Comfortable clothes? Check. Open mind? Well... that wasn't always as easy as it sounded, but Sophie was in a good enough state of mind today that she figured whatever that suggestion was for would work out just fine.

Upon entering the Divination classroom, Soph squinted at the general darkness of the room the moment she lifted the trap door. The room was less soothing than it had been during class time - it seemed more eerie than calming now, even with the incense burning and soft music playing - and she considered, only briefly, skipping out on the meeting today. Just because she was concerned they would be doing something super weird or she'd fall asleep with the creepy low lighting going on.

"Good evening, professor," Sophie greeted gently, already adjusting to the classroom's quiet ambiance as she took a seat at the table a few chairs away from the woman. What would they be doing today, hm?

Ian headed over to the SNAC club meeting. He had been so busy trying to keep up with schoolwork and warmth last term he'd missed the meetings. He came into the divination room and saw the professor looking rather relaxed. He didn't want to disturb her so he just took a seat, closed his eyes and relished a but of silence. He began to reflect on recent events and formulated the beginnings of a plan.

Jasmine arrived for the SNAC meeting and the first thing that struck her was how dark it was. A little mood lighting perhaps? It seemed that she was the second student to arrive. "Hello Professor Cassie", Jasmine said softly. She looked so peaceful that Jasmine didn't want to disturb the moment. "Hi Sophie", she said to her housemate.

Walking over to the round table, Jasmine pulled out a chair and sat down. Setting her bag down, she sat back in the chair and tried to relax before class started. She was looking forward to the meeting and hopefully it wouldn't be too long before the others arrived.

SNAC meetings meant cookies and hot cocoa. At least it did last year, and AJ was hopeful that the little tradition would carry on to this year as well. The second year made her way into where the meeting was held, and noticed the nice and calming atmosphere. Where were the treats?

Was the professor asleep? AJ leaned in and whispered Hello, professor," Didn't want to startle her in case she was having a vision or a moment. Whatever it was that she had.

There were only a few students here, one of them being Ian. AJ made took a seat as far as she could away from him. Where was the gang at? She was missing Angel, Adi and Benny.

Toby was in nowhere NEAR the relaxed state of mind he'd been in during the last class, and he was sliiiiiiiightly concerned that this would create problems because Divination was usually about being relaxed, but he was HERE. RIGHT HERE. HI.

Woah boy. It was dark in here. Toby squinted around, letting his eyes adjust to the sudden darkness so that he could SEE where he was supposed to sit. Okay. Right. Big table. He could do that.

As Toby parked himself in one of the seats, he couldn't help but notice that this was the kind of atmosphere absolutely not suited to his current state of mind. His hands were already fiddling with his shirt buttons and he quickly stopped that, attempting to transfer his energies to his jiggling feet. Hopefully he wasn't disturbing anyone's relaxation or whatever, but he was trying to be all chill. He was.

Oh wait, had he said hello? Toby couldn't remember. He looked up at the professor and smiled widely and gave a little wave. Hi. Hey. Sup.

Adi didn't understand it at first. All of a sudden he was SUPER EXCITED for this SNAC Meeting. Meh. He didn't question this feeling much. Divination was becoming one of those subjects he enjoyed.

He entered the room to the very much familiar scent of incense. Honestly...didn't he get enough of that at home? Anyway...the room itself looked different. Adi took the changes in and also noticing Professor Cassie. She looked...occupied. Best not disturb her.

The Puffer spotted AJ already seated as well as Tobias and Jasmine. He grinned at the latter before taking a seat in one of the chairs next to AJ. "Hi,'' he said.

SNAC Club......... sounded super hard. It WAS hard. Professor Cassie had said so herself... what with it being all ADVANCED and stuff. But, she'd invited him, and apparently thought he had some kind of divine qualities - hehehehe - or else she'd not have praised him like she had. Still, he wasn't entirely comfortable with attending, but since he talked her into having cake, he could hardly say no.

If it turned out to be TOO hard, then he just wouldn't come again. Simple as that. He wasn't crazy, he wasn't going to fry his brain over something he probably wouldn't need to use once he left Hogwarts.

Dressed in his casual best - dark jeans, black with white trim sneakers, and grey shirt beneath a zip-up black cardigan - Zeke entered through the trap door. He decided he liked trap doors, they were kinda neat.

There were funny smells in the room again, and his nose tingled from them... and the music... well he wasn't a fan, but it WAS kinda relaxing, and he supposed that was important for divination.

"Hi Professor Cassie," he greeted her first, being the boss of the room and all... "hi errr--- everyone... hi AJ." He took a seat at the table near her. Only, a puffer was in between them. Boo. "Hi."

Bay arrived at the meeting excited to get things started, as soon as he entered he spotted Jasmine so he headed over to his friend "hey Jasmine, first SNAC meeting of the year are you excited as I am? " he loved these meetings he always had fun in them.

One day she would rationalize her lack of need to turn up to these meetings but as such rationalizing hadn't happened yet, the Gryffindor still turned up when they happened. Lex had been a member of SNAC before Professor Smiles so there wasn't really much reason to discontinue that now, even if she didn't agree with half the things they did and didn't trust the beverages the woman always had prepared for them. You just never knew and with everyone telling her things she didn't remember, she wasn't willing to take any more chances.

Lex entered the dimly lit room, not bothering to question the decor or the fact it was up in the classroom. There was a chance this wouldn't be so bad...unless they were using those blasted crystal balls again...then...then she might have found rational to miss the next meeting.

"Good day, Professor." She might have put more into it if the woman didn't seem off in her own world but that was just as well and Alexa took a seat at the large table.

Ready for whatever this was.

It was time for another SNAC meeting, and Lux was excited. This should be fun! Entering the room, she spotted some of her friends as well as Bay. "Hey, everyone! Hello, Professor Cassie!" Smiling she went to sit by her boyfriend. "Hello, my Lion."

Samantha entered the room and smiled at everyone. This was her first SNAC meeting and she was excited. "Hello, Professor. Hello everyone!" Samantha said as she found herself a seat.

Kace decided to go and try out the SNAC meeting. He knew two of his buddies were already in the club and decided to give it a try. As he walked in he noticed Adi, Lux, Bay and others beat him to it. He smiled at them all and found his seat. He even noticed the Divination Professor was there and he waved and greeted her with, "Hello Professor!"

He took a seat next to his bro Bay and decided to catch up with his buddy. He hardly ever seen him anymore.

Cinna had fun in the SNAC meetings last term and technology she was still in the club from last term. So she decided come back this term. Mostly since most of her friends had said that they were coming too.

She walked into the room. Looking around she seen Bay, Lux and Kace. She smiled at them and seen Professor Cassie. She tried to keep a straight face looking at her "Hello, Professor Cassie." Big smile and a innocent tone. Even if she known it was her she didn't think she'd mind, Right?

She walked over and took at seat with her friends. "Hey guys." Before plopping down on the other side of Lux. She turned to Lux and grinned that grin that only besties give each other.

SNAC meeting. Woooot. Caleb was only here because of extra credit, which was basically his motivation for doing ANYTHING school related lately. Points and grades. That was all that really mattered once he got out of here, yeah?

So he headed to the meeting, trying to keep an open mind and hoping that whatever they did wasn't TOOOOO boring today. He smiled and sat down next to Kace, leaning back in his chair and smiling at the professor in greeting as well.

Ok, time to get this over with.

The Gryffindor walked into the room and-- wait a minute. Who turned off the lights? Well most of the lights... Most of the lights except for that big ol' creepy chandelier in the center of the room. What was going on and what happened to all the color Professor Morgan was so famous for. Not that he was complaining because he could deal with the dark and would much rather take that over all the pink frillies any day, but still it was so unlike her. Maybe she and Lex had caught the same cold.

Finally spotting her in a chair, he moved towards her and... Was she meditating? It'd be rude to interrupt right. Or not. So instead, he gave her a small smile and nod, then looked around for a spot.

Oh merlin.

First he caught sight of AJ and she was nice enough so making his way towards her he-- nope. Adi was there and the guy was great and all, but then he'd just be third wheeling and that would make him sad, so nope. Then he spotted BAY! Still hadn't had a chance to congratulate him on the badge, Cinna and Kace were right by him too and of course Lux! And wait a minute, Lux. Hmph. Suddenly narrowing his once excitement-filled eyes he turned in the opposite direction. Well... Where now? Sophie!But Toby was with her and...

So walking ALL THE WAY to the OTHER side of the table he took a seat. By no one.This was going to be a very long meeting.

Penelope was excited about the SNAC meeting. Last year, the SNAC meeting had not ended well for her, with the whomping willow hitting her, and her getting mild frostbite. She had ended up in the hospital wing, but there were not any major injuries, and Healer Tillstorm had been able to warm her up.

This SNAC meeting would be better than the one last year. Entering the dark room, Penelope noticed the round table and the chairs around it. She felt like she had seen the room with the round table and chairs before. The room looked almost exactly like the image she had seen in her crystal ball. Realizing that she was still standing in front of the door, Penelope walked over to the table. "Hello, professor,"[/b] she said softly, not wanting to disturb Professor Cassie. She found a spot to sit, close to the professor.

Another SNAC meeting. Alright. He was down. Professor Morgan and he, he thought, had an understanding of sorts. Or maybe it was the lack thereof that made the subject and the environment in which it was taught so comfortable for Cutty now. Also, that weird thing that Professor Flamsteed had said in their last Astronomy class. It was like he was condoning it. Almost backing it up, really.

The snake of fourteen hesitated not as he found a space by one, Caleb Newell. "Where in hell is yer ugly sister?" He asked casually of the other snake boy as though he were asking about the weather.

Angel was totally looking forwards to the SNAC meeting... she loved them and the Professor was amazing. "Hey Professor." Angel said as she entered though in some ways she doubted the Professor heard because she looked fast asleep did that mean she could take over the meeting? She had always wanted to try and learn how hard it would be.

Angel then spotted AJ and Adi sitting together. She then saw Samantha and a few other people and she gave them a smile before she went and sat on her own.

Cassie had been meditating most of the day. She hadn't done this sort of divination in awhile, but really wanted to show her more interested students how interesting divination could be. Knowing the meeting could end in a total flop she had taken extra time to be fully focused.

As the students started to come in she said quiet hello's and nods to each of them. This not being her usual style, but much needed for her focus. No snapping happened, but her cheery smile was still present on her face. Flicking her wand she let the candle glow brighten just a bit more to see everyone's face.

"Good evening everyone. I'm sooo glad you could join me today for our first SNAC meeting. I'd like to do something really fun tonight and show you all how much divination can do. We are going to be working with a very advance form, even more so than crystal balls, so it's going to take everyone's full concentration. Any doubters that just come for the laugh and snacks need to head back out." Her sweet smile still there, she wasn't trying to be rude, but she knew how much positive they needed.

"With the darkness we won't be doing our snap cup for the beginning, but please take a few moments to close your eyes and think of your accomplishments for the day. Bring out that positive energy and bring up your confidence that you are great in what you try your best at. This will help bring us all focus and the energy we need in the room."

After giving them a few moments of quiet letting everyone think about their proud moments and bring more positive energy into the room she picked up a book that was on the floor next to her. "Can anyone tell me about necromancy."

Samantha closed her eyes at Professor Morgan's request and thought about the fact that she was now a mentor. This was a huge and positive thing for Samantha to be doing and as she thought more and more, a grin appeared on her face.

When she felt positive, she heard the Divination teacher ask a question. Samantha raised her hand to answer. "Necromancy is communicating with the spirits of the deceased. Sometimes their bodies are raised to do the caster's bidding. The latter is usually done by those practising dark magic," Samantha replied.

He was... curious, to see what all would happen at a SNAC club meeting. Did they TALK about things? Debate? Practice? Did they talk about previous lessons?... because he still had questions about the previous lesson.

However, as Professor Cassie got started, it became evident that they wouldn't be reviewing previous lesson subjects. The term ADVANCED got him staring. HE was not advanced at anything yet... maybe this wouldn't be for him. But, he had to try it first, didn't he? And yes, he had asked for cake... but.... that was only because if he failed, he'd need a pick me up. Ahem. So he didn't move, even if he felt a little guilty regarding that thought.

He wasn't saddened by the lack of snap cupping... because he still thought it was a little odd, and a bit primary school-like. He was at HOGWARTS now, he was... he was a growing wizard! Still, he HAD accomplished things here. He'd done well in most of his lessons so far, and he had learned a number of useful spells too. But more specifically, he was proud that he had completed all his homework on time ... so far. That was an achievement for sure. In the muggle world, it was either VERY late, or it didn't get done at all. So this was progress. He hadn't realised, but he had his eyes open the whole time he was thinking, and so he quickly shut them in an effort to look meditative - despite feeling perfectly at ease.

When the time was up for self reflection, and the topic of necromancy was broached, Zeke raised his hand eagerly. "All I know is that Mr Kitridge thinks it's creepy." Heh, yeahhhh... so... WHAT was it? Was Sam right? Was it about talking to the dead????

Before long Adi came and sat by her, and he got a smile along with a "hello." The professor seemed to still be in deep concentration. Then, her sister joined the ranks, but she decided to sit off by herself. Why? The gang always sat together.

AJ wasn't just here for snacks, so that meant she didn't have to leave, right? Snacks would have been appreciated though. Food for thought. The professor seemed to still be in the zone so AJ kept her comments to herself. This necromancy Cassie was speaking of was beyond her. One girl did seem to know and AJ's eyes bulged a little at her answer. Dark magic? This lesson just got ten times more interesting. This was the first time the lion has heard about lifting dead bodies up.

Oh looky. The little Lion from Astronomy joined them. "Hello,'' Adi said giving him a smile. He couldn't say more however, due to the fact the Professor Cassie was not occupied anymore and had started to address the class.

More advanced stuff? Oh no... He would just have to focus as much as he could then. Crystal Ball reading had been hard enough. He thought of his accomplishments for the day. Er, he had gotten some homework done. Yep. That was an accomplishment to him considering that he had been feeling a bit on the lazy side today.

So...necromancy. "I think it's about communicating with the dead,'' the Puffer said raising a hand. Creepy much?

Oh look, there was a fellow snake house person! Rumplestitlskin had decided that he REALLY liked those snake people. THEY were the kind of people he needed on his side - always scheming and not afraid to run down people in their way. AND they could all do magic, just like him! He just needed to figure out a way to exploit them without them knowing what was going on, but that wouldn't be hard of course. He was Rumplestiltskin - he could do it!

But what this snake was talking about...he had NO idea. "Sister? I don't have a SISTER," he told him. Women were the worst - the last thing he wanted was to be related to one.

Now he was distracted by the woman in the front of the room, asking them about necromancy. Rumple had decided that pretending to be a student would be the best way to infiltrate this school and get information about everyone, so that when the time came for him to put his big straw-spinning operation into play, he'd know EVERYTHING about EVERYONE. That was the only way you'd be successful in this business! But now, he perked up in his seat. Necromancy? Of course Rumple knew what that was - and he was very skilled at it, too!

"Necromancy is, of course, the art of using the dead to predict the future. Or use them to do your bidding. I prefer the latter," he said with a smirk.
