The castle houses numerous suits of armour, scattered all about, but one of the most impressive collections can be found on the second floor, as if guarding the way to the Headmistress' chambers. Why, even their spacing down this corridor could be a deliberate attack pattern.
Careful what you try with these dusty, dirty, squeaky knights. They can be rather... animated.
Making sure that NO ONE was around, Maggie had moved down a seemingly empty corridor. Almost empty. Apart from a few random suits of armor. But she didn't mind them. They looked like someone had dumped them there. They were probably broken or something. So after looking around one last time, the first year got out her wand and...
....just held it in her hand.
Then switched it to the other hand. And back again. Held it the wrong way. Tried to balance it on the palm of her hand. Hmm. She needed to figure out how to best make use of it. And for that she FIRST needed to figure out how to hold it properly. Finally she settled with holding it with both hands, like a heavy sword. Like that she turned on one of the suits of armor.
Not bad. Hmm. She looked very menacing, didn't she?

Chomper had run off AGAIN. Beverly wasn't all that worried. He was a clever little creature and seemed to know how to slip out of trouble. She couldn't help wonder where he'd gone to, though. If she was Chomper, where would she go?
The kitchens. Most definitely there because food. Beverly was pretty sure in whatever life she's lived and will ever live food would be one of her favorite things.
Walking down a random hall, her fingers trailing along the wall, instead of finding her beloved Chomper Beverly came across a little one -- not a creature little one -- whom holding her wand as if she were a knight. What a curious way to hold it.
"That suit of armor should be running for the hills," Beverly said solemnly. If the girl were bigger and not tiny, then she'd look like someone who could kick bum. Then again...little ones were dangerous when they didn't know how to manage a wand. Beverly knew this by experience so she kept her distance.

Aim away from her. Thank you!

Maggie had been so focused on practicing her wand movements that she hadn't heard the other girl approach her. So she literally jumped in surprise when she spoke to her. And then turned around so her wand was pointed at the Prefect. There were even small sparks coming from its tip.
That was when she dropped the wand to the floor, almost as if the wood had burned her fingers.
What...was...this.......she stared at the Prefect a little wide-eyed. She hated having been caught in such an awkward situation. Because it just was. After a few seconds, she finally managed to get a grip of herself and reached down to pick up her wand again. Her eyes had narrowed slightly by now.

Inner CACKLE.
She totally scared the little one and it AMUSED this Wayne more than it should. It wasn't at all amusing, though, when a wand was pointed at her...and SPARKS were coming out of it. Instinctively, she reached for her wand, but seeing as the girl dropped hers, Beverly kept her wand at her side. She was a witch. A Wayne. Her first instinct was to protect herself. No matter how tiny her opponent was.
"Ten points for almost attacking a Prefect, and expect a citation from our Head of House."
Her face did not betray that she was only joking and hoping to Merlin it scared the younger girl. What? A little joke never hurt anyone.

.............................WHAT??
Maggie remained silent for a moment. Simply looking at the Prefect. Had she just...taken points from her? Essentially from her own house too. That was just stupid. And she couldn't care less. Pfft. "You're in MY house." She pointed out, putting her wand away - not that it was any use anyway.

..............
Oh, boo, you little booger.
No fun with this one.
Beverly folded her arms on her chest, unimpressed. "I know that, I'm not stupid enough to take points I earned." Maybe she should stick to scowling instead of attempting to joke. "It was a joke." Ha. Ha. No.

"What were you doing with your wand?"
Oh. So she HADN'T taken points then.
Maggie smirked slightly. "It wasn't funny." The joke. It really hadn't been. It hadn't even been a JOKE. At least not to her. She brushed down her dress and crossed her arms over her chest as well. The Prefect might have been older but she was certainly cooler. And better.
Oh right. Her wand. "Practicing my moves." Which, to be honest, WAS actually quite close to the truth.

It wasn't funny. Thank you, she didn't need to be told that. Her brother was the funny one in the family. >__>
Whatever.
The girl had attitude. Good. At least she wasn't showing signs of being a little crybaby. Beverly couldn't stand those. "Practicing your moves by dropping your wand? Do you even know how to hold it?" Her eyes softened a little.
She could help the booger if she needed it. By observation, Beverly had a feeling the girl wouldn't ask.

This wasn't his first encounter with the suits of armour in the school, but he was confident this one would be a BETTER experience. See, unlike the last time, he wouldn't go touching it all over the place and getting it all dirty. Nope. He had homework.
After making his way back up to the castle from the greenhouses, Zeke trudged his way up the stairs and stopped on the second floor. These suits were SHINNYYY... and they were awesome. Yep. Taking out his camera, he moved toward one and stopped a little way in front of it, before offering it a salute.
When the armour too raised its arm to return the gesture, Zeke's finger clicked down on the capture button. Huzzah! Awesome knightly suit of armour photo for the win!
Eagerly, Zeke returned the camera to his bag pocket, and pulled out his wand, tapping the photo he now held in his hand. "Alacer."
The image of the suit of armour moved, its arm returning to its side - its pre-salutation position. Neat.
Grinning, Zeke added the photo to his growing collection and placed his wand back in its holster.
One more to go!!!! And without another moments hesitation, he continued up the corridor to the next flight of stairs.

Arya had gotten away AGAIN.
Sighing, Lux looked among the suits of armour trying to find her cheeky cat. "You have to be around here somewhere." So what if she was talking to a cat? It wasn't as if anyone was around to hear her.
Knowing that loud noises scared Arya, she started to rattle one of the suits of armour.

Chance had been on his way to the Great Hall. His stomach was calling again. He was forever hungry, hi mum called it the growing boy syndrome. I bet she was happy to have him and his never ending stomach out of the house for a while.
Chance grinned at the thought as he continued down. Hearing a noise, Chance stopped in his tracks out of curiosity. Was the suit of armor talking? Not that it wouldnt be unusual at a place like Hogwarts, but it would be amusing. Maybe he could get the suit of armor to do something for him. The pranks were endless.
He headed toward the suit and noticed where the voice was coming from. A girl was calling for something. "Are you looking for something?" Chance asked, leaning against the wall watching her, amused.

Cinna walked along the corridor with a box full of jelly slugs and gross favorited Bette Botts. Why exactly was she carrying a box full of her most hated candy? To throw at the suit of armor of course. Call it her anger management therapy. It was good fun honestly.
Yes, it was a waste of candy, for shame for shame. But safe HATED jelly slugs and anyone who really know her knew that she hated them. Why people still gave then to her was beyond anything.
To her surprise she spotted to people just ahead a bit. Even more of a surprise was that she knew BOTH of them. "Lux!" She beamed at her bestie. "Chance? What are you guys doing there?" Really, no was ever here when she came up here for he anger management therapy. Not that she minded it was just something she preferred to do alone.

Clang! Clang! Clang!
Continuing to rattle the armour, Lux really couldn't be surprised that her racket had attracted attention. At least it was in the form of a boy instead of Peeves. Her one and only encounter with the poltergeist had been when he ruined her date, and she did not want to be in his company ever again.
"I'm looking for my cat," she told him as she stopped jostling the armour. It occurred to her suddenly that she was being rather discourteous to an outfit a brave knight had worn in the past.
Hearing her name, she turned to her bestie. "Cinna! I'm looking for Arya." Her cat was naughty and liked to get away to explore. Rolling her eyes, she noticed the Jelly Slugs. "Ewww, what are you doing with those?" Nose crinkle. Jelly Slugs were DISGUSTING.

Hearing another person come up, Chance grinned when he recognized the other person that had shown up. "Oh Hey Cinna!" he said grinning. Chance looked back at the girl when she said that she was looking for her cat. "She's--" he started before the girl had started telling Cinna what she was doing and obviously they were on good speaking terms because obviously Cinna knew what the cats name was.
"Well what does this cat look like?" Chance asked as he started looking for it as well. He would help at least. There was no reason not too. His stomach was momentarily out of his mind. So he had other thoughts in there... like making friends. Saving a cat. Who knew what else!

Cinna was here. She say the box on the floor when she got to them. She smiled as she moved closer to them. "Hey, Chance." She turned to Lux now. She was looking for Arya, her cat. Geez Cinna like never seen her cat, Merlin. She took him home at Christmas and bought her back after break. She hadn't see that orange fuzz ball since.
Oh wait? Did Lux and Chance know each other. "Oh Chance, this is Lux, she's my best friend." She turned to Lux and grin at her bestie. "Lux, this is Chance. He's my new Gryffindor friend."
Anyway... What was she doing with what? Oh yeah the box of jelly slugs. "Oh nothing really." She would much rather help her best friend look for her cat than explain why she was carrying a big box of jelly slugs around.

It was nice to see that Cinna and this boy knew each other, but she was not sure if she had ever met him. "Nice to meet you, Chance," she said after Cinna had made the introductions. Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out a picture. "She's older now, but she still looks like that, just bigger."
Raising her brow, she still had no idea what Cinna was doing with Jelly Slugs when she hated them. "You haven't started to like them, have you?" Because that would be totally weird.
Hogwarts RPG Name: The Fairy Tale Book of Fairy Tales
Graduated
Appearing in mid air the strongly glowing book bumped into the head of a suit of armour before it tumbled to ground with a small thud. Overhearing human voices chatting nearby about being on the hunt for it, the book let out a high pitched amused giggle. The giggle bounced off the suits of armours and resonated in the whole room and out into the corridor.
Not waiting to see if any humans would come looking the book gave up a last giggle before it disappeared without a trace.

Ian was standing there when he heard a noise over by the suits of armor. He started heading in that direction and then heard a high pitched giggling sound. Is it possible the book was here? He began looking around. After a period of time, it appeared there wasn't anything here and perhaps it had been a figment of his imagination running wild.
Nessa hurried over to the suits of armor as she saw Ian suddenly head that way. And she could have sworn she heard giggling. But by the time she reached the suits of armor area, there was nothing there that she could see.
"Did you see anything, Ian?" she asked, her brown eyes turning on him once more. "When I saw the book.." And apparently was possessed, but by whom she did not know. "I was at another group of suits of armor on another floor," she let everyone know. Was there a clue to that? She did not know, but she thought it could be helpful. Maybe the book liked the suits of armor or something. She took another look behind each of the armor again to see if she missed something.

Ian looked to the professor crest fallen. No professor. By the time I got here, whatever it was disappeared. I'm glad you heard it. I thought my mind was playing tricks on me. He heard her say that she had been around suits of armor when she had been around the book. He shrugged and then added. When I saw it, it was in the common room. No armor.

She really had been attempting to grade papers, honest. But... she had heard strange noises in the corridor, and she just had to come investigate. Was that Nessarose? And... a student, but his back was towards her, so she couldn't tell. "Oh, Professor Glendower, it's just you. I thought I had heard something else, no worries." That strange giggling noise was either in her head or had come from her colleague.
Toby had followed suit and hurried along to the suits of armour after the professor and the boy from his house, but it seemed like if the book HAD been spotted it had done its vanishing act, or it was just a false alarm. The fifth year slowed to a stop upon reaching the group, noting the addition of the now-Arithmancy professor.
"Hi Professor Tanner," he greeted the woman with his customary smile. "Are you joining the search party too?" As he said it, Tobias wandered across to a nearby suit of armour and peeked behind it, as though he might magically find the book. "I bet if the whole school gets in on this, we'll find this book in no time."

Oh, and there was Tobias! He was greeting her before Nessarose had even gotten a chance to respond. "Hello, Mr. Tempus!" Did Hufflepuffs usually frequent the second floor? "Search party? What are we looking for? I could be persuaded to jump in.." Because she hadn't reeeally wanted to grade those papers anyways.
Hmm. Had it been the book that Ian noticed? He didn't see anything either but at least she didn't imagine the noise. "Perhaps it was the book.." She wasn't grasping at straws, was she? "From some of the personal anecdotes in the library, it would seem that it is characteristic of the book to vanish.." Though it was strange that it wouldn't want to stick around to possess one of them as it seemed that that was what it did.. "Tell me, Ian," Nessa began, turning her brown eyes on the boy. "Did you happen to get possessed by the book?" She thought that she was, but she had no idea whose characteristics she had taken on.
Nessa had gotten lost in that thought a moment when suddenly Tobias had caught up to them and there was Tiara. "Well, what did you hear?" she asked her colleague, hoping she had some insight, then listened to the brief interaction between her and the Hufflepuff boy. "Yes, search party.." she confirmed with a nod. "Do you remember the conversation we had during the Gobstones match with Professor Cassie and Miss Wright joined in talking about a book? It seems she might have been on to something.. We just came from Book Club and many have had a similar experience and this book might be the source of some strange occurrences. We're hoping to find it.. but I think it's teasing us.." At least if what she heard was indeed the book, it didn't appear to want to be found..
