Professor Glendower hates to wait, but she knows sometimes it's a necessity. And as such, she has installed a fun and comfortable place to wait for her if you need to see her in her office. In a corner near the door is large and squishy hammock, filled with big fluffy pillows, and is roomy enough to fit several people.
Knock on the door and have a seat. The Professor will be with you shortly!
OOC - Please post here first and wait to be invited in before posting in her office, thanks!
Agatha fixed her hair as she made her way to first floor. It was a good thing that the History of Magic classroom wasn't too far up. Although it would be totally fine if it were anyway because Agatha was super FIT.
Hair flip.
That was sort of the reason why she was there anyway, since she needed to discuss some things with professor Glendower about her own lessons and etc.
The ballerina knocked on the office door and took a step back to wait for an answer.

Nessa had a bit of downtime just then so she was in her office choreographing a new dance. It was a favorite pastime of hers and she had decided to put on her tap shoes while she took the silencing charm off of her fwooper, Ophelia. She found it necessary to do that from time to time to keep the bird from getting too fussy and she hated to have to squash the poor dear's natural inclination to sing. And Ophelia was always so happy when she could sing!
It was to the rhythm of the fwooper song that Nessa was creating her new tap dance, complete with interpretive arm movements. It might have looked a bit chaotic to the outsider, but she knew it went well with the song. It wasn't long afterwards that she heard a knock on her door. Grabbing her wand, she turned to her bird with an apologetic smile. "Sorry, Ophelia, we'll have to put a pin in our performance." With a wave of her wand, she recast the silencing charm and skipped over to the door.
With a flourish, she swung the door opened and peered outside to see who was there. "Oh! Hello, Agatha," she beamed at the girl. "What brings you by today?"

Morgana, it did take professor Glendower a while to answer the door. If only she were more like professor Flamste--
Oh, that's why! The woman was wearing her tap shoes. She was DANCING. She was forgiven then. "Hi, professor." Agatha smiled at her, happy to see she wasn't the only one who danced whenever she could. "I wanted to discuss with you things about my ballet lessons." She'd go into more details once they were both inside the office. "Do you have the time now?"

"I'm looking forward to seeing your ballet lessons get started!" she said, still grinning happily. How wonderful that there were like-minded students who enjoyed creative forms of expression! She would be happy to offer her assistance or her room or anything else that was needed. She just wished there was more opportunity for creative outlet.
"Oh, yes, of course!" she said, opening the door a little wider and stepping out of the way. "Come on in!"

Beverly had had in my to go down to the dungeons to get her Head of House, but what if Gregoire got hurt before she made it there and back? And professor Bellaire was up on the sixth floor. She would NOT have that swimming around in her conscience and make her feel guilty.
Chewing on the inside of her cheek, Beverly took a last moment turn, ending up at the door of the History of Magic professor. She knocked on it twice, then twice more, the latter set a bit more urgent.

Anyone here?
Nessa had a bit of downtime today and so she took the opportunity to stretch out on the small sofa in her office and read. And her genre of choice today was a romance novel, one that swept her imagination away a bit.
She was soon snapped out of her reverie by some knocking at her door. Nessa looked up for a moment, then furrowed her brow as more knocking followed. Hmm.. sounded almost urgent.. and she hopped up from the couch once she put her book down.
"Oh, hello, Beverly!" she smiled brightly at the prefect once she opened the door and saw the girl standing there. "What can I do for you today, dear?"

She was here, yes!
Beverly let out a breath and composed herself. No need to look urgent. It was just Gregoire...who'd taken a plunge into the swamp.
"Hello, Professor," she greeted first before jumping to business. "Well..." she knotted her hands, "I was wondering how safe the swamp is to, oh, I don't know, take a swim in?" Maybe it wasn't as bad as it looked and she was over reacting. "Because a housemate of mine just jumped in there and..."
Was he going to be okay or did they need the swimming squad to come get him?

Nessa was still smiling somewhat broadly as she waited for Beverly to speak, her smile faltering considerably as she noticed how nervous the prefect seemed to be. Whatever could be wrong? She furrowed her brow a bit as she listened.
"....swamp?" she repeated, somewhat bemused. Was the girl thinking about swimming in there? There were much better places to swim, she thought - the lake, maybe even the prefect's bathtub.. unless she just really had that much of an inquisitive nature that she needed to explore it. And that was not something that she'd discourage, but she did open her mouth to question that, quickly shutting it again as Beverly continued.
"Oh." Nessa stepped out of her doorway and into the corridor, craning her neck as she looked towards the swamp. Hmm, she didn't remember seeing it so clearly from her office before. "I didn't really think it was big enough to swim in.." she mused aloud as she continued looking at it. Maybe wade in, but even then she wasn't sure why anybody would want to. She just attributed it to that inquisitive nature that her housemate must have.
"I don't think there is anything dangerous in there," she said, taking a step in that direction. "But why did your housemate jump in?" Maybe she should at least check things out to make sure everything was alright.

Not dangerous, okay.
Beverly nodded slowly, drying her clammy hands on her robes. Stupid Gregoire for making her all nervous and...worry. Why had her housemate jumped in? Because he was probably missing part of his brain or had been dropped on his head when he was an infant.
"Because...he thinks there's something in there that caused the flooding and is trying to be Hogwarts' knight in shining armor," she mumbled, twisting the fabric on her robes between her fingers. She was feeling silly for coming here the way she did.
"So he'll be okay?" she asked just to make sure. The last thing she wanted was another trip to the Headmistress' office.
Clutching the sheet music close to his body, Cutty Mordaunt made his way to Professor Glendower's office. He'd noticed a pattern, you see. That the way she liked to greet them whenever they held a class was with a song. A not just any songs, but songs that were upbeat and light and that usually contained the word 'happy' somewhere in the lyrics. So when he found this muggle treasure of a ditty after searching for muggle things with which to impress his concubine he took it upon himself to remove the pages and bring forth his findings thusly.
"Good afternoon, Professor Glendower. Prefect Wayne." He greeted ignorantly as he knew not what he walked in on.
Still listening to Beverly's explanation as she spoke, Nessa kept her eyes further down the corridor, focusing on the smallish figure gradually getting larger as it approached. "Is it.. flooding?" She squinted a bit as her eyes left the figure and looked more purposefully to the swamp. It did indeed look bigger, but flooding was new to her. And a little concerning. "Well, it is a magical swamp.." They did know the history of the swamp, yes? "It's likely a magical reason.. and I'm not sure one that would be found at the bottom of it," she mused. But how very inquisitive of the Slytherin.. whoever he may be.
And knight in shining armor was such a sweet sentiment, one she could certainly appreciate, and she couldn't help the fain smile as she looked back to Beverly. "Hmm? Oh, yes, I would think so.. but perhaps we should go see to make sure.. Just which of your housemates was it?"
Was it Cutty Mordaunt? Brown eyes snapped to him as he drew nearer and became a recognizable figure, and she gave him a small smile in greeting, though she peered at him closely. He didn't appear to be wet and she didn't discern a noticeable swamp odor emanating from him. Though she supposed he could have cast a hot air charm on himself before he made it down the corridor and while she was speaking with Beverly. "Hello, Cutty," she said, smiling a bit wider, though her eyes remained curious. "You didn't happen to just be in the swamp, did you?" If it wasn't him, they should probably head that way, just to make sure all was well.

Beverly punched his arm. It was an automatic thing her arm did before she even registered what she'd done. A best mate's thing, you know. And she'd done it in front of a professor...crud. "That's..." she paused, rubbing Cutty's arm and linking her arm around his. "Uhm, that's how we say hi." Right, Mordaunt? Right. It was also a I've-missed-your-face punch.
Turning back to the subject at hand, Beverly nodded. "The swamp seems to be flooding." She glanced down the corridor. "Really flooding. I thought it wasn't a big deal but Gregoire, the boy who's trying to 'save' us, is certain someone's at fault so he went to investigate." Pausing again, she rubbed the back of her neck with her free hand. "I just wanted to make sure he'd be okay 'cause I need to go...do something else." Being responsible was a pain in the behind. A bigger pain when people made it difficult.

And where has Cutty been? He owed her sweets.
"Yer mean we're not doin' the kissin' thing anymore? Or have we changed it to hitting because Professor Glendower is here. Are yer ashamed of me, Beverly? Are yer ashamed?" He asked jokingly to embarrass Wayne and have a little fun at her expense. But only a little. "Joshing! It is how we say 'hi' and 'bye' too, I think." Although, after this, he had a feeling that 'good-bye' might now be changed to the very same gesture only done in the face.
"I wasn't in the swamp, no, Professor. The Swamp might have wanted me to be in it, though, judging by the way it was sort of outpouring from it's previous constraints." It was sort of flooding, though it didn't stop Cutty from charming an Elizabethan seat into carrying him across. It was far too early into making his rounds to have to head back to the dungeons to change. Maybe he'd start carrying extras. Wouldn't hurt to occasionally trick the odd first year or so into polyjuicing as him. You never know when you'll need a good alibi. "I'm that irresistible, though. So it's totally understandable." Although, he didn't for a minute believe that he was behind the swelling of the swamp. He hid his curiousity as best he could, though behind the believable veneer of teenaged arrogance and conceit.
Nessa was awfully surprised when Beverly suddenly punched Cutty in the arm as he approached. But as it appeared to be more playful than anything as she looked between them, her concerned expression relaxed considerably. Kissing thing though..? Nessa tilted her head and looked at them both curiously. How sweet. They must be dating or something. She soon smiled sweetly at the two Slytherins and nodded as they said something about their normal greetings. "Of course.."
Now.. where were they? Right. The swamp. "Hmm, that is interesting," she murmured as her eyes drifted towards the swamp down the corridor again. It did seem quite a bit bigger so it was possible that it was flooding.. but why? "I'll try to keep an eye on it. Maybe a little flooding isn't a big deal, but if it continues, I suppose we'll have to figure out what is going on with it." But for now, she just wanted to make sure Gregoire wasn't drowning. As far as she knew, there wasn't anything dangerous there.
"Hmm.. oh.. oh, yes, dear, thank you for coming to let me know.." Of course the prefect would have other duties to tend to once she made sure things were taken care of with this. That was completely understandable and Nessa shot Beverly an appreciative smile before she turned again to Cutty.
No.. she now knew that it wasn't him who was in the swamp. But he seemed to have noticed its flooding as well. "It was outpouring? At a noticeable or alarming rate? Or just somewhat bigger than usual?" She supposed size was all relative, but it might help figure out what was going on and if it should be troubling at all. "Is that why you came down to see me today.. or was there something else I could help you with?" She certainly didn't want to neglect her students if they needed her assistance.

"Erhm, well...It's a bit hard to say the movement of others walking near and around it gave it constant motion so it could have been gaining more water, but in tehrms of it's size it only seemed a bit bigger than before. Yer could possibly walk around it if yer had to." He said, trying to explain. "I actually came to share soomethin' I found fer yer and yer classes, Professor Glendower."
"If yer want to go check on Gregoire, I can wait. He's probably gotten himself out by now. He lives for daring. He's a wizard's wizard." It was like this last year with Ethan too. Gregoire was a situation. Still, it wouldn't hurt to make sure.

Hmm. Nessa's eyes wandered back towards the swamp and she nodded slowly in thought as Cutty spoke. "Yes.. that's what I had thought too," she murmured aloud, as if it were unclear if she was speaking to Cutty or to herself. At any rate, it was somewhat mysterious.
"Oh! You did?" Nessa was suddenly snapped out of her reverie at the boy's statement, rather interested in what he might have to say. "What did you have to share?" she asked, smiling widely.
Right.. right.. She probably should go check on Gregoire, just to make sure the boy was alright. She felt a responsibility to do that anyway. "Maybe he has.. but I think I would feel better if we knew for sure." Especially since Miss Wayne seemed quite concerned. "Why don't you walk with me and we can talk?" He wouldn't mind that, would he? Especially since he came to see her anyway.. and it wasn't all that far away.
