The fourteen year old girl was quite surprise at the large group of students who were ushered into the great hall to be sorted. Sure there were all the first years, but there were actually a fair amount of older students waiting to be sorted it as well. It wasn't just her and her Diagon Alley friend Puck, who happened to be standing on the other side of the group. Standing among some of the transfers didn't help calm the nerves that were bubbling up inside her. They were probably way more advance than she was, considering things. She was so nervous, she wasn't paying much attention to the large hall, or to the others being sorted. She didn't even hear the professor call her name, and they had to say it again before she realized that it was her turn. “Oops,” she mumbled to her self, and gave an apologetic “Sorry” to the professor and those around her. Sitting on the stool, the hat was placed on her head, and started saying things about her in her ear. Kara shifted uncomfortably as it mentioned things about her dad, and and then her little sister. It also said something about bravery and loyalty, kindness and resourcefulness. It told her that she would need a lot of hard work and ambition if she was going to catch up with those in her year. She gulped and nodded and she heard the hat proclaim its decision to everyone in the great hall. “HUFFLEPUFF!” |
