The restricted section of the library is as the name implies restricted. In this roped off and locked section you will find old fragile books and tomes. Some of the texts are dark and dangerous and therefore cannot be kept where just anyone can get a hold of them. Should you need to access to this area to retrieve a book, you need to seek out the librarian; Mr Kitridge with a signed permission slip from a professor. This will allow you to obtain the book you need.
Do not enter the restricted section without permission . It is not advisable and any students found in the restricted section without permission will be punished. Mr Kitridge is happy to help but some books are just dangerous and too dark.

Woah!
It had worked!
And there were bright light and more goldy stuff as well. The giggles were all gone... So did this mean that it was gone FOREVER? Adi overheard the Headmistress suggesting it be tied up using runes. Yeah, that would be awesome if they could do that. Goodbye, crazy book.
There was a strange warm and fuzzy feeling fluttering in her chest...
...odd.
She felt like smiling and high-five someone...NAAAAH. Who was she kidding, happy endings were anything but that. Something always happened to change that, but it appeared like this did indeed end in a happy note.
At least, she waited and waited and waited for something to happen. Chocolate frogs? Pixies? Dancing magic carpets? No, no and no. The gold sparkles seemed to seal the deal. Beverly wasn't tucking her wand away just yet, though, but she was letting herself breath a bit.

Its job here finally done, the book did one last giddy wiggle and sigh of content.
Then, in a brilliant flash of golden light and sparkle, the book closed. Light spilled out from the pages and basked the entire Restricted Section in its warmth. Gold sparkles seemingly erupted out of the filigree on the cover and showered down upon one and all
And then.....there was nothing but silence and stillness.
The End.
Er.... What was happening? The book was giggling madly and the pages were turning at high speed. Then suddenly her eyes were blinded and despite herself, she flung her arm up in front of her eyes. She wouldn't have known if the book was shooting something at her that she needed a spell for anyhow. She did manage to hear a THUNK as if the book had closed its own cover. Suddenly she was being showered in golden.. golden something and a warmth spread through her body right down to her toes. A contented feeling seemed to come with it, curiously enough.
But what really shocked her was the complete and sudden lack of chaos. Nothing stirred, and the offshoots from the book had vanished.

So naturally, she was on her guard. "Leobald," the Headmistress whispered, slowly lowering her wand and tearing her eyes away from the beautiful book, "I think you should tie it up. Abraham, is there some kind of binding runic...spell thing we can do to it?" She wanted to be SURE SURE this was the end.
However, logic was always her rock in such cases as these. And right now, she was with Anastasia: it seemed too easy. Hearing her instructions to Leobald and Abraham, she swiftly walked over to the book. "Students, please step away from the table. Miss Cambridge, you too, please." She motioned with her arms for them to comply.

The pages of the book kept flipping backwards until...it was over. Did this mean the book was done for good? That it wouldn't bother them anymore? Lux sure hoped so because she was beyond tired of seeing everyone as fairytale characters.
The question of binding the book with Runes was raised, and Lux immediately backed away at Professor Tanner's instruction. Maybe it was the logical solution; things did seem a little TOO easy.

She had been saying the words with everyone else and snapping from all the excitement. It was just soooooo fun! Look at all of them working all together and then the book closed, EEEEPPP! How fun was this! Though she did hold her breath for a moment when the book closed, because if it was going to take down the villains she was sure to go down for being possessed as well, but she wasn't and it was all over! Though the singing flowers were gone, that was disappointing.
"Bravo... Bravo, this was super fun!" She snapped with excitement still, but it was time to celebrate, the book had closed and that meant no more possessing. At least she hoped that's what it meant. Looking to Leo, she figured he'd know what to do next with the book and it seemed Annie felt the same.

Sunglasses. That was what she needed right now, because the light the book was shooting out was far too bright. Then again, maybe not since the light seemed to disappear as soon as it had appeared. And was that glitter she was covered in? Not that that bothered her any, since glitter didn't really hurt anyone and she didn't really notice it much anyway. Her attention was drawn to something else. The fact that those words had actually seemed to spell the end of the book (heh). Truly. It was just laying there all shut and everything.
Though, just in case, Heather still followed Professor Tanner's instructions to back away from the table. Did not want to be in the way if the book decided to go on one last possession spree.

The astronomer was still doing his subtle interpretive dance and chanting when the book closed. Once it had, he had quickly shifted into a lively interpretation of Queen's "We Are the Champions" when the book did....whatever it was it had just done.
"We are the champioooons....of the wo---" GAGGING. SPARKLES DOWN THE THROAT. COUGHING. MILD CHOKING. COUGHING. SPITTING OUT GLITTER. HACK HACK HACK HACK.
As he stood there literally picking bits of sparkle off his tongue, there were a few thoughts that crossed the man's mind. One being what in the name of Orion's belt had just happened?
The other being....WHY? WHY SPARKLES?!
Trying to mentally pass it off as pixie dust, because doing so apparently made this easier to handle, he couldn't help be go back to the glitter bomb fiasco that had been Javy and Pierson's pathetic attempt at pranking him. And the inappropriate behavior he had witnessed immediately following. And the fact that Mr. Odessa had been there as well. And then having a student triumphantly showing him the article that had been published in that bloody gossip magazine after, causing him to relive the embarrassment and horror of having glitter in places he didn't even know possible.
And now? NOW he had magical fairy book gold sparkles in places he didn't know possible.
"Well...that was....interesting. Well done everyone," he said while spitting out the last of the sparkle. Perhaps with the tiniest bit of sarcasm. Sparkles. UGH.
NOT LIVING HAPPILY EVER AFTER RIGHT NOW!
Muttering and grumbling to himself as he attempted to pick some of it out of his ears, he turned his attention towards the Headmistress and his colleagues as they began deciding the next course of action. And, since he wasn't a student, he was going to move closer to the book. Only not really. He was just going to stay where he was and continue to pick glitter out of his ears in an incredibly uncivilized manner.
"Miss Cambridge, Miss Wayne, Mr. Rehman, Miss Guidry, why don't you escort your housemates back to the dorms," he instructed, eyes still on the book and half expecting it to shoot more sparkles everywhere just to spite him. "Keep an eye out for anything....fairy tale-esque." Because he, like his colleagues and he suspected students as well, did not entirely trust the book to be completely dormant just yet.

In an instance somehow the book was able to completely blind every single human being. The restricted section of the library was a huge blob of gold light and it was tremendously bright. "Merlin's Beard that is so bright." Jordan shouted holding his eyes together as if he had just stared into the sun.
Nevertheless, the business of the book was finished. No more strange pixies, chocolate frogs trying to eat you and no more life or death situations... at least for now. "Well I'm certainly glad that's over with." Jordan said relieved that there was no more evil book, and best of all, they didn't have to burn the book which the book club members greatly appreciate. "I guess this means the hunt for the book is over then, huh?"
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
As he had been one of the people who had been closer to the book, the bright light hit his already sensitive eyes more and the Gryffindor had to use his hand to shield his eyes. A strange feeling of happiness that wasn't his own washed over him and as he pulled away his hand he realised he had been covered with golden sparkles. Making a face, Kevin dusted some off his shoulders and then turned to look at his Head of House as he instructed the Prefects to escourt them out.
"I don't NEED someone to bring me back" he said out loud and pocketed his wand back in its wrist holster. "Especially not HER as you know...she threatened to take off my head for no reason" He gave another glare in the direction of Lex and then walked towards the front library to get out of here while covered in sparkles and trying to get the braids out of his hair.

She didn't see the point in stepping away from the book now that it had seemed to meet its end but then...this was Hogwarts where the unexpected was the norm. Truth be told she still expected one last hoorah! from the book which probably meant it was done. Kinda like reverse psychology or something of the sort. Still, she'd humour Professor Tanner by taking a step back as her name had been specifically mentioned.
The glitter and sparkles though, that wasn't appreciated on any level and it had her taking even another step back with a cough and a wrinkle of her nose. This was like letting Abbi into her dorm all over again. Merlin.
And then Airey went and did that and the scowl reappeared on the Gryffindor's face, much like the disgruntled look on Kevin's. It might have escaped the Professor's notice and maybe everyone else's too but she wasn't a babysitter and had no future in that little vocation of sorts. If someone was told to go back to their dorm and got killed before they got there then they obviously weren't doing it right. A cheap deal letting the 4th year Prefect lead the Puffers back to their Common Room too. He still had a lot to learn and wouldn't stand a proper chance if something happened.
"He's right Professor. I did promise to take his head off." Because see, he used 'threat' again and that needed correcting. Didn't matter though because he'd walked out which meant she wouldn't need to go back with him. "For anyone that actually wants to walk with me, let's go." She wouldn't force anyone. It wasn't that serious. It was like...being sent to her room. Always. That was always it, especially when it came to that one Groundskeeper. Only difference now was she had company...if you could call it that.

Adi continued to stare down at the book, eyeing it suspiciously. He did not for one moment trust it. The book was pure eviiiiiil! Okay, maybe not evil but you got what the Puffer was trying to say.
He did step away from the table, however, when Professor Tanner instructed them to step away from the table, he took a step or two back. Just as Professor Flamsteed engaged in a coughing fit. O__O "Er, you okay now, Professor?" Adi asked after the man had calmed down.
Ah. The studensies were being dismissed. Seems like the Professors and Headmistress would take care of the rest. "Okay, Puffers,'' the fourth year said cheerfully. "Let's leave the Professors to finish up.'' Also, yes, they'd be on the lookout for more fairy tale stuff.

The fourth year waited rather expectantly, while keeping his eyes on the book. And before he knew it, there was an overwhelming bright light and Zander found himself squinting, before deciding to shield his eyes all together.
He only opened them once again, when he felt some weird sort of dust or something landing all over his head... And face... And body for that matter. Yeah, okay Tanner no need to tell him twice. Zander was backing away from the book alright. And it's... Glittery?? mess.
So that was it then? That was all it took. Three simple words and the big Fairytale epidemic was solved. Did no one else see how weird that was? Three words? And just like that... Poof went all the problems? Merlin. If only Arithmancy problems could be solved like that. Zander would have a field day.
Right. Okay. Anyways, turning back towards Kevin back in time to see the reaction the third year had to what Professor Flamsteed said and geeeeez. He could practically FEEL the animosity between the boy and the Headgirl. And it was kind of hard to feel anything at this point other than that weird warmth and bits of glitter. But nope, he felt that one. Watching as Kevin turned on his heals, the fourth year did the same and sped over to catch up with him, giving Professor Flamsteed a knowing 'don't worry' kind of nod in the process.

They had to leave?
That was no fun because Lux wanted to see Professor Botros bind the book with Runes. Oh well, from the sounds of it he would need a few days regardless. The excitement was officially over with and fingers crossed there would be no more fairytale characters hanging out around the castle.
Taking her cue from Adi, Lux made her way from the library.

Leo pulled his eyes away from the fascinating book to look over at Annie. Nodding he whispered back. "I'll get right on it." There was no time to waste. He didn’t himself trust that the book had really become dormant again before it was tied up and in extension removed from the school grounds.
With the use of his wand Leo conjured up a long belt adorned with numerous locks, chains and other gadgets to keep the book bound. Stepping up to the table he started to tie up the book without haste. When he was done he used his wand to put an extra set of precautionary spells on the book. Just to be safe! Turning to Botros he nodded. "Of course, I'll keep the book safe here in the library until you’re ready to perform the runic ward." It was the least he could do.
Turning to Annie he asked "Will you contact the ministry to arrange for the book's removal from the school premises?" It was best if the book was investigated by experts.

Cassie was just watching now as everyone talked and started to head out. Then Leo got closer to the book and her eyes widened fearing that it might jump open again. She still had her wand and held it just in case, but he seemed to have gotten it. She breathed a bit easier knowing he was safe and so was everyone else.
So where they done? What should they do?
She looked around and heard Botros, "You were just ah-mazing Professor Botros at the Runes stuff. Well done." She gave him snaps, it was such a great performance from all of them. "Leo does everything seem in order or do you need some help organizing." With all the flying carpets and pixies maybe things were out of place and she'd love to hang around and help if needed.

Annie was still half-mesmerized that it had worked! See what teamwork could do?! Maybe this school year WOULD have a happily ever after ending.
"Yes....." she looked up from eyeing the book. "Thank you, Flamsteed, for dismissing the students." She clapped her hands once. "That's it, everyone, we did it. We beat the book." Hopefully this wouldn't be a premature celebration now, but look, Kitridge was binding it and everything. "Back to your dorms. I'm sure some of you still have some studying for exams to do." And Book Club was really over for now.
Eyes landing back on the librarian and the runes professor, Anastasia gave them both a nod. "Yes, we'll arrange something with the Ministry... I'll owl them, but they might want you to bring it in, Leobald." The place was pretty busy to send someone just for a now-dormant book. Seemed a bit silly. "But thank you for your quick thinking."

The book closed.
After a whole serious of reaction it snapped shut and just sat there with a ray of light. And then poof! Gold sparkles to rain on them all. Ben waited for something more but there was nothing. Had they really done it? Was the trouble truly over? The Gryffindor was back at the mind set let where he wasn't much caring to think on what all had happened in the long run.
When the headmistress moved on, speaking the librarian and runes professor on what to do post drama, Benny's eyes passed to Adi and Angel, all three of them at opposite points in the restricted area. Wait...the restricted area?! A place he hadn't expected to be ever allowed in, at least until his final year here at Hogwarts. But his mind digressed and he focused back on what was going on around him.
The fourth year was plenty back away from the table so he hadn't had to move at Tyner's request. But then his head of house had spoken up to take charge. Right...returning to the common room on the look-out for remnants of trouble. Except trouble was already noticed in the form of Alexa and Kevin. This was going to be a fun trek upstairs, he mused to himself as he headed out after the other two lion boys. AND Alexa. He had no problem with the head girl.
Taking a step back as Professor Tanner advised, Beverly's gaze landed back on the adult bunch. Sooo...it was really over? Well, she wasn't counting her Ashwinder eggs before they hatched. Until she boarded the train and her feet touch King's Cross, then that's when she'll finally believe it.
ASLDFKJD!
Botros! LOOK at him. He was giving her a LOOK. One that reminded her of her daddy and....!!!!! Her cheeks flared up, the tip of her shoe scuffing the ground. Once again, though, she collected herself and shot him an affirmative nod.
Yes, he did tell her that and she had faith that he'd do it wonderfully.
It seemed like their work here was done, though. Another nod to Airey, she swirled on her shoes and turned toward the front of the library.
"Good luck, professors." On their mission and all. "Let's go, team." She'd seen a few snakes, go go go! Vamonos!
"Leo does everything seem in order or do you need some help organizing." With all the flying carpets and pixies maybe things were out of place and she'd love to hang around and help if needed.

With the book tied up and belted and the locks and spells in place Leo could finally stick his wand back in its holster and let his guard down. He knew though that he’d probably not sleep easy until the book was safely delivered to the ministry’s experts. Leo knew his limitations. This book needed to be examined and tested by someone who had more time and experience than him. Still standing next to the book Leo glanced over at Cassie as she spoke. Shrugging he said "If you really want to? Otherwise I'll just get most of it re-arranged before dinner and the rest the house elves will tidy up."
Eyes trailing over to Annie he nodded. "It’s no problem. I can deliver the book to the ministry. I just need to know who to deliver the book to." There was no way that Leo was going to go to the big ministry building not knowing which department to visit. Flashing a glance over at Abraham he asked. "Would you care to accompany in delivering the book to the ministry? The MoM people will probably be interested in your runic ward."
She looked around and heard Botros, "You were just ah-mazing Professor Botros at the Runes stuff. Well done." She gave him snaps, it was such a great performance from all of them. Oh shucks. Botros scratched his white-stubbled jaw nervously. "Thank you, dear. You did great yourself, thank you for your help." He meant what he said, the little woman was clearly stressed out about this book and when she was the Evil Queen but still, she managed to help.

Botros nodded. "I can go with to explain about the dormant runic spell, yes. No problem." Maybe he'd hold an educational seminar about the runic wards for the MoM employees even to let them be aware of what kind of enchantment they were dealing with! Definitely going to propose the idea to the department head they were entrusting the book with.
He turned to Annie, "If we're done and there's nothing else I can do, then excuse me, I have a date with my medication." He smiled, leaned on his cane heavily. Big day today, woo!
