Was the November cold coming in from the outside? Is the heating going bad in the tower or has something or someone just entering the room? As a cold chill settled in the room it might make one wander if it is there by coincidence or is it meant to be there?

Okay. Okay. Okay. This was... really quite creepy. All of a sudden Toby was seriously regretting coming to this meeting. He'd not said the words that Professor Morgan had told them to say, but he'd also not broken the connection or let go of anyone's hand, because he didn't want to ruin anything. Instead he just sat there, suddenly very still, just a teeeeeeeensy bit unnerved.

It was weird, because Toby knew that GHOSTS were a thing, but this felt different, because it wasn't ABOUT ghosts. It was just... man. No. He wasn't sure, man. All the muggle movies where this happened always ended badly.

Toby stared across the table at Professor Morgan and shifted slightly in his seat. Man, it was kinda cold in here.

What were the odds that one missing voice would keep the spirit from the room? Not big right? There were enough chanters and darn it all the Gryffindor just happened to think she'd be all out of concentration if she opened her mouth to join them so she kept her eyes closed and her ears half open to the monotony that the words had become. Definitely wouldn't be in want for the one voice that would not be raised.

Were she a little less entertained she might have unlinked hands with the others, just to see if something would still happen but you had those die hard Diviners to be out there and one might flip and yell and make a scene or something. Eh, she could do without that, thanks.

Yes yes, hurry up old man, this chant was getting to her and she could feel her braincells slipping away with each new one.

Also, had someone opened the window? How weird of them.

Samantha could suddenly feel a chill in the air. To say that Samantha wasn't starting to feel a bit scared would be a lie. Samantha wasn't experienced in seances so she didn't know if the sudden change in temperature was related to the weather or something more supernatural.

Still having trouble clearing her mind, it was even harder for Lux to focus after hearing what Professor Cassie said next. This was one seriously creepy meeting, and just because she had come to terms with all the Hogwarts ghosts (besides the Bloody Baron), didn't mean she was cool with being a part of a seance.

Squeezing Bay's hand, she refrained from saying the words Professor Cassie had wanted them to. It was a mistake even coming here. At least she was holding Bay's hand; he made her feel safe.

... And was that a draft against her neck? Had someone opened a window?

..... Was it just him or was this only getting creepier and creepier? Zander's eyes were closed prior to this point, but he couldn't help but lift one eyelid to look around. As soon as his eyes hit Professor Morgan, he closed them shut once again. You know, incase she could sense it or something. But this was getting really strange.

AND THEN HOLY MERLIN WHY DID IT GET SO COLD?! Had it not been for the fact that others were holding onto his hands, he would've definitely pulled back because that chill more than definitely spooked him. Was that Henry William Morgan Person? .... Maybe everyone was wrong about divination. Maybe this stuff wasn't to be messed with

Could they be done now? Because Zander just ate and William Morgan Henry Whatever-his-face didn't need to show up and spook them any more. Or else the ghost wouldn't be the only thing people could sense. 'Cause ahem. His stomach was feelin' kind of weird, people.

The fear and nonbelievers seemed to be puling the positive energy away.

With a little flicker of the candles the room went back to it's cozy warmth that it had just moments before.

Ian had been slowly relaxing into the chant when he suddenly felt the room grow cold. He opened his eyes to look around and see what had caused the sudden chill and saw only the people who were in the room with him. It was working, they were getting... and just as soon as the chill entered the room! he saw the candle flicker and it got warm again. Ian frowned as it seemed that it had only briefly happened. He wanted to say something, but thought that might bring negative energy.

He closed his eyes again and tried to calm himself once again. This was really exciting!

This was.................................... weird. That was the only way to describe it. But, he wasn't scared. He was a Gryffindor, and this was not inferi magic, so there was no fear.

THINGS were actually happening though - and not happening at the same time, which was EXCITING, and he was looking forward to seeing this thing/person. Was it like, a ghost? Or a shadow of a ghost? WHAT WOULD IT LOOK LIKE?!

In time with Professor Cassie, Zeke repeated her words... only... lower.

Angel was scared very scared what was going on she wasn't going to say what the Professor had asked them to because she really didn't want a ghost in the room... it might just decide to use anyone as a host a ghost didn't really ask you know.

Angel decided that she'd best try and calm down or the ghost or whatever it was wouldn't come in and she didn't want to get told off. She took deep breaths and then she counted until 10 in her head and she was suddenly relaxed. It was okay Mr Ghost you can come in if you want. Suddenly without thinking she was saying what the Professor wanted them to say.

"Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us"

Angel just waited to see what would happen.

Jasmine felt the room get colder suddenly. Did anyone else feel that? Grandfather Morgan, is that you? Not that Jasmine was a doubter, but she had never experienced anything like this. She tried to keep her focus. However, just as suddenly as it had come, the chill was gone. A little candle flicker was there for effect. "What just happened?", Jasmine thought to herself. Still she tried to keep concentrating, hoping they could connect with the spirit on the re-dial.

Did that sudden chill mean that old Mister Grandfather Morgan was there? Adi stared around, trying to determine where the man could be by trying to figure out where the chill was emitting from.

But a moment later, the warmth had returned. Had he imagined the whole thing? O_O Adi shrugged. Maybe he had.

She was still holding hands with the people next to her and her focus was on the center of the table, she heard people saying the words, good, it was going to work. When the familiar chill came in she smiled knowing she'd see him soon right where her green eyes stayed, but then it was gone and her smile turned into a frown.

Why wasn't it working. She glanced around the room and that's when she noticed, eyes closed, scared faces, and some not chanting. The eyes closed was easy, she knew right away she forgot to say something about it. In a quiet comforting tone she tried to calm them as well as inform. "You don't have to keep your eyes closed, please if you wish to see anything the center of the table is usually the best place." She felt bad for not saying that before. "Take a few deep breaths. I promise all of you, nothing bad will happen. I've done this many times. Try to calm your fears and relax."

Adjusting in her seat she made her voice more flat again, "Now for the ones that are not chanting with us, I will only ask this once more, if you do not wish to participate in this evenings meeting please head out now. We need everyone's voice to make the connection. If one person holding hands isn't fully focused we will not get to see anything." This was very important.

"Now let's all try again." Taking a deep breath she started, "Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us. Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us. Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us."

Now grandpa it is time.

Jasmine listened as Professor Cassie explained that they could open their eyes, but had to remain focused. She had been one of the students with their eyes tightly shut because she thought she was supposed to keep them that way. She wasn't exactly afraid, but maybe a tad unsettled and wary of the unknown.

When it was time to try again, Jasmine joined Professor Cassie in calling on her grandfather. "Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us. Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us. Henry William Morgan be guided by the lights of the world and visit upon us." Come back grandfather Morgan.

Toby wasn't able to place just WHAT was making him so unnerved about all of this, because it didn't really make sense. It was just so different from usual ghost stuff, and he was SORT of thinking about OTHER things. Family things. Grandfather things. And it just... well... he didn't feel so great right now. Thinking about death and everything just... no, he didn't like it. If the room was better lit, the Hufflepuff may have looked a little... iffy. He was very very far from being a non-believer.

It was those words from Professor Morgan that finally got Toby to act. He'd been intending to stay here so as not to disturb anything, but really he'd not been very focused on this from the start (his knees were still bouncing under the desk). And... well, with feeling so weird about it in general, it was only fair that he left.

Without hesitation, Toby suddenly let go of the hands of whoever sat either side of him and stood, before scraping his chair back and stepping away from the table. Without a word, and trying not to seem TOO eager to leave, the sixteen year old made a swift exit. He'd have to go back and apologise to Professor Morgan later, but he just wasn't into this today.

Her eyes were open the moment they were allowed to be and much to her expectations, there was nothing to the centre of the table. The cold she'd felt moments before was only a fleeting one as the room had regained its temperature and Lex was left wondering what all the chanting had been for. Were they waiting on something to happen...because nothing did and as much as she had always thought nothing would happen, she'd have been a little intrigued, it being so related to what she'd wanted to find out about anyway.

But then Professor Smiles said that and without thinking it through fully, Alexa released the hands of the persons to either side of her, noting Toby had done the same. The only difference in their actions would probably be that after pushing away from the table, the Gryffindor didn't head for the door just yet.

"I don't think it'll work, even if I do chant," which she didn't plan to, like at all, "so would I be able to stand here and watch? Don't reckon I'll 'disrupt the positive energy' from here." No, she didn't want to be a part of this but Alexa had the curiosity of a Gryffindor with a ten inch stick near a sleeping dragon so of course she still wanted to see...

Kace felt the chill coming into the room and noticed the spirit was coming. Huh...i guess this was working. He believed in spirits. He didn't have to keep his eyes close which was a good thing because he wanted to know what was going on. He obviously kept his concentration on the chanting. He didn't see anything move but he felt the temperature drop like 10 degrees. He was getting goosebumps on his arm.

He began to still holding his classmates hand and chanted, "Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us....Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us..."But why did they have to do it about her grandpa. Why couldn't they channel their loved ones?

Ohh! The center of the table? Adi hadn't known hence he kept glancing randomly around the room. And Professor Morgan knew they were scared or had misgivings about this. Adi included, though he tried to act cool. Shhh. Don't tell anyone. LOL.

But the Hufflepuff listened to the woman's calm voice. She was reassuring them. Well, he could put his misgivings aside since he had grown fond of her. He focused as he chanted. "Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us. Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us. Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us."

Wait, had...it gotten colder? Rumple certainly thought so. Was it possible that this mad woman actually DID have the power of the Dark One? Sitting up straighter, Rumpelstiltskin was definitely intrigued. He was much more interested in this now. He didn't care about who this person was they were trying to call, but if they could just DO it...he'd know that she was no fake and he could use that to his advantage!

Ian heard the professor speaking and opened his eyes. When she said they could keep their eyes opened Ian grinned. This would make it even more exciting. Then he noticed that she seemed to be rather irritated. He looked around and then back at the center of the table. He decided he wouldn't be the reason that this wasn't going to work. Then a student got up and forged a hasty exit. And then head girl stood up. Ian made sure his hands were clasped with those beside him and he began to chant again, hoping to make this work. He really hoped his thoughts of the boat cresting waves on a sunshiny day would be enough to help. Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us. Her concentration broken when she saw a movement and watched Toby leave the classroom. It was very disheartening to see him leave, to see any of the members leave. Maybe this was a bad idea, maybe she was doing things way to advance for their little minds this term. Her eyes flickered to Zeke, he was the youngest, but yet he was sitting there trying. She could still do this with the rest of the members and maybe talk with Toby later.

Taking few deep breaths she saw another get up. This was starting to interfere with her zone she had been in. Hearing Lex's words in her not normal bouncy state she got up and walked towards the girl. "Miss Cambridge, you signed up for SNAC because you wanted to learn more about the subject and if you are going to be a nonbeliever I'm not sure why you would ever join a club that is fully about what you do not believe. Since you are clearly not going to work with us and your vibe is working very against us I must ask you to leave. Please come to my office tomorrow morning so we can discuss your further Divination courses." Which will most likely be none. She was a seventh year and if she truly didn't want to be there to learn and wasn't going to have an open mind then she should just take the rest of term away and drop the class. It was an elective after all she didn't have to be there.

Coming back to her chair she sat down and looked around the table joining hands once more. "Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us.Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us.Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us. Grandpa Morgan if you can hear me, please join us." Her tone was still very serious and her breathing relaxing her as she moved back into focus on the chanting.

Angel decided the best thing to do was concentrate really hard. She wanted to show the ghost that she wasn't scary or frightening.

Angel chanted as she stayed as calm as she could... come on ghost visit us. Angel really wanted to know more about this ghost and why it had the same name as the Professor. Angel continued to stay as still and calm as she could.

Uhhhh..................... it wasn't him, was it? Like, interrupting the flow of things? 0____0 He didn't want to do that, he wanted to SEEEE things. Though, when Lex fessed up to not realllllyyy being in it, he settled a bit. He was fine. Yep. Fine. He continued to chant along with Professor Cassie when she continued though. His eyes wide open, and his voice gaining confidence.

The candles flickered once more and the room became colder.

Even with a few nonbelievers in the room it seemed something or someone had reentered.

Ian had been busy focusing his attention on chanting and at the center of the table. He shivered as the chill returned and his heart rate increased with the candles flickering. Ooh....very exciting Ian thought before refocusing. As he continued to observe the center of the table, he noticed it started to look fuzzy. Whaa!?! Was it really happening? Ian had to work hard to stay focused. He really, really wanted to reach across the table to and see if the mist was real, but he was afraid if he did that the mist would disappear and it would be his fault. Prof. Cassie had told him the mist in the ball meant he was close...maybe this mist meant that they were close. Please, please let this work Ian thought to himself. He chanted three more times Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us. Henry William Morgan, be guided by the lights of this world and visit upon us.
