies of the sweets" He looked again at her. "Of course I'd share them with you. How could I not?" He fit the tips of his fingers into his pockets and was looking at nothing else but the girl now.

He TECHNICALLY could have taken the money but it wasn't- OH CINNA!!!!! Beaming the brown haired boy didn't have a chance to say anything before he was pulled into a hug. No that he minded of course. Squishing the Gryffindor back he took a few small breaths as she let go.

"It was awesome! I did so many cartwheels I can do them with my eyes closed. And splits! And I got a sister." So COOL Summer. Holding the sickle out once more he watched her take it. "What about yours?"

......And give the money back? Kyroh blinked. "Why just Dot? Did she tell you she really wanted Candy??" Was Dot having a bad day again?

He wanted to ask MORE but a voice from behind grabbed his attention. "Uhhhh." Before he could blink the blond boy behind him pushed himself in front and began talking to Cinna.

"Excuse me! I need proof that it's really your birthday!" How'd he know he wasn't just taking his spot and LYING?

Eppp. She hadn't seen Kyroh all summer and didn't see him much of him at all last term either. He was missed a bunch by her. They needed to do tons of cartwheels this term. Yes.

He got a sister?

"I got a brother. It was great. I got to watch my boyfriend play quidditch. And my best friend spent the whole summer at my house." Mostly because her aunt was her new step mom. So her and Emmy was basically her cousin now. Which was awesome.

"No she didn't tell me. Hey now that is my money." Cinna laughed. "But yeah girls* always likes getting candy.." Especially pretty boys.

Oh, Was he offering her free candy? He was offering her free candy. But at a price. His charm was tempting but..... "Nope." She was going to mess with this cutie for a bit. Ha Dot should be here. For Educational purposes only, of course. She did have a boyfriend.

Proof? Oh Dang....right he would need that wouldn't he? This one was a smartie wasn't he? A Claw Probably, he was warned about those ones. Though he always passed it off as crazy talk himself. "Okay, Proof." Aegis said as he patted himself down for anything to show. "Ah well see, I can't prove that. We're complete Strangers. So you'll just to take my word on it." He nodded down to him, yup no Proof is proof enough...that can be used in this situation yeah? Besides he was in the process of wowing a pretty Gi...."Nope?" Wow...he was normally better at this. He looked a bit shocked by her response and took his hands out of his pockets. No one was this difficult. Well Agatha was, but she wasn't here. Oh he should go find Agatha too!

He put his hand to his mouth and coughed a fake cough just to recompose himself. "Are you sure?" He said regaining his suave voice. "I'm sure you'd enjoy some delicious Chocolate... if I could just move forward a bit. I'd get a pretty lady such as yourself whatever kind she wanted."

AH OF COURSE SHE WAS TALKING TO FRECKLES HERE!! He should include him! That'd show how caring he was right? "I'll even let Freckles, pick some out too." He gestured his hand over to the kid that was to his side. Look like the Hero Aegis. YOU'RE DOING IT!!

Brian smiled in gratitude at the guy who showed up to defend him. He was defending him, right? Or was he defending her? That was a very vague statement. He was picking a very good strategy, not picking either one of them to defend. Not that Brian would do anything to him, but the crazy girl probably would.

Anyway, that statement about being related to Queen Bey? Brian wasn't buying it. Instead, he just raised an eyebrow in question and shrugged. "Even if you were, it doesn't put you above the thing we call queueing-"

"What on earth is a CANARY CREAM?!"

He was not that short...okay maybe he was compared to his brother and his freaky tall friends. But he thought he was average height for his age. Not that he checked or anything.

Waste of time.

Plus why was there a line for this trolley. Dante would never know. Oh, she did not hear him. Well okay then. Let's try something else. Dante put on a huge smile and asked. "Can you get me a chocolate frog, please. I must have left my money in my luggage"

Free Food would be cool.

Okay, so, Eden wasn't heartless, and she didn't LIKE making people sad--so MERLIN--when Lux asked her THAT--"No! Not at all." She said, and she softened her features and met the girl's gaze. "You just surprised me is all. I didn't expect to see anyone I felt like talking to here." Did...she feel like talking to Lux? Even if she didn't--she wasn't so mean to admit it to the girl's FACE. Merlin.

Stepping up to the trolley, she pulled out her bag of money and paid for a pumpkin juice and just a chocolate frog--it's all she had enough for anyways. Glancing back at Lux, "So...how's it going?"

Awkward.

The last time they'd talk had been.....well...Eden had been a jerk head. She should have gotten Lux something. Oops. She wasn't giving up her chocolate frog, either.

Cinna got a brother?!? Kyroh beamed at this. So she understood how cool it was to be an older sibling TOO. It also sounded like she had a jam packed summer but he really couldn't say anything about that with the boy bugging them now.

He shoved the sickle into his pocket quickly, so he wouldn't lose it before they got to the front of the line. "But I have a friend - her name is Candice, and she is allergic to candy." So...technically.....that wasn't true Cinna!

And ALSO technically you did NOT just take a STRANGERS word.

The boy was trying to by pass him with NO proof just because he was older. And that wasn't okay! Kyroh rocked forward so he could stand on his tippy toes, and dug his eyes at the blond. He was NOT going to get away with that OR-Freckles!?!?

His face softened for a second before instantly hardening again. He had just made this WORSE. "Only Maddie is allowed to call me that. And Cinna doesn't even want your chocolate or your flirting." Because that's what the other boy was doing right? Flirting? He wasn't sure of the technicalities but it seemed sorta like it.

It was nice to see that fake smile leave Eden's face, but Lux still had a feeling that the other girl wasn't very happy to see her. Maybe it was the memory of being called a self righteous PufferPunk, Lux had no idea. Ehhh, regardless she supposed that it might be best to roll with it and see what happened.

Maybe her and Eden could become good friends. Maybe the Ravenclaw just needed hugs, and well...her hugs were magical. It would probably be weird to try NOW, as well as awkward, so she would wait for a better moment. Maybe one where Eden wasn't acting so strange.

After paying for some Chocolate Frogs, she eagerly unwrapped one and ate it before it had a chance to escape. "I'm doing alright. I just miss my boyfriend is all. How are you?"

"Delusional is the right word" Noel added with a grin because yeah. It was FUN to tease this yearbook girl who was ALWAYS so good at taking photographs. Did she know? He was jealous, yes. She probably knew it.

Canary creams?

Nope. "I prefer pumpkin pasties, yep" he said, grabbing some and paying for it.

"I have no idea, buddy. Here try these!" he offered the pumpkin pasties he had just bought. "It is probably something 'delusional queens' eat" Grin.

Above queueing? What was queueing?

Oh wait. That was like British for being on a line. Super weird. The Gryffindor didn't care though she needed those canary creams to watch people turn into birds, snap pretty awesome pics of it, and use it for either blackmail or yearbook. And what was the Hufflepuff saying about delusional?!

Scoffing, Bianca tossed her hair over her shoulder.

"Aight. I'mma tell you how it is," she said grabbing a canaray cream off of the cart despire the lady's protests. She signaled that she'd pay for it later and held it out to the little kid. "It tastes yummy and you get a surprise at the end."

So take a bite. Bianca was dying to see something happen. Then she looked back at the older boy.

"I know you Noel Wallace and you are on yearbook and I am above you and you ought to RESPECT MY QUEENESS. Also, have a canary cream."

Brian liked this guy. He seemed fun. Was he in the fun house at Hogwarts? He'd heard about their houses and stuff, but he wasn't sure how many there were or if a 'fun' house was even a thing. Pumpkin pasties? Okay. That sounded relatively safe.

"Thanks," he said, taking one. For some reason, Brian could imagine that there was a lot of pumpkin in his near future.



This one, however, Brian was a little less fond of. The fact that it was called a canary cream in the first place was suspicious. Also, he didn't see her eating one. Nope. She just seemed to be shoving them in other people's faces.

Brian squinted at her for a second and then shook his head. "I don't trust you," he said bluntly before turning to the other guy there. "Do you trust her?"

Good, he wasn't mad. Evie gave him a small grin. That was easy.

She eyed the group of people she assumed he was talking about. "If they are... they're not anymore." And then she sliiiid herself in front of them in line without any of them noticing. She looked back at the boy and gestured for him to join her in line.

"Come on, you have to show me what's good on here. I'm new." So she didn't know much about this train or all these goodies.

Josie looked at the boy & had come to the conclusion that she had not spoken to him before. But she did recall seeing him last term, perhaps passing by one another in the halls or corridors.

Wait, was that he had said originally?

To be honest, she gave a slightly puzzled look as she tried to process this question, along with the question of asking a total stranger to buy him a chocolate frog. If her father had been there at that moment, she knew he would've told the boy to get lost or to scram, and for a split moment the fourteen year old felt tempted to lie to the boy so she wouldn't have to be harsh like her father would've been, but she couldn't.

She paused before Josie said softly, "U-Um..I-I think I-I might be able to buy you one.." Opening her bag, she took a moment to look for some more galleons that would enable her to buy another one for the younger boy. Just as she found the extra change, it was her turn & she paused before asking for three chocolate frogs. Handing the Trolley Woman the required amount, she thanked her. After the completed purchase, she turned to the boy & offered him two of the three with a soft smile.

So he did know of most of the candy being displayed. He picked up a box of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans and handed them over to the girl before grabbing one for himself so as to not look suspicious.

"Here. Take this. They're just jelly beans, yeah? Very good." He grabbed a handful of chocolate frogs for good measure and paid for everything. He was set. Such a healthy breakfast.

Eden had to keep a lot of things in her head at the moment. She was doing some serious Ravenclaw'ing. And she had, so previously, thought she didn't belong in the house? HA. Now she felt like she wouldn't be at home anywhere else. Right now, though, she really needed to steer her thoughts. And hold her tongue. And...just be nice, for Merlin's sake.

"AHh. Bay." Right. The seventh year. Only he was graduated and gone now. "You can still send him letters. And he can visit during Hogsmeade," she offered, kindly, taking a sip of her pumpkin juice quickly. "Don't think about it too much." The kid still had.....a few more years left at Hogwarts, though. Eesh. It would be rough to keep the long distance going that long--BUT--it was possible. And Eden thought it prudent to be positive here, instead of negative. "I also think that you and Bay seem like you two can handle this--" she said with a nod. Now was now the time to quote statistics on how many long distance relationships really lasted....nope.

Right.

She was happy with herself for being nice right now. Really.

Awwww, Eden was being so nice. Maybe Lux had been wrong about the Ravenclaw, though she still got some weird vibes.

Nodding, she knew that it was true her and Bay would still talk and everything would work out. She had no worries about them breaking up due to the long distance. "We got two-way mirrors so we can talk, but this is my first train ride without him." He was the first person she had met while traveling to Hogwarts at the start of her Second Year.

She missed her Lion so much.

So now that they were all caught up on their summer happens. She smiled at him, and wondered if Dot was going to get a brother or a sister. She made a mental note to ask her later. Did this dude really expect them to believe that it was really his birthday? No poof? Ha likely story. She eyed him, he was lying.

She turned back to Kyroh. Allergic to candy oh boy that would not sit well with her at all. "Well you definitely don't want to give her candy in that case. Flowers or food is always nice too." She liked that stuff too.

"Yes. I'm sure." More eyeing was happening. "I can get my own thank you." She was only going to keep this a little longer. She was totally cashing in on free candy. Could she get it and not give up her spot in line? She liked this deal better.

Oh look it was her turn in line. Annnnd dude shall not pass. Except for a bunch of peppermint toads.

"And I know you Bianca Caruso, pffft - you are not ABOVE me. You are a senior, that is all. Which means - you are getting older while I still am in my precious youth" He said, sticking out his tongue just for good measure.

"Don't do it, kid!" he warned the little boy. Noel could SEE she was upto something, there was just something in her eyes.

Noel decided this was a really awesome kid the moment he said he didn't trust the pretend Queenie. Patting the kid on his back in appreciation, he shook his head: "Nope, I don't trust her, kid. And goood for you that you don't either" HAHAHA.

Oh. He was new too. Evie snorted to herself. "Guess we're on the same page, then." But he seemed familiar with the food on the trolley. And Evie wasn't completely lost, there were just a lot of sweets her mom had held back from her.

"Just jelly beans?" Evie gave him a look, holding up the box. Very good? "I said I was new, not stupid." Just saying. Har har. Evie put the box of beans back onto HIS pile of goodies. Then she grabbed a pastry and a few chocolates and paid for her own things.

Her mom would be so disappointed. It was exciting.

So she knew about the beans, then. Shame. Kody was hoping to have some fun, but apparently that wasn't going to happen. He bought the box she added to the rest of his treats, though, without argument. He liked them, personally. If you ate enough at once it wasn't too hard to mask the disgusting flavors with tastier ones.

"So you're not exciting," he commented casually. Just saying. He popped open a chocolate frog and bit the head off before continuing. "Why don't you tell me about yourself? What's your name? How old are you?"

And, since he was asking her these questions, Kody figured his should probably give up some information about himself, too. "I'm Kody Phillips. Just moved here."

Not exciting? Pff. "I am exciting. You just need new tricks." That wasn't her fault. Evie unwrapped her pastry and stepped off to the side of the trolley to get out of the way of the others.

Nibbling on it, she considered his question until her mouth was empty. She was polite, after all. "I'm Evie. I'm fifteen. I was homeschooled by my mom, but it was boring and I don't have any friends." She shrugged.

"Nice to meet you." Kody. She'd have to remember that. He was kinda funny.
