Leaving the courtyard corridor, you will find yourself in an enclosed, squared courtyard. It is covered with bright green grass with various plants placed around the stone walls. This is the perfect place for meeting friends, or a chance of fresh air whilst catching up with your homework. There are plenty of stone benches placed around the area, too!

SEE! "I mean, it's soft anyway, but I use this conditioner potion thing... it's really good." He'd totally share his secrets if he wanted them. Everyone deserved hair as glorious as his. Hair was important.
Though of course, nobody was ever going to achieve this amount of perfect. But there you go.
"People throw stuff at me a lot. Sometimes it's food. You learn not to let things go to waste." Phe shrugged a little, still feeling kinda smug he'd caught it. "It's all about coordination. You've gotta watch it and kinda guess where it's going to land." And if you were throwing it yourself it helped. But he didn't mention that cause the boy seemed to be having trouble anyway.
Ha!"Epic name for an epic person." Phoenix winked, then laughed a bit. "Grayson's a cool name too." In fact, everyone round here had cool names, pretty much. Way more awesome names than half of his muggle friends anyway.
Lulz. Was he not gonna deny it? GOOD. He liked showey-offy people. He WAS a showey-offy person. Except, the boy preferred the terms 'self-confidence' and 'showing people what you're made of. So, approval smirks were given, whatever THOSE were.
WELL, the mane!boy CERTAINLY perked up Grayson's interests with the word 'potions'. He knew that there were potions to tame wild hair buuuut something told him that that wasn't it. "Oh yeah? What's the name of the potion?" C'mon and give him all your secrets.
.................. WHAT?!
"What the actual--" SIGH. Kids. There could be some of those little buggers around. He took a deep breath and shook his head before continuing, "If they're gonna throw food at you, I hope it's free food, man. And good food." There was a HUGE difference there. When Phoenix mentioned something about coordination, the Slytherin reached into his packet and took out another bean. Guess where it's gonna land, eh? "Even this tiny bugger? You can do that?"
"Confidence. I like that," he said, smirking once again at the boy, "Thanks. I haven't seen you around before, you know." Meaning, was he a transfer or an intruder? Spill. And tell him if he needed to hide anything, mkay?

Adi nodded. Abby must have obviously apologised after his and Angel's chat by the Lake. What did she just say? A repeat?
"A repeat anytime soon?'' he asked. "You plan to do that again?'' He eyed Abby. This one might be the bookworm but she didn't take things lightly. Oh, he had another question. "How about you and AJ. I hope you guys have worked out things.''
She was happy that he would play for her, she knew he was fantastic. She hoped he wouldn't be too disappointed, she typically messed up or lost track of time while playing.
It wasn't getting hurt that scared her, she was quite clumsy and flying around and being clumsy didn't seem to add up. She shrugged, "well, then if you think it's interesting, go out for quidditch. I can watch from the sidelines, I'm more than content to do that," she told him with a laugh.
He laughed slightly at the idea of him trying out for quidditch. "I think I'll learn how to fly first, maybe I'll try next time" yeah that would be good. Then he could see it, observe everything and then once he was in second or third year maybe he'd try out.
Maybe.
"So what's your home like?" he asked, figuring that that would be something fairly interesting.

She liked his idea, it was very reasonable. She couldn't wait to see the day when he began, she'd have a perfect reason to watch quidditch then. "My house? Let's see, it's pretty small, 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. There isn't much about it, its a sandy yellow but our yard is usually brownish, my mum and dad rarely have time to upkeep it and I'm not too good at that yet. Um, oh it smells like flowers all the time, my mum love flowers. It's usually just myself, so it's very quiet. You?" She bet his house must be very large and lively.

Adi smiled slightly. "Good.'' He should encourage his fellow students to stay out of trouble, yes? "That's great. I just want to say you could have handled the situation better but I suppose you've learnt a lesson or something.'' Perhaps that she hated to fight with her sisters.

It was time to read, but it was also beautiful outside so Vinnie decided to go read in the courtyard for a change. Usually she'd go to the lake but today she didnt feel like going too far. Also, the courtyard was the perfect place intbetween inside and outside. Just what she needed today. And if she felt like a hot chocolate the kitchen wasnt that far away.
Making her way outside the brunette couldnt help but smile. This term had started sooo differently already, it was gonna be a good one. As she arrived she spotted the empty bench on the right immediately. Perfect, sunny but a little sheltered. The Slytherin walked a little faster, as it seemed to be a bit crowded today and no one was allowed to steal that spot.
This was perfect.Sighing happily Vinnie sat down and opened her book.
Finally deciding to get fresh air and with a football in hand, the head boy wander off outside. It was better than then the stuffy dorm he kept himself in lately. Seeing his mood was up a bit today, Jun decided to play football. He didn't get the chance much over the summer due to certain events. But he was itching to play. Arriving at courtyard, he spotted a certain brunette and quietly snuck up behind her.
"Whatcha reading?" he whispered into her ear and kissed her cheek. Hi girlfriend.

Vinnie had started reading and got lost in the story. Whenever she read a good book or was playing drums, she lost track of time and forgot about her surroundings. It was like they swallowed her up. Actually she could go play some drums later. That would be cool and have Jun make her a burger. All of her fave things in one day.
.....
And then someone whispered in her ear and kissed her cheek. Jumping a little the brunette closed her book and turned around to give that person a look...but ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it was the boy she just thought about. A massive grin spreading on her face she said, " How to punish bad boyfriends that like to scare their girlfriends to death." Obviously she wasnt serious.

"Eh... ours is quite loud all of the time, which is expected with 10 of us" he laughed, thinking about it when he counted his parents. "We live in an apartment near Venice, it's quite big though... 7 bedrooms, so I'm one of the only one's with a room to myself" he did, and so did the baby of the family, his baby brother. "The buildings... a beige colour... sort of I suppose" he commented, scratching his head as he tried to think about this.
"For us it usually smells like food, my mum and I both enjoy cooking and baking so when I'm at home I do that to keep me busy"
Yup, it was lame....
But he was being honest about what it was like so oh well.

Adi nodded. He sure was pleased to hear about that. "So uh, listen. I've got to get going now. It was nice to finally get to talk to you. Other than at the Feast, that is.'' He had been in prefect mode then. Adi stood up. "See you around.''

Approval smirks received happy smirks in return. What was even going on here..? Smirky exchanges apparently... That was one way of communicating, anyway. Phoenix was good at communication in most ways, except when it involved like... long words and stuff.
Potions name? "Um... Something with the words silky and soft in. I'll find the bottle and let you know." It was supposed to make your hair light and fluffy or something, he wasn't exactly sure. "It's a wonderwitch thing." No shame. It made his hair feel good, y'see?
"Well, I can be pretty annoying." So that was why people threw things at him so often... anyway. "Oh always free food, and usually delicious. But I pretty much eat anything so y'know.." It didn't really matter to him, especially if he was basically being fed. Throwing things at him didn't have the desired effect most of the time... it rarely shut him up, that's for sure. "Try me." Y'know, with the jelly bean. He could totally do this. Hopefully.
Confidence. Yes. "I wear it like a robe." He gave a little hair flick and leaned back a bit, all nonchalant and stuff. "I was homeschooled, but my tutor quit." ... TOTALLY not his fault. Probably. "I'm a handful." He was more than one handful, let's be realistic.
"Eh... ours is quite loud all of the time, which is expected with 10 of us" he laughed, thinking about it when he counted his parents. "We live in an apartment near Venice, it's quite big though... 7 bedrooms, so I'm one of the only one's with a room to myself" he did, and so did the baby of the family, his baby brother. An apartment? Wow, she always wanted to live in an apartment. Venice made it even sweeter. "Wow, what is it like in Venice?" she asked. She wanted to travel so bad. "That's very cool, it sounds like a lot of fun! You must be very responsible with all those younger siblings and you being the oldest!" "The sky is so pretty," she sighed, she wanted to go up there but with her fear she couldn't. "So, tell me something interesting about you," she sighed. She wanted to hear more about Leo, what made him, well him.

"Oh, that's a shame. Guess the bad boyfriend will go find another girlfriend to bother," He laughed and kissed her cheek again. Settling next to her, Jun set the ball under his feet and started rolling it. "So what are you really reading? A history book?" Because those are the kind she usually read. The boy only put only some effort into reading books. He would have to be super interested in them to read. Like that book Connor lent him over the summer.

Although, as she had compared some of them, they linked to a possible paragraph to the book she was reading that night. Something that Isla could understand, right?
Getting over stuff... Paloma raised her eyebrow and looked back at Isla. "Like...what you told me about your owl...and...?" Yeah, she was curious about the other stuff Isla would talk to her about. After all, they were becoming good friends; the kind of friends that would trust each other with their problems...to have some empathy with...
"And eating donuts, could probably be the best thing you could do around here. I certainly miss the fresh sweet bread from home..." Which her mother made, but couldn't send her because it'd arrive all icky and not so sweet after such a windy trip from Spain.
She laughed at Isla mimmicking her, shrugging. "I guess I'm alright. Balancing classes, and some of my practice time...eating cotton candy..." She said, pulling a big bag of the delicious treat from her backpack.
With a nod, she assented that the vicious cat close to Isla was HERS. "Yep, that's...Vader. Darth Vader..." She wriggled her eyebrows and took the cat in her arms. "Don't worry, if he wanted to attack you, he would've done it by now..." True that....
Oh right. Paloma spoke Spanish. Duh. "I almost forgot that you could." She laughed. "Well you can still read them if they're in Spanish. You just have to switch languages in your brain." Seemed pretty difficult to Isla though.
She nodded as Paloma started questioning her about her owl. "Yeah, all of that. I'm feeling a little better now. Just mourning I guess." She shrugged. Rocky would always be her only and favorite owl. No matter what. "You're absolutely right. I think I've been spending way too much time in the kitchen though with the elves." She laughed. You could never have too many donuts or bread for Paloma.
COTTON CANDY?!? The brunette's eyes widened. "Where is that at? Do they make that in the kitchen too?" She said, jumping up and down like a maniac. She eyed Paloma's cat every so often just in case it decided to attack. "Because that makes me feel better." She said, looking back down at the cat again. No wonder the cat's name was Darth Vader.
An apartment? Wow, she always wanted to live in an apartment. Venice made it even sweeter. "Wow, what is it like in Venice?" she asked. She wanted to travel so bad. She wanted to hear more about Leo, what made him, well him.
What was it like in Venice? He himself was madly in love with the city that he lived in so he had a feeling this would get rather romanticised and cheesy, but that didn't really matter. "Venice is... beautiful" he finally settled on the word beautiful because Leo honestly didn't know how else to describe it. "It's a bit easy to get lost because much of it looks the same, but it's still got an old look to it that carries it's history?" Was that the right way to phrase it? He hoped that was the right way to phrase it...
And then talk about him being responsible, he chuckled slightly. He could be responsible... when he wanted to be. But he was still 11, it's not like it had made him a 20 year old. "Sometimes..." he trailed off, not really going into any detail for it.
Something interesting about Leo. He bit his lip as he thought about it for a few moments. What made him special? What was interesting. "Well... I live in Italy because of my step-father, my mother is English" that was kind of interesting wasn't it? "I've never been that into sport but I got involved with parkour when I was... 8 I think. Other than that I enjoy playing guitar as you know and cooking" or baking... baking was also pretty fun, but were any of those things interesting? "What about you?"
Vinnie just started laughing, she knew they werent being serious but if people listened to them....not that she cared, but still it was hilarious. "Ohh no...but this girlfriend wants him to make it better", she said pulling him closer. A kiss never hurt right? And people could look away if they didnt want to see it...
"Actually...its not proper history but kind of", the brunette smiled," its an ancient story about dragons and people who ride them. " She had really gotten into that story during last term and there were soooooo many books about it. It was amazing. Sometimes Vinnie sounded like a right nerd...it amused her.

Sophie had a few hours to go before she was meant to head down to the lake, and since she didn't really have any homework to do, she found herself hanging out in the courtyard. She'd nearly zoned out completely during that first Divination class, so she'd catch up on whatever that homework was later on.
For now, she was focused on one thing and one thing only, and that was the fact that Grayson had invited her to the lake for...well, to hang out, of course, but OH EM GEE. This was her first 'hang out' at the lake with a boy, and she just hoped her brother didn't find out about it between now and then. She was lost in her thoughts, thinking about that lake meet-up, while sitting on a random bench.
Zahra lay on her back on one of the many empty stone benches. It was kind of nice out today, lots of clouds moving in. No doubt it'd rain later, but for now the clouds were making some pretty epic shapes overhead. She brushed the grass below with fingertips, but otherwise was still and quiet - an usual state of being for her.

Connor walked into the courtyard, he had gone for a jog and was headed back to the Common Room. It looked like rain but when didn't it look like rain? It was Scotland so rain was a constant thing. But there was another Gryffindor, he didn't think he knew her..
So maybe he would go say hi? He needed more Lion friends. It seemed like he was always hanging out with Claws and Puffers, not that there was a thing wrong with that. "Hey.. mind if i sit with you?" He asked, trying to not seem rude and just sit down uninvited.

It was almost November, so Lux was bundled up a little more than she would have liked to be as she headed out to the courtyard. It wasn't that she liked the cold - her dislike had increased if anything - but the warm weather was supposed to stay, not slowly leave her. This Hufflepuff had enough of winter to last her forever.
Finding a nice bench to sit on, she pulled out some of her homework so she can begin working. Not the most interesting thing to do with her time, but she couldn't find Bay anywhere. Maybe he was in his Common Room or something.

Ian was chillin’ like a villain, sprawled out on one of the benches and flipping through the pages of the latest Sports Illustrated issue. Blahblahblahhhhahahlkshgfk. Words words words. All he cared about were the pictures of hot girls in bikinis.
The Gryffindor was only distracted when a red ball of fire with legs walked past him, to sit on the bench across from his.
Tossing the magazine behind him, Ian laid on his side, propping his blond head on his hand, Cheshire-cat smile all over his face. “PSST. Mermaid girl.”
