Centered among the shops of Hogsmeade is a well enough known pub in the small village, called The Three Broomsticks. Not unlike the Hog's Head down the street in the strictest idea of pubs, drinks and the like, however it is the atmosphere that helps make the latter choice the one hailed by the mass majority. The outside of the building is a good preview of what the inside may look like with the same steep roof as the surrounding buildings, yet taller, with a sign on it's facade featuring, you guessed it, the legendary three boomsticks, all fixed around a lantern to light the patrons' way.
Once you enter the pub, smells and the warmth of the large stone fireplace great you as you place hats and coats by the door. Directly infront of you there are tables and booths lining the majority of the small hall with oil lamps placed on each one. On winter days it is usually hard to find a place beside the large fire grate but if you're early enough, only Merlin can say what will happen. To your left the bar and most likely the bartender Harold "Hops" Lagerty, await you and your order--a few stools await you to take a load off and shoot the breeze with others.
The bartender is pretty sociable to those who don't annoy him. He's seen his lot of warlocks, goblins, and Hogwarts kids to know which ones were trouble and which of those made loyal customers, so be sure not to be put on the first part of the list.
A few rules from the Shop Owner: No brawling, no shouting (angrily), no alcohol to minors, and don't go up the stairs, I live up there.
OCC Rules: No RPing for the shopkeeper and all other School RPG Rules apply.

Had Stella ever clawed Tag? Did Lottie not know Stella at all? Especially when he first got her. The time she climbed over his back. The day chaos erupted in his house. Of course Stella had clawed him. "Well, yeah. Remember she climbed my back every now and then. Those left some marks on my back, but of course, they weren't as noticeable." Thankfully, the kneazle seemed to have calmed down and acted accordingly the longer she got to know Tag and the house. But, every now and then she pulled out the 'let me walk all over you' card, literally. "Stopping now."
If Tag promised not to get any pets this year, he may just make up for it next year by getting two pets. He could play at this game, too.
"You know," Tag started off slowly, eating some of his food, then looking back at his girlfriend when he was done, "I nearly burned down the kitchen once when I was little and home alone." Did she know about that? Maybe, and if she didn't, now she did! "But, don't tell my dad or Saxon, they don't know about that." And it should be kept that way. "I suppose? But before Alec, I never gave ducks a second glance. When I saw them, that is." There was no pressure in Lottie remembering why it suddenly reminded her of Alec. Tag didn't want his girlfriend getting a headache trying to figure it out.
There was a small smile, and a 'you're welcome' in return to his girlfriend. "Its a bit noisy and chaotic, to say the least. All the barks and meows and caws of the animals, and everything else, you know. But, besides that its pretty fun working with them and taking care of them, and playing with them." He was getting paid to do all the things he already did at home, so that was a plus. "But, how are you? Done any painting or drawing yet?"
Well, not exactly. She didn't really know. And just because she could climb, that didn't mean she was able to cause any harm, really. The two things didn't relate. It seemed Stella had caused some minor damage, though, and Lottie could help but laugh, "Yeah, I remember that." Why, of course, Stella had calmed down thanks to Lotus, she spoke quietly to the kneazle and even read with her. It was obvious the Hogwartian had some influence in Stella's behavior. She smiled and nodded his way, nothing was said, but she was thankful for him stopping with the yellow.
Drinking more hot chocolate now. The warmth was definitely welcomed. Oh? Story time? Lol, of course he did! "What were you trying to make?" she asked, starting with her sandwich now. It was quite an amusing thought, though, Tag almost burning the kitchen, and the house possibly. But he did mess up the Muggle Studies OWL, no? "I might tell your dad," she couldn't promise not to tell him, because that would be so amusing to a chef. Even if she didn't plan on telling the man, she was sure it would just slip out, like she did with other things when she had visited last Christmas. And Alec..., "Maybe, I don't know." We'll just leave it at that, yeah?
Hey, you know, this sandwich was actually good. But back to the boyfriend, "You don't really mind noise and chaos, so it works," she smiled, casually noticing how she preferred the exact opposite unless he was around. She wouldn't mind it much then. "You already asked how I was doing," in case he suddenly forgot, "Not much, truth be told. I don't really like sketching during winter. Might pick it up when spring comes around."Might. She'll just keep with yoga and astronomy for now. "And college? Has it started again?" After the winter break, that is.

He nodded, knowingly, about their moms. "I love you," he started, pulling Gabe's hand up so he could give him a quick kiss on his knuckles "And when it's time, it'll be time." And he planned to write mum back and say as much. He and Gabriel needed time to be just them for a bit, and the research project had interrupted.
Releasing Gabe's hand, he remained in his seat as Gabe fetched the drinks. Rather than take the moment to look around, Tiberius kept his eyes on the man who meant everything to him. After this weekend, he would have weeks to look at anything or everything but Gabe. And so he wanted to soak in as much as he could. Tiberius sighed contentedly, leaning back in his chair.
When Gabriel returned, Tiberius sat up straight. Taking his drink, he held it up, leaning his elbow on the table. Reaching for Gabe's fre/e hand, he smiled.
"To us," he began. "To every wild and weird twist of fate that brought us together. And to the next three weeks passing as quickly as possible so I can come back.." His voice wavered a bit, and he cleared his throat. "so I can come back home to you."
Just because he knew it would annoy Tibs, in a playful way at least, Gabriel leaned over just enough that the tip of his noes was touching his husbands. "Ditto," he winked just before he moved away quickly to fetch the drinks.
He relaxed into his seat a little more and watched his husband expectantly, his grin faltering ever so slightly at the unevenness of Tibs' speech. "To us," he repeated as he raised his glass a little more and gently touched it against the one Tibs' was holding before taking a large sip. "Zree weeks isn't really so bad," he said while setting his glass down, only partly lying to himself. They did often say that the last 500 m of a marathon were the worst and that was precisely where they both were right now.

The realization that after this weekend he would leave again and they would go in separate directions was sinking in and Tiberius was not liking it one bit. Sipping his firewhiskey, he looked down and sighed. "Three weeks or three days, it's all entirely too long." Placing the glass on the table, he leaned both elbows on the wood and ran his hands through his hair.
After a moments pause, he shifted in his chair to more properly face Gabriel. Scooting his chair forward to their knees touched, he looked up, eyes searching his husband's face. "I don't ever want to do this again. Being apart this long." He paused, trying to find the right words, his tone soft, but insistent. "I'm going to finish this out because I committed to it, but after this program is done, I done with this sort of intense research." He could work in stables or consult with sanctuaries or do any number of things without spending months tracking a creature over glaciers or taking soil samples in the deep jungle. A week-long business trip? Sure. A month with maybe weekend visits, doable. But this distance of months and months was simply unbearable.
Biting his lip, he waited for Gabriel's reaction.

What a crazy afternoon that had been. "I'm pretty sure you've always and always will remember that. Its hard not to." All Lottie did was nothing.
Lottie was going to laugh. He could sense it. With a sigh, Tag said, "I was trying to cook pasta with vegetables." Apparently pasta is something so easy to cook no one could mess it up. Well, if that were true, then Tag could have been the first person to prove that theory wrong. WHAT?!!??? "No. Don't. He'd make sure to tease me about it forever. " How could she?! Alec, though, "No need to worry about it."
Not minding noise and chaos, though, was because of one thing. And Tag had brought it upon himself. "I think at this point, my ears got used to the buzzing sound of noise and chaos due to my house. So, yeah, I'm completely fine with it." He said with a quick laugh. Tag had asked, and apparently, had forgotten that he had so. Let's just blame his food. Yep, that sounded good. "Try to draw the castle. Or maybe the lake when the sun is setting. That's pretty to draw, in my opinion at least." Ugh. College. Boring but necessary. "Yeah, its started. There's not much going on right now, besides getting settled into the new classes." So, really, he didn't have much to tell Lottie on that, besides what classes he may be taking, but, like he said, boring.

A wide smile graced her features, "How could I not? I met Stella that day."Wink. Well, that wasn't the only reason why she'd always remember that day. Or maybe it was. Who knows?
Well, look at that, half her sandwich was gone now. And she'd said she wasn't hungry. Hmmmm. She drank more hot chocolate and considered something. "With vegetables? I would've never guessed that." With cheese, yes, but vegetables? That made the entire thing even more amusing, and... THAT is precisely the reason why she'd tell Mr. Kildare all about it. BEAM! "I see nothing wrong with that. Honest." All she had to do was go to Ireland. This topic could be shared at random and his dad wouldn't notice. It's food related. Also, once of those stories girlfriends are allowed to tell. It wouldn't seem so random.
Lotus kept on eating part of her sandwich, and nodded in agreement at his words. He was used to the noise and chaos, yet the shelter held more animals, so it was bound to be a bit more chaotic at times. Depending. Shaking her head, she replied, "Not the castle, maybe the lake, but I just don't feel like doing so at the moment. I am drawing the stars, does that count?" Drawing charts. It totally counts. According to Lotus. The seventh year nodded again, "You know, if you need to review percentages or something similar, you could do me the same way I did you." It's interesting, at least.
Delilah squinted at his face, the grin on her face widening a little. Aw, was he blushing? It was cute. He was cute. She admired his pink cheeks for a moment before giving a small nod. "A good different. It suits you.." Delilah looked away, her face still flushed. Her Józsua deserved all the compliments in the world, though. He was the best.
Languages. Hmm. She eyed him curiously. "So, what languages are you getting to learn now?" Delilah was pretty terrible at languages herself. She could manage French.. a little. And a bit of German too but that's it. "How is uni? It's a lot different from school, isn't it? Do you like it there?" WAY too many questions but she couldn't help it. She really wanted to know what uni life was like.
"I'll be fine. Don't worry about me, yeah? It's.. nothing." Delilah couldn't help but laugh loudly when he continued, probably inviting looks from strangers on the street. Oops. Yeah, wouldn't that be great? To have him around all the time? "I really wish!" She said, with an exaggerated sigh. "You could help me study, we could grab midnight snacks in the kitchen together, give me cuddles.." Delilah bit her lip, suddenly feeling rather stupid. It just sucked to miss people you love, you know? She remained quiet until they reached The Three Broomsticks.
.... Wow. Delilah relished the warmth as she scanned the crowded pub, trying to spot an empty table. "How about that one?" She asked, pointing at a table right next to the window.
Józsua smiled wider. “Thanks.” That was nice to hear. He watched Delilah, his eyes soft. She looked just like the Delilah he'd seen during the summer.. only less tanned.. and a little flushed.. but definitely as blonde as ever.
He wasn't sure if he could believe that 'it's nothing', but decided not to push it. For now. But he grinned from ear to ear, amusement in his eyes as she went along with the smuggling him back to school scenario. “Sounds like heaven.” He laughed. “m'might be bony but m'told I give good cuddles.” He watched her smile fade. “S'passing by really quickly though, yea?” Scarily so.. at least for Józsua, how quickly time was passing. But for Dels, maybe that was a good thing..
The table by the window? That seemed a good spot. “You want to go and claim it while I get the drinks?” And off he went, returning a few moments later with two large butterbeers. He sat, taking a sip of the sweet drink and relishing it while he listened to Dels. He hadn't had butterbeer since school. Yum.
“I'm working on the ones I know.. French mostly.” Because his English came so naturally now. He'd even picked up the little nuances and quirks of speech from his former classmates and had developed a mumble all of his own. The American twang he had before he came to Britain had faded into something soft. “But m'learning Italian an'.. my mum wants me to learn Japanese but..” He shrugged. Too difficult. Too much effort. His poor brain couldn't cope with all this information. “I get a year out in my third year to go to one of the countries I'm learning the language of.” He pulled a face, obviously not looking forward to it. He liked it here. In London with Olly... but three years was a long time ahead to be worrying about.
“Do you know what you want to do after school, Dels?” Merlin, he was talking about himself too much. And he also wanted to hear the Hogwarts gossip.
Józsua smiled wider. “Thanks.” That was nice to hear. He watched Delilah, his eyes soft. She looked just like the Delilah he'd seen during the summer.. only less tanned.. and a little flushed.. but definitely as blonde as ever.

"You can help me study.. and make me pancakes too." Delilah continued, unable to keep the teasing grin off her face. "Maybe I should sneak you in. It would be nice to have you around again." Eh. How she wished. Graduation was approaching fast, though. She'd probably get to see him more often over the summer before heading off to uni.
Delilah smiled and nodded before she made her way towards the table. Draping her jacket over the back of a chair, she sat down, rubbing her hands together for warmth. Soon enough, Jozsua joined her with two mugs of her favourite drink. Her face lit up with a happy grin, pushing a strand of hair behind her ears. "Thank you." She immediately took a few sips and listened to him talk.
"Japanese sounds pretty cool. I've heard it's difficult to learn but I'm sure you can do it." Delilah never knew that Jozsua had such a flair for languages. And the fact that he got to study what he liked was great. She was happy for him, she really was. .. Woah. Her blue eyes widened when he mentioned going abroad. "You get to travel? That's fantastic." Delilah said, enthusiastically. Noticing the expression on his face, her smile faded slightly. "You don't want to go? Why?"
... That question. Delilah sighed and sipped at her butterbeer, wondering how she could change the subject.. but decided against it. She looked away, giving a small shrug of the shoulders. "I want to study marine biology. I have kind of short-listed a few universities.. I'll start applying soon. I'm going to need really good grades to get in, though.. which is why I'm a little stressed." And pretty much having a panic attack on a daily basis. She took another few sips of her drink, her eyes finally meeting his. "I'll be fine." She said, with a small smile.
Her little eyes had closed and her weight heavy on her step dad. He was just that comfy and her pouting had made her tired. When she heard her name she opened her sleepy eyes and looked up at him. "ake?" she heard cupcakes, so where were they? Scanning the table she noticed that her food was there. "ac n eese" clapping, she loved this stuff. Feeling her mothers arms she lifted her hands to be set down in her own seat. "ook" She pointed at her bowl looking at Cossy. Grabbing a spoon she started shoveling the food in her mouth and the floor which ever it hit first.
She really couldn't help, but laugh, "You like him? SO you were a ladies man in school?" He was older then her and she knew they were in school only a term or two together, but she really didn't know of his reputation or popularity. She had kept to herself for the first few terms. "I do like how you turned out." She leaned in kissed her husband's cheek. "I got very lucky." She did owe this happiness to her son.
Seeing the food she picked up Alana and set her in a chair of her own. She knew how messy her daughter could be and Cossy most likely didn't want to get her shirt a mess to go back up at the school. "He's fourteen I'm not going to set myself on his dreams just yet. They change daily." Some she was fine with such as the quidditch, but his other interest did bother her a bit.
"Oh of course I'll show you. Next time you are home we'll look at them together and possibly pick out the place we want to stay." That was exciting now wasn't it. Taking a bit of her own mac n cheese she chuckled at Alana, "Goodness someone was hungry."
Cosgrach grinned when she laughed. "I was, yeah." He was the terrible kind of ladies man, but he didn't say that. Instead, he softly chuckled. "I am the lucky one." With her... with Hogwarts. With everything. He squeezed her hand, since he couldn't really kiss her while Alana was sleeping on him.
"Of course." That Bart's dreams would change a million times.
He let her grab Alana and put her to her chair. "We can make the reservations too." It'd be cheaper and all. He wished he was rich enough not to worry about that, but he had only his salary and she had three kids. He picked his own spoon and started eating gently while he watched his step daughter feed the floor too, and couldn't help but smile.
"She's the sweetest child." If only every kid was as good natured as her.

HUUUUUG.
Sofia felt the hug she HUUUUUGGED Paris right back, squeezing him to her and KISSING his cheek. hehehee. "Paris." She said softly as she quickly closed her sketchbook. "Nah--no trouble--just, you know, had to..ahem, figure out how to do this." She said, smirking wickedly. "I was hoping you wouldn't be too late--I don't know anybody here--" she said, looking around and blinking a lot.
"Should we get...butterbeers, then?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at him.
"You look good." She ALWAYS looked really good. Paris boldy stared at her for a brief moment, ignoring the blush that rose to his cheeks where he lips had been not a moment ago. "Everyone's friendly here... mostly. Or a flirt." He didn't miss much, though it did elude him as to how and join in on all that activity. Even with his cousin's help.
He pushed out of his seat and ran a hand through his hair, looking up at the bar. "I'll get us some. On me." And chips. He ran over to the bar and after a few minutes returned with two hot butterbeers and a plate of chips. Pushing one drink in front of her, he put the food between them both and took a sip of his. "What were you drawing?"

She wasn't sure she believed him and wished so bad she hd known him a little better back at school, but at the same time maybe it was better this way. Yes, she might not feel the same if she would have known him then. Though most people did grow up and change. She certainly wasn't that super shy puff anymore. "I'm going to have to pull out those yearbooks sometime when I'm at my parents." She was half joking, she was curious to look at some older pictures, but yearbooks couldn't tell you everything. She smiled at him with his words. So sweet to her, always so sweet.
"Alana sweetie slow down you are making a mess." Goodness she would have to clean up for the shopkeeper. She shook her head and laughed at her silly daughter. "She sure seems to be liking her food." Always a good thing when the like their food.
"Of yes, it probably would be good to make the reservation early." Plus it would be one thing she wouldn't have to worry about as the season was in full swing. "I want to put in my time off with HR as soon as we figure out when we will be going. The off season will be kicking in right around the time we go, but there are always things going on with off season trades and just paperwork." Plus she had a new PR to train, so she was busy busy.
Glancing back at Alana she smiled sweetly, "She just adores you. Both of them do. They look for you around the house all the time." She chuckled, it was not uncommon to see her girls go into the bedroom asking for him.
Yum.. Yum.. Yum
Alana was still shoveling the food mostly in her mouth. "ac n eese ummmy" She gave a cheese grin to her mum and step dad, lifting up her spoon to show them her dinner as it fell to the table. "uh oh" she lifted her hands in a shocked what happened notion. Then went back to her eating. It was so good.

All in all the only reason she wasn't completely out of her mind with missing him was because she was buckling down for NEWTs. Not that she'd been able to concentrate much this past week. Ana's concentration had been shot in the wake of her excitement at the knowledge that she was going to be able to see Terry again and she'd been hard-pressed to get to sleep last night with the nerves. Which was silly really, since logically she knew she had no reason to be nervous about seeing him again. God she almost felt like it was their first date again.
Her happiness and nerves had her humming as she practically skipped into the Three Broomsticks about ten minutes before the time they'd agreed to meet. She hadn't wanted to be late and waiting around the castle in anticipation hadn't really been doing her any good, she was just likely to annoy someone if she'd stuck around there for too long, so she'd set out a little earlier than she'd meant to. Originally she had planned to get here right on time but hey, she wasn't late and that was what really mattered.
Taking a few calming breaths Ana picked a table and sat down to wait for Terry, taking the time to fix her hair and reapply her lipstick to give herself something to do and stop her from fidgeting like a child.
It was quite obvious that Terry had been looking forward to this day for quite some time. Having not seen his girlfriend since Christmas which was arguably not that long ago but it didn’t matter, the nineteen-year-old headed into Hogsmeade at exactly the right time that he was supposed to have arrived. He was back home again having been away at a Winged Horse reserve in Europe for 2 months just before Christmas and he was remaining home for the next couple of months unless he was offered a placement somewhere. He’d been working for his mum too and visiting the old village was a welcome treat.
He wasn’t as lazy as people thought he was.
Pushing the door open to the Leaky Cauldron which was where he’d been instructed to go it didn’t take long for him to spot the redhead over at a table. He approached her from behind, wrapping his arms around her waist before planting a kiss on her cheek. “I’ve missed you” he spoke unravelling his arms and moving to sit opposite. “Hello.” Yeah, should probably greet her first that would be a good idea.
“Why are you so fidgety?” The former Slytherin’s lips twitched up at one corner into a slight smirk. Couldn’t be nerves. Excitement maybe? That was kinda cute.

Ana was attempting to ignore the urge to look at her watch every few seconds and act cool, but it wasn't really working too well. It wasn't like Terry was late or anything so she really needed to calm down before people got the impression that she was weird or something.
Ana only just resisted the urge to check the time again when she felt familiar arms wrap around her from behind. At least she was used to Terry pulling that move by now otherwise she was fidgety enough that she likely would have gone for her wand. As it was she relaxed into the embrace, finally able to stop fidgeting.
"Hi," she whispered, before clearing her throat slightly and talking at a more normal volume. "I've missed you too," he should know that though considering she'd made no secret over the fact over Christmas. Which, okay it was January now so it hadn't been that long ago but they really hadn't gotten to spend that much time together on Christmas break so it was still valid. "How's your mother?" Ana asked as Terry moved to sit down. She was pretty sure that Terry had said he'd be staying at home for the next few months and she did like his mother. Besides the question gave her time to pull herself together into the somewhat more coherent person she normally presented to the world. Obviously she needed to actually socialise more if she was turning into a fidgety mess at the thought of seeing people.
So trust Terry to bring it up! Ana flushed slightly at the question, stuttering a bit before taking a deep breath and answering the question. "I'm not sure. I was excited I guess. I've missed spending actual time with you, rather than just exchanging letters." That was at least mostly the truth. No way was she going to admit that she was nervous though. Excitement at least was something that she wasn't ashamed to admit and that she understood the motivation behind.
Sofia smirked. "I know. Thanks." she said as she pulled off her beanie and let her pink locks fall out, almost flawlessly, as her hat SAID. Hehe. She twirled a piece of her hair between two fingers as she watched him blush. "Do you even know how to flirt, Paris Sykes?" she asked softly, narrowing her eyes on him playfully.
Wow.
Well.
Sofia was never very secretive. HEH. "I could teach you." It was easy. And it would be fun, too. Paris was just too cute. And when he offered to pay, Sofia didn't even try to stop him. Free drinks..and food? Nah, she wouldn't pass that up. She just winked at him as he went to go get their stuff and watched him closely as he waited...and crossed her arms over her chest as she leaned back in her seat.
Once he was back, she scooted closer and rubbed her hands together--BUTTERBEEEER. She took a sip and closed her eyes in satisfaction. "Mhmm...delicious." She said softly. It was very rare for her to have some butterbeer, yeah. "Oh--" drawing..riiight. "Just..a happy memory." She said casually. She didn't know if she wanted to show him--but maybe she would, because he would appreciate her ART skillz and whatnot..hmm.

Despite that he was pleased that Ana hadn’t turned around and hexed him thinking he was a complete and utter stranger trying to hug her there was a slight part of him that wanted to see what she would’ve done. “Sorry, I’m not late am I?” Rubbish at time keeping he was but he had kept to the time on his watch. Though he hadn’t really bothered to see whether that was right anyway.
Bloomin’ lazy he was, at least that was what his mother had told him on numerous occasions.
“I would’ve got here earlier but mum wouldn’t let me leave the house until my bedroom was practically spotless.” Terry LIKED the mess, his former dormmates could certainly agree with that. “Apparently Tilly can get away with doing nothing and I have to be the House Elf of the family.” Not really but meh. He was NINETEEN. He kind of wanted his own place but money was very difficult and all the placements he had been on had been pretty poorly paid.
Back to the conversation in hand and paying attention to his girlfriend. “Yeah mum’s fine.” Not much else to say about that. He was going to ask about school but he was sure that would either be a touchy subject or an extremely boring one. School was school and Ana was still stuck in it.
Ana was cute and Terry smiled a genuine smile that touched his eyes at her words. “Letters aren’t particularly great are they?” And he wasn’t particularly great at writing them either. He didn’t want to tell her all about the things that he’d done and what he was up to. Technically he just wanted her actual company.
“Are you going back to Russia when you graduate?” This time his tone was serious. Terry lived in Scotland and getting to Hogsmeade was no big deal. Travelling to Russia was considerably further away.

"No. Not late. You're right on time, actually," Ana informed him with a bright smile. She never really counted on Terry being punctual, although sometimes he had gotten places before her, but it was nice when he was. Mainly because Ana was not a patient person when it came to seeing his face. He was actually pretty lucky he'd approached her from behind, otherwise they might have gone tumbling to the ground. Because yeah, she'd been contemplating throwing herself into his arms when he got here. Sure it would be a little overdramatic but that's just who Ana was sometimes.
Oh. That wasn't good. At the mention of Tilly Ana couldn't help the little moue of displeasure that took over from her smile. She didn't know the girl well, in all fairness she really hadn't tried all that hard to get to know her, but from what she'd seen she didn't like her. At all. Although she was sure she had some redeeming qualities somewhere she just couldn't see them. Ana was just glad that she hadn't been in the girls year at Beauxbatons, because that would have been awkward.
"Could you maybe move out?" Ana questioned hesitantly. She didn't like to bring it up since it would also bring up the uncomfortable situation of money but she thought that if Terry was really that unhappy it might be the only option.
"They aren't no. I mean, obviously I want to tell you about the things I write about but sometimes I'd rather just see you." Was that too sappy? Possibly. But she might as well be.
Oh. That question. Ana shrugged helplessly as she tried to come up with an answer. "I don't know. I will be for at least a little bit since Elizaveta is getting married not long after graduation. You're invited to that by the way, my family wants to meet you, although you'd only actually be meeting my dads side, some cousins and my older siblings if you come. My mum and step-dad won't be there... After that I'm not sure though. I mean I don't even know what I want to do after graduation and I have a home in Saint Petersburg...." Ana trailed off, not really sure what to say. "But, I want to be close to you. Maybe I'll get a place in London or something until I figure out what I'm even going to do after graduation."
Hogsmeade weekend was one of Lux's favourite times during term because she got to leave Hogwarts for a bit and do some shopping. Buying stuff from catalogues via owl was all right, but every once in a while it was nice to go to an actual store and browse.
Today she had a friend date with Justine and Jun at The Three Broomsticks which meant her first butterbeer EVER. A huge occasion in her eyes so she was rather excited.
Spotting her friends, Lux made her way over to their table. "Hey! I hope I'm not late." Being late was rude, so it was something she tried to avoid as much as possible. "Can I ask what's with the cat ears?" she added to Justine while taking her seat.
Justine turned away her bright green eyes from Jun as the sweet natured red head joined them. "You're very late, we're both horribly disappointed," Despite the seemingly harsh words, Justine was smirking and anyone could see the snarky girl was teasing. She raised an eyebrow, her tanned hand coming up to unconsciously touch the twitching, furry, cat ears. "It's a long story," She said with a light scowl.
"I went to a party a month or so ago and a friend of mine slipped me an experimental drink thing, a second later I had these ridiculous ears and tail... " She took a swig of her butterbeer, a dryly annoyed look on her face. "It went away later that night, but then Connor gave me some catnip and.... Now I'm stuck as a cat person until the Healer can figure out how to take care of it," Justine finished, her whole demeanor showing just how displeased she was with the whole situation.
It really wasn't so bad, but for a girl like Justine who took herself so seriously, these new silly attributes were more annoying than listening to an album of nothing but Mandrake screams.

Declan tightened his hold slightly on his girlfriend's hand. There had been a lot of relationships falling out lately and he'd be lying if he said he wasn't just a bit scared. Truth is, he worried about this everyday. He's almost ruined their relationship twice just by opening his big mouth.
With his free hand, he reached up to stroke her cheek, "Happy anniversary, Ducky." And what a cycle it was. Last year, this time, he was still contemplating whether he'd be capable of staying in a relationship. Sitting here next to Char proved that he could. Hopefully, this cycle wouldn't end here.
Charlotte couldn't stop smiling and maybe it was because her face had frozen that way from the cold but either way, it matched what she was feeling. ONE WHOLE YEAR. If Jun could see her now! Only...she didn't care what Jun thought, but still...if he could see her now, she bet he'd be surprised.
Can you imagine what next year will be like?" Because everything would be different next year. It would just be her, all alone. Unless, of course, she dropped out of school like she wanted to and then she could go see Declan at his art school no matter where she was living at the time. How appealing did that sound? She didn't want to bring up her dropping out again because she knew he was going to try and convince her all over again and that wasn't what she wanted to spend today doing.

Placing the glass on the table, he leaned both elbows on the wood and ran his hands through his hair.
Gabriel, fully intending to keep their conversation heading in the positive direction, did not read into the subtext of Tibs' words. The feelings that he too shared, obviously, but why spend all of their time dwelling on the negative parts of things when they really had only the weekend? Living in the present, it was much more his style. At least when Tibs was around.
"I don't eithe---" he began, but his husband's continued words cut him off. He certainly wasn't going to lie to himself. It was an appealing proposal. No more distance. No more overly stressed husband. A sort of reset of things which could then, well, pave the way for them to start really settling down and starting a family. Tibs would always get himself so wrapped up in his work, almost to the point of tunnel vision, but it was also something that had made Gabriel fall in love with him. The attention to detail and the dedication to follow through. "Tibs, please, don't make me the reason you stop doing somezing. I won't stand for it. We can make it work if anuzzer opportunity comes up."
Forgetting his drink, Gabriel took both of his husband's hands in his own and gently squeezed them.

Now she was wondering.
"That's the only reason you liked that day?" Tag said, slightly shocked. But, to be honest, he couldn't really remember anything else that had happened that day.
Yeah, with vegetables. Who would've guessed, right? Well, Tag had wanted to try something different that day, rather than just having plain pasta with cheese, which he usually did when he made that. "Trying to eat healthy. But, if eating healthy nearly burns down my house, I'm crossing that off the list." And he was being serious here, logic. His sister and girlfriend could make him eat healthy, but he would refuse to do so willingly on his part now. Opposite sides these two were on, "I see everything wrong with your plan." Not really, no. But, dramatics were necessary.
Not drawing nature? That seemed very un-Lottie like, but then, it looked like Lottie was over Hogwarts, so Tag could see where she was coming from, if that were the case. "It counts if you're drawing the stars for fun and your own pleasure. Not if its for class." There's a difference. Because, if it were for class than that meant that she had to do it. And it wasn't for fun, but required. Tag took a sip of his butterbeer and quietly listened to his girlfriend talking about percentages, and he knew exactly what she was talking about but… his butterbeer spilled back into the cup, due to Lottie's words. "Right percentages. I think I'm fine, if anything I can go into the maths tutor centers on campus."

Tiberius closed his eyes as Gabriel spoke and squeezed his hand. He'd thought a lot about this. Lying in bed alone in Romania, wondering when the next owl would arrive, what the weather was doing in Cairo, whether Gabriel had purchased that ridiculous muggle motorbike. He was missing all of it. For what? To understand why the wildlife thrived or perished on the edges of a colony? To recommend to the Romanian ministry which charms would protect the muggle goat herds from sensing nearby predators and developing stress-related conditions? Anyone could do that. Not everyone had Gabriel.
Squeezing back, he opened his eyes. "If one comes up. But I don't plan to seek any out." His voice was steady and conveyed his sincerity. If something landed in his lap that was an irresistible opportunity, they'd talk. Applying for any or all research jobs that could land him Merlin knows where for who knew how long. That was not at all conducive to their grand adventures or an eventual family. And somewhere, though he wasn't entirely aware of it, it also had something to do with losing his dad. He wanted to be a present partner and parent and committing to a life of research and travel seemed incompatible.
"Besides," he said, trying to lighten the mood. "I didn't get into this field to be Newt Scamander. I just wanted to learn things." He smiled. "I can do that close to home."

Gabriel waited patiently while Tibs thought, closing his own eyes as he held his husband's hands as if doing so would somehow transmit whatever thoughts or images the man beside him was currently processing. He understood where Tibs was coming from, or at least could guess where this sudden burst had come from, so knowing what he knew about the past made him once again trace patterns with his thumbs over the back of Tibs' hands.
When the silence was finally broken between then, Gabriel's posture did not relax any. The situation was far too delicate and sincere to feel too at ease where they sat. He nodded, slowly, taking in each word and the way that Tibs' eyes reflected any hidden meaning beneath the surface. He only relaxed when he saw the smile, and was quick to return it. Although he still felt a tinge of guilt that maybe, just maybe, he may be the reason from keeping the love of his life from a diamond in the rough opportunity.
"Whatever 'appens, I'll be there to support you," he smiled before leaning over to place a soft kiss on his husband's lips. "Even if you suddenly decide to become zis generation's Newt Scamander." He could always take his writing with him if it came to that. Because, truth be told, while he was putting on the brave face now...he had found himself wishing over these past months that he had just packed up and gone with him rather than stay behind because of stability.

Tiberius could tell that Gabriel felt guilty, but he didn't know how to explain that it wasn't a sacrifice. It was absolutely, unequivocally what Tiberius wanted for his.. their.. life.
He sighed into the kiss and smiled, eyes closed, as Gabriel pulled away. Reaching for his drink, he took a sip and looked around the room. It was... getting awfully crowded, wasn't it.
Turning back to Gabriel, he looked thoughtful. "What do you say we go get you those quills and then just go back to the rental. Open a bottle of wine and have dinner in, instead?" The conversation had been.. more serious than he had anticipated and some time to themselves was probably in order.

Lotus nodded after drinking more hot chocolate, "Why, of course." Not really, she had her reasons, and she wasn't planning on sharing them. Simple as that. It wasn't just about Stella. Or Mags, or all the pets that were there at the same time.
Laughter happened, it was a very soft one, but still laughing. "What an excuse. You have gotten better, I don't think you have to worry about burning anything." Except perhaps the food, but she was mostly referring to a house or apartment or the like. Also, he didn't even have to cook. Take smoothies as an example. Or Oakey's veggie drinks. No cooking required, and still healthy. Unless Tag decided to add incredible amounts of sugar. This Hogwartian was positively beaming, "Nope. Nothing wrong. It's a perfect plan." Definitely.
Quite frankly, she was tired of Hogwarts, so maybe that was it. That's what happens when you're ready to move on before your time is up. Nod, nod, "It's for fun, trust me." Airey wasn't making them draw any charts for class, this was sort of like a hobby. It counts. And now that she was finishing her sandwich, she missed her boyfriend's reaction, "Just remember I'm also available," since Lotus was quite familiar with math now. And physics, too.
There was still some hot chocolate left, she wanted to walk for a while, but did she really want to walk in the cold? Maybe it was best to stay inside with her boyfriend for a while longer.

Turning back to Gabriel, he looked thoughtful. "What do you say we go get you those quills and then just go back to the rental. Open a bottle of wine and have dinner in, instead?" The conversation had been.. more serious than he had anticipated and some time to themselves was probably in order.
Thoughts of their slight dip into reality behind him, but most certainly not forgotten, Gabriel simply eyed his glass of firewhiskey and entertained the thought of taking a sip. He HAD paid for it...but Merlin it was not what his palate was asking for.
But there was Tibs with the answer. "Zat sounds brilliant," he grinned, immediately standing and making sure he was still holding on to his husband's hand with at least one of his own. His firewhiskey still half full, he began to lead them away from the table and towards the door. "We 'ave months worth of proper catching up to do." And it would be better to do that without all the noise and crowds.
Adding a wink to the end of his thought, he pushed open the door and lead the pair of them out into the blustering - but not terribly unpleasant - weather.

He clasped his other hand around the hand he was already holding. It was freezing cold. Dec just didn't want Char's hand to fall off just because she refused to wear gloves.
"Well..." He began, leaning his chin on the hand incubator. "I'll be at school, if I get accepted, and you'll be LEARNING HERE, YES? And I'll come visit you on Hogsmeade. It'll be like old times." He smiled at her, knowing any second now she'll look at him with daggers in her eyes. Declan knew she didn't want to come back, but it's only his duty to remind her of what's good for her.
