Centered among the shops of Hogsmeade is a well enough known pub in the small village, called The Three Broomsticks. Not unlike the Hog's Head down the street in the strictest idea of pubs, drinks and the like, however it is the atmosphere that helps make the latter choice the one hailed by the mass majority. The outside of the building is a good preview of what the inside may look like with the same steep roof as the surrounding buildings, yet taller, with a sign on it's facade featuring, you guessed it, the legendary three boomsticks, all fixed around a lantern to light the patrons' way.
Once you enter the pub, smells and the warmth of the large stone fireplace great you as you place hats and coats by the door. Directly infront of you there are tables and booths lining the majority of the small hall with oil lamps placed on each one. On winter days it is usually hard to find a place beside the large fire grate but if you're early enough, only Merlin can say what will happen. To your left the bar and most likely the bartender Harold "Hops" Lagerty, await you and your order--a few stools await you to take a load off and shoot the breeze with others.
The bartender is pretty sociable to those who don't annoy him. He's seen his lot of warlocks, goblins, and Hogwarts kids to know which ones were trouble and which of those made loyal customers, so be sure not to be put on the first part of the list.
A few rules from the Shop Owner: No brawling, no shouting (angrily), no alcohol to minors, and don't go up the stairs, I live up there.

He clasped his other hand around the hand he was already holding. It was freezing cold. Dec just didn't want Char's hand to fall off just because she refused to wear gloves.
"Well..." He began, leaning his chin on the hand incubator. "I'll be at school, if I get accepted, and you'll be LEARNING HERE, YES? And I'll come visit you on Hogsmeade. It'll be like old times." He smiled at her, knowing any second now she'll look at him with daggers in her eyes. Declan knew she didn't want to come back, but it's only his duty to remind her of what's good for her.
Char relaxed a bit when he covered her hand completely. Surely he understood the RING was the reason she wasn't wearing gloves, right?? Granted, it was probably frozen to her finger by now but who cares? It was a pretty ring.
And she heard him mention her being at Hogwarts next year but she was determined not to ruin today with her moodiness. "Right. You'll be at art school and I'll visit you." Mhmm. Very nonchalant. Hopefully he'd just think she used the wrong pronouns in that sentence. Maybe if she kissed him, he'd forget what they were talking about? Just one really good kiss and then get up to get them drinks would work, she was sure of it...but she figured she wouldn't abuse the kisses unless necessary.
"What are you ordering?" There. Food was always a good subject changer.
Derry appreciated the Hufflepuff hug. Though she hadn't actually been hugged by a Hufflepuff other than Toby so to her it was just a Toby hug and they were awesome anyway.
"Good, good..." She liked that Toby was all excitable and happy, it was a good energy and it made her happy too. It was nice to have such a lovely break from her crazy busy schedule. As for the school being as crazy as ever, Derry wasn't surprised. "At least it's not freezing cold anymore." She'd gone stir crazy last year...
Ah, yes, that. "Quidditch is.. great." She grinned at Toby and nodded. "Really fun, properly crazy though. I have pretty much no free time since I have a part time job too and there's karate stuff and looking for a flat and... it's crazy." She sipped at her butterbeer. "Practice is intense though, I love it. It's... I wasn't expecting everything to happen quite so quickly once I left school, y'know? It's way more nerve wracking than school quidditch... but you know that right? Hows the under 17s stuff going?"
Lots of nodding from Toby.
"Yeah, I dunno what I'd have done if we got locked in again," Toby replied, but still with a huge grin on his face because DERRY. It was true, as well. Because part of him would want to get the heck out of dodge if that happened again, but another part of him wouldn't want to leave certain people behind. But... not thinking about right now. Quidditch instead.
Toby sat there, listening avidly as Derry spoke briefly about her life now. That... was a lot of stuff. A lot to be getting on with, nice and busy.
"Wow," he replied, a look of delighted awe and wonder on his face. "You play for my team now, did you know? Well, I mean... not that I don't support every team, or at least every team I know people on. Magpies, Wanderers, Tornadoes and all... But the Magpies have been the team I supported the longest."
Ahem. He'd just shut up about that now.
"Oh, it's going good, y'know," the Hufflepuff grinned, shrugging one of his shoulders. "I got the MVP award over the summer and stuff, so that was good." Toby just sat there BEAMING. "Should be on track to going pro once I graduate, but... anything could happen yet, y'know?" He was still humming and hawing over other possible career options, but until anything piqued his interest, Toby was going full steam ahead on the Quidditch front. "Just a shame we can't play at school anymore."

Right. Of course it was the point and it would be something her dear husband would do; just show up without planning to. Except technically he didn't know for sure she would visit Hogsmeade on the weekend since she normally didn't when the students were there. She felt herself smile though at the brief kiss and reached for his hand as Medea joined them.
"Of course not, Medea." she beamed at her colleague. "This is my husband, Addison Nairne." She introduced and then turned to glance at Addison. "This is Medea Romanos, Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts." And totally awesome accent.

She wasn't sure she believed him and wished so bad she hd known him a little better back at school, but at the same time maybe it was better this way. Yes, she might not feel the same if she would have known him then. Though most people did grow up and change. She certainly wasn't that super shy puff anymore. "I'm going to have to pull out those yearbooks sometime when I'm at my parents." She was half joking, she was curious to look at some older pictures, but yearbooks couldn't tell you everything. She smiled at him with his words. So sweet to her, always so sweet.
"Alana sweetie slow down you are making a mess." Goodness she would have to clean up for the shopkeeper. She shook her head and laughed at her silly daughter. "She sure seems to be liking her food." Always a good thing when the like their food.
"Of yes, it probably would be good to make the reservation early." Plus it would be one thing she wouldn't have to worry about as the season was in full swing. "I want to put in my time off with HR as soon as we figure out when we will be going. The off season will be kicking in right around the time we go, but there are always things going on with off season trades and just paperwork." Plus she had a new PR to train, so she was busy busy.
Glancing back at Alana she smiled sweetly, "She just adores you. Both of them do. They look for you around the house all the time." She chuckled, it was not uncommon to see her girls go into the bedroom asking for him.

Alana was still shoveling the food mostly in her mouth. "ac n eese ummmy" She gave a cheese grin to her mum and step dad, lifting up her spoon to show them her dinner as it fell to the table. "uh oh" she lifted her hands in a shocked what happened notion. Then went back to her eating. It was so good.
Cosgrach laughed. She was FULLY joking, right? He didn't want her to discover his childhood whatsoever. Past was past, and they had the future together.

"Yeah. We'll feel better once we figure out everything." Her vacation, their reservations and all. Then they would just count the days down.
Cosgrach hid his laugh when Alana was shocked. He drew his wand and cleaned the table. "I'm glad they like me," he said softly. It wouldn't be nice at all if they didn't, after all.
Was Alana done so that they could eat the cupcakes? Hehe.

Alana was loving her food and she was gobbing most of it up. She hit her spoon to the bowl and looked into it. It was gone? She looked around like someone was eating it too, because it couldn't be gone already could it? She looked back into the bowl and lifted it bring it to her face just to make sure. "Awl done" She beamed at both of them showing her bowl. "Cos Cos" She reached her hands out, no were they having cake?
Finishing her food, Victoria glanced around hoping that maybe her son would come in so she could say hi, but figured he might be off doing something else. She assumed he'd be in Hogsmeade though, she did't see him staying at the castle. Unless he had gotten in trouble. Hmm she thought for a moment about this until Cossy brought her back out.
"Yes we will. I don't have any big meet and greets to plan this year, so I should have a quiet spring and summer, but we'll see. Some of the managers keep us on our toes." Her ex's wife to be exact.
She looked at Alana and laughed, "All done sweetie?" Giving her a thumbs up she smiled, "Good Job Alana." Though she wasn't caring much about mommy at the moment. "You don't have to be on his so much. You can eat your cupcake at your seat." This was just too cute the way she was being towards her stepfather.

"Darling,"she started, grinning at him because he'd never called her that before. "I think I want hot cocoa and tomato soup...not together though." Because how gross would that be? "I'll finish my hot cocoa before the soup gets here." And she had thought about getting Butterbeer just because she could now, and she figured it might warm up her insides, but EW.
What she was really craving was ice cream, despite her being so cold. Maybe once Dec had finished warming her up (and being the best boyfriend ever) and they ate, she could convince him to go with her to get ice cream. Everyone in the world knows ice cream is best when it's cold outside!

Being over in America hadn't really helped much with the whole staying in touch thing either.
Hmm... what did she want to eat? Hehe. Future wife. That had such a nice ring to it. She blushed a little and grinned. "Well, future husband, I can't decide between Shepherd's pie and chicken noodle soup... what about you?" So many choices!!!
Landon's eyes widened as she joked about taking back her answer and for a second he thought that she was completely serious. It scared him just thinking about it. A life without Melanie? How would he get on with the world if he didn't have her? He relaxed once she smiled and he gave a small smile back in return, shaking his head to himself as his previous thoughts disappeared.
He watched as Melanie placed the oreos into her jacket and he pouted, wanting them back now. He had the urge to make a scene about it, but he wouldn't since today was a special day for them. But he kept eyeing the pocket where she placed them ever so often. If he could at least just have them in his jacket. He wouldn't eat them...just have them really close to him in case of emergencies is all. He smiled at her as she said she trusted him. He definitely trusted Melanie too, more so than the boys actually.
The twenty-two year old looked back over to Tag and then back to Melanie. "I don't know...yeah, probably. Later. I don't want to ruin this moment with youuuuuu." He said, being all cheesy and making a goofy face.
So food. Yes. Food. Landon's stomach growled in response to her listing of foods she was going to get and he laughed. Hopefully the food would come as fast as possible. "How about chicken noodle soup? I'm feeling quite noodle-y today." He grinned.
"You can help me study.. and make me pancakes too." Delilah continued, unable to keep the teasing grin off her face. "Maybe I should sneak you in. It would be nice to have you around again." Eh. How she wished. Graduation was approaching fast, though. She'd probably get to see him more often over the summer before heading off to uni.
Delilah smiled and nodded before she made her way towards the table. Draping her jacket over the back of a chair, she sat down, rubbing her hands together for warmth. Soon enough, Jozsua joined her with two mugs of her favourite drink. Her face lit up with a happy grin, pushing a strand of hair behind her ears. "Thank you." She immediately took a few sips and listened to him talk.
"Japanese sounds pretty cool. I've heard it's difficult to learn but I'm sure you can do it." Delilah never knew that Jozsua had such a flair for languages. And the fact that he got to study what he liked was great. She was happy for him, she really was. .. Woah. Her blue eyes widened when he mentioned going abroad. "You get to travel? That's fantastic." Delilah said, enthusiastically. Noticing the expression on his face, her smile faded slightly. "You don't want to go? Why?"
... That question. Delilah sighed and sipped at her butterbeer, wondering how she could change the subject.. but decided against it. She looked away, giving a small shrug of the shoulders. "I want to study marine biology. I have kind of short-listed a few universities.. I'll start applying soon. I'm going to need really good grades to get in, though.. which is why I'm a little stressed." And pretty much having a panic attack on a daily basis. She took another few sips of her drink, her eyes finally meeting his. "I'll be fine." She said, with a small smile.
“m'getting better at cooking. Olly's been showing me stuff.” So pancakes were a definite. Studying he could help with too. Józsua did have some uses. “It'd be nice. I don't mind living in the Hufflepuff common room. S'cosy in there.” He laughed a little. He really wouldn't mind being an honourary Hufflepuff for a little while..
Japanese... yea... “My mum and dad have this contract out there. They live there a good part of the year but.. I'm not sure. I get confused as it is.” He smiled and waved vaguely at his head as if to indicate how confused it was in there.. then nodded to Delilah's next words. Yes he got to go abroad. “I jus'... I feel like I haven't been here that long. It's.. I guess it's such a privilege to be here.. I'd rather stay put.” A whole year away from here.. It seemed too long.

Not Exeter by any chance?” His eyes softened. It would be too much of a stroke of luck to be at university with Delilah. “m'sure you will be, Dels.” He said gently to her 'I'll be fine.' The offer to help was still there if needed. Although Creatures wasn't his strongest subject... not by a long shot.

She had no intention of anything coming in the way of her and husband time.
Shaking her head as Alana was lifted she couldn't help but just love seeing the interaction and wish Elisa would have come. "So spoiled aren't you." Grabbing a napkin as soon as she saw the cupcake go to the face. "Alana don't make a mess. Cossy has to go back to the castle." She couldn't say he shouldn't have known better. He had seen the girls eat many times. She just sat and laughed watching the two of them together.

"Look, Alana, we're pandas!" Their mouth was all black now, see?
As Braedon was looking at his menu, he heard the door open and he didn't think it was Vinnie. He knew girls were fashionably late. He then heard a voice that could only make him smile. He put down his menu and smiled. "Heyyy Vinne.." he said getting up and hugging her. "How have you been and oh yes please sit. I was saving this for you actually.." he said gesturing towards the chair. He hoped she didn't think it was too cliche.
As he sat down and he smiled and said honestly, "I have missed seeing you."
I mean being in Australia had its downfalls. He could only go to Hogsmeade to see his friends but his brother didn't want him going to Hogwarts just yet. He didn't know the reasons because his brother would just drop the topic. "Last time I saw you, it was back in Australia and you have the unfortunate meeting with Dylan..." Because that went soo well.
Vinnie couldnt help but smile as she hugged him back. He was just adorable and it was good to see him again. "Heeeyyy braedon", she said copying the tone of his voice. A little teasing here and there never hurt. After all this was the little one right in front of her. "Thank you very much." Sitting down the brunette crossed her legs. The three broomsticks had always been her fave next to the leaky cauldron, it had this cozy atmosphere to it. "Its good to see you again." It had been a long time, australia was quite far. Not that would be too much of a problem for an off age rebel girl, but still.
Unfortunate meeting? The Slytherin wouldnt say unfortunate...more amusing."It wasnt that bad", she laughed," dont worry about it." She didnt have any siblings but she could imagine a big brother being a pain. Especially when you had a girl around. Dylan hadnt said anything too bad though, he had actually been pretty nice. Now to...food and butterbeer. "What are you gonna get?"

She didnt have any siblings but she could imagine a big brother being a pain. Especially when you had a girl around. Dylan hadnt said anything too bad though, he had actually been pretty nice. Now to...food and butterbeer. "What are you gonna get?"
Braedon smiled and knew that voice anywhere. "Heyyy pretty lady.." he joked just a little bit and giving a comment. "It is good to see you again." he smiled his sincere smile this time. Braedon was relieved that Dylan didn't mess up too badly. "Dylan can be a jerk sometimes.." he shrugged and smirked. But onto getting with the menu, he scanned what was on there. "Hmm well I know for a drink I am gonna get Pumpkin Juice.." he said checking off his drink choice. As for his meal, he was indecisive. Then he fond something he liked. "I think I might have a cheese sandwich and tomato soup.." he licked his lips because that sounded delicious. "And because I have a sweet tooth I will have chocolate chip cookies.." he said putting his menu down. "How about you?" he asked.

What was that face for?! Shepard's Pie was delicious! He thumped her nose lightly. Rude. Now, it was his turn to make a face. An extra facey face! He obviously knew she wasn't going to mix the two. Unless she was one of those people who are "experimental'. Um...no. Hope not.
Dec set his head down at the table and looked up at her with his best puppy dog eyes, "Can you go order?" Cue extra beggy grin.

Her husband was adorable, she sat back watching him interact with Alana and the smile on her face just wouldn't stop. Such a soft and loving man, she was truly blessed to have found him. Her thought moving to that first date that they had been set up on. How very awkward and embarrassing at first, but she was glad it all happened the way that it did, because they had such a lovely story. Their story.
"Oh Alana" She couldn't help but put her hand to her face and laugh. The cupcake was everywhere and the icing all over her face. Then her eyes widen and laughter grew louder as her husband had done the same. She need a picture of this, they were just way too cute. Getting in her purse and pulling out her small camera she lifted it up. "Smile my silly pandas."
The cupcake was good and Alana was very focused on getting it into her mouth or at least close to her mouth. Hearing Cos Cos she turned her little brown eyes to see that he had placed cupcake on his face. Silly Cos Cos she laughed and stuck a finger in his icing. Her giggles were loud and grew louder hearing her mummy laugh. Hearing mummy laugh meant good things, not being told no and cupcake taken away. She turned her eyes onto mummy and saw the camera. She loved getting her picture taken and she pushed her head back into her step dad's shoulder smiling on big. Forgetting the icing on her fingers as she put her hand down away from their faces, getting icing allover her clothes and Cossy's.
