The Lions sit under a beautiful scarlet and gold banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. The food will arrive after the Headmistress' traditional feast speech. To all Gryffindors, both new and old: enjoy the feast!
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Adi eyed the best friend. Benny did have the occassional go at him but Adi always found it weird given that he was accustomed to a shy and quiet Benny. "Maybe. I had forgotten where the Gryffindor table was,'' he joked. "Actually, I was ambushed by a Puffer firstie who fell into the Lake, helped get her dry, caught up with everyone at the other tables then finally made it here." Being a Social Badger was so much fun. Weren't people just awesome? That's why he liked socialising so much. "Have a Gus, Benny,'' Adi said suddenly and deposited a certain dormouse/toad in Benny's hand. "I think he's tired of being in my pocket.''
"Diva,'' Adi said to Angel with a grin. "Yeah, great train ride and peaceful carriage one too. No dramatic people.'' He winked, remembering last year. Oh, Professors! He cast an eye at the seated staff, noting the new faces. He already missed Hadley and it was strange not seeing her seated there. ''I wonder who's going to be the new Head of House,'' he muttered.
"Heya, Jordy!'' The friendly kid had joined the Gryffindor table. "How's it going? Enjoyed the remainder of the summer?" Adi of course was referring to the latter part of the summer, after they had met in Diagon Alley.
Yes, yes. No nicknames for this ghostie. "Sorry, Sir Nicholas. I just like calling everyone by nicknames but I'll make an exception for you.'' Adi grinned brightly at the ghost. "Why don't you like being called Sir Nick?'' he added curiously.
"The Weird,'' Adi confirmed. "Because ever since I've known you, I notice you act sort of weird. Can you remember the conversation in the Kitchen two years ago? You were acting strange.'' He laughed at what his fellow fifth year said next. "Nah, I think you'll get used to it before that. It's going to be awesome working with you and the others.'' Yup, yup. "What if 'Noname' sticks?'' the Puffer questioned. Noname felt like a name O_O "Can I see her sometime then?" Adi was always interested in creatures.
Noting Zeke and Kevin engrossed in conversation, Adi merely waved at them both. He'd chat with them later, yes?
Emmylou made her way into the Great Hall and then after she had talked to a new student here. Well she wasn't sure if the student was new but the person was new to her because she hadn't seen that person before in her two previous terms here. The fifth year walked over to the Gryffindor table and looked around for all of her friends. As she was walking along the table she noticed Lux but she didn't say anything to her. She looked up and noticed their new Prefect Puck, Emmylou smiled and gave her a wave. "Hey Puck." She said sweetly. Then she noticed her boyfriend, Kace, she knew that he would be over here so it didn't surprise her one bit. "Hey Kace." She smiled at him. She should have told him why she walked out of the compartment a little early just to walk around the train but she had a gut feeling that he already knew.
She also saw their other new Prefect and she knew him because they were friends, Zander. She was shocked that he was chosen but she was also very proud of him. "Hey Zander, congrats. You'll make a great Prefect." Emmylou nodded and looked over at Cinna. "Hey Cinna." Emmylou said with her usual bright smile.

Aegis was unsure how to take those words. Kevin had just called him and idiot, but also did so to himself. AH NO WAIT! "Don't call me that! it was a Fake Mustache. Besides...it made me look Regal." More Regal than this KING Kevin. Bet he didn't even have a Queen! Aegis had a Queen. He's had a Queen since he was like Six! HA take that King Kevin-Bob!
Kevin-Bob? THAT was his nickname? you know, he expected a bit more of this guy but apparently he had been wrong. Kevin-Bob bwhahaha! "Yup, we're all idiots here, but the best kind of idiots if i have to say so" and yes he HAD called himself an idiot as well. HE could say that about HIMSELF. But if anyone dares to say it to him about him? Said person should be happy to even see the castle from inside of the hospital wing.
"Oh i'm soooo sorry! Magnificent Fake Facial Fur then?" he grinned as he noticed Adi waving at him from behind Aegis. Ok so , you know that whole, i hate authorative people attitude of him. Well, that wasn't actually true. Yes, he hated them in general. But that didn't mean that he had to dislike every single one of them. Zander was the best of course cause he was his best friend and he was sure he would do a good job and Dumbo (Adi) was okay as well. He didn't care about the others though. He gave a nod to the Hufflepuff Prefect and looked back at Magnificent Fake Facial Fur."If you tell me what your name means i'll stop calling you Magnificent Fake Facial Fur, okay?" yeah he was lying, but he was a good liar hehe.
anyone else? she's not really ignoring anyone I promise.

She was here. That was about as much as she could say about that. She sat down quietly in her seat. Just observing the goings on at the Gryffindor table. She was hungry and honestly at the moment that was all cared about.
It was wasn't until Emmy said hey to her that she came out of her hunger induced quietness. "Hey, Emmy. How long have been there?" She smiled at her. Had she been that zoned out since she had sat down. Kace there too she waved over at him. "Hey Kace, did you have a good summer?" They had hung out some over the summer but not recently.

Alright then. So they were all idiots, that made name calling a tad easier for Aegis. "No, Idiot Kevin-Bob. It's not Fake Facial Fur! it's Aegis!". He looked down in the direction the Idiot Kevin-Bob was nodding and so a Hufflepuff. A Student Leader one, shouldn't he be leading his Badgers? His attention back to Idiot Kevin-Bob once more when he demanded to know the meaning of his name once more. "We're in School now, so look it up. I can deal with that Nickname so long as you have that nice title in front of it." Not really, no. He hated that nickname, but he wasn't going to budge to Kevin-Bob. "Say, so um That Dude over there is a Hufflepuff. Who're our Prefects?" he had to figure that out, so he could learn who to avoid.

Once she heard Cinna's voice Emmylou looked over at Cinna and beamed. She shrugged, "I haven't been here that long." She really felt bad for leaving Cinna and Kace alone with Lux, Puck and that one screaming girl. "Hey, I'm sorry I left you and Kace." Emmylou looked down at the ground, she felt really bad but she just couldn't take it in the compartment with Lux and all the silent awkward moments that were there.

Kevin sent Aegis a glare when he had added the idiot to his nickname. And he had been so generous to add magnificent to his! Stupid guy hmpf. "Whatever" he shrugged his shoulders after he shouted that his name was Aegis.
He...didn't know who their Prefects were? what was he? dumb as well? Of course he did not mention that he didn't know who the female prefect was either but atleast he knew who the male one was so he was half dumb. "That guy over there" he pointed towards the Prefect "is Zander and he is my best friend" big shocker eh? hehe. "And the female Prefect is ...." he looked around quickly until he spotted a girl with a red and gold badge with a P on it. What was her name again? "Puck..i think thats her name, actually the only thing i remember is laughing at her because she got locked up in to a storage closet during Astronomy class when the Professor had been possessed by a fairy tale book" he laughed. It had been funny.
And speaking of fairy tale books! HE had helped SAFE the school! WHERE WAS HIS REWARD? HMMM?

Aegis was listening to Idiot Kevin-Bob for a while. Right right you're bragging about having a Prefect for a Friend, that's great. it won't change how he treats you, Kevin-Bob That doesn't really make you King of Hogwarts, it's technically Zander, does he need to focus on de-throning him instead?
Like he cares about Zander anyways. His eyes fixated on the Gryffindor Girl who was their prefect. Aegis quickly threw his finger to his New Rival's Lips. "Shush your Face IKB. Put the Fairy Tales on the Back Burner... You got anymore stories about Puck?" This was a Topic he could pay attention too. Aegis wondered if the other Girl Prefects were as pretty as Puck was?
Puck, Sir Nicholas, Zander, Abby, Jordan, Zeke, Brian, Emmy, and Cinna. :)

It made Lux laugh to hear that Puck was in total support of her Resorting idea. Gryffindor was still the best House even after Bay was gone because well...he still WAS a Gryffindor. Maybe she could live on in the House after him until she Graduated too. Yeaaah!! "I got the robes from a certain awesome person, so I think I could pull it off." Wink. "And a sleep over sounds amazing!" Sleep overs were the best ever and she would have loads of fun with Puck and her other friends.
Happy to talk to Nearly Headless Nick because he was a lot nicer than the Bloody Baron, she was pleased to hear that he was doing well. Part of her wondered if these feasts made him miss being able to eat food, but that was probably not a very nice thing to ask so she refrained. The comments about Bay made her laugh, however. He knew her a lot better than she thought he did. What a smart ghost. "Well, maybe I don't want him to have failed-" because that would be mean and all and she loved Bay "-but I do wish that he would come and join us." Was that possible? Maybe not, though visitors were allowed to stop by for Quidditch matches. Shame they probably weren't bringing the sport back, since it had only been around for her first term. "You know, I want to ask the Sorting Hat to place me in Gryffindor," she admitted to the House Ghost. "Though I AM already an Honorary Lion because Professor Bentley dubbed me as one before she left." Lux missed Bentley because she was really nice and fun.
Speaking of really nice people, Zander was turning even redder if possible. What a sweet, shy boy. He was so adorable and Lux could totally see why Cinna wanted to pinch his cheeks and hug him. Smiling, she patted him on the back as he told her no one could replace Bay. That was true for sure. "You and Puck will handle things perfectly for Gryffindor. You were picked for a reason, and that reason wasn't the Staff having a lapse in sanity." Though she couldn't really fault them for feeling this way - she couldn't even imagine how she would take it if they offered a Badge to her!
It was nice to hear that Abby was doing well. "I am doing pretty well!" Talking to all these lovely people and waiting on food helped distract her from missing Bay and she would get to talk to him later on through her mirror and tell him what had happened on the train and during the feast. She was so excited. "Did you get up to a lot of trouble during the holidays?" Valid question, because those Valentines could get up to a lot of trouble - especially AJ if Lux had to guess.
A few familiar faces popped up, and Lux smiled at both Jordan and Zeke as they joined the group. "Hey, guys! You both excited to be back?" It was nice to be around friends, and Lux thought that both Jordan and Zeke were really cool. A new face (Brian) arrived as well, and Lux could tell he was a Hufflepuff because of his robes. "Hello, I am Lux." With a smile she greeted her fellow Puff.
The smile faltered a little as Lux noticed Emmy, but maybe she was being silly since they were still friends and surely would get over the recent tension. It was just hard, because some of the things Emmy told her in the Quidditch store had hurt. "Hello again, Emmy. Are you excited to be back?" she asked before spotting Cinna. It was nice to see her bestie come to the feast, because Lux had been wondering when she would arrive. "Cinna!!" she said excitedly even though they had seen each other on the train earlier that day.

Think about how boring that would be? Ew. Swinging her feet under the table, Timmy's stomach growled a bit. How long did they have to wait for the food? Then she heard a voice. The voice of that boy she had looking for. Grinning and looking up at him, it was confirmed what she already thought. She was a Gryffindor now. She squeezed her twin back tightly and sighed a bit. "I got the same house as him. Please tell me I'm going to be a way better Gryffindor than him," She would've said something else but something, or someone had caught her attention.
HOUSE GHOST!
"Ollie, look! It's the Gryffindor house ghost!" She pointed to him and grinned. Least when someone asks her what ghost was the first she saw, Timmy would proudly say Nearly Headless Nick. "Good evening, sir. How was your holiday?" Because Mum always taught her that manners were very important.
And look! Prefects! And the one with the pretty blonde hair talked to her. Eep! And her name was PUCK! Super cool name too! FLAIL! "Hiiiii! Are you a new prefect or are continuing the prefect stuff?" C'mon now. Timmy didn't know how this prefect stuff worked. Maybe she's become one someday. Or hold a special title. Whatever.
Kate had decided that while people were still walking around and there hadn't been an official speech yet, she could try and find the people she'd met in Diagon Alley or on the train ride over here. She wasn't shy at all, so this kind of thing didn't bother her. The Gryffindor table was the table she came to, so she stopped there and looked around. She wasn't the only one from a different house at the table, so that was good. Her blue eyes scanned the table for sight of anybody she knew.
Oh, look--Timmy! Kate was happy for Timmy being made a Gryffindor, but she had hoped maybe Timmy would end up in the same house she did. That didn't happen, but she knew Timmy would be the same ole Timmy. They'd only know each other for a train ride's length, but Kate's first impression of Timmy had been a good one. Kate thought she saw Cinna here, too. Wasn't that the girl who'd offered to show her new ways to style her hair? Cool!
"Timmy!" Kate greeted, approaching the part of the table her new friend sat at. "Congratulations on Gryffindor. I got into Ravenclaw." She beamed with a mixture of pride and excitement. Timmy was talking to a few others, so Kate looked over at them with a smile. "Hi. I'm Kate," she said to them.
Cinna beamed back at Emmy. She shrugged "It's fine. I understand." She left not to long after Emmy did. That actually turned out to be pretty interesting. She ran into Abbi. Which to her surprise wasn't that bad. In fact it was almost nice. Almost. They may have gotten to Frenemy status.
Speaking of interesting goings on on the train. Did Blondie ( Aegis) just get sorted into Gryffindor? She still didn't know what she thought about him yet. "Hey Blondie where's my Peppermint toads?" He promised her candy now where was it. He was talking to Kevin. she waved to him. She had never actually talked to him before. She still hadn't forgotten the potions final.
She turned her head the other way, when she heard her name. She knew who's voice that was. Lux. "Hey, Lux." They seen each other on the train already. Kate she spotted the younger blonde and for a second she thought that she was sorted into Gryffindor. "Kate. Ravenclaw? That's awesome." Ravenclaws were cool.

Abby smiled at Lux and said "Well i actually had a quiet summer didnt get up to much trouble at all but well i have something to tell you Lux but i much rather it is in private so i dont risk losing points" Abby had a valid reason really because she didnt want to lose points like she did at the feast last term
Let your light shine || Be the sun || You're important. Always.
Hungry hungry hippo! Hungry hungry hippo! The muggle tune was stuck in Chances head as he made his way to the gryffindor table. He spotted MANY familiar faces and opened his mouth t say hey but out came, hungry hippo! and he laughed.
"Whoops meant hey! I it that hungry hippo muggle tune stuck in my head." He said to no one in particular. Just anyone that happened to be paying attention to him at the time.
Plopping down into a seat, he waved to any and to all. I mean, come on! It was the START OF THE TERM FEAST!! Grand things were about to happen! New year! Woooohoooo!!
As Kace was done talking with Zander he noticed a little lion making her way to the table. Wait a minute he knew her....it was...Savannah! He snapped his fingers when he remembered and smiled and went over to say hello. "Hey Savannah!" he greeted her with a big hug. "Have you seen Sophia I didn't see her at the puff table." he said pointing to his table. "But how are you liking the great hall so far?" he asked looking around the room. "I mean it is pretty large.." he smirked.
Savannah looked at Kace and gave him a soft warm smile. Kace! Hi!"said Savannah hugging him back. Hm...that's odd, maybe she gotten caught up and haven't made it to the Puffer table yet. said Savannah starting to worry about her little Hufflepuff friend. Savannah rolled his eyes playfully at him. "I don't know, would be nicer if the Lions and Badgers table was closer! "saidSavannah winking at him. Savannah laughed at his comment. "Is it just me or does it get bigger each year?"Savannah asked him before smirking before chuckling.
Savannah turned to Lux and gave her a soft warm smile. "So you're the famous Lux that Kace talked about, pleasure to finally meet you, I'm Savannah. said Savannah. "So...how was everyone summer?"Savannah asked everyone that was near her curiously. "Before you guys asked me how mine was, it wasn't that great, but I'll tell you later if you want to know. said Savannah softly. Savannah looked at Lux and smiled at her. "I know this might sound silly, but I love your hair color it's so pretty!"said Savannah softly but honestly.
Savannah turned to Tobias and gave him a soft warm smile. "Not really, but I'll be ok. said Savannah softly but honestly before kissing his cheek. Savannah didn't want to bring her friends and boyfriend to worry about her, they had enough of their own problems. Savannah knew that over time she'll be ok, but for now she wasn't, but with her friends and boyfriend by her side she knew she will be.
"It certainly does look like it." Nemo agreed with Damien and was a little amused with the bubble pipe. He was sure that Damien was the funnier of them.
Sir Nicholas seemed to be congratulating the new Lions as usual. Nemo liked the Knight, he was an interesting fellow.
Nemo looked back at Zander and nodded. "Yeah, i had a pretty good summer. Went to Paris and stuff." The details were his own but he did have a good summer. Weird that he and the other fifth year boys looked so alike..Hmm.
Then a wild Puck appeared! He snorted because in love was such a silly thing to say. "I would hardly say in love, Puck" But he had the stupid look on his face of a boy thinking about a girl.

“Hey Grimm” Puck grinned over to the fourth year, “how have you been? Fallen in love yet?” She asked extending the final word a bit but this was obviously because she had no idea about his relationship with Whyttyr. And then she saw it, something that made complete sense bat!boy was a Gryffindor. “Hey Bat!Boy,” she grinned over to him, “so…you going to sniff out your partner in crime?” She asked smirking somewhat.
Puck grinned at the new girl and sent her a wave…sure she looked older than her but who really cared? It was better to be nice than to be a complete and total jerk right? “Welcome to Gryffindor,” she chirped over to the girl and smiled…and then it was time to take a seat and why not sit next to her prefect in crime. “Hey Zander,” she grinned over to him “I wanted to say congratulations again,” she grinned and didn’t actually sit just stood for a bit and looked for the rest of her friends…”have you seen Bianca?” She asked as really didn’t everyone know Bianca? “Oh Damien wanted to say WELCOME TO AWESOME” she grinned after all she hadn’t expressed the welcome in THAT way before had she?
“Hello SIR Nicholas,” Puck grinned before she spotted a rather harmless looking first year girl. “Hey welcome to Gryffindor…I’m Puck one of your prefects” she grinned at the girl and then spotted another one a slytherin one that looked sort of similar to the other girl. “Hey….good job on being a slytherin” she told the girl’s obvious sibling…or was it twin? Or cousin? She had no clue she was just GUESSING here.
AND LUX WAS THERE! “LUXY!” she squealed happily, “Welcome to this obviously awesome house” she told Lux and grinned, “she’s a obviously an honorary Gryffindor” she informed the first years who wouldn’t know any better because this was Lux and LUX was important. Now where was Bianca? BIANCA?
"Does this mean I can talk to cats or something? Is there a special Gryffindor ability? Teach me the ways, Senpai," Damien said, still blowing the bubbles, he found the action impossibly soothing, not to mention fun, maybe he ought to get red bubbles now to match the Gryffindor motif... Or Gold, gold would be pretty.
He'd been thinking about that sort of thing, colors and motifs when Puck had spoken to him, calling him Bat!Boy again, eh, there were worst nicknames to get stuck with. "pshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, as I told you earlier, there was no sniffing out of any kind, you're just being silly now." Said the boy blowing pink, purple, and pale green colored bubbles from a mahogany pipe, of all things. "And besides, I know where she is... Sadly at the green table," He said, and then he pouted because despite attempting to be pleased for Rorie, he was actually pretty bummed that they would not be housemates.
He'd wanted to speak to Zander more, but the boy seemed rather busy, he supposed that happened when you were a prefect, a concept that sen with the boy's explanation, Damien didn't quite understand. All the same, he answered the boy's earlier question. "Fifth year is what they told me? What about you?" Damien asked. Was that how they settled the dorm mates? By year? He was just hoping he'd get Nemo since they were already bros.
Sir Nicholas? The House had it's own ghost? Pretty swanky. "What's up, Sir Nick?" Damien said, going the apparition a little salute with his pipe, watching as a few of the bubbles passed through the ghost's stomach. Huh, cool.
Turning back to Puck, Damien grinned. "Thank you, thank you, Promise not to bring dishonor the House or anything." He joked, lightly nudging the girl. Who was, well, actually, she was pretty, pretty, all of the girls in the school seemed to be gorgeous and Damien couldn't help noticing them as they walked by or flipped their hair... He cleared his throat loudly and relaxed in his seats, nope no time for people watching... Or girl watching.
"I know you! Cucumber girl!" Damien said, Giving Lux a little wave as she entered the seriously busy atmosphere of the Gryffindor table. "Good to see you, again," Damien added with a smile, blowing a bubble her way.

"Hi Adi." Angel smiled. "It was a great train ride wasn't it." Angel was glad to be back at Hogwarts. "I wonder what the new Professors will be like, I'm going to miss Professor Hadley." Angel really thought it would be fun to spend time with the gang this term.
"It was amazing." Angel smiled at Lux as she listened to her friend. "How was your summer?" Angel then decided that she would try and distracted Lux from feeling sad. "We should do something this term, like have a girls day out or something, I'll see if AJ wants to do something." Angel thought that would be cool.
"Hi Puck!!" Angel smiled at Puck. "How are you today?" Angel looked around "Congratulations on becoming Prefect." Angel hadn't really met Puck before but she hoped that the fifth year would have a great year.
"This term is going to be awesome, I can tell." Angel smiled at Benny. "I'm going to sit with you and try and just spend a lot of time with you and hope that we can just have loads of fun and hang out with everyone." Angel really wanted to spend a lot of time with them.
Angel was just about to relax with Benny when she saw Abby. "Hi sis." Angel gave her sister a small smile, she had heard her sister had been saying things about her which she didn't like. "How are you?"

"I hope you are right," Ben commented at Angel's prediction of the upcoming term. As long as no freaky weather or aging disease or crazy fairy tale books messed up that positive thoughtful outcome. "Sounds like a good plan," he agreed with a smile. More time with her, as long as OWLs didn't pull him and Adi too much away. Something he very much hoped on down the line.
And there was one of Angel's sisters, but not the one Benny had expected. Abby was making her presence at the lion table and the fifth year couldn't help but wonder on the third Valentine. Benny let his gaze move from his girlfriend to give them a moment, yet kept an ear out for anything that might cause friction and trouble. He certainly had Angel's back over the girl he barely knew.
SPOILER!!: Lux

This so has to happen. We will have sooo much fun!" Hopefully AJ would be up for it, though she hadn't spotted her yet. Abby showed up, however, and that was nice because Lux hadn't seen her in ages. "Hello, Abby! How have you been?"
It seemed like Benny was a pretty nice guy, and Lux could see why Angel liked him. "Nice to meet you, Ben. Did you have a nice summer?" Hehe, she had been tempted to call him Benny, but since he didn't introduce himself as such, Lux wasn't sure if it was okay to call him that or if it was a nickname only certain people could call him.
Spotting Beverly join them, a wave was sent over to the Slytherin Prefect though the arrival of the Bloody Baron was rather unnerving. Yeah, he was the one House Ghost who still managed to unsettle her. Curiously she watched as Beverly walked away again, and figured that maybe she could say hello properly another time.
She stayed with the Ben and he was relieved for once. "And you as well," he agreed. Made things easier since both Adi and Angel knew her. "Uh huh, I did. Even though it feels good to be back here." More time with his studies and his friends made it so. Benny might have returned the question but she had already answered it from Angel previously so he switched gears. "Um...looking forward to the new term?"

I do believe it is about time I went down to watch a match myself this term."
It was always a little surprising to Ben how the ghost managed to to keep them all straight. It was like he was deputy head of house in his own way. "Yeah it is," he confirmed, reminded again of the exams at the end of term and the studying that would no doubt preceed it. As for the mention of extra curriculars and gobstones, the Gryffindor had to fight the urge to color at the compliment given by both Sir Nicholas and Professor Flamsteed by extension. "I certainly hope it doesn't either."
SPOILER!!: Zander

Benny really didn't do much talking, but Adi on the other hand was an entirely different story. Actually, maybe it wasn't that strange. Opposites did make great mates? Just take him and Kevin for example. Speaking of which KEVIN WHERE ARE YOU? "I'm glad to hear that," the bit about having a good summer holiday. Though the two didn't really talk all that often, Zander did consider his dormmate a friend. "And me, well.. I reckon I had a nice holiday as well... Got a lot done," he smiled. Like buying the cruppy and hanging out with Kevin, sneaking out to get icecream at midnight. "But I've missed this place." Couldn't keep him away for too long. Even after the disaster of a term last year.
At the sound of his name, he turned his head to see oh, his coPrefect. Merlin. Before just today he had only talked to Puck on a few occasions, but it seemed like he really hadn't stopped talking to her since the moment he boarded the train. But he wasn't complaining, actually he thought it was kind of nice... Getting to know her, you know? If they were going to be working together for the next three years and all... "Hiya, Puck," he gave her a small smile. "I-uh-thanks," he looked down for a moment, before looking back up at her. Still, slightly embarrassed every time someone said the 'congratulations' word. "You too, I think we'll make a great team." Or at least he hoped so.
As for Bianca... No actually, he hadn't seen her anywhere? The two weren't exactly friends, but still he had talked to her a few times. "Um, no I haven't.... But I'm sure she'll show up in a bit," it was still kind of early. She probably got stuck on the train or something. She'd probably show up right before food anyways, that's what Zander used to do on occasion. Skip the whole socialization part and get straight to the food. But now that he was a Prefect... He had to be here to help welcome the new firsties, though it seemed like everyone kept coming up to him so that task was getting to be a bit difficult at the moment. But anyways, back to Puck. "So... Is there something going on between you and that Ravenclaw Prefect, the Banner one? 'Cause on the train... Well... You know.." Yup. He noticed. And it was probably best to figure out what had gone down between the two of them before they were forced into making rounds with the other Prefects. It was a precaution, okay?
SPOILER!!: Lux! and a little bit of PUCK too
The Gryffindor smiled, though his pinks were still slightly pink. "Thanks again, Lux, and well... I hope so," he grinned at her. There had to be a reason why he was chosen and he knew that she was right. It was just a little unnerving at first, but he'd grow into the position at some point. At some point when it became habit to pin the badge onto his robes and not just a silly little routine he had to remember to follow every morning because a little letter told him too. "No one can replace Bay though," and hey, how was that guy? Zander hadn't really talked to him all that much last year. It was a shame really.
And then.... Puck happened. Really, he appreciated it, but it didn't mean he wasn't going to glow with even more embarrassment. "Well, you're going to be awesome too." They'd be awesome together. CoPrefects in crime. That's what she had said, right?
The Gryffindor couldn't help but nod in slight awe. Paris? That sounded wonderful. Zander was stuck at home all summer, well not really stuck at home, but essentially. He didn't get to go around to different countries. "Oh, Paris, that sounds really nice." He rocked around a little awkwardly, still not taking a seat as he was waiting for the arrival of his best mate. "What all did you do there?" Casual conversation was really taxing, okay?
The Gryffindor smiled brightly as he nodded in agreement, "Yeah, it is! I've been waiting to buy her for a few years now," but this time he finally did it. Even if he didn't exactly have permission from the parentals. But pft, details. Zander smiled at the mention of her dog, remembering that AJ had said something about that last year... Or was it the year before? Anyways, he was quite surprised to hear that she really enjoyed plants. "So you must love herbology then?" It was one of his personal favorite subjects actually. Only the Professor was absolutely horrible-- Speaking of which... Where was Wicked Walton anyways? Not that he was complaining, actually Zander's face lit up a little when he looked over to the staff table and noticed the missing Professor.
So okay... So much for introducing himself to the new first years... Or getting to know the others. Honestly, this Prefect business was difficult already. Hopefully there'd be more time in the Common Room for the big welcome though because with all these people swarming around him (or what felt like swarming), he could hardly think of introductions. Speaking of swarming, Kace! Oh Merlin, he was smirking. And Zander knew what that meant... He had seen the badge. You know, it might have been easier if he hid the badge for the feast and then pulled it out at some other point. That way he could deal with all the Prefect talk later, rather than having to worry about revealing it to all his friends at once. It was tiring really.
"Hey, Kace," he smiled, trying his best not to turn pink at the comment about the badge. Mr. Prefect. Merlin. "I-uh, yeah, I reckon I do have to live up to this thing," he said looking down at the badge. Admittedly, trying to live up to the title wasn't really the first thing on his mind. Before he had just been worried about making Professor Flamsteed proud and not letting Bay down, but now there was another thing to worry about. Joy. "Thanks, Kace," he said with a small smile. The boy was really only teasing him after all, it was harmless. "My summer was pretty great, I even got to practicing on the skate board Cinna let me keep," he remembered suddenly. And yes, yes he did bring it to Hogwarts with him. "Maybe we can practice together some time? And you can teach me some more tricks?" He had finally got the going straight forward thing right, now it was time to learn the fancy stuff. Mhm. "How was your summer?"
SPOILER!!: Timmyyyyyyy and Oliver (sorta but not quoted gah)and Puck aka the 'tomato-er'
The arrival of a few firsties to the table hadn't slipped Zander's notice. The Gryffindor even knew he should be going up to them and introducing himself as Prefect and all that, but with all these people around... It was a bit difficult. And uncomfortable. And tiring. But of course, his CoPrefect wouldn't let him get by that easy. Thanks, Puck. Well, at least they'd know she'd keep him in check. He was still in conversation with the older Hufflepuff when suddenly there was an arm wrapped around his shoulder. The Gryffindor turned around to see Puck. Surprise! Haha. Right, and she was talking to first years. One of which was wearing a set of green robes and though it was confusing, eh let the boy do what he wants.. It's the first day, no point in breaking his spirit yet.
The Gryffindor smiled awkwardly at the two firsties and willed himself not to get any pinker. Was it working? Probably not. "Yeah, I'm-uh, that's me, Zander," Puck had just said that, hadn't she? Oops. "Anyways," Awkward this was awkward. "It's my first year as Prefect too... And well, I'd love to help in anyway I can if you have questions about the place," he knew there was a lot that he didn't know his first year. So it was always nice having someone to turn to. It's why Zander was practically attached to Bay's hip the first few weeks of third year. No older student had really offered their help to him until them. "Oh and uh, Welcome to Gryffindor by the way, you'll love it here," and that was a promise. Even Zander had found his home here. And that was saying something.
And right as Zander finally had some time to breathe, it was just a little good to be true. He was being swarmed again. Well, okay not swarmed exactly, but-- oh, it was Adi! The Gryffindor didn't mind this one at all, so he gave the boy a small smile..... Wait... What had he just called him??? Zander the weird??? Uh. "Hiya... Adi... The weird?" Was this a two way nickname or something? 'Cause Zander was confused. Since when had Adi started calling him that?? As for getting used to the whole prefect thing? "Um, not really, I don't think I'll get used to it until Graduation probably.." he said with a small chuckle, though he was being completely serious. It hadn't sunk in yet, even though he was aware of the extra responsibility he had just at the feast alone. As for the crup though, Zander was glad to talk about that. "Well... I haven't exactly named her yet, so I have to call her noname temporarily," he smiled. "And she's super energetic and likes to get into trouble, so that's why I have to keep her in the play pens this term." It was kind of sad actually. He really wanted to be able to take her up to the Common Room and show her around. Zander nodded at the house ghost, almost tempted to give him a salute--something Professor Flamsteed might do-- but instead just smiled politely, letting his eyes travel over to the dais. Things looked like they were getting rather hectic over there? But he was then again snapped right back into the moment at the mention of a certain Professor. The fifth year immediately got pink in the cheeks-- as this had sort of become a common occurrence lately-- before opening his mouth to speak. "I-um-well-" or trying to speak really. In attempt to cover it up, the Gryffindor turned his stuttering into a couple of small coughs. "I um, well I certainly hope so, Sir Nicholas," FIRST OFF, how in the name of Merlin did this house ghost know about that?! Or was it just coincidence that he brought it up?! Oh sweet Merlin.
Benny nodded as Zander answered to the affirmative as well. It seemed the general consensus among those he had spoke to about their summer which admittedly wasn't many because he didn't talk to everyone he saw...but still. The mention of stuff getting done may have been curious to the fellow fifth year but Ben didn't push it. It was the prefect's own business and he didn't have to share if he didn't want to.
He did have to agree with missing Hogwarts though. "Yeah, it has its way of pulling on you." Trying to entice even the reluctant student to want to return badly.
SPOILER!!: Adi

Being a Social Badger was so much fun.
Benny wasn't stupid.
He knew the reason for the strong glance in his direction from Adi, inwardly bemused by the fact he had caught his best friend. Forgetting where the Gryffindor table was...yeah...sure. The later reason made better sense though and the Gryffindor felt sorry for the poor first year girl that had to have been thrown for a loop by her endevour but thankfully had a prefect so willing to help his fellow student.
"Good Prefect Adi..." he mused before suddenly finding himself in possession of a particular toad. "Hows that?" Ben questioned after positioning Gus on his own shoulder. There he could see all around his toady existance. More fun that way certainly.
Kace smiled at Emmy and gave her a reassuring squeezable arm hug. He kissed her cheek as a form of greeting back. He heard her apologizing about leaving the compartment and he held her hand and squeezed it. "Hey it is fine, I kind of figured why you left. I could feel the awkward tension between you and Lux." He shrugged and he didn't blame her. "But keep me posted next time." he winked and kissed her cheek yet again to let her know he wasn't mad. He would have done the same thing if he was in a compartment with someone he was mad with.
Now his attention turned to Cinna and he got the famous question everyone asked. He nodded and responded with, "Yeah I did! I heard you and Emmy hung out a lot which is good. I think you two need to spend more time together." He always thought Emmy was happier when she was hanging out with Cinna. "You excited for the new term?" he asked his lion best friend.
As he was finishing talking with Cinna he noticed a familiar face. He chuckled at Chance's way to make an entrance. "Hey mate.." he greeted him with a wave. "Long time no see. How did your summer go?" He was curious what his friend did over the summer. He wondered if he kept in touch with Braedon as well. "Also hungry hungry hippos is a great board game to play." he winked and chuckled.
Kace smiled and returned Savannah's hug and squeezed her a little bit more and released her. What could he say he was a hugger. He nodded and heard her explanation and that could be it. "Yeah she might have waited on the long line for the carriages. Luckily for me I know my way around the line." he winked. He knew the in and outs of the castle he would have to teach her and Sophia one day. "Oh yea I wish the tables were closer because then I could annoy you more and I could speak to my girlfriend over there..." he pointed to the little blonde next to Cinna. "I should introduce you to them buttt I will be nice and let you do it on your own time." he offered being the nice guy for today.
It does seem to get bigger and bigger she was quite right. "I think it does get bigger and bigger. I mean I think somehow the students are multiplying and it just makes the room looked more cramped. So tell me what did you do for the rest of your summer?" he asked curiously.
Now to turn his attention to one of the gryffindor prefects (Zander). He chuckled as he blushed accepting his huge title. "Hey mate don't sweat it. I mean look at how much cool stuff you will get to do.." he said trying to not let him get nervous. "Yeah you do have to live up to it but you get a plague with your name on it afterwards that is what happened to my sister." He remembered his sister being prefect for two terms. His eyes lit up when he mentioned he was practicing skateboarding. "That is great mate! Did Cinna show you any new tricks or are you sticking to the basics?" He needed to know so he could advance his skills. "Oh of course we can practice sometimes. I would LOVE to. I mean the weather is still nice so we have plenty of time before it snows."
Ooohooo now he wanted to learn new trick. He smirked and chuckled and said, "Sure we can. Just tell me what tricks you want to learn and I will see how much you have to pay for my services..." he winked and nudged him playfully. "Oh my summer? It went pretty well. I surfed a bit in Australia and did some skateboarding and did some sports. I didn't get a chance to go to the music festival but I mean I did my OWLS which weren't too bad." he shrugged listing a few things he did and didn't do during the summer time.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Kevin hated it that his reaction was getting slower because for the second time since they met, that Aegis kid pressed his finger against his lip to shut him up. The Gryffindor looked annoyed as he swatted his hand away and then rolled his eyes. "What? is she your girlfriend or something?" he laughed. Who wanted to date anyways? eww not him.
But just then Cinna came to say hello to the idiot next to him and she even waved at him. Normally, Kevin would either just 'sup nod or ignore it but this time something new happened.
He turned bright red! Clearly he was remembering the ...love potion incident... and the more he thought about how he had confessed his undying love for her and how she was the most beautiful in the whole galaxy , he had to look away. Hopefully that Aegis didn't catch this though because King Kevin Hirase was BLUSHING!

Puck grinned over to Emmy and waved back. “Hey Emmy how are you?” She asked excitedly and couldn’t help but grin when she heard Emmy congratulating Zander. When she called out to Cinna, Puck immediately looked over to her. “Hey Cinna how are you? How was your summer?” She asked excitedly. She grinned over, "Cinna I still can't believe that I am a Prefect" she laughed and rolled her eyes excitedly.

He looked around, hoping to find Zander anywhere but when he saw him greeting everyone and how they all congratulated him made him feel kind of lonely. He had always been pretty lonely due to the fact that he pushes people away but it hit him more now. He sighed heavily and was about to sit down when the person next to him fell on the ground.
HMMM?

Like he cares about Zander anyways. His eyes fixated on the Gryffindor Girl who was their prefect. Aegis quickly threw his finger to his New Rival's Lips. "Shush your Face IKB. Put the Fairy Tales on the Back Burner... You got anymore stories about Puck?" This was a Topic he could pay attention too. Aegis wondered if the other Girl Prefects were as pretty as Puck was?
Puck glanced up when she heard a THUMP noise. Puck glanced over where the noise had occurred and was about to ask if he was okay when she heard him commenting about not meaning to lean back that far. That, and Kevin was already talking to him. Puck grinned over to the two and WAS going to ask if he was okay when she as distracted…and completely missed the comments about who she was.

But, seriously now. Fooood?
Of course, what distracted her was A-W-E-S-O-M-E very awesome. Because obviously Lux was an awesome friendly distraction, she grinned over to her. “Really? Gryffindor robes are a great addition to your obviously Gryffindor self.” Seriously, she loved the girl. “Hey, I think that would be great you know…if Flamsteed wouldn’t be that…aware of everyone today I’d smuggle you in tonight” she grinned over to her.
Puck laughed rather loudly when she heard Chance’s exclamation and grinned. “Hungry Hippo eh?” She asked grinning over to her. “Hey Chance!” She grinned over to him, “how was your summer?” She chuckled and smirked over to her friend. “Oh, any new interesting stories?” She asked excitedly.
“oh Chance! You have to meet Damien,” she grinned between the two. “there was sniffing. There so was sniffing. You cannot deny your bat-tendencies” she grinned over to him obviously sassing him. “Yeah I saw her earlier she tried to use me as a ladder again,” Puck laughed and chuckled. Puck laughed honestly laughed when Damien nudged her and nudged him back. “ugh….I can’t wait for the food” she groaned and chewed on her lip. Okay...things with the fallen guy had quieted down but she still wanted to be nice. "Do you ugh...need ice?" She asked trying to be a bit of a prefect because she kind of was one.

Abby blushed and said "Well spending my free time in Diagon Alley and well thinking about my boyfriend" Abby knew that Angel didnt know that she had a boyfriend and she had only been seeing Tyler since the end of last term but she loved him so much she hoped that Angel could meet him one day during the year
Angel smiled at her sister. "Oh that is good, hopefully one day I can meet him." Angel hoped that he would treat her sister right. "What you doing at the start of term, we should do something."

This so has to happen. We will have sooo much fun!" Hopefully AJ would be up for it, though she hadn't spotted her yet.
Angel smiled at Lux. "I bet she will be and then we can go and have loads of fun, maybe I can try and do your hair for you?" Angel giggled, she had never tried doing someone's hair but she thought it would be a laugh to do Lux's. "Don't worry if I go wrong I'm sure someone can fix it." Angel would do her best not to get it wrong though. "And maybe you can do my nails."

"You'll be an amazing Prefect." Angel beamed, she was seriously sure of it. "I think that you are going to go down as one of the best prefects ever." Angel missed Alexa but well people had to move on, in a few terms she would be doing her owls and Benny would be leaving which would be such a shame but she had a few years left before that happened so she wouldn't worry too much at the minute. "So what did you do over the summer?"

Almost spoiled enough for the ghost's liking before the house elves had come and cleaned it up. "I trust yours was far superior?"
Angel smiled at Sir Nicholas. "Well sounds like you had fun, I'm glad." Angel really thought that the house ghost was cool. "I had an amazing summer, I got to spend time with my Benny-B..." Angel stopped, nope he didn't need to know her nickname for the fifth year. "I mean I spent time with Adi, AJ and Benny." Angel looked down the table to see if she could see her sister. "So what plans you got this term?" Angel thought it would be polite to ask.

[/COLOR]
"Sounds like your wait was worth it." She had always been told that those who waited got what they wanted in the end, though if you didn't wait you got it sooner which confused her like crazy but the saying was there for a reason she was sure of it and well Zander had gotten what he wanted in the end.
"Herbology is amazing." Angel beamed. "I've got my own private plants and Professor Bentley said when I've left school we can go on an exploration together." Angel missed her old head of house like crazy, though Professor Flamsteed was an amazing head of house, she wasn't good at Astronomy unfortunately.
"I can't wait, I've been wanting to go to the Amazon rainforest for ages so that I can see what different plants they have over there." Angel was totally going to do her best to go exploring when she is older. "What about you, do you like Herbology?"

"Hellooooo, everybody," he grinned, sliding into a seat at the table. Let's be friends.
"Hey." Angel smiled, she thought she might as well get to know some more first years. "So what do you think of Hogwarts so far?" Angel was a bit confused she hadn't seen many new Gryffindor's yet though she was sure she would see some later. "So what are you looking forward to the most?" Angel just couldn't wait for lessons to start again, she loved Herbology and Muggle Studies because she was good at that subject.

Angel giggled at Adi. "I know I am." Angel gave him her best diva face and pose. "But what are you?" Angel stuck her tongue out of her big bro. "I know what you mean, at least you didn't have to drag me to your carriage." Angel thought that it would be cool to see what her sister did if Adi ever tried to get into another carriage without her. "Same it's not going to be the same now Professor Hadley has left." Angel was going to miss her as a Professor, even though she didn't know her that much.

And there was one of Angel's sisters, but not the one Benny had expected. Abby was making her presence at the lion table and the fifth year couldn't help but wonder on the third Valentine. They had recovered after the last opening feast...right? After the Ian fiasco. Benny let his gaze move from his girlfriend to give them a moment, yet kept an ear out for anything that might cause friction and trouble. He certainly had Angel's back over the girl he barely knew.
Angel looked at her boyfriend. "Yeah I am sure we are going to be in for a nice term." Angel winked, she couldn't wait to spend time with him. "I'm going to help you ace your OWLS." Angel had no idea if she could but she could try right. "I'm going to be asking you questions when you least expect it, so get prepared." Angel giggled, this was going to be really funny.
Angel then realised that Benny was going to protect her if she needed it, though she had a feeling that she wouldn't be needing it at all. "I'm fine." Angel smiled as she gave his hand a small squeeze before letting it go. She then watched him turned away and smiled... he was the best boyfriend in the whole world and she was going to totally do what she could to make sure this term was totally amazing.

Abby smiled at Angel and said "I am sure you will meet him soon Angel and well i have got nothing planned for the start of term yet, why are you asking Angel" Abby wanted to spend time with Tyler but she knew she had to spend time with her sisters as well
The doors were closed, the food set on the table and the Gryffindor badge pinned firmly on her robes. Gryffindor? Amur rubbed her palm against the top of her head, only messing up her hair more than the hat had already done. She wasn't sure what sort of heads it had sat on before her, but the house wasn't the one she had expected. She wasn't a ferocious lion. Actually, until now she had never even considered what type of animal she might be akin to. She was Amur. Amur Neverwinter.
And a Gryffindor.
Seriously, what did that hat see in people? HOW could it see into people? She had nearly pried it off her head to take a look inside and see what sort of mechanism it utilized to decide. Her father had said that it was a random sort, not based on personality or any such folly. No, he said that one of the teachers would charm it every year and had a quota of students to fill each house with. He had even written an article on it.
But she had watched the teachers, at least as much as she could while the others were being sorted, and they seemed much more interested in their own endeavors of roses and cats than any sort of color-to-character matching. Maybe she would ask them later.
For now, she was tasked with walking into the lions den to satisfy the growling that was starting to get rather noisy in her tummy. Her long robe shuffled along the floor behind her, a pitiful swish-swish noise that could hardly herald a lion. Good thing she didn't want any heralding. In fact, all the noise and people were starting to make her a little bit wide eyed. She wasn't used to so many conversations flying around all at once, and she was used to a rather noisy and expressive family, so that was saying something.
Sinking onto an empty spot at the edge of the bench, Amur slowly turned herself to face the table proper, her little fingers resting on the wood as she turned slightly to look down the length of the table. That was a lot of food. And a lot of hands in the food.
Pivoting back forward, she automatically reached for the first thing in front of her and put it on her plate. It clattered there, rather obnoxiously, before it's identity sunk in. A cookie. She was to have a cookie for dinner then.
Vinnie made her way to the gryffindor table hoping to find her best friends there. She had no clue how she had ended up with TWO gryffindors as best friends but she wasn't complaining. They were the best for putting up with her and she really really loved them. Without Isla and Phoenix the last months would have been even more of a hell.
Looking around the brunette couldn't find them so she decided to sit down and wait for one of them to turn up. Students sat down at other house tables all the time, it shouldn't be an issue. the Slytherin really didn't feel like being at her table. There was too much going on and she had to concentrate on other things....or be distracted. By the right people.

Big Masters thinkking Tippin will stay in the kietchen, nooooosssssss he wont. *pop* sneakering behind this little master I am, and theres a COOKIE!!!! move around the feets nice a slow to grabbys the cookie. "This will be yummy" squeaking and moving under the big table Tippin will eat this cookie, that he found. hehehehehehe.

It wasn't that she was unobservant, no, but easily distracted. So easily distracted that her vision became like a tunnel and the noise of the feast turned to a din. What was she to do with this cookie? Eat it? That wasn't exactly proper, especially at a welcoming feast. Cookies were for desert or snacks, not for the main course.
A hesitant peep around showed her that no one really seemed to notice, or care. There were desserts piled on plates equally as loaded with main course items. Bread rolls hung beside pudding, cakes sat next to chicken and whatever that red jelly like pastry was sat upon peas. It was a strange form of eating, but one Amur supposed she could get used to.
After all, it would be okay to have a treat, right? That, and she wasn't quite brave enough to roar for someone to pass the pickles. Some lion she would make.
Letting out a slow breath, she turned her attention back to her plate only to find an hand blindly reaching up from under the table. Unbelieving, wide-eyed Amur leaned forward, watching the hand pad around her plate before the long, spindly fingers latched onto her cookie. Quick as a snake it retreated, taking her cookie with it and it was only then that Amur's reaction clicked in.
It was a high-pitched squeal of delayed surprise, one that sent her tumbling heels-over-head backwards off the bench. She landed on her hands and knees, robes and hair a-mess about her and the initial shock wearing thing. Panting, and sputtering hair out of her mouth, Amur pushed back some of her robes and pressed her chin against the floor to see better what was under the table.
It was then that she saw the beady eyes, and her second line of response kicked in. "HEY! That's my cookie!"
And she took off scrambling after the thing, squeezing her way under the bench to try and retrieve her precious meal. Now that she had decided she was going to eat it, she wouldn't let it go so easily.
