This is the room next to the storeroom. It is smaller than the classroom. There are twenty working stations. Outside its door stands a rostrum with a notebook on it. You have to sign your name, the date and hour of your entrance before entering the laboratory.
This is a laboratory for students to practise their potions brewing. There is a cupboard that holds every equipment that might be needed during brewing: cauldron, pestle and mortar, wooden and metal sticks, phials, to name a few. Don't forget to borrow protective dragon hide gloves, robes and googles if you forgot to bring yours.
On the board, there writes the rules in a neat, big-sized writing:
Write your name, the date and hour of your entrance.
Clean your station before starting and after you've finished.
Don't forget to take the necessary precautions for your safety: Wear dragon hide gloves, protective robes and googles at all times. I am not responsible if you are injured here.
Do not test your potion on others or on yourself unless approved by me.
To brew a potion with me, you have to schedule it with me first. Otherwise, call me only in an emergency.
The class opens at 8.00 AM and will close at 9.00 PM. Please finish your potions until then or notify me first before starting a potion that will take longer than 13 hours to brew.
OOC: This is not a class. I will not hold classes here. This thread is for role-playing and fun, and will remain open all term long. You don't have to specify the exact date and hour. You just RP your character signing the notebook and start having fun!

"I'll place protective spells, don't worry," he said reassuringly while he noted down the time. They had come this far, he wouldn't let anyone spoil it. He got up, drew his wand and turned to her.
"So, say, meet here... 17,5 hours later?" She wouldn't miss the time, right?
"Well, technically, you've earned both," he said with a smile, and got up while she was collecting her stuff, "Of course. You can attend our sessions with Adi. That's as advanced as any potion can get."
He took a step towards the door. Not to be pushy or anything, but he was hungry.
Maddie returned to the lab 17.5 hours later, ready to work and anxious to see how the potion had turned out. It'd be done today, yes? She only had a few more steps to go before it was done.
Deciding to sanitize all the things she'd be using beforehand, the second year cleaned her hands and set to work. She'd need a scoop and a stirrer and her wand. She'd also need lacewing flies and a bit of hair and yeah, she was quite organized.
Noting she had some time to spare, she jotted down her progress in her notebook so she could reflect on it later. The color and texture of the potion was quite interesting but the brunette figured it'd be even more so when she added the hair.
Placing her bag over her shoulder, Lux followed Professor Culloden to the door. The thought of attending Adi's sessions was amazing so off course she would jump at the opportunity. "I will so be there." Watching others would be a great learning opportunity even if she'd be super eager to try it out herself right then and there.
Reaching into her pocket, Lux pulled out some Chocolate Frogs before handing half of them to him. She HAD said she would share some with him after brewing the potion. Time to eat. Chocolate Frogs in hand, she practically skipped out of the room.
Cosgrach laughed. "We'll be honoured." It was a good thing she and Adi got along well. Then...
OH! He had forgotten about THIS!
"Thank you, Lux!" he said as he tore the wrap. He was careful while handling the frog, and took a bite as he followed her out to lunch.

Cosgrach entered shortly after her and smiled at her brightly. "Hello, Maddie!" He was pleased to see she had cleaned her stuff and was taking down notes. He walked and towered over the cauldron.
"It looks alright to me," he said with a wide smile. "So, only two a few steps, then we let it stew for a month, and it's all yours!" Was she excited too? HEHEHE.

Maddie grinned. "Hello." She wasn't exactly a happy-go-lucky kid but given that Culloden was cool AND treated her like an adult, she found herself smiling more.
Once she was given the go ahead, the thirteen year old nodded in acknowledgement of what Professor C had said and got to work on completing the potion.
First up, the one last scoop of lacewing flies. "Thanks again for getting these ready ahead of time, Professor. They would've definitely set us back." She added the flies to the potion and set the scoop aside.
After cleaning her hands, she reached for the already clean stirrer and stuck it into the potion. Then it was three times around, anti-clockwise. Okay, then. "One..two..three."
Cleaning hands again, that happened. The stirrer too.
And now it was time for the hair. She produced a small vial and took the stopper out, letting the hair fall into her hand. She then let it fall into the potion. ... ... !!!! Nearly done! Ahem.
Last up, Maddie cleaned her hands once more and waaaved her wand to complete the potion. COMPLETE THE POTION. YES.
It was kind of crazy, being done. She was sure she was doing that ridiculous smiling thing so she bit down on her lip instead, resisting the urge she had to hug the man-of all things. Maddie DIDN'T initiate hugs with professors. Merlin.
"So we did it, Sir. Now it just has to stew." PAUSE. "For a month."
Cosgrach nodded and nodded and NODDED at everything she did. "So we did it." He grinned. "It can stew here again, if you want." He would take ALL the precautions again. "We can't know without trying, but it looks brewed well enough to last for...6-8 hours to me." SOunded good? Hehehe. He'd say perfect for a start. "You have my permission to use it at school. Just, don't try to enter other common rooms, please?" Needless to say, THAT would end in bad consequences. To show that he trusted her, he wouldn't even ask whose hair it was. "And that's it." Grin.

6-8 hours? That was BRILLIANT! LIKE, she could get a LOT accomplished in THAT amount of time as someone else, yeah? The brunette simply grinned at the thought, feeling QUITE accomplished and eager for the month to be up.
"It stewing here sounds perfect, Professor." She trusted him to make sure it was safe and surely he'd prevent others from being able to tamper with it. "Promise I won't go into another person's common room." He had her word on that. The second year started cleaning when he told her that was it, ignoring the small heart sinking feeling happening in her chest. What was THAT about? When she'd finished tidying up, she approached the man again.
"This was fun, Professor, and I don't throw that term around very often." She smirked and then slung her bag over her shoulder. "Potions is my favorite, by the way. Thought you should know. See you around, Sir." With that, the thirteen year old reached out and took the man's hand in her own to give it a proper shake. Then she let it go again and was off. She had planning to do, y'know.

Then his grin got even bigger.
"I'm glad you had fun," he said, and shook her hand. He was practically grinning from ear to ear. "I hope it stays that way." That it was her favourite. This was HIS success. Wait till Victoria heard about it.
"See ya, Maddie," he said, and walked out a short while after her.
