The dance floor, which is situated on the stage which is usually reserved for the staff dais, is the perfect space from which to mingle and enjoy the night. With a clear view of the house tables, candles, house coloured balloons and banners, it amplifies the atmosphere and is the perfect place to party away and show your fellow alumni that you still have the moves - or still don't. The music played is catered to individual taste, don't hesitate to make requests from the self-DJing sound system, or simply enjoy the mix it has to offer. In addition to this, the refreshment and buffet table are strategically positioned in front of the stage so that as you descend the few stairs to regroup, you can grab an energy-packed pick-me-up to refuel. It is asked though, that you refrain from taking drinks onto the dance floor.

Whiggy, Huh? "Who you calling Whiggy," she said as she playfully poked him in the chest.
"I love you too," Mads smiled happily back. He never thought he would marry his Hogwarts sweetheart, but he was sure glad he had. Another thought entered his mind, "The girls will be first years next year, darling. How are they this old already?" His beautiful twin daughters. He couldn't believe it.
"Oh, forgot...I'm the only one who knows your real name anymore." He grinned wickedly. "Whigalima." He was so glad their kids had relatively normal names. Though he did like calling her Whiggy.

He enjoyed dancing with her when they had opportunity but he didn't see himself as a competitor or that good. Still, he couldn't tell if she was joking or not. Ethan couldn't help but to grin at the kiss on his cheek and hearing her words. "Feeling a bit nostalgic?" He wouldn't mind that himself as there were quite a few places around the castle and its vicinity that held special memories for them. "I'm sure we could visit some places." Maybe not disturb any classes but the whole castle wasn't off limits, right?
He could look back on some things about his final year here and laugh. Not all, but some like the deplorable condition the castle had been in. "Right.. Mum sent up some actual silverware and plates and things," he chuckled. He remembered deliberately leaving a few things out so as not to worry his parents but there had been some obvious financial issues. He knew that Min had said things were better the next year though the turnstiles were still at the Quidditch games when he came to visit.
Hmm, odd. He almost got the feeling that he had said something wrong, though she was the one who brought up it being nice to see old professors. Though there were a couple he was sure she wouldn't want to see either so maybe that realization had hit her. As she put her head on his shoulder, Ethan put his arm around her tighter to hold her closely to him as they danced to the slower song. He liked those ones best.
She laughed as they continued to dance, "Well you'd still dance with your wife. I didn't mean dancing with someone else." Keeping her head on his shoulder as they danced the slower pace, she could really do this all night if they were able to. She loved being in his arms on a dance floor. "We have that charity function I've been working on in December, we'll have to really start practicing a bit." It was exciting to think about dancing with him again like they had a few years ago at her mother's event. Looking back up a grin crossed her face, "I think I am." for more reasons then one she had to admit. "I hope so, that would be nice to walk through the corridors and see a few places again."
"Oh that's right." She chuckled thinking about his mother sending those things. She had been so good to Min even back when she didn't have to be. Her thoughts moved to the summer right after Ethan graduated and the explanations to his parents of things that went on that term, the ice cream, the detention, many things she would have liked to forget. "Never a dull moment here, was there?" She tried to make light of the situation, but in all reality she knew his last term wasn't the best, though the ending of hers was certainly not a breeze either.
Hearing the pace change to a little faster again she lifted her head, "Are you having fun?" That was a way to change the professor conversation she figured, "We could always go get some food if you are tired of dancing." It wouldn't be very nice to force him all night out on the dance floor, though she could dance a few more songs if he was up for it.

It was just hard not to wonder what their children were up to, especially knowing Caden was with Autumn. Even at nearly four, she had a feeling they were going to be inseparable. Not that she minded, considering it just meant more instances of visiting with Risa while Matt was at work. He quite obviously wasn’t now, though, and she knew she ought to be enjoying their time away instead of wondering what their babies were up to. “Why do I have a feeling that will be the only time you admit you think that?,” she replied, lightly teasing him over the compliment to her best friend. She knew he’d understand. Just as she knew he would have never forbidden her from seeing Risa if he hadn’t decided the redhead wasn’t as irritating as he’d originally thought. Besides, they got plenty of alone time these days, even if it was just moments before bed. It was just times away from home together that were scarce, and why the reunion was welcome.
Even if his little tacked-on hope brought back those thoughts about what the kids were getting up to. “I doubt Risa would let her get to any permanent markers,” she said, vaguely. She didn’t quite know where Cameron had gotten the one at home for that matter, yet she had. The fact couldn’t be changed now, although a little paint did wonders with fixing the damage. They were just lucky the other two weren’t quite as troublesome. She knew Matt wasn’t just thinking of the one twin, though. He just wasn’t admitting that he was just as concerned about Kieran, if not moreso. Part of her couldn’t wait until all of them got older, just to see what would happen. Just to see how protective he’d get over his little princess. “Weren’t we all different when we were eleven?,” she asked. “I know my mother’s told you stories about when I was tiny too. Everything I got into with Risa.” She didn’t know it for a fact, but she knew there was every chance her mother had. Especially during that last term when she’d still been here at Hogwarts and Matt had been in France. She didn’t begrudge him for that odd friendship he had with her mother. It was an artist thing.
Sure it might have actually been the first time that Matt voiced his true thoughts about Risa but Stella had to know by now that he really hadn’t thought too badly about her best friend despite the earlier negativity which had resulted during visits to France before the whole marriage happened though that really was over now and he just thought that the spunky redhead had been both an interesting woman but also a great mother. It really was the whole reason that he had absolutely no issue with the kids spending time there plus Caden liked Autumn, he wasn’t about to separate the two when they clearly got along and pretty much were the best of friends despite both only being four years old. He merely grinned at his wife after she made her comment because he knew one hundred percent that she had been kidding. “Well you know.. it probably might be the only time. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think negatively. It’s just, at times I’m not entirely the best with expressing my feelings involving certain people.” he explained.
His feelings for Stella were usually mentioned through songs or something of that sort, but that hadn’t meant that he didn’t tell her how he felt, it was just one of those weird things that really didn’t need to be explained by anyone seeing as it just was. Simple as that. Had definitely not been like his reasoning to call Kieran his little princess because there was a story there, not saying that he wasn’t thinking highly of Cameron either it was just something about his daughter that made him even more protective now. When she grew up, there would be a lot of questions asked and boys turned away since they weren’t good enough for her and if that was weird then so be it. Snapping back to the previous conversation, he started remembering the stories that he heard from his wife’s mother about her when she was little and honestly they were pretty hilarious. “Basically yes, though I was still an artist when I was 11. Even if it was mostly pencil crayons still and not getting to use ink because my mom thought that it would go everywhere.” She wasn’t wrong either, he wouldn’t have trusted his eleven year old self with ink either.

Did you know that the first time I met her, I got the impression she disliked me?” He could still vividly remember the day he had come across young Gwen doing some sketches. “Have you heard from her recently?” Oh yes, he did have one question not relating to his friends. “Have I improved on my dance moves?”
Both his comment on her giggling AND the "Future Mrs. Stonewall" caused Ronnie to giggle even more, her cheeks reddening slightly. Oh, the blushing. Since day one of them getting together, it had never really gone away. But it didn't bother her now as much as it used to. "Aw, jeez," She said, chuckling. "I think you have a nice giggle too." The red head said before giving him a small peck on the cheek.
Ronnie smiled sheepishly. "Yeah, maaaybe..." She wasn't going to fully admit it.
"Did you really? I don't think I recall you telling me that." Ronnie laughed, wondering why he had thought that. Gwen was so nice and sweet and seemed to like just about everyone! "Why's that?" She questioned, cocking her head slightly. She then shook her head sadly at his next question. "No, I haven't sadly." Sigh.
Laughing, she shrugged. "Maybe a little. I think we're finally on the same level of dancing skills." She gave him a wink.

It seemed like only yesterday they were newborns and now they were almost ready for school. "I don't want them to leave." They were her babies.
"Uh huh." Rolling her eyes, she was amused. "My real name is Lima." Pfft. He was not supposed to call her by that other name though she didn't mind it in the least. "Maddy." Hah!

It was all teasing. Stella knew that Matt didn’t honestly dislike her best friend; it was just that they’d sort of gotten off on the wrong start way back when he’d first visited France back when they were dating. Besides, she’d always known Risa was a bit much for some people. No matter how amusing she found the fact the redhead had ended up with Joshua, she found it surprising as well that he could handle her. Hence why she’d told Matt that she thought Risa had mellowed a bit when she’d convinced him to allow her to babysit. Of course, she could have just used plan b when it came to that argument as well. If she’d told Caden he might be able to go over to Autumn’s for the night, the nearly four-year-old would have done her job for her. She’d known that, but she’d also known that Matt practically couldn’t say no to her. Just like she’d known he would have understood her teasing, and she’d grinned back at him as he’d spoken. “I doubt that,” she replied, still teasing. “But I’ll promise that I won’t tell her what you said either way.” It was too amusing to let the dynamic between the two continue as it had been.
There wasn’t any reason to change any of what her life had turned into. She was perfectly content with how it was now. Even with Matt being as busy as he was, so sometimes she didn’t see him until dinnertime or later, she knew he loved her and he loved the kids. There was no question of that, especially when it came to Kieran. It was a little like her situation when it came to Caden, yet she loved all their kids rather equally. She just would always be a bit closer with her first-born, and somehow Matt had attached himself to the second. That was what Kieran was, even if only by like a minute, and she knew there would be a struggle to convince Cameron that she wasn’t left out. A struggle that was already underway, considering her daughter was already proving to want to embody the terrible twos. Everything would work out, though. She knew that. Just as she knew Matt was likely remembering those stories she’d referred to right now, but not speaking about them. What he knew about her childhood didn’t matter, since he was still hers, and she knew plenty of stories about his as well. “I can’t say I’d disagree with her decision. Either way, you turned out perfectly,” she said, boosting herself up to lightly kiss him. She didn’t care if they were still out on the dance floor. Nobody else was paying attention to them anyhow.

"I don't giggle,'' Jory remarked but abandoning all talk of giggles to focus on the redness creeping up on Ronnie's cheek. Smiling broadly, he said, "This is never going to change.'' He lightly touched one of Ronnie's cheeks. She had done a lot of this during their days at Hogwarts.
"I didn't? Well, yes. That's the impression I got and I can tell you, I didn't like her at first either. She seemed cold and distant.'' But that had changed and they had become really good friends. She had been practically the only one he had seen after they graduated. "Maybe I'll owl her soon.''
It was Jory's turn to laugh. "I doubt that. You're better at it than I am.'' He still felt awkward when it came to dancing but Ronnie made it easier for him.

With the abrupt end of the entertainment at the music festival over the summer, Simon hadn't had the chance to invite Angelina to a dance while they had been there. Something she had seemed eager to do then but had missed the opportunity. Most likely because of him since he hadn't been quick to assist. But now there was another option and the former quidditch captain wasn't going to allow himself this chance.
When they had been free from other companionship, Simon took her hand and lead her back up the familiar aisle between the tables towards the makeshift dance floor. Likely the only time he would ever be on the dias that usually held the staff table. He didn't remember any time he's been there as a student...not even the pirate fight. "Shall we have this dance, mlady?" he asked rhetorically with a slight bow of his head.

Wasn't surprising that Theo didn't bother to applaud, it made Cassia laugh. "How did they ever make you Head Boy," She teased.
Closing the space between them, she leaned closer and rested her head on his chest. "Mhm, we were," It seemed like a whole different lifetime. "Sometimes I wish that you had, but then you wouldn't have sent me that cute letter," she grinned up at him and stood on her toes to place a kiss on his cheek. High-heels advantages.
"Absolutely." He actually would do that for her. Not that any of his opinions would REALLY have any impact on their choices. He liked to think they did, though. "You should make up a portfolio of your work!" That'd show promise. "Or something."
How rude! He made a fake!shocked face. But actually she was right. "That's a good question. Been asking myself that since it happened." Theo chuckled. Especially since he was on Lafay's 'list' for a couple of years. "The natural CHARM helps, I suppose." And he had the best hair in school, which also helped. Of course.
Theo BLUSHED at the mention of the letter. "Don't remind me about that." He smiled at the cheek kiss, and responded with a peck on her lips before nuzzling his nose into her hair. "Are we being really antisocial right now, orrr?" Heh. Yes, they were.
