If anything made Hogwarts that little bit better, it was the creatures. Well, they were tied with the plants really, but Toby really did very much love the animals that lived out here. Despite feeling maybe not quite so enthusiastic at all about much else at the moment, he always looked forward to any time he got to spend with or learning about these creatures.

It was cold. Usually that never really posed a problem for Toby, being that he was generally so bouncy and always in motion and could warm himself up pretty quick. But today he arrived at the barnyard in an oversized jacket on over his uniform (his robes had been stuffed into his schoolbag earlier that day), half his face hidden by the the too-big coat. Seeing Thompson, Toby headed on over, his fidgety fingers all the while fiddling with his Hufflepuff scarf.

"Hi sir," Tobias said, voice kind of muffled from the coat and scarf combo, as gave the professor a nod in greeting. And then he simply stood there. Waiting and absent-mindedly fidgeting and being quiet and maybe fantasising just a little bit going to find Monty the Hippogriff and making a bid for freedom with him. The daydream kept him pretty occupied, so that eventually he was just sort of staring into space with a sort of wistful expression on his face, already quite distracted.

It was BRISK, but nice, and he totallllyyyy liked creatures and things, so he was UBER excited for today's lesson. What fun stuff would they get to do today? Hhmmmm?

Grin in place, and hands deep in his robes pockets, Zeke arrived at the barnyard to see Professor Thompson standing outside - eating a tomato no less. And Puffer-dude-Toby!... he got a wave. HI.

"Hey, Professor! Wassup?" he greeted, pausing just short of him. They had to wait yes? They couldn't just waltz in and play with whatever was there, right? RIGHT?... ahem.

It was beautiful outside. A bit chilly but Hady liked it like that. It was nice and refreshing, kept her alert. Making her way towards her creatures lesson she pulled a hair tie from one of her pockets before pulling her hair back off her face and into a high half ponytail. Making sure it was tight first she then fixed the flower in her hair through the hair tie to insure it wouldn't fall out. There perfect.

Totally ready now for class she quickened her steps smiling as she got to where she needed to be. Spotting the Professor at the gates she waved. "Hello, Professor Thompson" Hady greeted cheerfully. What would they be learning about today? Woud they get to work with something really cool again?

Angel walked towards the lesson and sighed, she wasn't really keen on animals but her sister and friends totally loved the lesson and her boyfriend Benny well it was his favourite lesson she thought so she decided that she would come so she could spend time with him, she looked around to see if he was there but she couldn't see him

"Hello, Professor Thompson, How are you today?" Angel smiled politely at the Professor, she totally couldn't wait to see what they would be learning today, she hoped it would be something cool.

Adi happily and excitedly made his way to the barnyard, very much not bothered by the chill. He was dressed for it anyway but Care of Magical Creatures! Woot! Eh... where were those signs? Adi had hardly wondered that when he spotted Professor Thompson leaning against the wall.

"Hello, Professor,'' the Hufflepuff said with a grin. Could they get started soon? Could they? COULD THEY? It was quite unlike him to be this impatient. Oh looky! Classmates! Tobias, Zeke and Hady all got a wave from him. As for Angel, she got her big brother as he went to stand next to her. "Hi, Angelfish.''

Janelle was so excited for Care of Magical Creatures Class that she ran almost the whole way to he barnyard. When she arrived she gave a cheerful greeting to the man in charge. "Hello Professor", she said with a smile. She continued on, wondering what type of animals they would get to work with today.

Then Janelle noted that she had achieved her goal of being one of the first students in class. Seeing Angel or at least she hoped it was Angel this time, Janelle walked toward her. "Hi there", she said to her former partner. "How's it going." Angel had been nice enough to partner with her in Muggle Studies and Janelle had really enjoyed thes class. Then she looked around to see if any of her other friends had arrived yet. Oh and there was Adi. Janelle gave him an enthusiastic wave.

Angel was just standing there when suddenly Adi came and stood next to her. "Hi Adi." Angel smiled as she looked at him. "How are you?" Angel wondered if Benny and AJ would turn up soon, she was about to ask Adi a few more things when suddenly one of her new friends turned up.

"Hi Janelle." Angel smiled as Janelle came over to her. "It's going great." Angel said truthfully. "How's things going with you?" Angel was totally enjoying herself at the minute though she was wondering where Benny was she had been sure that he would have been the first one here along with Adi since they both enjoyed this lesson.

Ah another Care of Magical Creatures class.

Despite the chill in the air as he stepped out of doors, Benny was excited about the lesson of course. No doubt whatever was to be happening would make up for being outside in it, he mused to himself as he absently pulled his scarf tighter. Crossing the grounds to the familiar barnyard, the Gryffindor spotted not only his friends but the professor himself already there in place. "Good morning, Professor," he greeted with a polite nod of acknowledgement.

The fifth year then made his way over to Adi and Angel with a small smile. "Hey guys." Surely the Hufflepuff felt the same way he did as they waited.

Lux always liked Care of Magical Creatures, so she was eager to see what they would be learning about today. Hopefully it would be fun!

Dressed warmly, she made her way to the barnyard, curious as to why there were no signs. But look, it was Professor Thompson eating a tomato. "Hello, Professor!" Big grin.

A few people had arrived, and she waved to Toby, Zeke, Adi, Angel, Hady, and Benny. The Ravenclaw girl (Janelle) Lux did not know got a friendly wave too. "Hello, guys!"

Wishing Bay was there too - like always - she waited for the lesson to begin.

Despite the chilly weather, Beverly made her way down to Care of Magical Creatures without a groan or a wiggle of her nose. There was no way she was going to miss it. She'd rather skip Arithmancy. Put number on scale with magical creatures and that latter was sure to win.

Pausing briefly to greet the professor, her words got sort of stuck on her throat. Tomato. Number three on her enemy's list; unexpected is what it was. Quickly recovering, she grinned a small grin. "Good day, Professor Thompson." It was nice to see he was still here. New faces weren't easy to get accustom to.

There were a few familiar faces here already. She shot Aditya and Janelle a friendly wave and went to wait next to a tiny Slytherin (Hady). She seemed like a cheerful one and Beverly needed all the cheer in her life. "Hello, there."

Creatures time. This was one class that she wouldn't be getting to on time by the skin of her teeth. Her whole walk down here she thought of nothing more than unicorns. The professor had pretty much promised her last year that they would be present sooner or later. And it was later.

As she made her way over to where the class was going to be held, she noticed the professor was gnawing on a tomato. Who did that? A chocolate frog, sure, but a tomato! Gag! "Hello, professor." No judgements here. You eat that fruit that should really be a vegetable. Liessss.

As she walked further over to the students that were already gathered there, AJ saw that she was the last one of the gang to get there. Figures. Even if she wasn't running completely behind, she hardly ever beat them anywhere. "Hey," she said to everyone, but stood closer to her boyfriend.

Caleb LOVED creatures, but he was not the biggest fan of creatures in the winter. Because of the cold and whatnot...still, it usually helped that there was a fire or something to keep them warm. No such luck today...for the time being. And was Thompson eating a tomato?? That was an odd snack choice.

"Hello Professor," the prefect said with a polite smile as he entered class.

As Angel came over, Janelle answered her question. "Everthing's fine with me. I'm enjoying my classes so far.". The truth was, things had been going very well. Janelle just hoped that things would continue on that way. As more students arrived, she saw more familiar faces. Then she got a wave from the red head (Lux) she had seen, but did not know. Janelle waved back, making a mental note to introduce herself to the girl when she had a chance.

Janelle got a wave from another of her class partners. With a wave in return, she said, "Hi Beverly". The Prefect got a huge smile along with her wave. Beverly had really helped Janelle in Arithmancy when she was pretty much clueless. She had found the Prefects she'd met to be very nice and super helpful. Now Janelle hoped to get to know the Ravenclaw duo.......'cause.......her own Prefects and all.

Care of creatures. It was the one class she had been uber excited to start. It was right up her alley. All things her. So on and so forth.

Amur had practically run all the way down from floor seven to the barnyard. There was no way she would miss this class. By all those gathered already, it seemed like she wasn't the only one eager for the lesson.

Coming to a halt at the side of the group, Amur grinned widely even as she worked to catch her breath. "Hi Professor."

She peered around, hopeful to see some sign of what they might be getting up to today.

Agatha didn't mind Care of Magical Creatures so much because they got to do practical stuff and she liked those. At least in this lesson the practical part didn't always involve stupid spells she couldn't perform.

"Hello." She greeted professor Thompson and walked past him, going straight to where Beverly was. The girl was standing near a smaller Slytherin (Hady), which Agatha didn't mind either. "Hi."

Care of Magical Creatures time. He actually liked this class because it was interesting to see how many creatures were there in the wizarding world. As he made his way down to the grounds, he noticed a few students were already there. He even noticed a slight chill in the air but the sun was making him warm. It was a great day to be outside. He smelt the fresh air and then he noticed the Professor was standing there.

He waved to him and said, "Hello Professor. Got something interesting to show us today?" He was curious to know what they were learning today. As he greeted the teach, he sat down and waited for everyone else to come.

Following the other students with a few steps away from them, Kevin walked alone with his hands in his pockets to shield them from the cold. The weather wasn't bad but it could have been better. As he arrived at the back of the barnyard he saw the Professor waiting for them with folded arms. As he past him, the Gryffindor kept looking forward, then narrowed his eyes and gave a side glance and walked further. Until he remembered his conversation with Professor Quigley and he groaned in annoyance because he didn't want another stupid detention since he already was at a risk of a suspension. He walked back backwards and looked at the man again. "Hello" nothing more and he tried not to roll his eyes as he walked further.

Now , where was Zander?

Evie nearly ran her way down to the barnyard. She was all bundled up in sweaters and scarfs to keep warm and her hands were tucked in her pockets as she arrived at the class. She was particularly excited for this class today. Despite the cold, she enjoyed being outside and being around the animals. She was EXCITED to see what he had planned for them today!

"Hi professor," she greeted cheerfully as she walked towards him, staying several feet short. Was that a tomato he was eating? How odd.

FAVORITE CLASS FAVORITE CLASS. He was SO ready for this. You know why? Because he hadn't really spent as much time worrying about his Creatures OWL, so he wasn't already sick of the subject. Unlike Runes, Arithmancy, and basically everything else. After reading all those books, it was a wonder how Ravenclaws don't get sick of these things. So despite the chilled weather, Zander had a smile on his face as he walked over towards the crowd of people.

Merlin, how was everyone always so early? This place was hard to get to, okay? Not like it was easily accessible being outside 'n all. Bunch of magicians these lot were.

Anyways. Making his way towards the Creature's man himself, the Gryffindor gave him a HUGE smile. "Hello, Professor. Thanks for letting me keep my cruppy in the stables by the way, I... I didn't really have a chance to properly thank you 'n all yet," But he was doing it now and that's what really counted, right? Riiiiiiight? Right.

Now where to-- Kevin was already here! O____O Wait. Kevin was already here? Since when did the boy show up to class early? Strange. Eh, whatever. No worries, Kev, goober #2 is here to keep you company. As always.

Oh hey! Her friends well, some of her friends were already there. Now she really wanted to see who else would be there as gave a little nod and wave to Lux, Toby, Zeke, Adi, Angel, Caleb, Benny, and well really everyone. Really, it looked like she was stuck waving but she wasn’t she was just in a good mood.

She gave Amur and Agatha smiles as well because hey why not? Kace got a giant grin as she practically threw herself down in a seat relatively close to him. Looking around the area she couldn’t help but smile at everyone and even the Professor of course.

“Hello Professor Thompson!” She grinned and sent a smile to the girl who just walked into the room. “Hi” she smiled to Evie because really Evie seemed like a cool person from the other classes she had had with her. Kevin of course got a nod. “Hey Hirase,” she grinned and then spotted her CoPrefect and gave him a little ‘sup nod. Wait that wasn’t like her at all….what was going on? Nothing of course she was just being friendly.

To prove she was extra herself she just looked around the room and sent another nod to a friend. “Hey Caleb,” grinning of course cause that was normal. She was grinning and shivering in her robes and scarves. “Is Emmy joining us today?” Puck asked Kace as she shivered slightly. Really. If someone sat next to her she’d probably give them the biggest warmth stealing hug ever.

CREATURE TIME CREATURE TIIIIME! Norah grinned as she reached Professor Thompson, saying, "Hello, Professor!" and squishing her way to the front of a group of students because SHORT PERSON ALERT. She wanted to seeeee all the cool stuff. Because Creatures meant cool stuff. Duh. After giving a little wave to Adi, Kace, Zeke, and Hady, the third year put her hands in her pockets for chilly reasons and faced the front. Oh hey. And Yoo-Rainus guy. Hiiii Yoo-rainus guy. BUT WHEN WERE THE COOL THINGS COMING?

It wasn’t Potions, but there was no way Brooklyn was going to miss Care of Magical Creatures. Not after what she’d gotten to do last term, and it didn’t even matter that the weather was kind of cold. She was getting more used to the weather at Hogwarts, as opposed to what she’d been used to back in San Diego. A sweater or two and she was good. As long as nobody bothered her, but then, she felt like there was an agreement between herself and certain people. Not that she trusted them, but anyone who agreed that her cat had a good name could be tolerated. As long as there weren’t any hug attempts.

She wasn’t that cold after all. She’d sort of eyed the tomato the professor was eating as she’d arrived at the barnyard, though. Ew, she thought, although she gave him her patented professor!smile anyway. “Good morning, Professor Thompson,” she said, before turning and heading over near Hady, Beverly and Agatha. Strength in numbers, really, no matter how much she’d decided to tolerate others. She was still going to stick with what she knew, and therefore sort of trusted.

Well, this should be interesting. Creatures was supposedly meant to be "her thing" as far as her parents were concerned. Both Kate's parents were Magizoologists, so it was sort of expected of her to do well in this class. Her parents knew it might not be her favorite class, but they also knew they'd given her a strong background in the basics. Kate continued her walk to class until she was met with the professor standing at the entrance to the barnyard.

"Hello, Professor," she said, her eyes zeroing in on the tomato in his hand. It wasn't anything unusual, but it was her natural reaction to take in the sight of her surroundings. She shifted her weight to one side and waited to see which creature they'd be interacting with. Dragons, she hoped! Someday, at least.

Hey Professor Thomson," Domino said as she arrived.
She stood around with the others and waited for the lesson to start. She wondered how this lesson would go. Would she be a good person or a bad person this time? She had no idea.
