This place was turning out to be a good place to do some homework. Not that Grayson was all that enthusiastic about the idea of getting some homework done -- there were better and less boring ways he could be spending his time -- but this wasn't a bad place. It had been where he'd gotten some Magical Creatures homework done.

Those freaking fairies.

The memory of them tugged at his heart a little but he wasn't going to say anything about it or show any sign of weakness or whatever it was. Instead, he pushed the thought away and made his way over towards a clump of rose bushes, a small jar held in his hands. The jar was for the rose thorns, of course, since today was the thirteenth day since he'd last tended to his potion.

Bending down near the first of the roses, the boy pulled out his dragon hide gloves from within his coat and strapped them on. The jar got a, "Scourgify!" because this was Potions stuff he was doing and everything needed to be clean, after all. Reaching over, the boy picked out one of the thorns and placed it into the jar. A shuffle over towards the next plant and he picked out another thorn. This was repeated over and over again until.....

........ he had seven? Seven thorns from seven different plants. He was past halfway, at least.

Could he take a break now or what?

"You ought to, it's a great honor to photograph an up and coming super model," Justine replied, flashing Lux a brilliant smile, though it dampened a bit when Tiger finally achieved his goal of climbing on top of her head, slightly messing u her lovely hair with his tiny paws. "Tiger, I didn't pick it out," Because she couldn't be known for picking such an uninspired name for a striped kitten. "Fuller... Fuller... " Justine said, her voice trailing off as she tried to remember if Fuller was hot or not - most of the Professor's were; like Thompson and of course her beloved Walton - "Oh yeah, he is nice... Decent teacher too." Not amazing, but his classes were fun on occasion.

Hehe. Justine could be so vain and Lux thought it was funny and cute. Just like the kitten climbing on her head. Happily she snapped picture after picture of the adorable pair. "That's so cute. I have a cat named Mr. Mittens and a cat named Arya!" But only Arya was at school with her.

Satisfied with all her instant pictures, she used the spell they had been taught to animate them. "See how amazing you two look," she told her friend as she held them out to her. "Yep, he's cool! My favourite Professors are Flamsteed and Culloden." Nod.

Benny had headed outside after leaving the entrance hall, following to where he believed the indicated spot on the map had been. Hopefully he was on the right path and would find what he was looking for soon, the clock on his wrist indicating much of the given hour had already past. It was now or never to find it so he could return to the divination tower a success. Otherwise it was in defeat and he would need assistance from the professor to find the dragon.

He was really hoping not to be a failure...again.

The Gryffindor walked down the pathways, scanning beside and in front of him for any sight of the white stuffed dragon. But to no avail. "Come on...come on..." he murmured as he grew frustrated. Ben was about to try the crystal again when he registered that there were in face hedges on either side of the path. Hedges that could easily hide something if he wasn't watching on BOTH sides of them.

Moving closer, he gingerly hopped over the nearest one to find himself on the clearer ground. He then walked his way back the way he had come, stopping in place as he spotted something promising. Only when he was closer to it did he allow himself to think positive about it. There, laying within the small gap between hedges was his gift from Angel. The stuffed dragon thankfully seeming none the worse to wear for its adventures as he picked it up.

To the Tower!

So where had his search led him?

To the pathways.

According to the fifth year, it would be best to reach a place and THEN ask the crystal if it was somewhere there or not. Good plan of action, wasn't it? Because the crystal could only answer yes and no questions. Besides, this was gonna take a lot of time out of the lesson, which was an idea that Grayson thoroughly approved of. Just saying.

So, heading off to one side to take a seat on the grass, the Slytherin pulled out the crystal and sat there, trying to focus again. Luckily it hadn't been raining recently, which meant that his bottom was nice and dry. He narrowed his eyes slightly and took a couple of deep breaths before asking, "Is my dragon ornament here, near the Pathways?"

Pause.

More pausing.

Long pause.

He could have gone and made himself a sandwich at this rate. Jeez, how long was this--

......................... And a line. So it WASN'T here, then. Fine. FINE.

Sighing, Grayson got up and started walking.
