So they were now moving on. "I belong to the House which has the cheeriest and friendliest ghost you'll ever find.'' Hehe. That should narrow it down considerably. "Ummm... were you on your House quidditch team?" That question should help him... that and the fact his partner had chosen the illusion of Charlie Weasley. There had to be a reason why Charlie was chosen, right? Just as there was a reason he had chosen Newt.

Benny was right...he was starring into the face and appearance of the famous magizoologist and writer of the most well-known book on magical creatures. "Well creatures are ---" he started to say, explaining his ability to pick up on Newt Scamander once he realized it but caught himself halfway through his original statement. Nope...nope...nope. That would reveal him right away. Or almost right away depending on who was on the other end of the guess.

Quick, turn the attention around, he instructed himself, turning his attention to what his companion was saying. Cheeriest and friendliest house ghost? Well Sir Nicholas was real friendly, especially to Gryffindors. And the only ghost that didn't have moments of cheer was the Bloody Baron. "A Hufflepuff?"

As for the question asked him, Benny nodded solemnly before sighing softly at the thought. "Uh huh...I used to be." Stupid ruling that meant they weren't allowed to play it anymore. He wondered what had made Newt ask that which made him think on who could be behind Newt. "Are you a fifth year?"

Herbology...? That was right. He had asked his family about the Headmistress before coming since she was his great uncle's successor. "Yep, I used to teach that for a bit." Not too hard.

The little rhyme didn't escape Ezra's notice, he knew that house. "Ravenclaw, you were in Ravenclaw!" He did an excited little jump but composed himself.

Thinking of another question was sort of tough but as he did so he listened to the other students or variety of creatures and strangers that used to be the other students. They seemed to be guessing at who the strangers really were, the students behind the disguises not the disguise. Oh.

"Oh, hey...uh whoever you are, I think we might be doing this wrong. I think we are supposed to guess who we really are." He started to laugh. "You're the Grey Lady right?" Right so first real question then. "Let's start over, what House are YOU really in?"

See Runes was NOT the Gryffindor's best subject so far.

What was that? This person behind the illusion was about to say something about creatures? What exactly, though? Creatures were awesome? The best things in this world? Fun? Not so fun? Terrifying? Hmmm...

"Yes, I'm a Hufflepuff.'' The best House of the four did have the friendliest and cheeriest ghostie. This person was one step closer to figuring out who he was. Not that it would be that difficult since he was such a Social Badger.

Aha. So his partner played on the Quidditch team. "Let's see...Quidditch player so that puts him or her roughly around my age.'' Since the game hadn't been around for a few years, he could safely eliminate those a few years below him. "Quidditch team, chose Charlie Weasley who loved creatures especially dragons... Well, I'll be darned!'' Adi had figured it out!

"You're Benjamin Atreyu.'' Adi would have more than loved to say 'YOU'RE BENNNNNY!' but that would have given his own identity away way too easily. Hehe. But see? He still figured out his bestie was behind Charlie's illusion.

No wonder they ended up partnering with each other without meaning to. They had both found the identities of Newt and Charlie VERY interesting since he and Benny had a thing for creatures also.

Gabriel was facing a similar issue.

He'd been a little late to start, sure...but everyone had already began pairing off. He could understand this, of course, as it was a psychological instinct to not be the last to be picked or last to be partnered. Something else apparent in how relationships worked at Hogwarts.

Not too much bothered by lack of attention and focus, Gabe observed the scene. Some people had been more adventurous in their decisions. The animals were certainly a change of pace...and Gabe might've chosen to do an animal just for difficulty's sake, but he wasn't a fan of creatures. So, that was a no.

....and he was being approached by one.

"Yes, please." Excellent, yes...Even if the person did resemble a dog at the moment.

Toby smiled, and though he couldn't see it nor control it, the tail of his Staco!dog!form wagged. Though if his dog disguise was smiling too that would be pretty funny. He'd have to check that out in the mirror later.

"Great. We can take turns," the dog!boy said, also wondering what his voice sounded like. Botros had mentioned sounding different, so he could only imagine that he sounded the way he might sound if his dog learnt to speak. And sometimes Staco did sound eerily human, so it wasn't much of a stretch. "What House are you in?" Toby asked, keeping an eye out for body language and all that, because if it was someone he knew well enough, that might be a good clue.

Might.

Doubtful, but might.

All the while, Toby was still partly distracted by working out who the disguise was. His dog form was probably all head-tilting and curious, what with all the mystery business today.

Benny was relieved that he had picked the right house out of the information that he had been given beforehand. That knocked quite a few students in the class right out the window as well as narrowing his own thoughts. But his second question hadn't been answered and the Gryffindor wondered if it was because he had missed it, or forgotten it, or stayed silent because it would be too much of a giveaway to the identity behind the illusion.

He could think on it for a few moments. While his companion took his turn in trying to figure him out. There was wheels turning in his head, that was sure, Benny could almost see them as he watched Newt look him over and focus on him and his answers. And then the look of realization. Benjamin Atreyu. The fifth year was taken aback by the use of his full name. No one really used it much,especially both first and last name. Even some of the professors had started calling him Benny at times.

"Yeah...I am."

Back to his figuring things out, he had an idea but he wasn't sure. The name certainly threw him since Adi would NEVER use the full Benjamin. Of course he had forgotten that they had been trying to hide their identities during the course of the guessing. So he repeated his question from before...modifying it in the end. "So...are you a fifth year Hufflepuff?"

WOOT! Adi had known he had figured out it was Benny behind Charlie's illusion. Though he didn't exactly need a confirmation, it felt good to know that he knew his bestie that well.

Woops! It looked like he had forgotten to answer the question before. "Sorry about that,'' the Hufflepuff said. "Forgot to answer the last question.'' Nah, he wouldn't purposely ignore it. "But yes I am a fifth year Hufflepuff.'' And that could be Ian, Lux, Dylan, Willow, Abigail or any other that fit that description.

And now Adi would wait for another question. Or just wait for Benny to go straight into identity guessing.

He waved off the apology but it did confirmed that the omission of an answer hadn't been deliberate. So one side of it had been smoothed over and would hopefully help him finalize the person. As would the eventual answer making him aware of Newt's player indeed being a fifth year Badger. Benny ran a list through his mind of the older Hufflepuffs that he knew, Adi and Lux being the one's that stuck out most of all of course due to interaction with them.

Thankfully a certain Ian had seemingly vanished from view for the most part.
A second mental look on the list was compared to the thought that whoever it was had to PICK Newt Scamander of all people they could be. So Benny was heading in one direction. "Do you have the best bestie in the world?" he asked, trying to be innocent while teasing his companion.

"Ravenclaw." It wasn't so obvious, right? There were plenty of Ravenclaws...and he could've been a female or male. Their voices were disguised, too. As far as stance went, Gabriel tried to be less Gabe-like. More confident in his posture...Less hunched....and it was a struggle.

He wasn't getting a read on the dog, though. "And you? What house are you in?" There was an urge to shift from one foot to the other but he resisted as best he could.

This....was definitely more difficult than it looked.

Adi could almost hear the wheels in Benny's head turning as he went through all the Hufflepuff that were fifth years. Really, he had quite a list to choose from but were there any obsessed with creatures as Adi? He didn't think so. It was only a matter of seconds before Benny figured it out.

Bestie? The best bestie, to be exact? Hehe. The Gryffindor had definitely already figured stuff. But Adi could play along too. "Who needs one of those? No, I prefer to be alone.'' Was the expression on his face a serious one? If it had been, that didn't last long. Naturally.

Adi grinned. "Yeah, I do have one of those. He's quite a handful I can tell you that much.'' The joking was also another trait that would confirm Benny's guess.

The chances that Toby was probably speaking to a friend of his just went way up; he knew a lot of Ravenclaws, and the majority of his friends (or at least those currently at Hogwarts) came from this house. His first thought was that maybe this was Soph, and he tilted his head just a bit, but didn't guess just yet. Something told him that wasn't the answer.

"I'm a Hufflepuff," Toby replied, and it was all he could do to hold back and not blab on even more. Usually when he provided his name, his year always came out too out of pure habit. BUT... that was a good idea for a second question. There were so many Ravenclaws that took this class that the options for guessing he was talking to were still plentiful. "What... year are you in?" This... could be helpful. Maybe he was still being too broad, though.

When it came to staying disguised, Toby was lucky about one thing. Being so tired and everything was accompanied by the fact that his bounciness was incredibly subdued. That might had been a big giveaway, but today Toby was just sort of... fidgeting. A lot. That couldn't be helped.

....It was the strangest thing, by the way; having a dog speak to him. While Gabe had been standing there, mostly still, some of his shifting and hand wringing had peeked through. Natural habit. He had no idea who he was talking to and that was stressful. Not to mention, words were hard, anyway.

"Sixth Year..."...and he'd almost added Prefect without even thinking about it. Blink.

A Hufflepuff, however. Well, that didn't really tell him much. He knew several Hufflepuffs; girls and boys alike. And yes, the next, most logical question was Year...but Gabe went in a different direction.

"Do you have a favorite professor? If so, who?" His voice might've trembled a bit...but it was hard to say.

A sixth year Ravenclaw. That narrowed it right down, didn't it? In fact, it was that and the nervous fidgeting that made Toby almost certain of who he was talking to. He'd been trying to pick up on anything telling, and it looked like he'd found it. Of course, Toby immediately felt bad, because it felt like the other kid's nerves were sort of... helping him guess. Now it felt like cheating. So he'd ask one more question, one he was pretty sure would tell him if his suspicions were right.

First though, there was that question.

"Uhhh..." Toby faltered, and bit his lip. He might have wondered how that looked in his dog disguise, if he wasn't so busy thinking. "I try not to have favourites, but..." his gaze wandered across to where Professor Botros was standing before he realised what he was doing. WELP. He'd given it away now anyway, hadn't he? Toby looked back at mystery-kid-disguised-as-mystery-guy. "Professor Botros. But also Professor Flamsteed. And Thompson." ........ "Favourites are hard."

He'd forgotten all about trying to conceal his own mannerisms and that answer was probably about as telling as an answer could be, right down to the rambling. But now Toby was focusing on his last question so he could guess and hopefully help put his partner more at ease.

"What do you want to be when you leave Hogwarts?" If this was who he thought it was, Toby already had already heard the answer before, so this was as good as making an actual guess. He found himself fidgeting more in anticipation, something conveyed very well even in dog form.

Welp. "Nuclear Scientist."....A dead giveaway, right? Who else had goals set that high?

...but Gabriel was blatantly unaware that he was being so obvious...and power of mind and thought had taken over. He was more focused on trying to piece this out. Which Hufflepuff was he speaking to? His question hadn't been as specific...but it'd told him a great deal.

The dog!person had used the 'Professor' title with all the names, save for Thompson's. Coincidence, maybe...But why not use it with all the instructors? Unless the Hufflepuff had gotten tired of saying 'Professor'...That was possible, but improbable. The next thing was the actual favorites. Runes, Astronomy, and CoMC...

Hmm.

Gabe happened to pay extra attention in his favorite lessons (Astronomy, Runes, Potions) and the only people who really loved Astronomy as much as he did were Sophie Brown and Tobias Tempus. Not to offend anyone else, but it was a difficult subject and took something extra to appreciate. There was, of course, Adi Rehman...Hmm.

The puppy was shifting around and seemed anxious, and that could've been barely restrained energy and excitement...or just anxiety. One more question would do it.

"How many OWLs did you take last year?" If it was Adi, he'd say 'none'. If it was the other....

Ahaaaaa. Well if that didn't tell exactly who was standing in front of him then Toby didn't know what would. Except, y'know... asking more specific questions. Or asking outright. Or, well... Toby actually knew of a lot of other questions that might reveal the kid's identity, but he was pretty sure he knew he was talking to Gabriel Banner, Ravenclaw sixth year and future Nuclear Scientist.

He bounced on his toes, just a tad, because of energy related to prospective success, and just about held back from blurting out the name, because he had this other question to answer.

"I took twelve," Toby replied, and he smiled again, because he remembered having a conversation about this sort of stuff with Gabriel last year. So if he was right, maybe his prefect friend was right there with him.

"Okay, I'm gonna guess," the Hufflepuff said, his disguise dog/puppy form wagging its tail in eagerness, though Toby didn't actually make that happen. "Are you... Gabriel Banner?"

Kace nodded when she guessed right and spread his wings for the effect. She wondered if she could guess who was really behind the phoenix. "Yup you are correct about my creature but can you guess who I am underneath.." he smirked and this shall be interesting because he had NO idea who was underneath her disguise. Now that he heard the laugh he knew who it was and it was Saint Nicolas! "You are Saint Nicolas!" he gasped and finally got it. But now onto his real questions. He grinned sheepishly and felt bad misunderstanding Bostros directions but now he understood them.

"Soo what house are you in Hogwarts?" he asked. He was determined to know who was underneath the Saint Nicholas disguise.

Good on him! Good on her! They had got the easy-not-so-easy done.

Now, it was on to the tough stuff.

"Gryffindor." Amur nodded, but thought to add in. "Though I'm still really not sure why." Not sure that it would help him either, but it would have to do. There wasn't much more she could elaborate on in that regard.

This, was going to be difficult. Amur peered at the bird, tried to see if she could match the voice with the eyes or some such thing, but she had absolutely no luck. She had no idea. Pondering for a moment, she got an idea. "What's the first letter of your name?"

Yeah they hadn't been told they couldn't ask questions that didn't result in yes-no answers, so she was totally going to pull that one.

So... She was younger then... Well that sort of narrowed it down... Kind of? Out of like the five Hufflepuffs he knew, she wasn't Kace. So that made it three other possibilities because she couldn't really be Marigold, right? Please no. It was too soon. Anyways. Three possibilities. There was Lux, Adi, and uh, the little one that really REALLY liked sparkly things. ??? Wait. Had she just said real live teenager? Uh. Blink. Blink. Bink. ... Okay? Well it really didn't sound like Lux... But... Technically they had three guesses, right? "Uh... Are you... um, Lux Carrington?" Maybe? Also he could still ask a question, right? 'Cause three guesses and three questions? It was in the rules. And he NEEDED to figure out who this Marigold actually was so that she could stop being Marigold so he could stop with the awkward. "Are you a girl?"

?????!!! NO. Zander's eyes stayed triple their size when she spoke next and he did the real panicky head shaking thing because-- Wait. This was good. Actually this was GREAT! So she didn't know. HA Merlin, he was going insane. Or well, she probably thought he was going insane because before he could even answer her question he burst into a fit of hysterical laughter. She didn't know!! She didn't know!! "I-uh-" he scratched his head a bit, still trying to formulate a proper sentence through his weird fit of laughter. "Absolutely nothing... Uh... Ha... Nothing... Nothing was an accident," RELIEVED he was beyond relieved.

Aaaheeeeeeeeem. Wait, Puck? "Uh... No."

Norah wiggledd excitedly as the person guessed wrong. "Nooooope!" Wait. That probably wasn't very prefect-ish. Oops? The third year grinned and nodded at the other question, though, because shhshe WAS a girl, which was cool even though it meant her mum'd want her to brush her hair a hundred times a day.

...Okay. So either Godric Gryffindor was completely nuts, or whoever was under there was. Because why were they laughing all of a suddebsudden? Norah started to laugh along with them, adding in a snort just to make it seem realer. If this was some teenager joke then she had to understand it or else she'd look like a baby. Or worse, a FIRSTIE. But, oh. They weren't Puck? That left... "Zander?" Well, THAT explained the weirdness because only a real weirdo could dislike sparkles, but it DIDN'T explain this whole accident thing. She wanted to KNOW, she hadn't even learned any real teenager secrets yet.

Gabe smiled just a little, which probably looked strange and creepy on the older man he was emulating. He had his guess, though...because while that might've been obvious to just anyone, he'd only told one person about that ambition in specifics.

...and, well...the dog had just admitted to taking twelve owls. They'd had that conversation, too.

"...and you're Tobias Tempus."

At one point, Botros went out and brought in a full body mirror to place next to his desk. He sat down and watched the bunch of famous faces (and creatures, those odd bunch) interact and ask each other questions. Time passed quicker than he thought, and by the time the sun was seeping through the windows into the classroom.

"Okay, everyone, you can stop now." He clapped his hands loudly to get their attention. "Very good job, everyone. Don't feel bad if you didn't guess, that's fine." It was just a game. "Now, one by one come and look at your looks in the mirror, see how absolutely brilliant you all look." He chuckled. "Then give me the parchment you wrote what you want to be on to make sure you got your look right, after that you can take off the belt and put it on the desk." Botros came to stand next to the mirror. "Class is dismissed, you may pack your things and leave then." He'd tidy up with the elves after they all left, it was no problem.

Aaah so the person underneath the disguise was a Gryffindor. Hmm that wouldn't help TOO much since he knew a lot of lions. It could be anyone even Puck. He shrugged and had to think of a second question. He heard the person behind the Saint Nicholas disguise a question. What was the first letter of his name? He smirked and knew this would be easy because it was unique.

"The first letter is K." he nodded and wondered if she got it through that question. He asked his question..."What year are you in?" he asked. He didn't' know really good questions to help him out. He was just going with the basic ones.



As he asked his second question he heard the Professor end the lesson. Man time went by SO fast. He grinned sheepishly and Bostros said it was alright if he didn't get a chance to guess. I mean they both had a mishap but they got the jist of it. He wondered who it was underneath that disguise. Anyways now time to go look in the mirror. He stepped up and began to examine himself. Woaaahhh now he looked soo cool.

He turned himself so he could see all his feathers. He loved them and he even saw his beak and tail. He looked like a pretty cool phoenix. He could live with this disguise. "Man I did a good job.." Kace said to himself impressed. He needed to give him the sheet of paper and he handed it to Bostros...

He even put his name on there just incase you know? Now time to take his belt off and he removed it and he saw himself in the mirror go back to his original self. Man he was gonna miss that disguise. He wondered who his partner was?

Class was coming to an end? Man! Adi had realllllly had a blast with this lesson! He marched up to the mirror he now noticed that his Head of House had brought. He eyed his reflection. Ah yesh. He did look like the famous Magizoologist. He turned this way and that, admiring how distinguished he looked. He already had some thing in common with Scamander: the black hair (until Newt's got white), being a Hufflepuff (wheeee! ADI WAS SO PROUD OF BEING A PUFFER) and of course, the love for creatures.

Everyone, meet the new Newt Scamander! Hehe.

When he was done admiring himself, Adi retrieved the parchment on which his and Newt's name were written and handed to the Professor before he took off the belt and placed it on the man's desk. "That was quite a fun lesson, Professor Head of House.'' The fifth year offered the grandfatherly man a grin before going off to grab his belongings. And a Benny. Maybe an AJ too.

Yaaaaay, she got it right!!!

It really paid off to know the school Prefects - or at least most of them. "Awesome job working with you, Caleb!" And with that Lux was off to Professor Botros' desk to look at herself in the full body mirror. Yep, she was Ginny Weasley. That was so cool though she preferred looking like herself in all honesty.

After admiring her reflection for a bit, Lux handed the parchment she had written both her name and Ginny's on over to Botros. Goodbye, Ginny Weasley." Hehe, taking off the belt she placed it on the desk. "Thanks for the wonderful lesson, Professor! Have a great day!"

Packing up her things, she left.

Okay... So she wasn't Lux... But she WAS a girl? Huh. Well, Zander only knew a few of the Hufflepuff variety and even fewer of the younger-than-Marigold variety.... And.... Erm... Maybe one last guess wouldn't hurt? The sparkles girl? She was the only one he knew and if it wasn't her, not like he'd get it anyways, y'know? "Norah?" MAYBE PLEASE?

He wasn't even shocked when she said his name, though. There were only two Gryffindor Prefects after all and she had figured that much out. "Mhm," he nodded slowly, feeling as if maybe he owed her some sort of an expla-- HA! Saved by the Professor!! "Well, it was nice working with you!" And he didn't even spare a moment before he began running towards the mirror thing.
