Jasmine was upset, very much so, but she knew that she had to pull it together and concentrate if she was going to salvage this potion. She had a lot of catching up to do. Thank goodness Professor Culloden was going to allow her to continue and hadn't vanished her potion. "Thank you very much Professor", she said gratefully. Jasmine wondered what effect her error would have on the finished potion. Would she now have a "Strongly Dislike" potion? Trying to retrieve her focus, she got back to work.



Jasmine decided that she should clean her gloves again which she did. Checking her notes, she then cleaned her grater and bowl. Jasmine went up to the Professor's desk and retrieved her ten cubes of ice. Returning to her cauldron, she added all ten ice cubes to her potion at once. While they melted, Jasmine turned her attention to the carrots. She separated five from the rest and began to grate them into the bowl. Peeking into the cauldron, she saw that the ice was almost melted. Once it was completely gone, Jasmine added her ungrated carrots to the potion. Then she picked up her bowl and grabbed the grated carrots, sprinkling them into the cauldron.

That step completed, Jasmine reached for the wormwood and knotgrass. She proceeded to tie the wormwood securely around the knotgrass and then added the bundle to her potion. Then Jasmine looked for the next steps. Checking for steam, she saw that her potion had some. Now the big question was, would it make her feel nauseous......or not. Jasmine leaned close to the cauldron and inhaled the steam. Waiting a moment, she started to feel a little bit funny. She was the teensiest bit dizzy and her stomach felt like she had eaten something that didn't agree with her. Did that qualify as nauseous? Jasmine didn't think that was exactly what she would be feeling if she hadn't messed up her potion, but she'd take it. She was probably feeling sick because she had botched her potion.

Next step. Picking up her wand, Jasmine said, "Scourgify". Then she proceeded to clean her wooden and metal sticks. Taking her wooden stick, Jasmine stirred her potion in a clockwise direction and counted. "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11." She then picked up the metal stick with one hand and added two crow feathers to the potion with the other hand. Dipping the metal stick into the potion, she gave it one clockwise stir. Then Jasmine repeated the process....feathers, stir.....until there were only two feathers left. She added the last two feathers......did not stir, then cleaned her dirty supplies and waited for further instructions.

Eden looked up at the professor again, FRIGHTENED. Right. Um. No. She was too far in to go back now--so she just cleared her throat and nodded. "I--My potion is fine--thanks, professor--" she hadn't messed up NOPE NOT HERE.

She would just have to do her best, now. There was steam from her potion, yes, and the color was looking like other's in here--but she felt NO nausea at all. Well. Time to see how well she could act. She held her nose a little and acted like--OH THIS IS GROSS--but in reality--nothing. She sighed inwardly. OKAY. Time to try to....remedy the potion, now. She shot Layla a quick look before continuing...

Time to COUNT correctly, too. Eden began to stir in the right direction--eleven whole times--saying the numbers aloud to herself, but low enough not to disturb others. She squinted up at the board again because it was hard to keep up with his talking. She set the metal rod down, and set it down before picking up the two feathers. After adding them, she watched the potion for a minute---okay...the smell might be a little stinky? Who knew. Maybe she was making it up to herself so that it seemed more...realistic? UGH. She picked up the metal stick again and began to stir in the opposite direction. This was a bit like cooking. It was just...soooo precise, and much hard than cooking, she supposed.

There were lots of feathers, man. Lots. So she just kept doing that--adding two, then stirring--until the plunked the last two into her brew and watched the steam rise. It did smell rather icky, now. Maybe her potion wasn't LONG gone. Not PERFECT, but not LONG gone, either.

Ok, after the wave of nausea had calmed down a bit, Caleb was ready to move on. He grabbed the wooden stick he needed to stir the potion and cleaned it, pointing his wand at it and muttered "Scourgify!" Alright, that was done. He stuck it in his potion and turned it clockwise once, twice...eleven times.

Now the tricky part - he had to CHANGE sticks and then start adding his ten crow feathers. He took the wooden rod out and then put the metal one, which had already been cleaned earlier, and plopped it in his potion before taking two feathers and dropping them in. He then stirred once clockwise, as instructed. Now the next two...and another stir clockwise. Another two...and another clockwise stir. Another two...another clockwise stir. Finally he added the last two, but did not stir the potion as instructed. He'd ALMOST done it, but caught himself before he touched the metal rod. He took out the metal rod and placed it aside.

BOOM! Caught up! He waited for the next bit of instruction, trying not to breathe in too much of the steam that was making him feel sick...

As Kace was waiting he actually was seeing the vapor come out of his cauldron. He smiled and knew he had done it well. He was even feeling slightly nauseous which he didn't like the feeling but hey that means his potion was done right the second time. He was soo happy to be almost done. He wondered when lunch time was going to happen? He was starving! But he was all caught up and he looked over at Caleb and realized he wasn't the only one trying to catch up either.

Actually, this was better. Not controlling the students that much, not seeing their failures, not trying to correct them - he felt light. And these were the last two steps. If a cauldron hadn't exploded until now, surely they can manage last two steps as well?

Well. Right. Yes.

He waved his wand at the wand and the last steps appeared.

"Now, add the spider. Then add one crocodile tooth, wait until the potion grumbles, then add the second. Clean your workspace, but leave your cauldrons here. It'll take the potion about three days to mature. For now it'll be bright red. When it turns your favourite colour, it's ready to be drunk. If bright red is your favourite colour, make a friend look at it, because the potion changes colours according to who's looking at it. I'll lock the classroom after you leave, so don't you worry." Was that clear enough? Hopefully. He waved his wand again, and the properties of the potion appeared.

"It also has another effect: not only will you hate the first person you see, but you will also act so terribly towards them that they will probably hate you back. It will sharpen your tongue, so if your friend criticises everything after I post the homework, don't be quick to judge them." Now, he HAD warned them. "The taste is bitter and will remain for a day..." He paused to think what else he could say. "You'll also feel fatigued once the effect wears off. That's it, I believe. Oh, and the duration is roughly 3 to 5 hours."

Now, be good, don't explode anything and everyone be happy.

The people that messed up: Your potions are red too, though not that bright.

So close. So close to being done.

Sophie briefly wondered how the potion would change with different types of spider being added, or if it truly would make a huge difference one way or another, but she busied herself with re-cleaning her gloves, the tabletop, and the equipment she had just used before moving on. She kept an eye on Culloden, too - surprisingly, he hadn't murdered anyone nor even come close to it, and she wondered what exactly it was that was making him so... human-like today.

Even though she wasn't sure of the cause, she was going to take some of the credit for that anyway.

Slipping the gloves back on her hands, Sophie shuffled around in the drawers of her potions kit before finding the common spider she needed, which she added to her cauldron, then she was quick to find where she kept the crocodile teeth and pulled two out. She scrutinized them carefully, dropping one into her cauldron and studying the one she had left over closely - these things were pretty cool, weren't they? - and when the potion made a grumbling noise at her, she laughed shortly and added the other crocodile tooth, too.

...Was that it? Was she finished?

Relieved, Soph cleaned her area and packed her things away in her potions kit, made some various notes to herself about the potion in her journal, then, when she was all set and ready to go, she stuck her hand high in the air to get Culloden's attention, grinning expectantly and beckoning him to come over to her. C'mon, PRETTY PLEASE?

Jasmine was ready to wrap things up. She got her spider and dropped it carefully into the potion. Now for the crocodile teeth. She took one and added it to the mixture. Not exactly sure what a grumbling potion looked like, Jasmine looked for some kind of change.....bubbling, rippling......something. After a bit, she noticed what she took to be grumbling and added the second crocodile tooth to the cauldron. Was she done? Jasmine surely hoped so because this had definitely not been her best Potions class ever.

Looking at her potion, Jasmine noticed that it was red, but not what could be considered bright red. The result of her mistake, she guessed. Knowing that they were going to have to drink this potion at some point, she didn't know whether she should be afraid or not. How would her mistake affect the potion? Listening to the Professor explain the effects of the potion, Jasmine was not looking forward to testing it out.

Gathering all of her supplies, Jasmine began to clean them one by one and then put them away. Then she gave another "Scourgify", and cleaned her workspace from top to bottom. When she was satisfied that everything had been sufficiently cleaned, Jasmine allowed herself to relax. Now all she had to do was wait three days and see if her potion turned pink.......well that and homework which she was not looking forward to at all.

......................................yep.

Maggie dropped the metal stick in surprise - and into the cauldron. Had anyone noticed?? Because she was NOT going to touch anything that was in there. So she'd just.....leave it there. Yes. She sent a polite grin to the professor as a non-verbal thank you for reminding her to stop stiring. Yes. She'd stopped now. Thank. Great help he was. After another quick glance inside she decided to simply continue with the next steps.

Seeing as she couldn't see the metal stick anymore.

Next step though yes. She smiiiiiled at Toby when he too reminded her of the next step. Half a ginger root yes. Maggie reached for hers and cut it in half. She was getting good with a knife here. That was definitely useful. At least one useful thing she'd learned here so far. Where was Dante? She needed to tell him about that afterwards.

Seeing as she was already waaaaay behind, Maggie decided that one minute was almost two minutes. So she immediately added the ice cubes once Toby had set them down in front of her. Ten of them. Yep. She'd counted them. "Thank youuuuu." She dragged out the last word slightly to show him how thankful she was. And a grin. He got that too. Heh. He was soooooo nice!

So she also used his shoulder to support some of her weight while she got off her chair again to sit on it. Carrot grating was happening. That was easy enough too. Five of them to be exact. Hey, she really WAS getting the hang of this. After a quick glance inside her cauldron, Maggie was glad to see that the ice had already melted. So she added the five whole carrots. Then the grated pieces of the other carrots. She kinda wanted to eat one. Meh.

After finishing the next step (tying the wormwood around the knotgrass), Maggie added that before reaching for her wooden stick. She hesitated for a second before 'cleaning' it with a tissue. It was clean now yeah? Now she get on her chair again to stir. Which is what she did. While doing that she leaned over to look into Toby's cauldron.....and immediately regretted that decision.

Throwing up into her cauldron was probably not a good idea right? She swallowed hard and quickly tried to focus on the stiring again.

Nine...Ten...Eleven...

Alright! Just these couple last steps and he was okay to leave. Fantastic, really. He needed a nap.

Dec threw in the spider before he could have a chance to find out if it was alive or not and then threw in a crocodile tooth. Wait for it to grumble? Potions grumble? What, did it have a bad day or something? Oh! It did grumble. Okay...in goes the other tooth. Dec watched it turn bright red like it was supposed to. Whooooop, awesome.

He cleaned up all his supplies and all around the cauldron and then bid goodbye to his potion. Throwing his book bag strap over his shoulder, he sighed in relief that he was one class closer to being done with school. Even though it was started, of course.

As they were finishing up the potion, it was starting to dawn on Caleb that they were probably going to have to actually TASTE these at some point. He wasn't sure he wanted to really HATE anyone - he had enough anger stored in his brain right now because of the whole Sophie/Grayson thing. He didn't want to make it WORSE, you know?

Ah well, he'd worry about that later. He took the spider and plopped it in his potion. Good, he was irked out by that bit and wanted it GONE. Now the crocodile tooth...he plopped it in the cauldron and waited. After a few minutes, a low gurgling noise sounded, which cued Caleb to add the second one.

Alright, that was it! Caleb watched his potion bubble away, still bright red, but he hoped next time he saw it, it would be green. Even if that meant he was going to have to actually DRINK it. Blegh.

Oh, right right. Sophie. She'd remember it this time. "Oh, yeah. We had Potions last term at Durmstrang, but it's different depending on the 'fessor, you know?" Dot stared at her gloves before deciding they needed to be cleaned again. She tugged them off and Scourgified them. Just in case.

"Oggie is my dad person. How do you get to be a 'fessor's favorite?"

Gloves went back on, and then Dot quickly dropped first the spider and then the tooth into her cauldron. She didn't even have qualms about it, which maybe made her a bad person? If some people had problems working with parts, and here she was dropping spiders in like #NBD?

What did grumbling sound like? Cupping a hand around her ear, Dot leaned in just slightly to listen for the sound, and when it came, it actually made her giggle. Out loud, even! Grumpy potion face, here was another crocodile tooth for you! Her potion was red, which was kind of a relief, and Dot tugged gently on Sophie's arm before the girl was allowed to leave. "I diiiiid it, look."

Beaming was happening. A whole lot of it. So much so that as Kyroh stared at the other boy his cheeks were starting to hurt. He would SO become a master potioneer. "I'm not gonna drink it though." He whispered quietly. Nu-uh. No thank you. He'd make potions but wouldn't drink the bad ones.

Eyes falling on Culloden as the last set of instructions were give, Kyroh nodded.ALMOST DONE! Locating the spider in his kit, he picked it up as if it wasn't a creepy eight legged creature and plopped it into the cauldron. Spiders were no big deal.Neither were crocodile tooth's. Grabbing one of those as well, he dropped it in and waited.

What did Culloden mean by grumble?

Like a stomach grumble?

Leaning closer to the potion Kyroh nearly JUMPED out of his seat as the mixture suddenly began to rumble. Yeahhh. Alright. Finding the LAST crocodile tooth he dropped it in and there.

The potion was complete.

Leaning back he scribbled the final notes on his piece of parchment, before turning to clean his desk.

Second Year
Potion: Hate Potion

Ingredients:

• 1 jobber knoll feather
• half a unicorn tail hair
• three leech head
• half a ginger root
• ten carrots
• a bunch of knotgrass
• one wormwood
• ten crow feathers
• one common spider
• two crocodile teeth

Steps:

1. Add the jobberknoll feather without any water or fire
2. Lay the unicorn hair onto the feather vertically.
   
3. Wait for Toby
4. Measure a litre of water
5. Add a litre of water
6. Cut off 3 leech heads
7. Add the leech heads one by one
8. Clean metal stick
9. With a metal stick, stir it clockwise for ten times
10. Clean metal stick again
    
11. Wait for Toby
12. Cut half the ginger root
13. Add in half the ginger root
14. Wait for two minutes and wait for Toby
15. Get ten ice cubes
16. Add ten cubes of ice all at once
17. Grate five of the carrots
18. Add the five carrots once ice has melted and sprinkle the grated ones
19. Tie the wormwood around knotgrass and add them
20. If you potion makes you feel sick it's going GREAT! Stir 10 times clockwise with wooden stick
21. Add two feathers in at a time and stir clockwise once with metal stick.
22. Repeat process until last to feathers are placed in. Don't stir.

    Colour: is the favourite colour of the person who's looking at it
    Effect: It makes you hate the first person you see, sharpens your tongue: you are very ready to point out the faults of that person
    The taste is bitter and will remain for a day
    Duration: Depends on the drinker - if they are prone to hatred, it'll be longer (roungly 3-5 hours)
    Effect on drinker: He/she will experience fatigue once the effect wears off
    

"Scourgify" The second year repeated, over and over again. First at the cutting board. Then the wooden and metal sticks, then his gloves, knife, actual desk, until EVERYTHING was super clean. Making sure to pack up all his things, Kyroh slid off his chair and walked over to Magdalena.

Peering into her cauldron he pointed. "There's a metal stick in there" Did she know? He could fix it! He was an expert and all.

Woohoo, last steps! Norah was so close she could practically taste her success, but what with the weird feeling in her stomach and the spider she was supposed to TOUCH, maybe tasting things wasn't a very good idea. Gulp. Spiders. The second year shuddered, looked at the spider, and shuddered again. She could deal with leeches and teeth and all sorts of weird stuff, but spiders were just...awful. Making an executive decision, Norah shed her gloves and picked up her wand. Maybe she could try and make it fly in there or something. What was the incantation again? Her eyebrows furrowed. Was it Wingardium LeviOsa or LevioSA? Eh, it was worth a shot anyways. Performing a swish and a flick, she said "Wingardium Leviosa!" and watched as the creature was levitated into her cauldron. And she couldn't see it anymore, thank merlin. How's THAT for problem solving, eh?

Norah consulted her notes for the final steps. She cleaned her gloves and put them back on before picking up a crocodile tooth and dropping it in the potion. And now it was supposed to...grumble? How was a potion supposed to grumble. She stared at the potion as he began to clean up her workstation, performing the Scourgify charm far more times than she wanted to ever again. Had it grumbled yet and she'd just missed it? She peered into the cauldron and grinned as a grumbling sound met her ears. AHA! What a grumpy little potion. She added the second crocodile tooth and VOILA! All done. She was pleased to see her potion was a bright red just like Culloden had said it should be. Norah squelched the urge to perform a celebratory twirl and instead grinned almost manically around the room. Maybe it was all the cleaning, or maybe just that there hadn't been a lot of heating going on in this potion, but she had DONE IT. So THERE. Now, where was her prize?

he was almost free oh finished with his potion, smiling he carefully picked up the very disgusting spider and added it into his cauldron, then went in the one crocodile tooth and then he had to wait.. he might as well start to clean as he waited for his potion to grumble, but he didn't have enough time it already had started to grumble. taking the second tooth he added it to the cauldron. Seeing that all his steps were done he did as he was told and he cleaned up his entire work space making sure all stirrers, measure vials and everything he needed to make this potion was cleaned. Packing up his bag to get it ready to leave he made sure he labeled his potion because he knew he would have to leave it there.

Adi just EYED Benny but opted not to speak this time. This was a weeeeird Benny and though Adi liked that he was talking and showing more emotions, he found it hard to get used to. Maybe this was all temporary? Or did Angel bring about a new Benny? Hmmm...

Anyway, back to work. Professor Awesome Culloden was at it again, giving them another round of instructions. Adi read the next step from the board. Spider. Spiders were cool. Sort of. In went the arachnid. Next, one crocodile tooth. Eh...a grumble should happen? O_O Adi leaned a bit closer to his cauldron.

Moments later there was a grumble. Say whaaat? Potions did that? Who knew. In went the second tooth. One bright red, hate potion. Meh.

That done, he set about cleaning up his workstation, making sure everything was spotless. One thing was sure about this lesson's homework- he wasn't looking forward to it.

So nothing should explode? Awww. Well, besides the student's emotions. That was going to be interesting. Like a crazy documentary or a zombie movie with a bunch of jump scares. Except it would be completely nonfiction and terrifying.
What if someone shorter --like her-- started hating someone with a bunch of muscles or someone who was tall, like taller than that new French student who's name she would never learn to pronounce? Eeep! At least it would only be three hours of craziness. Well, three to five. And then a bunch of tired people. So that would be good.

Adding in the last ingredients. The crocodile and the spider. Simple enough, and an incredible mark that this was potions. What other class, muggle or different involved crocodile teeth and spiders? None, that's what. Also the whole potions thing was kind of cool. The whole chemistry thing. Maybe the eleven year old should consider a science career. That seemed to be her THING.

Also, he never answered her question. Yes, it was chemistry. She had to learn that like everyone else. But WHAT about chemistry? What made it react in chemistry? Like Hydrogen and Oxygen made water, but like what abbbbbooouut them made water? What bonded? Hopefully this would be explained later. Because it was bothering her. And Ophelia was naturally curious, so she was going to find out somehow.

What color was this? She was color confused, and it made this whole thing very confusing. She couldn't see shades of red and green, which made this whole red thing annoying. Could someone heeelp her? Or was she supposed to wait until it turned blue, her favorite color, and the color she could actually see? The second one sounded good. Finishing up her potion, the girl looked at her work station and sighed. Too much sterilization! Didn't that create like super germs or something? She read somewhere that it did.

How had she missed the fact there was a spider in the ingredients? She'd have to drink this? Seriously? Not like it was a candy confectionery, it was REAL. You did NOT eat real spiders, especially not after Cassia's little brother killed their darling Venom. Poor tarantula, never stood a chance with the idiot...and her idiot of her cousin as she'd heard it.

If she found she couldn't drink it then she was most likely gonna feed hers to a firstie and record the data afterwards. How would Collarbin know? Unless the kid squealed but she figured she could take care of that.

With some reluctance, Lex added the spider. Next, according to the board, was the crocodile tooth which she added. For maybe a minute or three, she stood there waiting until she heard the potion grumble, then she added the second. That was it then, right? Done with the potion until it matured? That was most likely the case given they were cleaning up. It didn't take the Gryffindor long to get everything scourgify-ed. Idly she wondered why some bothered with the wash basin but to each their own, yeah?

Something tells him that if they happen to try out their potion for homework, school’s going to flip over. Merlin’s beard. He imagined himself drinking it, then seeing his father first. Ethan wondered about the possible things he could say to that man. Shaking his head, the prefect got the small jar with the spider in it, and dumped the eight-legged creature into his cauldron.

Next was the crocodile tooth. One piece was tossed inside the cauldron, a grumble came after, then the second tooth was added. Ethan peeked…and waited for his potion to turn bright red.

The prefect squinted at the color, already hating the potion for some reason. Well, at least his potion’s correct, yes? He’d have to wait for a few more days to see if it turns a deep shade of blue though. Grabbing his self-inking quill and notebook, Ethan took down notes…and more side notes on the page. Reviewing what he wrote, Ethan wondered if their professor took a dose of Hate Potion. He looks tired…and fatigued at the moment. Hmmmm.

Shrugging, seeing that it is none of his business right now, Ethan collected all of his used utensils and containers, and began to clean them one by one. “Scourgify!” By the way, was Gregoire doing okay?

There. He had helped her. Cosgrach was her hero! Annabeth looked at the teacher's back mesmerized while he walked away.

She sighed and added to her potion the wormwood tied to the knotgrass.
Anna barely noticed that what Cosgrach was saying was the next steps. She looked at the blackboard. He had already added new instructions. Anna read them carefully, memorizing the steps. She had wasted time and had to catch up with the steps before updating her notes. The girl was so entertained with the reading that the nauseating vapor which invaded her nostrils startled her. Would have she made a mess? She looked around. There were other students twisting their noses and they seemed quite satisfied with their potions. She supposed it should be right, she shrugged and moved on.

Anna grabbed her wand and cleaned her wooden and metal sticks. She took the wooden one and use it to stir the potion eleven times clockwise and then removed the wooden stirrer before adding two crow feathers. With the metal stick, she stirred once the potion and then she did as the teacher had said, alternating between adding feathers and stirring clockwise, taking care to not stir after the last feathers.


Anna looked at the spider. She didn't want to pick it, even wearing gloves. After hesitating two seconds, she took her wand, "Wingardium Leviosa!" and made it to levitate over the cauldron and then finished the incantation, so the spider dropped into the cauldron as she had expected to.

Anna grinned, proud of herself, then added one crocodile tooth and waited. While waiting, she tried to pull off her glove and found out it was sticked to her paining finger. "Oh, great, it's all I need now." The potion began grumbling and it was time to add the second crocodile tooth.

So, that's it? She had to wait 3 endless days! She added the last steps to her notes and, still wearing her gloves, cleaned her workstation. She raised her hand and waved at Cosgrach. Would he notice her gloves?

"Thank you for everything, professor Culloden. I love your classes and it wouldn't be a Hate Potion that would change my mind." She grinned.

And this was it. The home stretch.

Zeke quickly copied down the last of the instructions from the board, and then obliged by performing them. In went the spider. Bye bye Spidey... and then came one of the crocodile teeth. Zeke paused, hovering over the cauldron but covering his nose. And the there it was, there was the sound he'd been waiting for, the potion grumbled! And in went the last tooth.

Done.

This was immensely disappointing, but also pretty cool. Before cleaning up, Zeke copied down the rest of the notes from the board. Would they be testing it out for homework? Cause that would be pretty cool. Pretty cool indeed.

And now, now he could practice his scourgifying some more. He had to learn this one eventually. "Scourgify." ..... "Scourgify." ..... "Scourgify."..... "Scourgify."

Good thing he hadn't decided to pursue her...potion. Eden just WHEWed again and looked down at it. Pewwww.

SPIDER. Eden didn't mind bugs much. She had to feed Daisy bugs all the time, so she was quite used to it. Some of them were dead--but still. This spider was dead? or was it alive? Or asleep? She dropped it in and watched it float around a bit. Her mind trailed off, and she found herself thinking of something else completely--wondering if Daisy would like spiders?

OH RIGHT POTIONS. Uh huh.

One croco-tooth, a RUMBLE, and ANOTHER tooth later, Eden stared down at her potion. It was red. A dull, thick red. WHAT. She wondered if this was right. Probably...not. Meh. So when they came back another day, they'd be their favorite color? IF it was right?

Oh MERLIN what if hers wasn't RIGHT? UGH. She just siiiighed and slumped down in her chair. She had a headache now. This was hard.

HARD.

She rubbed her temples and tried not to worry about future potions classes...NOPE.

After quickly scribbling down the last few steps and further descriptions of the potion, David set about actually finishing it up.

He cleaned his gloves and added the spider quickly - simple enough - then cleaned his gloves again to add in one of the crocodile teeth. Now just to wait for it to grumble - ??? - which didn't seem to take too long because it sort of sounded like it was grumbling now. So in went the second tooth.

Aaaaand the potion was a bright red. 'Cause he was awesome at this obviously. Yep.

So now waiting three days was all there was left to do really. Which was easy enough.

He began cleaning his area then, Scourgifying all across the surface of the station and then casting it on all his utensils and gloves as well. It took a few minutes to do all this, but eventually it was done.

Whew. He felt like he needed a nap now. Or food. Or both. Both was good.

Hate Potion

Note: Make sure to clean everything before use!

Ingredients
- one jobberknoll feather (added)
- half a unicorn tail hair (added)
- three leech heads (added)
- half a ginger root (added)
- ten carrots (added)
- a bunch of knotgrass (added)
- one wormwood (added)
- ten crow feathers (added)
- one common spider (added)
- two crocodile teeth (added)

Steps:
1. Add the jobberknoll feather without any water or fire.
2. Lay half the unicorn hair onto the feather vertically.
3. Add a litre of water.
4. Add the leech heads one by one.
5. With a metal stick, stir it clockwise for ten times (Clean the metal stick before and after using).
6. Add half the ginger root.
7. Wait for two minutes.
8. Add ten cubes of ice all at once.
9. Wait until they melt and grate five of the carrots in the meantime. Add the ungrated ones at once, and sprinkle the grated ones.
10. Tie the wormwood around the knotgrass and add them.

**If everything is correct, steam from the potion should be visible and you should feel a little bit nauseous. If not, start over.

11. Stir eleven times clockwise with a wooden stick.
12. Add two crow feathers.
13. Stir once clockwise with metal stick.
14. Add two crow feathers.
15. Stir once clockwise with metal stick.
16. Continue adding two feathers and stirring once after until all feathers are added. Do not stir after the last two feathers. (Note: The metal stick does not need to be cleaned every time. Just leave it in the cauldron until the last feather is added.)
17. Add spider.
18. Add one crocodile tooth.
19. Wait until potion grumbles.
20. Add second tooth.

**The potion takes about three days to mature. Currently, it should be bright red. Once it turns into your favorite color, then it is ready.

Effect: Will cause the drinker to hate the first person they see. Will also probably end up making that person hate the drinker too because the drinker will act really terrible to them. Tastes bitter.
Duration: Approximately 3 to 5 hours
After-Effects: Fatigue

Alright the last stretch, he just needed to do these last two steps. He smiled and was glad he was almost done. He got his trusty spider friend and was sad he was gonna be cooked but he dropped him in anyways for school purposes. Then he found his crocodile tooth and dropped it in and then he waited for his potion to grumble. He waited a few seconds and then it started to like grumble and bubble. He then added the second one afterwards.

He now needed to clean his workspace and he nodded and got his wand out and said, "Scourgify!" and his workspace was spotless. He never seen it soo clean. He heard he needed to leave his potion here and that it would change to his favorite color once it was done. So it would turn blue once done? That was cool. He heard the side effects and was like yikes! He didn't want to be people to be around him. It was like a girl who was on their period. They are usually like that.

Cleaning and tidying up ha taken him a short while, only because he was learning with the spell, so while it took him longer now than it would have if he had done it by hand, next time he'll be quicker and more efficient. Not to mention more thorough. And thorough was good.

Finally he closed his notebook and stuffed it into his bag along with with his quill, and once the stopper was in his ink well, that too followed suit.

He figured he had everything, but he didn't want to leave. He wanted to sit and watch his cauldron... just sit and watch and wait. Of course he would be needing someone to look it over for him, or else he wouldn't be able to tell if it was ready. The curse of having red as a favourite colour he supposed.

"Thanks for the lesson, Professor," Zeke farewelled as he rose from his stool and moved to exit the classroom.

He'd be back! He'd be back!!!!!

She was almost done brewing the potion, and Lux had to say that she was happy because the concept of hate potions seemed wrong to her. This would be one that she'd never drink if she could help it; the world needed more love and hugs, not hatred and fighting.

Listening to Professor Culloden explain the results of the potion and the effects, she jotted the last few steps down. One of them required waiting for a few days, so she only had a tiny bit to do before she was done for today. Awesome. The spider wasn't so awesome though, and Lux shuddered as she added it to the cauldron. One of the crocodile teeth followed, then she waited for the potion to grumble before adding the second.

And that was that.

Smiling, Lux cleaned her workstation while making sure not to touch her cauldron. Hopefully when she came back here next, she would see that it had changed from bright red to a nice shade of blue.
