The school year had not begun until Toby had paid Professor Botros his annual start-of-term visit. He arrived at the little waiting area outside the professor's office (one of the most relaxing places in the school, though he'd never really stopped for long enough to appreciate this) and knocked on the door in the same way manner as usual.

Toby decided not to sit, preferring instead to stand where he was and have another look at the trophy board thing, just to look at Ella's name on there. He could almost pretend like she was still here, y'know? Almost. Kinda. Ahem. Oh man, and Alice Fischer was on there too. Toby would be lying if he didn't admit to fanboying over Alice a liiiiiiiiiittle bit; she played for his favourite team now and HE could say he'd played on the same PITCH with her. Yup. Fanboy. Who else's name did he recognise on here...?

Botros WAS inside his office at this time of the day. He didn't have his crup with him yet so things were quiet and tidy and... boring. Until his door was knocked, and the old man slightly startled from where he sat on his rocking chair with a Daily Prophet issue in his hands.

"Come in!"

Agatha Hapgood marched all the way up to the fifth floor with a very determined look on her face. Clutching a piece of parchment in one of her hands, the girl arrived in the 'Ancient Runes' area. She had never been there before so she took a look around and quickly absorbed the details.

She noticed the... Odin's Trophy Board? What on earth... she stepped closed and squinted to read the names.... of Ethan Mordaunt, Simon Holden and Zander Adair amongst others. The Slytherin rolled her eyes and stepped away from the wall after one last glance. What a silly thing to do. Select the top best people. Pffft.

Whatever. She wasn't here for any of that rubbish. She had important matters to discuss - more like, ask and expect an answer - with the Ancient Runes professor and she had no time to waste. Even though she had nothing to do after this meeting. But whatever.

Knock knock knock. The girl stood behind the office door, waiting.

Botros was inside his office, lounging on his big rocking chair by the fireplace. His crup was not in school this year, so it was VERY quiet. Except for the occasional knocks of his visitors.

"It's open, come in." He called from inside.

Knock knock kock knock.

So....she might have knocked a little harder than intended but this was a new lead she'd neglected to follow up in the case of her missing candy bag and wand. How could she NOT have remembered? It must have been all the crazy going around and the planning that had to go into the Prefect Event, but lying dejected on her bed, watching her kneazle return empty handed got her thinking...and thinking...until she realized she hadn't exhausted all options.

This was the reason for her banging at the Professor's door. Hopefully he was in, hopefully, otherwise she might have had a momentary lapse in better judgement and gone sacking his office anyway.

This was serious. If Airey's wand tried killing her just one more time she'd snap it in half. Last time she did that, it was only a student's wand and she got detention for it. Imagine how much worse it would be breaking a Professor's. So yeah, desperate times called for desperate measures and all that jazz.

BE HERE PROFESSOR. No on wanted the Gryffindor spending her time in the dungeons.

Botros was taking his usual nap on his rocking chair by the fireplace, a big old book rested in his lap, open. He'd fallen asleep again while he was searching for more material for next class. Until there was a quake in his dream and he startled awake. His glasses askew and the blanket falling down on the floor, Botros ran towards the door and swung the door open. WERE THEY ATTACKED?

Oh. Cambridge. He yawned and stretched, feeling the aftereffect of that two steps run to the run. "Evening, dear." Streeeeeeetch. "Want to come in?"

Zander didn't really have anything particularly important to discuss with Botros-- or well, it might've not been important in someone like Agatha's eyes, but it was definitely a very important issue for Zander!! But out of all the people at Hogwarts Zander needed Botros. For one particular reason and one reason only. Not like Zander didn't like Botros because really he did. The old man was a nice enough Professor, just Zander hadn't ever grown particularly close to him as he knew Simon and Ethan had. Besides, it was only ever the second time he'd come by the office.

So with smile placed on his face, the Gryffindor walked up to the door and knocked precisely three times.

Botros was, as usual at this time of the day, in his office reading with scrolls and scrolls spread out across his office's floor. When he heard knocking on his door, he lifted his head from one of the old big books on his desk, "Come in, it's open!" He called out.

Hopefully, whoever would step in had the courtesy to mind the scrolls and parchments on the floor and wouldn't step on anything.
