The class is the same with the proper chairs with soft cushions to sit and lean back on, and they are still are charmed to take the most comfortable shape and height once a student is seated. The walls are still a soft, calming blue. There are one big, grey rubbish bin by the door and a white, porcelain washbasin with a tap for those who wants to wash their hands before/after the class and who can't perform 'Aguamenti' charm.
The door is open 15 minutes before the class time. Professor Culloden is sitting at his desk and greets every student who enter politely.
OOC: If you are going to RP your characer use the washbasin or the bin, you don't have to take Cosgrach's permission. Just assume he has granted it.
We have begun, so please don't post the character's late arrival. Instead, please act as if they have been here all along.

Easy-Lose Potion
3 glasses of 61-69 degree Celcius water
3 green leaves (top quality)
3 pinch of chopped parsley (prepare before starting)
3 leeches
3 cherry stalks
Chop the parsley
Heat the water until it's 61-69 degrees Celcius
Put out the fire when the water is 61-69 degrees Celcius
Steep the green leaves for 30 seconds and take them out (don't throw away yet)
Light a low fire
Once the colour is green, add the leeches
Stir 3 times clockwise, 6 times counter clockwise and 9 times clockwise with a wooden stick
Get the fire to maximum
Steep the tea leaves for 20 seconds, then take them out
Sprinkle all of the chopped parsley (Note: If all went right, the smell should make you feel very full)
Steep the tea leaves for 10 seconds, then take them out
Add the cherry stalks and wait until it's red
Take out your wand and wave it once
Trace the edge of the cauldron clockwise while saying "Amittere pondus"
Wave your wand twice
Trace the edge of the cauldron counter clockwise while saying 3 times "Gracilis"
Wave your wand thrice
Notes:
The colour is green and it stinks like a rotten egg
Take while hungry (or else, you'll only throw up)
NEVER take more than a table spoon, and take that only once in every 3 months. Otherwise, it may be lethal.
One full table spoon makes you lose 20% of your initial weight (so that you can arrange that by taking less).
It will burn fat from everywhere of your body proportionally.
It will cause diarrhea 30 minutes after consumption (duration depends on how much weight you'll lose).
Sophie was HUNGRY and NOT HAPPY that Culloden wanted them to come on an empty stomach, which meant that they couldn't eat breakfast which was, really, the BEST meal of the day. So, instead of going to breakfast, she was there all ready to go and shake a fist at him in mock fury right when he opened the classroom door.
And that's exactly what she did when she entered the room. Her gaze locked right with his and she SHOOK A PLAYFUL FIST.
"I'm HUNGRY, man. You'd better be feeding us. Or you owe us all a lavish feast of a breakfast," she teased with a big, cheeky smile, taking her spot right at the front, closest to his desk and proceeded to unpack her supplies. "Hi, by the way. You good?" Was he well? She hoped so, despite the hard time she was giving him. She was always happy to be in his class, she knew he knew, and further proved so by already making efficient work of cleaning all her supplies.

Zander wasn't really up for lessons anymore. After everything he had found his breaking point. But in the back of his mind he knew OWLs were still going to happen. Unfortunately, they wouldn't put a stop on those despite all the horrible events that this year had brought on so far. That's really the only reason why he even showed up to class today. Kind of had to drag himself out of bed too... Drag himself out of bed and all the way to the dungeons without so much as breakfast to start the day.
As he walked into the classroom, he gave the Professor a weak, "Hello, sir," and made his way to somewhere in the middle. Of course Sophie Brown was already there in her usual seat... But he figured Dot would be by her and then Toberson would sit nearby with Kyroh or something. Normally how things worked. So he went and found a spot in the back where he normally sat near Kevin. Except Kevin wouldn't be here today. Or ever again.
... Was it too late to walk out?

WHY an empty stomach, Adi wanted to know. Was it because they were going to be brewing a potion with bad odor and that would make them throw up? He was SO hungry! Not that he hadn't brought anything with him to eat. Chocolate Frogs were as usual in his bag along with sour patch kids (mainly for the guy bestie) and a scone. He was definitely going to eat after this class.
"Heya, Professor Culloden.'' A cheery smile for the man who was so patient with him over the past few months. "Hope all's well with you.'' Now to find a workstation. "Hey, Sophie. Hey, Zander.'' He was going to sit next to his fellow prefect today. "Fancy a visit to the Kitchen later? We can grab a bite and see the elves.'' Like him, Zander was fond of the creatures. Plus, the trip might cheer him up.

So they needed an empty stomach for today's lesson. That made Benny think that today's potion was surely going to make them nautious in some sense of the world. Great. The Gryffindor did his best to think positive about it though seeing as he still needed to be at the lesson. No point in giving up now. Not when a lot of potions stuff could make one nautious that it was only a matter of time when the whole potion did.
He stepped into the potions classroom, noticing only a few students already there, plus Culloden. "Morning Professor," he greeted, not sure it was really a good one. Spotting first Zander in the back of the room, obviously still upset over various matters, and then his bestie heading over to the lion, only cemented the idea to sit with his roomie. His fellow could likely use the company.
"Hey..." he said quietly as he took up the spot on the other side of Zander. Him and Adi going to be his support if he was willing. And even if he wasn't.
Angel couldn't wait for the potion lesson, when she first started Hogwarts she wasn't sure what she thought about them but now she found them fun and interesting. "Good day Professor." Angel smiled as she walked through the door. "How are you, this fine day?" Angel thought today was an amazing day.
Angel looked around and smiled at Benny and Adi and gave them both a quick friendly smile before she went and sat down on her own, it was time for her to spread her wings and try and make a few new friends, she knew her friends wouldn't mind and it seemed that Benny wanted to sit with Zander anyway.

Awesome, it was time for Lux's favourite class taught by her favourite Professor!
Making her way inside the classroom, she waved to her friends and sent them smiles. "Hello everyone." professor Culloden got a smile too because he was awesome. "Hello, Professor!" Hehe, she was eager to get started brewing as she started setting things up at her workstation.
Margo had been a little out of sorts lately, and here she was again in her least favorite class. Ugh, she was back in the stupid dungeon trying to figure out another stupid potion that she didn't really care about it!
Margo plopped onto a cushion in the room waiting and ready for the lesson to begin. She was looking around to see if there was anyone she recognized. She saw Adi a little way away and smiled. She wasn't sure if he saw her or not. She had missed him, hadn't seen in him a long time, but she was keeping to herself lately.

Janelle was ready for potions.......or at least she hoped she was. No careless mistakes today. She had to be focused from beginning to end. Upon entering the room, she took a moment to wash her hands. Once that was done, she was ready to go to work.
"Hello Professor Culloden", Janelle said as she passed his desk. "Hello everyone" She decided to give a general greeting, lest she leave anyone out. Finding her seat, Janelle began to get her things organized. Finally, she sat down and waited for class to begin.

JITTERY was certainly one word for what Toby was feeling right now. His AWESOME mood had faded considerably so now it was (most regrettably) back to how it had been, but still... there was lots of energy remaining. It was as though he'd had a lot of coffee or something. Which... was an improvement, right? RIGHT? Well. That was what he was telling himself. One step closer to TOBY!NORMAL.
As Toby entered the class, twitchy hands fidgeting with the strap of his school bag, he instantly spotted Zander at the back of the room. He might have gone over to sit by the guy, or ask him to come join him and Ky, but a few other kids had already joined him, which Toby was glad for. It was hard to miss the Gryffindor's low mood, and the absence of that Kevin kid had been noted, and all Toby really wanted was for Zander to feel happy again, even though he didn't know him quite so well as Sophie did. If anyone could cheer the kid up, that was a GOOD thing. So for now, he left those others to it, and tried to flash Zander a smile as he walked into the room, but he was moving so quickly that he was already at his desk before he could see if his acknowledgement had been noted.
Toby went ahead and sat in his regular seat, sinking into the comfortable chair but not relaxing at all. In fact... he immediately stood BACK UP again, because these legs were not satisfied with SITTING just now. He remained STOOD, bouncing lightly on his toes, and began unpacking his things from his bag. The bouncing was sort of not helpful though. Because at one point Toby ended up knocking his empty cauldron clear off the desk. But he DIVED for it and caught it before it hit the floor.
"Got it! Got it," the Hufflepuff announced, springing back to his feet, cauldron in hand. He looked towards Culloden. "Sorry, Professor. It's okay though. I got it. Yep." ... "Oh, and... hi... sir." Um. Had he said hello on the way in? Toby couldn't remember doing so but he'd definitely INTENDED to... but he was doing so now, at least. "Hi."
OKAY. Just gonna... keep setting up, here. AHem.

Potions!!!!
Zeke could NEVER miss a Potions lesson, ever, he'd be here even if he was on his deathbed with acromantula venom running through his veins.
...
Too soon?
... He made a mental note to never say that out loud... here.
"Hello Professor!" Zeke greeted as he made his way to his usual seat in the front row, taking his belongings out so he could be ready to JUMP RIGHT IN to the lesson. "Oh and Professor, I still have that list of ingredients from the workshop thing, is it too late to hand it in to you?" He hoped not. He REALLY hoped not. HOURS went into researching ingredients and their properties. HOURS.

It was early.
Early enough that Hady didn't have any breakfast as was required for this lesson. So therefore she had spent a bit of extra time braiding a bit of her hair and fixing a flower through it. Why had she done this? Just because she could.
Anyhow she made her say into the Potions room this morning with a rather cheerful grin set in place. "Hello Professor!" Hady chirped happily before waving at each of her friends in turn while making her way to her table. Upon reaching said table of hers she began to lay out all her things in order before setting her back under her chair and slipping onto her seat.

FREAKING POTIONS, MAN!
Dude was well excited for this class. Favourite class and all. And it was one of the few that didn't make him want to roll his eyes and give up on altogether. Some were just ridiculous, mkay? But this wasn't one of them. Oh no no! Potions was always dead interesting, no matter if it was at Beauxbatons or Hogwarts. Always.
Or, it would be if he wasn't so freaking HUNGRY. He kinda understood the fact that there was a reasonable explanation to all of this and whatnot and that Culloden wouldn't make them starve for no reason but making him go hungry? Seriously? Rude.
Yeah. Alright. Whatever. He was HERE, mkay? Hungry and with every intention to grab something to munch on as soon as this lesson was over. "Hey, Professor!" he called, smiling over at the Potions professor before heading over towards his usual spot. Ahhhhh! THIS was more like it.
Norah had half a mind to enter the classroom clutching her stomach in AGONY, 'cause meals were a very very big deal and going an entire meal without toast to fuel her brain was very bad news. 'Cept she didn't, 'cause potions was pretty cool and she wasn't sure how much Professor Culloden would appreciate that. So, she entered the familiar room with a wide grin in place and said, "Hello, professor" as she passed his desk.
She unpacked her materials methodically before setting her bag on the ground and her bottom in a chair, all ready to go. This'd better be worth the hunger, uh huh. Or maybe Culloden could make them a feast! Potions was kinda like cooking, right? That'd be awesome.

As soon as she entered the classroom, Dot spotted Sophie. Of course. Culloden's OTHER favorite student had to work extra hard to stay in the top spot. Dot claimed the seat beside Sophie, settling her cauldron down with a loud clank. Culloden got the finger-wiggle. "Hullo, Professor. It's nice and spring-like outside, isn't it? I'm awfully glad. Maybe we should do Potions outside today."
Unlikely, but you never knew until you asked. She settled down to unpack her cauldron and give it a good cleaning before class started.

He missed a lot already, so this time around, he will NOT miss this Potions class. However, he seems a bit troubled because…empty stomach? REALLY? But…an empty stomach meant…empty brain as well, right? Groaning loudly, Ethan entered the classroom, with a weak smile on his face.
Hungry, okay? Okay.
“Good morning, sir.” Ethan waved and did an imaginary tip of the hat gesture towards the Potions Master. As he was about to sit on his chair, his stomach grumbled loudly that the sound may have echoed inside the chamber. Ehh…oops? “Sorry ‘bout that.”
Meep.

Cosgrach was very pleased to see yet another familiar and cheerful face - one Zeke Rogers. "Hi there!" he greeted back, and nodded as the boy brought out his stuff. He was about to turn his head at the newcomer, but Zeke asked another question and the man shook his head in reply.
"It's not," he said, "you have until the next meeting to do so." Did he have the list here with him?

Ah, Dot was here, and they could start!
Well, not because Dot was here, but because it was time to start, but little details were of no importance.
"Sorry Dot, some other time," he said, "but we were just waitin' for ya to start." Hehehehe, and to prove his point, he got up and closed the door. See? He wanted her to be there.
"Hello everyone," he greeted them again, "and welcome to yet another potions lesson. I hope you're all hungry. You certainly are cheerful," which hopefully didn't mean a full stomach, "you'll feel full soon anyway, because today, we'll learn about a potion that helps with losing weight." He paused to see their reactions. "It's called 'Easy-Lose'," he made a face at the silly name, but it wasn't HIS invention, "and the ingredient list is on the board." The list appeared right after he said that. Ah, gotta love magic.

So the first step is: If you already have chopped parsley, measure 3 glasses of water and heat it until it's somewhere between 61 and 69 degree celcius. Please remember to clean everything, including the thermometer. If your parsley isn't chopped, please chop it first."
As soon as he said that, he went inside the storeroom to get the tray and emerged a minute or so later. He set it on his desk. There. Now he could stroll among the aisles peacefully... unless someone made a terrible mistake.

Whew. Okay. OKAY. Culloden was in a good mood. That was good. Good moods for everyone pls and thx.
The rest of the setting of for class went along more or less smoothly; at least Toby didn't knock his cauldron off the desk again. Even when everything was all set up and ready and cleaned with magic his hands just continued messing with and moving everything around just for something to DO though. At least... until class started.
Luckily, Culloden always jumped right into the potion making with little talking and all, so soon enough they were getting started. Toby wasted absolutely no time at all in getting started, and chopped up his parsley (with the knife he cleaned while setting up) in WARP SPEED. CHOPCHOPCHOPCHOPCHOP.
Water next then, and Toby grabbed a glass and scourgified it, and the inside of his cauldron again, both for good measure.
"Aguamenti," he said, pointing his wand into the glass, waiting as it filled, and then tipping it into the cauldron. Each movement was done with the kind of eagerness that made it seem like he was JUST SO READY to move onto the next step. There... also might have been a fair bit of splashing from how enthusiastically he added the water, but there was still three glasses worth of water in there so ALL GOOD HERE. Just a slightly damp school shirt and work surface, that's all. YUP.
Toby dropped the business end of a scourgified thermometer into the cauldron of water before lighting a fire below with, "Incendio."
And only then, while awaiting further instruction, did Toby begin scrawling out his notes, in a way at least, glancing up at the thermometer from time to time and humming tunelessly to himself.
Was it her or was the Potions Professor in an exceptionally good mood today, she wasn't sure but she had a feeling she knew the answer and it was yes, which was good especially after everything that had happen in the past few month, she was still coming to terms with everything.
Angel listened to the Professor as he spoke and then she knew exactly what she had to do first, she scourgified her cauldron before she grabbed a glass and the scourgified that as well and then for extra measure she clean the knife she was about to use.
Angel now had to chop the parsley.
*chop* *chop* *chop*
Angel was doing it quickly, but also carefully didn't want to lose her finger or anything, she wasn't sure if the Professor could mend that though she had a feeling he could if he wanted to.
Angel then took out her wand. ""Aguamenti," Angel pointed it at the glass, once it was full she poured it into the caudron, she did this three times making sure that everything was perfect before adding the water to the cauldron.
Angel cleaned a thermometer by using Scourify before she dropped it into the water making sure she could pick it up to see what the temperature was. She then pointed her wand at the burner under the cauldron. "Incendio!" Now she just had to wait for the temperature to come up to what the Professor said.

"I'm good, thanks for asking, Professor.'' Adi gave Culloden his cheeriest and best I-not-mad-at-you-for-making-us-come-to-class-hungry look. It was true. He wasn't annoyed or anything. He'd just have to nom on all the delicious things later.
His bestie was here! Goody! "Hiya, one half of the reindeer team.'' And he was going to sit with him and Zander! Even better! Adi had not missed Lux's, Angel's Janelle's and Margo's entrances. They got smiles from him but his eyes lingered on Margo a moment longer. Maybe it was his fault but he hadn't hung out with her in a while. Heh. The boy needed to change that soon.
....................
Woot! The lesson was beginning! Aha! So that's why they were told to come here on an empty stomach... a weight loss potion. Veryyyy interesting! Adi didn't think he needed to loose weight. This potion could be geared towards girls who were worried about their weight more, he supposed. Never the less... It would be fun brewing it.
After copying down the ingredients, Adi retrieved them (a few of which he got from Culloden's tray)and laid them neatly out on his work station. First step: cut up parsley. This was done after the knife was magically cleaned. Yep, just enough for three pinches.
The glass was Scourgified too and three glassfuls were added to the also freshly Scourgified cauldron. Using the Fire Making Spell, the burner was lit. While the water began heating up, Adi used the Scouring Charm yet again but this time to clean the thermometer.
With the apparatus now in the water all set to take the temperature, he kept an eye on the readings as he updated his notes with the completed steps so far.

Where was her parchment and quill?
Eyes scanning her tabletop quickly she pulled said previous items to her quickly jotting down the steps needed for now in her delicate script. Notes tended to come first since it was easier for her to look at her parchment then to the board all the time. Pushing the parchment and quill aside when she'd finished Hady was ready for the first step.
Chopped parsley. Which she didn't have. Alright then it was up to the front desk to get some from the tray there. Slipping from her chair she walked to where the tray was and collected the parsley and anything else she didn't have but would need for later and returned to her table.
Setting everything out nicely she got her cauldron set up grabbing her wand and Scourified it clean along with a glass, a knife and the parsley...oh and her hands too! With those clean she set to chopping up the parsley as directed. Setting that aside she recleaned the knife before putting it away.
Grabbing her cleaned glass she used her wand to fill it with the 'Aguamenti' spell. This was done three times, the water carefully poured into her clean cauldron. Water done. Now to heat it up.
Wait the thermometer! Good thing she remembered!
Grabbing that she cleaned it with a quick 'Scourgify' before setting it into the water in the cauldron. Now to heat it up. Pointing her wand at the burner beneath the cauldron she recited "Incendio" watching the flames spark to life.
Now to wait for it to be the proper temperature...

Weight loss potion? That was... interesting. AJ didn't need to lose any weight because she was always on the move so that canceled out the extra tacos she would eat. She was good. If anything, adding a few extra pounds wouldn't even hurt her. Anywho, she was hungry, and hoped that this brewing process was going to be worth it.
First things first, she made sure that she had all of the needed ingredient. Realizing that she was missing a few, she snagged them from the professor's tray. Chopping time. AJ cleaned her knife and chopped up the parsley in just the right amounts. The lion cleaned her glass and added three glassfuls to her cleaned cauldron. "Incendio!" she said while she pointed her wand at the base of her cauldron.
All that was left to do was to wait for her clean thermometer to register the correct temperature. Oh how AJ hated to wait.

Potions brewing time.
Yet as Professor Culloden began the class and explianed about what they would be brewing, Benny was confused. A weight-loss potion? That was going to combat the fact that they were likely all hungry to one degree or another. Alrighty then, he would just have to wait and see and try not to be distracted too much. Best he simply focus on the potion...and Zander...than his stomach.
Luckly there was only one or two things that the Gryffindor didn't remember seeing in his supplies already, so he retrieved them before returning to his workstation. Then with a quick scourgify on his knife, Benny proceeded to work on the parsley first as instructed. Chop...chop...chop. Chop...chop...chop. Chop...chop...chop. When it was enough for what was needed, he picked up his wand once more to clean out his measuring cup and cauldron. Then with three casts of "Aquamenti" and "Finite" he filled the measuring cup up three times, emptying the contents into the cauldron before refilling.
That all set, he set his cauldron alight with a quick "Incendio". Now all he had to do was wait for it to get to the right temperature. Shouldn't take too long...right?

Zander Adair was alive!
Cosgrach smiled at the boy. "Hello, Zander," he said, and didn't let it break his heart when the boy sat in his usual spot. Nope. Not gonna feel bad. Not at all.
Cosgrach smiled at the Hufflepuff Prefect. "I'm fine, thank you," he said, "how about you?" And just how sweet was he, sitting next to Zander like that?
Cosgrach smiled at the boy pleasantly. He liked it that Ben always came to his classes. A sign of liking and trust? Most certainly! "Good morning!" he greeted back, and loved it that he sat with Zander too.
See, dear Gryffindor? You aren't alone!
Angel was here too... they only needed AJ and Lux for the group to be complete.
"I'm fine, thank you," he said, "how about you?"
Lux was there right after Angel, sweet!
"Morning," he said and smiled when she started to clean her area.
Cosgrach... hoped she wasn't upset since the first class?
Oh well. He was going to greet her and show he wouldn't eat her... yet.
"Good morning, Margo." There.
Ah, Janelle was present! "Hello, Janelle." He smiled at the girl, because she was cleaning her work space too.
Toby was one of the sweetest kids in this school, did he know?
Cosgrach smiled at the boy, and kept smiling even when he knocked the cauldron down. "It's okay, indeed," he said. "Hello." Was it an energetic day for Toby? Hehehe, Cosgrach would take this boy anytime over the sad one.
Cosgrach smiled back at the girl. "Hi Hady." So far, almost none of the students were affected by the hunger, which was... odd, but nice.
Hehehehe, he'd see them by the end of the class.
Aaaaand Grayson was here too!
Cosgrach smiled at the boy. "Hello, Grayson!" Good to see ya, even though he probably wanted nothing more than some food. Well, he would get it soon...
Sort of...
Another happy child. Seriously, did they really hate breakfast so much?
Hehehe.
"Hey, Norah," he greeted the girl with a cheerful smile of his own. Who was he to ruin their happiness?
Cosgrach smiled at Ethan. Hey! The boy had been missing lately, but it was great to see him again.
"Good morning," he greeted cheerfully, and even laughed a little. "It's okay." Everyone's stomach would grumble at one time today. Hehehee.
"These are all mundane ingredients, so if you don't have some of them, you can find them on the tray... that I'll bring here now.
“Yessir!” Ethan replied, his cheeks still a bit red with embarrassment. Seriously, that was the first time it happened because...well, he’s always full. He’d usually go on a rampage with an empty stomach, but because it’s Professor Culloden, he can’t afford to be an insolent student. Nope. Never.
As soon as the door behind them closed, Ethan took his parchment and self-inking out and jotted down notes. LOL. Weight loss potion? Maybe he can brew this one and give it to Mordred’s fiancée. Maybe she needs to lose some weight before the big day, right? Or maybe not because she seems to be in perfect form...but...she’s a girl, and he will never know what goes on in her mind, let alone a woman about to get married.
Setting those thoughts aside, Ethan prepared his cauldron, beaker for his water, knives, thermomenter, and other tools that he may need in this potion. The Slytherin neatly placed his tools in front of him, giving each a good “Scourgify.” Next was the parsley. Getting three pinches from his tray, he chopped it carefully with his knife and placed it on one side. Measuring three cups of water with his beaker, the Slytherin poured it inside his cauldron, placed the thermometer in there too, and lit up his vessel. “Incendio...” ... “Fiyaaah.”
Merlin, he feels like Matthew Studdard. No wait. The name’s not Matthew Studdard, because if he remembered it correctly, it was a muggle woman who was superb in domestic stuff. Margie? Margaux? Martina? Great. His memory’s starting to get wonky with all the studying he’s been doing.
Ugh. Ethan sat back on his seat and watched his thermometer as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. Hmm. Any minute now...

Queen of Typos | The OTHER OTHER Roro | WICKED is Good
Dante was kind of half asleep when he stepped inside and settled at one of the work station. But then hunger was brought up and it reminded the teenager that he indeed WAS hungry. Well, not that hungry. But certainly not full enough to say that he wouldn't mind some more food. So in that instant the lesson became absolutely extra interesting.
So, alert and ready now, the Slytherin was all ears.
After writing the ingredients and steps down. After that he tended to his cauldron to make it clean and ready for potion brewing. With that done it was time to move on and start with the first step.
Chopping huh? Piece of cake. Dante was no stranger to culinary business so he didn't have to concentrate much or put a lot of effort in the chopping part. It was over before he thought about it.
The second step was not a hard one either but it did need measuring and keeping an eye out for temperature. With his wand out, he pointed it and uttered, "Aguamenti," He waited until the first glass was filled then stopped the spell, poured the water then did it again twice.
Next it was Incendio's turn. But before that he got the thermometer ready and he was all but staring at it waiting for it to hit the wanted number. Any moment now.
