Usually in the Room of Serenity, SNAC members might have noticed that they were headed to their Divination Classroom for this particular meeting. As they come through the trap door the first thing they notice is a change again to the room's decor.

The room is very dark with a big circular table in the center. There is enough chair for members. The room is lit by a candle chandler hanging above the table. The typical quiet relaxing music and the sent of incenses fills the room.

Professor Cassie is sitting quietly in one of the chairs at the table. She looks very relaxed as if she might have been meditating before the meeting was to start.

Ian opened his eyes as he heard the professor begin to speak. He had heard other students come in and looked around. He saw people he normally saw in classes (none of which would talk to him anymore) but he was excited to being something new.

When the professor asked about necromancy, he nodded in agreement with the other students. He hadn't been exposed to much dark magic (other than in DADA) so his experience and knowledge was extremely limited. Necromancy seemed a very dark matter for such a cheerful witch but he wasn't going to judge. He looked around the room to see reactions from other students. Were they as excited as he was?

Cinna waited for the meeting to start and watched as more people kept coming in. She waved at Zander when he arrived. And tried to get his attention later to come over and sit with her but it was no use he headed over to other side of the room. She's was really going to have to work on Zander's and Lux's friendship. It wasn't cool when friends didn't talk. Nope not at all.

She'd try after the meeting because it was starting now. Yay! She beamed something advanced. Yep they would really need all the positive energy they could get. So bye bye haters. The fourth year closed her eyes and channeled her accomplishments of the day into positive happy things. They were already happy things. Saying to herself You are great at what you do. You are great at what you do and she was confident of that.

Necromancy? Wow Professor Cassie that was some pretty deep stuff. It sure was. She raised her hand "Communicating with the dead to predict the future." Something along those lines. She didn't want to sound repetitive with others answers.

SNAC.

What a neat little acronym for a club, and Beauty simply couldn't resist the urge to come by. It meant information and information meant knowledge. Oh, how she loved to learn.

Hair tied back in a ponytail and a cheery smile on her face, she entered the room. Oh. Neat. It reminded her of her cozy little home.

"Good day," she greeted as she passed by. "Lovely day, isn't it?"

Angel looked at the Professor and raised her hand... did she have to do that in the meeting? Well anyway she just had so no hard was done. "Professor isn't that where you can use divination to communicate with the dead?" Angel asked. "Like in some places they have a church where you go and listen to someone communicating with the dead." Angel wasn't sure how much she liked that idea.

Really, it didn't take long for Toby to drum up positive energy for this meeting; he was, as usual, filled to the brim with it. Positive energy AND actual energy. The usual.

He listened to the question, but decided not to answer. Too negative, 'cause it was about... what everyone was saying about. Which meant that the entire meeting might touch upon the subject, of course... but he'd give it a chance and just wait it out and focus on bringing positive energy to the room. He was good at that. Fidgetfidget.

Of course Nessarose Glendower was present for the latest SNAC meeting. She was a member of SNAC after all - or a SNACinator, like the cute little name Cassie had come up with. She did not make a big production of entering the classroom as she might have normally done with cheerful waves and hellos, because she knew what today's topic was and she knew the concentration needed. So she had simply snuck in through the darkness and seated herself off to the side, vaguely noticing a few of her own star pupils nearby.

She was currently meditating, trying to get in the zone, and listening to Cassie start the meeting when she heard some words from.. well, she couldn't quite tell in the darkness (but it was Cutty). "Shhhh," she put her finger to her lips as she leaned closer to the boys and shushed away the negative words, her cheery expression still on her face though it might not have been so visible given the dim lightness. "Remember to keep a positive energy while you meditate." That was necessary especially for this, wasn't it? And that did not include naughty words and insults! Surely Cassie would agree..

Nessa looked up as her friend asked a question about Necromancy. Sure she knew what it was, but she'd let the students answer anyway, it was mostly for their benefit.. and they seemed to answer correctly too.

Jasmine saw Adi arrive and send a smile her way. She waved back quietly, not wanting to break the mood in he room.

Then Bay entered the room and came over to speak to Jasmine. "Hi Bay. I'm very excited. I can't wait to see what Professor Cassie has planned for us today." She was glad to see her friend and smiled at his high level of enthusiasm.

Then it was time for class to begin. It was strange to see Professor Cassie in such a mellow mood. That made Jasmine more curious about what they would be doing. She got a partial answer and it would be something very advanced. When they were given their instructions about the alternative to snaps, Jasmine closed her eyes and tried to think positive and happy thoughts. At the same time, she tried to get her concentration and focus in order.

Then came the question about Necromancy. Jasmine knew a little about it and so it seemed did everyone else. Trying to think of something to add to the answers that had already been given, she raised her hand. "Necromancy can also involve communicating with the dead to discover hidden information." Is this what they would be doing today?

...... Was it just him or were people acting really strange today? ... Especially that Slytherin girl, she never seemed that cheerful. It was like all the dark walls took her energy and replaced it with Professor Morgan's. Like what. Either way, sitting away from all his friends wasn't fun. Not at all. It was like first year all over again, without anyone to talk to or any friends. Well, he had friends, but they all had their preferences.

Anyways.

Necromancy.

It looked like everyone had already covered what it meant, so instead of saying anything he just nodded at the other answers. Though he was pretty sure that Caleb Newell did have a sister, so that was odd.

Necromancy?

He walked into the class and the first thing he heard was NECROMANCY?! Seriously? What in the name of Merlin?

Weirded out looks were what Grayson was currently wearing on his face as he walked over towards an empty seat and sat down. Because it WAS weird. Necromancy. Were they bringing up dead people or what? Channelling them? Asking them questions? If so, Grayson REFUSED to be haunted for the rest of his life by some ghost that was out to seek revenge or whatever.

You know what? He was gonna offer his thoughts. "What if the dead wants to be left alone?" Had nobody thought about THAT?! This was exactly why people in horror movies died: because they were so stupid and CARELESS. "And sorry for being late, Professor." He had no reason as to WHY he was late, actually. Nothing aside from pure, professional laziness.

And 'sup Glendower, we see you too.

Yeah. So. Dead people. The doing your bidding part sounded....... interesting. Uh huh.

More people were arriving, and Kace and Cinna got friendly waves. Now she was sitting beside both her boyfriend and her bestie. Zander wasn't having any of her though; but what was new there. He avoided her like the plague ever since the train. At this point it should be obvious that Bentley wasn't coming back, so why was he still stubbornly hating her?

What a weird boy.

But on to other things. SNAC things. No surprise when positive energy was asked for, so goodbye thoughts of Zander and hello positive energy. Smiling, she listened to the question and wondered why Professor Cassie was asking about something so creepy. There was no point in answering with what everyone else had said, but she had to agree with Grayson. Leave the dead alone and buried.

Cassie sat in her chair still very relaxed, her usual bouncy self played fully down with her meditation she had been doing. She watched as the group thought about their moments and then start answering. Hearing Nessa shush a student a smile formed, her best friend and fellow professor knew the importance of staying focused. She had sat in on a few of these sessions before.

None of them were dark wizards now were they.

"Some places do that is correct, some such as muggles go to psychic's to try to communicate with their love ones that are not here anymore. Most what we know is the real fact that it is divination."

"That is very good, many people don't realize that. People use necromancy to find out things that just can not be found out. If the death is a mystery one could use necromancy to figure out what really happened. Some things in our past could just not make sense and this is a way to try and make sense of it." The professor herself used necromancy for this reason once.

She wasn't caring about him being late as long as he just sat down and focused like he did. "Some do and those are ones that we never hear from. Just because we are trying to contact one doesn't mean it's going to happen. If a spirit doesn't want found you aren't going to find it. So people that say mean ones come are correct, but it is not because people did this and they did not want to come." There were just grumpy spirits just like people.

Looking around the room at all the faces she set the book she was holding back down on the floor. "As all of you have discussed Necromancy is a way to communicate with the dead. It is a practice that helps us find out things in the past as well as predict the future. As some of you also have mentioned a darker form of the practice is to actually raise the dead. Now as you can see I have no dead bodies in this room, so we will not be doing this form. Darker Wizards have used this to do their bidding and in my eyes it is very wrong." She gave a stern look at a few (Caleb) that might have thought otherwise.

"Now that we have discussed what it is, how do you think we get a spirit to come? What process do you think we do?" She was interested in what they thought were the steps in getting a spirit to visit.

But moving on. Serious matters to be discussed. Of course, all this talk of the DEAD and DARK ARTS was pretty fascinating, and he couldn't help but be swept away with thoughts of it... and posibilities. He knew this wasn't a class, per se, but he still raised his hand. He had questions, and questions needed answers. "Professor... is that what an Inferi is?" All of this getting a dead body to do their bidding.. it was one of those, wasn't it?

But the Professor's question was just as interesting, and he felt he knew the answer to this. "A wee-gee board? I know muggles use those to talk to the dead, they spell out words and stuff by moving a thing on a board that everyone is touching." Yeah. Yeah. THAT. Did she know it? Is that what they were doing today?

Kace was again dazing out. Something about the perfumes in the divinations rooms made him do this. But he heard the topic at least. They were talking about necromancy? Hmm so it dealt with communicating with the dead. He knew about that. It was quite creepy which the little first year mentioned and some dark wizards used dead people to do their bidding *shudders* It was just creepy to think about. But onto the next question at hand. How do they communicate with the dead. He heard the little firsties idea and thought there was another way.

Kace raised his hand and said, "Professor I think the Ouija board can be one option.." he motioned toward the little guy. "But I think the spirits come to us if we have something that was theirs. Like if you had a diary, I am sure they could come back to earth since they have an connection." That was the best he could do. But it seemed logical to him. He didn't know the process but he knew one way that could work.

WHO did this woman think she was?! SHUSHING him? Couldn't she see that not everyone was a loon, trying to MEDITATE and instead learn about the dark arts here? It was nothing that Rumple didn't know, of course, but he wanted a refresher on it. Using the dark to summon spirits wasn't something he'd anticipated doing when he first got here, but now it seemed better than his other plan...which was to just lay in wait, spinning straw into gold.

"YOU shush!" Rumplestiltskin snapped. Silly woman. There must have been a reason that she wasn't leading THIS lesson, that was for sure...

Why was she staring at him? Geez, people were treating him like he was some sort of nutter, instead of bowing down to him! He was THE DARK ONE! Why was no one showing him the respect he deserved? How frustrating. Perhaps they simply hadn't realized who was in their presence. After all, he hadn't been spinning the straw to gold yet - they simply hadn't seen his power! Once he did that, he'd be golden. No pun intended. Hehe.

HOW did they summon the spirits? That was an easy one! "You call on the power of The Dark One, of course. You can do ANYTHING with that," he said, raising an eyebrow as if to say 'I could easily get rid of all of you in one second with that power' so they would all FEAR HIM!

Necromancy was it?

It might not have been too similar to what she'd been researching of late but it could closely compare so the Gryffindor sat forward in her seat willing to listen until things stopped sounding sensible. Naturally she knew nothing about the art and as was her custom she remained silent after the question had been asked but Professor Smiles must have been used to it by now, just as she was used to Professor Glendower always turning up for stuff Professor Smiles had. It was just a thing, you know?

Vaguely she was aware of Caleb saying he didn't have a sister and this only proved what she thought; the two had had a spat at some point and were on to disowning each other. None of her concern at all so she'd wait for someone to mention something about the dead.

If she could help it, she would be leaving the castle with Sir Nicholas at the end of the year.

Jasmine wasn't sure how she felt about the idea of Necromancy, but she really didn't have much choice. It was the topic of the day, whether she liked it or not.

Jasmine wasn't sure of the answer to Professor Cassie's next question, but she did have something to share. She raised her hand and begin to explain. In the muggle world they would have a seance to contact someone who had passed on. That usually involves psychics that probably aren't authentic at all." the wizarding world, however, was a totally different story.

"i'll have to talk with him.. see if anythings going on" he thought as he nodded towards Jasmine as she spoke..bescause now the class was starting and he didn't want to be rude..

WHAT… WAIT… Necromancy … dead people, Bay suddenly had a flash back to the forbidden forest and he started to sweat, they weren't going to bring anything this way right… and oh of course they want to know the steps, putting down his head he waited for the answers and the craziness to stop in his head.. he still hasn't gone to see the healer yet about his nightmares. "please, please…please" he kept thinking and he hoped he didn't mess with the calmness of the room because inside of his head he was freaking out. yeah a seventh year was getting totally scared.

Creepy, creepy. Adi had heard of this being done back in the muggle world but he had always thought it to be a hoax. He was never open minded towards stuff like these. Yet somehow he found himself fascinated by this (and also creeped out slightly).

But he had no idea how to call on a spirit. So he just said whatever came to his head. "We meditate and just call on them?'' he suggested, raising a hand.

for some reason the sudden arm around him kind of caused him to yelp a little bit but as soon as he noticed it was Lux he kept his voice down low so that he didn't interrupt the class. "nothing.. I'm alright" he lied and tried to give her the best fake smile he could, he still hasn't told her about the nightmares and he didn't want to scare her… plus he felt like if he told her how scared he was that it would make him less of a man… manly pride was the reason for keeping this big secret from her and hopefully one day if he told her that she would understand.

Ian listened as the professor went on to explain not only the correctness of some answers, but also that she was intending to work with them on it, but no raising of the dead. He was grateful of that.

With her questions, Ian listened to the responses given, but added just a bit more. Professor, like the others had said, I believe it involves meditation. You've also told us to think very positive thoughts. I would think that we draw them to us with our positive thoughts and desires.

Dead people they wasn't actually going to see actual dead people right? She needed tea. Really bad right now. "Professor, Maybe I have some tea?" Glancing over at and overhearing Lux and Bay she noticed something was wrong. "Actually Can I make it two?"

Everyone had already said what she was thinking the answer was. So WHY NOT ask Professor Cassie a question. Talking to the dead was stressing her out. And she hadn't even spoken with them yet. So yes, tea was needed.

The people that said ouija board were on to something. That was used by muggles, but she wasn't sure if it actually worked. Her sister's answer was creepy, and AJ shot her a look. There was no way that AJ's body would be used as a host. Freaky.

Besides all that, she figured the next thing that made the most sense was clearing your mind. AJ raised her hand. "We have to empty our mind of everything, and focus on who we are trying to call. I think it works better with more people. You all chant together." And hold hands while your eyes are close. She had seen movies, okay!

LOL. Evil spirits were so freaking rude.

But this piece of information eased Grayson slightly and he even found himself sitting back a little, feeling a bit more comfortable. Dude was baffled as to how Necromancy could predict the future but that wasn't something he was going to mention. Did the spirits know something about the future that they didn't? Or was this more of the history repeats itself nonsense?

Maybe this was why Glendower was here.

ANYWAYS. The topic moved on to how and, after nearly half a minute or so, Grayson offered up an answer. "I agree with clearing your mind of anything but the question and the person you want to call. You want to build up a connection of sorts otherwise it won't work." His thoughts on the subject; thoughts that had been gathered thanks to horror movies.
