The Eagles sit under a beautiful navy and bronze banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. The food will arrive after the Headmistress' traditional feast speech. To all Ravenclaws, both new and old: enjoy the feast!

Everyone had possible boyfriends. It was kind of cute really. At least for the older students. Anyway, conversation.
"It was fun! How was your summer?" Yeah, the curly haired girl didn't know the others name. But still. That could happen later. Going to take a refreshing sip of water, the twelve year old noticed she was out and poured herself another cup full. Because hydration. And water was also great for shifting moods and such. Except for the fact that she as really going to have to go to the bathroom later. The twelve year old took a sip of water and then put the goblet on the table, twirling a thick strand of hair around her index finger.
Her mother always said that this was a way to curl her hair, and that she did it too often when she was child and now it was stuck like that. However, Ophelia's hair just seemed to keep curling. It was wavy not too long ago, and then out of nowhere it just curled up. Not crazy curls, thankfully, but it did make doing your hair harder.
Abby smiled at Ophelia and said "My summer was not too bad thanks, very quiet spent time at Diagon Alley but other than that i had my nose in many books" Abby sure did read a lot over the summer
Tyler looked at her and smiled. I'm glad that your happy to be back, how was your summer? Tyler asked her softly but curiously. I'm sure that this year is going to be better than last year, lets just say last year wasn't that great! said Tyler honestly before sighing. "One thing that was great about last year was meeting you, I wished I would've met you sooner, but I guess later is better than never! "said Tyler softly but honestly.
Abby smiled at Tyler and said "Well my summer was pretty quiet, but i did get a lot of reading done and yeah i am hoping so but yeah i am glad to have met you as well and yes i wished it could have happened earlier as well but we are together now"

She was feeling down from some of the things Cutty had said--on top of some of the things she was already feeling from the journey back to school. But no matter. She was sure to see her best friend here.
She spotted Josie right off the bat--HI. Eden waved and smiled at the girl-so sweet, she was. Thornton did, too--cute little firstie second-y...all the younger ones were adorable. Eden couldn't get enough of them. "Hey Tobes, Sophie--" she saluted them both, winking at Toby because he was COOL like that. SHe'd be so heart broken if she had KNOWN he had broken Phillip--but she didn't know, and so she could live on in PEACEFUL bliss. "Kyroh--" she saluted him, too. Speaking of----she had a gift for him, but she'd probably give him the gift when they got back to the common room.
She spotted a new student[JANELLE], though, who had no one by her--hmm--she looked rather familiar--"hey--" she said, smiling as she took a seat near her--and look--Clara--Eden gestured her friend over. But she turned to the little one for a minute. "Hey there--how's it going?" she asked kindly. Trying to smile and be NICE. Because she remembered how scared she was her first feast......last YEAR. And she had been fifteen at the time, too!
Clara looked nervous. Eden beckoned her over and sighed. "Where've you been? I looked all over the train--" she had needed a really good cry and since she hadn't found Clara, she hadn't....gotten to cry, really. She didn't want to do it in front of someone random."I'm starving. She better make the flipping speech quickly tonight."
Not likely. But a girl could hope.
Janelle was still scanning the crowd for familiar faces when an older girl sat down next to her. Looking up at the girl, she responded to her greeting. "Hi, I'm Janelle", she said while extending her hand. Her face brightened now that she had someone to talk to. Janelle wondered if this girl was she was one of Jasmine's friends.
"I'm doing fine, so far anyway. I was just wondering what happens next and.........when we get to eat. I'm really hungry." Then another girl came over, clearly they we're friends and the two girls began to talk. Janelle figured that she'd better start meeting her housemates soon. There were friends to be made.

Ah... reading, Tyler did quite a bit of reading himself, although he wasn't a Ravenclaw he liked to read books. He told Abby last year that he loved to read books, his favorite books was the hunger games series by Suzanne Collins. Although she was a muggle author she was brilliant in Tyler's opinion, the way she wrote the books were awesome. " Awesome, I spent the summer with my friends Sophia and Savannah and my twin brother at Sophia's ranch house, it was awesome I also read a couple of books as well! "said Tyler. "It will be, I'm here for you Abbs, if you fall I'll be behind you to catch you so don't worry your beautiful face it'll be ok I promise! " said Tyler softly but honestly before kissing the top of her head. Tyler smiled. "You're right, we're together now and that's all that matters! "said Tyler before he wrapped his arms around her pulling her close to him before hugging her.

Noticing Janelle head towards the Ravenclaw table, Adi headed after her. He wanted to congratulate her. Jasmine would be pleased. But then again, he supposed Jasmine would be okay with whatever House Janelle was Sorted into.
He discreetly took up position next to the firstie as he waited for her to finish talking to Eden. When their conversation was at a pause, Adi tapped her on the shoulder. "Congrats, Janelle! I sort of guessed you'd be a Claw too. I know a certain frstie that fell into the Lake hoped you'd be in Hufflepuff." His eyes went to Eden. ''Hey, Eden. How are you?"
Abby smiled and said "Yeah we are together now and nothing is going to come between us, and sounds like you had a better summer than me and your sweet Tyler"
Tyler smiled. "You're right Abbs, nothing is going to come between us, your mine and I'm yours!"said Tyler softly but honestly. As crazy as it was he was starting to fall in love with Abby, in his eyes she was perfect to him although he knewthat she had flaws, that didn't seem to matter to him. Although he wasn't going to tell her that he loves her here though, perhaps at the lake or somewhere more quiet. Although he was scared to tell her, what if she didn't love him quite yet, would it ruin the relationship? Although he was going to tell her, although he wasn't a Gryffindor Lion, he was was half seeing how his father was one while his mother was a Hufflepuff like himself. Tyler blushed at her comment. " Why thank you Abbs, but I'm mainly a trouble maker bad boy, but for you I'm sweet and goofy you just bring that side out of me!"said Tyler softly but honestly.

Talking was so much more EASY when you weren't nervous about saying the right thing or not! The twelve year old swallowed and smiled before continuing, the ceremony forgotten. Except for the new Ravenclaws that had just sat down. Ophelia was in the business of meeting new people today and she was on a roll.
New? But this girl was so... old! Not like that, but older than most of the first years. Maybe she was a transfer student? Oooh, right away this girl seemed so interesting. The blonde wanted to know more.
"This is your first year? Where were you before? A different wizarding school, or like homeschooled?" The kid meant this in the nicest way possible. But it was really interesting to meet people that might be like her. Homeschooling buddies! Possibly.
She took another sip of water before continuing, clearing her throat and taking a breath. Okay, that was needed. And it gave her a chance to see if Austin was here yet. Not that this conversation wasn't fun or that she wasn't enjoying this girl's company, but she wanted to say hi and stuff.
"It seems really scary at first. But then everything starts up and you're too busy to notice anything. You get very very acquainted quickly!" Another laugh. Tonight was a good night! She was excited about being back at Hogwarts and now she was talking to a lot of people! Yay for being a second year!
She was also very chatty. But Evie didn't mind conversation. "I was homeschooled by my mum before now." Evie took another moment to look around the hall and looking at other people around her. It was reassuring to hear a younger girl say it was only scary at first. Busy? She supposed busy was good, but she hadn't had a lot of experience with it.
"That's good to know, thanks," she said with a smile. "I'm Evie, by the way." Because she hadn't actually introduced herself yet.

...Soph couldn't help but notice that the Ophelia girl was talking to someone else at the same time, though, and Sophie noticed straight away that the girl 1) was a new face and 2) looked to be Sophie's age. Which... would... mean...
"What year are you?" Soph eagerly inquired with a smile, leaning forward on the table and looking right at Evie. HMM?
Not even ten seconds later, she noticed a girl lean across the table to look at her. "Fifth," she answered immediately.

Her current mood was all over the place; she was getting used to being in big crowds, though it still stressed her out to an extent, and she if she didn't think about things too much, she was alright ... but the problem was that she couldn't seem to get things off her mind. At least, not without a distraction.
Currently, no one was talking to her - Eden wasn't even here - so there wasn't anything to stop her thinking about it. 'It' being the fact that Gabriel and CB were the Prefects. Of course ... she'd known it was a possibility, they were both exceptional students, but the fact remained that Gabe hadn't told her, and ... whatever reason, that bothered her. It was possible that the fact it was them also had something to do with it, but Clara's brain wasn't thinking that ... didn't even realise that it was a possibility.
Now, to make it even worse, Eden wasn't here. Or rather, Clara couldn't see her.

Rorie finally decided that she would talk to Eden about all kinds of things. She didn't want to feel like this anymore, not when E had so many people fighting for her, too. Especially, if one of those might be her best friend. Might. It's still might. Whatever they might've or might've not done was pre-Rormien times anyways. It didn't bother her, nope. Why would it? Damien was just a friend, dude. Just a friend.
...still...weird.
She traveled over to the blue table when she finally got a glance of Eden. 'Cept she didn't see dumb ol' Clara there before. Ugh. Ror had completely forgot she had to see it constantly now. She rolled her eyes, facing her back at Clara, "EDEN, I would very much like to talk to you." She glanced over her shoulder disgustingly, "Preferably not near evil entities."

Kate was a bundle of nerves and excitement as she made her way to her new house table. RAVENCLAW, just as she'd hoped for! She couldn't wait to owl her parents, especially her mom, and let them know that she was officially an Eagle! In the back of her mind, Kate wondered where her new friends had been sorted. She'd look for them later. Right now, she had tunnel vision and could only focus on heading toward the house table and taking a seat with her new housemates.
AHHH, RAVENCLAW!
She still couldn't get over it. Just like on the train, she felt like running around in excitement, but she'd never do that. She'd only think about it. In a little while, she'd be up in the tower in the common room, and if what she'd heard was correct, all her things would be up there, too. She thought there'd be a tie and a scarf, too!
She finally reached an empty seat and sat down, hoping that one of the older kids would find her and show her what to do and what to expect. She also kind of hoped one of the older girls would one day show her how to do her hair and makeup. One day. Not today, though.

Hufflepuff, so that's where Margo was sorted. She was lucky to have Adi as her Prefect. "Hey Adi, is Margo OK? We kind of had a rough ride over here." As Janelle shifted her position, she was reminded of her wet clothing and her little dip in the lake. Well she would never ever forget her first day at Hogwarts, that was for sure.
Leaning in close to Adi, Janelle said, "I have a question. When do we get to eat?" She hadn't been able to get an answer to that question yet and it was pretty important.

Turning his head, just as Kyroh spoke, Thornton grinned, a little surprised. "Kyroh! Hi." Thornton shifted on the bench, so he could more easily talk to the older boy, without twisting himself in knots. "How was your summer?"
Just as the other boy turned his head a voice yelled out his name. Looking over Kyroh caught sight of Eden saluting him. Grinning extra big he raised his hand and waved at her. It only really hit him on that platform how much he grew when he realized that she didn't even look that tall compared to summer. He was certain they were the same height.
Turning his head he focused back on; Thor Thornton the Coolton.
That was his unofficial name, at least in Kyroh's head. He beamed as the other boy shifted around on the bench. He didn't even have to go looking for friends, his friends were right there!
"It was awesome! I saw Gringott Dragons with Dima, and I did a lot of dance practice and I became a big brother." Which was hard work or something, he figured. "What about yours??"

♡ A heart full of Love l ☾ A night bright as Day l
The fourteen year old had been so wrapped up in her thoughts that she hadn't even noticed that someone had sat beside her. And it wasn't until she heard a voice speak, causing the girl to jump, did she turn her head to see a younger girl with blonde hair (Ophelia) sitting beside her asking her if she was stressed out. Hmm..stressed? Stressed couldn't really be the only word she could use to describe how she was feeling. But judging by how she must have looked, it might have been freaking out the younger girl, so Josie couldn't help but feel terrible for that. Which is why she said, "O-Oh, I-I'm sorry...I-I'm fine...J-Just have a-a lot on my mind.." She nervously giggled before taking another sip of her water & then turned to look at the girl again. Biting her lip before figuring she'd better introduce herself, rather than freak her out more. "U-Um..D-Don't think I've seen you around school before...I-I'm Josie-Josette.." Just then she offered a somewhat less awkward smile.
Was this working?
Before she could even think of something else to say she'd heard the sound of a familiar voice approaching behind her. Whipping her head around was when the brunette's blue eyes were set on a very familiar couple of faces, well at least one of them was very familiar. One of them being her housemate & fellow former teammate, Sophie Brown, whom was in the middle of getting one of those piggy back rides from a boy she'd recognized on the Hufflepuff Quidditch team! He was AMAZING! DID HE KNOW!? Josie hoped he did, he was so fast on the Pitch, it was actually pretty scary! But wait what was his name again? Tom-Tob-TOBY! OH RIGHT IT WAS TOBY. TOBY was an AMAZING QUIDDITCH PLAYER!
...Not like she'd actually tell him that, he'd probably think her a total nut for just blurting something out like that. So in return to his brief smile he'd get an awkward wave in return, which probably didn't look as smooth as she'd thought it would have been in her brain. Well, it didn't seem like she had much to worry about since he was already walking away. Bye cool Quidditch player.
Josie's attention was now on Sophie as she asked the girl if she was alright too, just like that younger girl. She paused briefly and then gave a slight shrug before leaning in close to whisper to the older girl so only she could hear. "S-Something weird has been g-going on today.." Just then her blue eyes caught sight of another familiar face she had met last term, another incident when Josie was clumsy, but we wouldn't got there at that exact moment. Eden, that was her name! Even though they had scared each other last term, Josie thought the older Ravenclaw was actually very nice to her, which was why she couldn't help but smile at the girl & wave back to her after she had waved to Josie. It was definitely less awkward than the wave she had shamefully given to Toby not too long ago.
She was finally starting to see those familiar faces she recognized.
"Sure thing," was all Toby said in reply to that, with another simple nod but also with a smile. "Love you too," he replied, without even thinking about it, and leaned across to give Soph a quick kiss on the cheek. And then realised that they were, in fact, in the middle of a busy Hall where that might not have been appreciated by some of the staff. Oops? Toby glanced back towards the table at the top of the room yet again to check for less-than-pleased faces, and then back at Soph once more. "Have fun." He'd just be off now, lalala.
And then, with after directing a smile towards Kyroh and a "Hey, E," and a wink right back at Eden, Toby went ahead and headed off to the Hufflepuff table, fully intending head back over here a little later to do all the proper 'hello's and catching up. Perhaps by that point he would have filled up a little on food all that, and might be a little more talkative. Toby sure hoped so; it seemed a shame to return to all his friends in this weird quiet and dulled mood of his, especially as there were so few people who ever really saw him as anything other than bouncy and hyper usually. No. He'd eat, scoff down some candy he'd brought in from the train, and be his usual self soon, he was sure.
Even though she had started to turn her attention to Josie, Sophie did hear the reply of "love you too" from Tobes, and he hadn't hesitated at all or thought it to be weird AND he kissed her on the cheek, so... that was nice, wasn't it? She grinned big, glad that her response hadn't alarmed him or made him uncomfortable in front of everyone. She'd just forgotten that the whole entire Hogwarts population was in the same room as them. Heheheh.

Something weird? But... but what did she mean?
Whispering back so the conversation stayed between herself and Josie, she inquired lightly, "What's weird, friend? Besides... Ethan not being a prefect?" No, Sophie wasn't completely daft and saw them together all the time previously and had put two and two together. Hehe. But... would Josie know why their friend wasn't prefect, and was also missing in action so far? Had he gone somewhere...? "It's not that, is it? What's goin' on? You can talk to me." Soph rested her hand atop the back of Josie's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze of encouragement as if to reassure her that everything would be all right, no matter what was wrong.

..."Cool." Soph smiled. "You'll be with me and our house's female prefect, Coral-Bay, but we call her CB. M'Sophie Brown. Self-appointed Head Nerd number two," she pointed to the badge on her robes that said so, "and future wandmaker and potioneer. Welcome to Ravenclaw. D'you like blanket forts and fun?"
This wasn't necessarily a total and complete disaster, was it? Soph would give the girl a chance first. Maybe they could become a TRIO.
Resident Ghost of Ravenclaw | Intelligent & Evasive
Helena had spent an extra minute or two to perfect her appearance for the feast. It was a lady's right after all. When she finally floated into the Great Hall, in her elegant dress she noted with a glance that the Baron and Sir Nicholas were already at their tables causing stirs.
When she came up to the Ravenclaw table she floated through two unsuspecting students showering them in cold water as she took her place at the center of the table. "Good evening eagle's and eaglets’! Welcome to Hogwarts first years, and welcome back returning students! I predict that this will be a magnificent year for our house."

No, Sophie wasn't completely daft and saw them together all the time previously and had put two and two together. Hehe. But... would Josie know why their friend wasn't prefect, and was also missing in action so far? Had he gone somewhere...? "It's not that, is it? What's goin' on? You can talk to me." Soph rested her hand atop the back of Josie's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze of encouragement as if to reassure her that everything would be all right, no matter what was wrong.[/color]
Oh thankfully Sophie was whispering back to her. The last thing she needed was for the whole table to hear it. But just then, she could feel her face going bright red in a matter of seconds at the mere mention of a certain Slytherin she knew. Wait a moment though, he wasn't a prefect this term? "R-Really? Erm...H-Have you seen you him at a-all?" She'd actually not heard from him since last term, which was a bit odd she had to admit, seeing as to how he was so nice to her..and stuff. But she wasn't going to get into that right now.
Back to important matters. She bit her lip a little bit as she was about to tell Sophie what was on her mind, but froze a little bit when Soph had rested her hand on top of Josie's, which was then followed by a gentle squeeze. She looked at their hands & then back at the older girl which was then followed by a soft smile on the girl's lips. She nodded before she continued to speak in her whispered tone, "B-Back on the platform for t-the tran..I-I noticed that..I-I was getting s-stared at.....a lot...I-It was really w-weird...A-Almost like t-these people who w-were staring at me were...I-It was a-almost as if t-they had been c-charmed or something..J-Just....it didn't s-seem like a normal glance....I-It was like..they were gazing..." It was confusing! "D-Do you think I-I had something on m-my face?"
Oh, was that Helena Ravenclaw? Josie looked at the beautiful ghost of Ravenclaw & couldn't help but smile to her graciously after she had greeted the Eagles. "H-Hello Miss Helena..I-I hope you're well.."

Penelope looked around the Ravenclaw table for familiar faces. Oooh, Kyroh and Thornton were over there! She made her way over to where the boys were sitting and sat down by them. "Hi Kyroh! Hello Thornton." Penelope smiled at them and turned around in her seat to talk to them. She was really happy to see them, especially Kyroh. Being around Kyroh helped her be more positive and happy, and he had been great at helping her when she burned her fingers on the train. Her fingers still kind of hurt, so she would need to go see Healer Murdoch to get something to help with the burn and the pain from the burn. The healer was somewhat intimidating, but Kyroh had said he would come to the hospital wing with Penelope, so it would be okay. Kyroh was amazing.
It occurred to Penelope that she must look quite odd just sitting there looking at Kyroh. Maybe she should try to talk to Kyroh and Thornton. "How was your summer?"

Even though she hadn't been sorted into the same house as her cousin (and since Amur had been sorted first, Corrigan couldn't complain that her cousin hadn't been sorted into the same house as HER), she was glad that she was in the same house as someone she knew. She hurried herself after Kate as fast as her legs and the crowd in the hall would allow, plopping herself down on the bench beside her fellow eagle.
And thanks to her grandfather, who'd given her a brief detailing of the houses before she'd left, she knew better than to ask why their house animal was an eagle when it was called Ravenclaw. Still, it was a bit like if she chose a snowflake for her personal Neverwinter symbol; it didn't make a whole lot of sense on a first hearing.
Anyway!
"We're here." It was a whisper of glee, and she unconsciously squeaked a little closer to Kate. The great hall was big, after all, and she was deplorably small.

Theeeeere was a ghost at the table. Somehow her grandparents hadn't told her about that. But she was evidently a friendly ghost, and after giving Kate's arm a grab and shake to get her attention (as if the ghost hadn't made any kind of entrance) she piped up with an unintentionally squeaky, "Hello!"

As Janelle continued her conversations, she felt a presence nearby and then c-c-cold.......water? Seriously? Apparantly she wasn't wet enough already and did the ghost just pass through her? Jasmine had told her all about the Grey Lady and Janelle thought it best not to tick off the ghost on her first day at Hogwarts.
After she delivered her welcoming words, Janelle addressed the ghost. "Hello Miss Ravenclaw. My name is Janelle. It's nice to finally meet you."

"You'll love it here,'' Adi reassured Janelle. He would have liked it even better if she had been placed in Hufflepuff. But he wasn't surprised she was a Claw, anyway. "You'll need to owl your sister the good news."
"She's alright. She was soaking when she got to the Hufflepuff table but she got dried off so he's much better now. It was really great of you to help her out.'' Adi could see those two were going to get along just fine. "She's wondering if you'll still be her friend though, after what happened out there."
Adi laughed. "I finally have a question from you. After the Headmistress's speech. Which I hope will be soon because I am starving!'' Oh yeah... Adi had something for Janelle. He reached into his robe pocked and slid a Chocolate frog towards her. "That should be able to keep you going for a while."
Was that... "Kate! You're a Ravenclaw, too!'' Hehe. Don't mind him pointing out the obvious. "Congrats!'' He tilted his head as he surveyed his small friend. "How are you finding Hogwarts so far?'' And yeah, there was a Froggie for her too, which he was now holding out to her. Now that Kate was at Hogwarts she'd be able to eat loads of sweets without being forbidden, right?
She was a Ravenclaw. Nicole ran towards her house table but slowed down, not wanting to look like a freaked out newbie. She took a seat in the middle, where she saw an empty spot. She turned her attention to the sorting hat again. It was sorting another new student, and she stared at it, intrigued by how it worked. The girl sighed. She just had her first and last opportunity to put on the sorting hat, and all she had thought was for it to sort her into Ravenclaw.
She looked up and down the table and saw her fellow Ravenclaws, finding some of her friends too. Nicole took a mental note to talk to them later on and pulled her book out of her bag. She was hungry, despite having a sandwich and sandwiches for lunch earlier in the train. Hoping the food would arrive soon, she opened her book and started reading.

Thornton waved in greeting at Eden. He didn't know the older girl very well, but she had been really nice to him the year before. Watching Kyroh wave as well, though, it struck him home much taller he seemed, even sitting down. "Whoa, dragons?" Thornton's eyes grew big, wondering what seeing an actual dragon would be like. He smiled though. "Being a big brother is pretty cool," he added. "Little brother or little sister?"
He was about to head into his summer, but he spotted Penelope headed their way. Waving to her, he grinned when she sat down.
"My summer was good. I practiced my cello a lot. Did some reading. Paige came to visit. Spent time with my little sister." He shrugged. "It was pretty quiet. What about yours?"
Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted the Grey Lady, and remembered the awkward way he had greeted her last term. "Good evening, Lady," he offered with a nod. "Thank you for your welcome back." No awkward attempt at a handshake this time.

Kate's hadn't realized this until now, but her tunnel vision after her own sorting had left her completely clueless about where the other first years went. It hadn't occurred to her to look around and actually figure out where they all went. She wondered if all the houses usually got about the same amount, or if the Sorting hat was true to how it was supposed to work and put everybody only where they truly deserved to go.
Someone with a slightly familiar face took the seat next to her, and she turned to see it was Corrigan, the seemingly carefree one from the boat ride here. "Corrigan!" she greeted. "We're in the same house!" Yes, Captain Obvious had just pointed that out, but Kate was excited about pretty much everything right now, and it was hard to contain that excitement. "So how it was for you?" she asked, her blue eyes flickering toward the Sorting Hat, who was still up there sorting the rest of the new ones.

Kate heard her name, and although she figured there might be other Kate's in Ravenclaw besides just her, she turned her attention anyway. Turns out, she was the Kate being talked to here, and oh, no! She knew this boy but didn't remember his name. She'd met Corrigan mere minutes ago. This boy had been in Diagon Alley over the summer, which after the train ride here seemed months ago instead of just days and weeks ago.
What was his name again? Come on, Kate! ... "Adi!" she finally said. That was it, right? "I made it into Ravenclaw! I'm way too excited!" She wasn't even sure if she could make herself sit still long enough to eat, but she really was hungry. "Thank you," she said, responding to his congrats about her sorting. Then there was all new reason to be thanking him, because he was giving her a chocolate frog now! "You remembered," she said, reaching out and taking the candy. "Thanks, Adi." She pocketed the frog as she said, "Hogwarts is everything I thought it would be and more. The ceiling looks amazing!"
Then she happened to set sights on his robes, and her eyebrows raised. "You didn't tell me you're a prefect. Congrats!" she said. "Did you just get that badge?"

Oh, look! There was Nicole, and she was a new Ravenclaw, too! The slightly older girl was reading, so Kate didn't break out into too much conversation. "Hey, Nicole," she greeted. "Our wish came true--both Ravenclaws!" They'd talked about that on the train, and here they were--sitting at the exact house table they'd hoped to be at!
Kate noticed a transparent figure floating nearby and looked over to see their house ghost. "It's the Grey Lady!" she said to those she'd been talking to. Kate had heard about her and was all sorts of excited that the ghost had come out to greet them. "Hello," she said to her.

Another homeschooled kid? It was like a dream! Okay, turning off the slight dramatics, Ophelia had never met another homeschooled kid at Hogwarts before! And now she had! That was kind of exciting. Okay VERY exciting. Now the blonde wanted to know everything about this person named Evie. Did she have brothers and sisters? Was she the youngest, oldest or middle child? She had soo many questions, but if she said them, the small girl would be practically spitting out words rapid-fire style at this poor new girl. She could already imagine herself practically foaming at the mouth trying to get out all of the information she wanted. Eww. Mouth foam was nasty.
To calm herself first, she quickly took a sip of water from her goblet, allowing herself some time to breathe and process her thoughts first. Evie was going to get the tenth degree. That was for sure. However, doing it like an interrogation would get old quick for the both of them. Too much excitement for one night. Clearing her throat and putting the goblet on the table, she began to speak again.
"No problem. The only problem is all of the walking you do to get around the castle and to classes, but that becomes second nature soon too. I actually missed it during the summer!" And she let out a lighthearted laugh, though she was only half joking. You DID get extremely used to the walking.
Quote:
The jump caught the other girl by surprise, and Ophelia jumped too, even though she probably should have seen it coming. Man, the twelve year old would be bad in a scary movie! But her lack of horror competency wasn't the main issue right now. The main issue was this elder person looking... nervous? Was it nervousness? Because they were all Eagles, and she did't want any older Ravenclaws feeling upset. Mostly because then SHE would start to feel upset, but shh.
She was on a ROLL today! Talking to like four people instead of sitting awkwardly and looking for other young students to talk to only. All while swinging her feet --because they didn't yet touch the ground--. It was like a tiny, more adorable version of one of those old-timey talk show hosts, the ones where they would take questions from audience members and do giveaways and have celebrities come up and talk.
A lot on her mind? Uh-oh. Didn't that usually mean something was going on? Because Ophelia was pretty sure that's what her friend said last year when everything went South for him. Did that mean that something was going on in Josie's life? Hopefully not. Because those kinds of problems were the ones that the curly haired girl wouldn't wish on her worst enemy.
"Oh no, it's fine! I don't think I've seen you around school either. Then again, I don't really watch for things." Slight giggle. " I'm Ophelia Clarke. But you can call me Ophelia or 'Ophie."
Speaking of her friend, where was he? She wanted to see him again, to ask how his baby sister was doing and catch up since summer started. Well, since she saw him in Diagon Alley. Not that these conversations weren't riveting. The twelve year old was meeting a bunch of cool new people! But still, she needed to see King Blue Eyes. It was like the law or something. No but seriously.

Ophelia had seen this ghost before, but never had a chance to actually look at her or talk to her. Mostly because last year the blonde was too busy looking around in awe at everything, but still. It was something that she wanted to do, mostly because she had never talked to a ghost before. And how many people could say that they've talked to one? Probably almost all of the older students at Hogwarts. But it was still pretty cool.
"Good Evening. How are you tonight?" Was that a weird thing to ask a ghost? Nope, she didn't care. There was no wrong answers when talking to the Hogwarts ghosts, right? Well hopefully not, because that cold water only looked fun when someone else was getting doused with it.

Damien had been seated at the Gryffindor table, minding his own business when he'd seen a flash of pink slip away from the Slytherins to approach the... Blue table, Raventalon? it was something with birds, regardless, Damien's first instinct had been to excuse himself from Nemo and the other Gryffindors and head over there himself, and he did just that.
She seemed to be talking to someone and she didn't look very happy about it, frowning slightly, Damien turned his head to see who it was-
Eden? Right, she was a Talon or whatever, and Rorie had made it obvious they knew each other earlier with that weird freak out thing she'd done earlier - which, btw, he still had no idea what that had been about. - but, why did it seem so tense between them? Damien was so caught up in the mystery of all this as he approached that he casually forgot he had sort of, kind of, kissed both girls and had even met and flirted with the other girl - the one Rorie had her back to - before. "Rorie, you ruined the plan," Damien admonished, standing next to his partner in crime, his smile was genuine, but his blue gaze watched the girls cautiously. There was something here, something big that he couldn't see and Damien was determined to get to the bottom of it. "Eden, hey, good to see you," He nodded casually, first toward Eden, then to the girl by her side, the one with the beautiful red hair and intelligent eyes.
Damien Anderson-Belfort had no idea what he'd just walked into.
