As you walk down the first floor corridor headed towards the History of Magic classroom, the faint sounds of music can be heard coming from that direction. It's not all that loud and seems more for the benefit of Professor Glendower as she is putting herself in the proper mindset for class.
Outside the classroom door hangs a large, ornate sign with the message, Make an Entrance. It is the same sign that hung outside the room last year, but she has written in her own flowery cursive the word Respectfully underneath it as she realized that some students needed the reminder. She was all about creativity and individual interpretation, but it was important to be nice too!
Once inside the classroom, you'll find Professor Glendower who might be singing along to the music as she happily dances through the rows of chairs, placing a chocolate frog on each desk. Welcome to History of Magic!
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Well, this was going to be interesting. And fun. Dress up seemed to have become an integral part of History of Magic classes. Not that Adi minded. It was all fun.
The Hufflepuff grabbed his card and flipped it over. Newt Scamander. Awesome! Magical Creatures dude! Adi liked magical creatures too, ya know. He grinned broadly at Newt before shuffling off to find costumes.

Josette could practically feel her heart jump up into her throat as the Professor had informed the class they would be acting out a game as the person on their chocolate frog cards. Oh Drats, was it too late to possibly go & see the healer? She was actually feeling a bit woozy from her embarrassing tumble earlier!
...No?
She sighed a little bit as she unwillingly turned over her chocolate frog card & saw the name Daisy Dodderidge printed on it. Thankfully she was aware of who she was, being the lady who had built the Leaky Cauldron, but that wasn't her concern. Her concern was actually how she was going to convey this to the class? How could she possibly act out Daisy Dodderridge?
She sighed before getting out of her seat to make her way towards the back of the room where the boxes of props & costumes were as she attempted to get a glimpse of an idea as to what she could possibly use.
...Professor, perhaps she might be coming down with something!
Toby was still in a weird enough mood that this activity was likely to be more difficult than it might be on some other day, but he was determined to try his best with it of course. The Hufflepuff finally flipped open the box of his chocolate frog and had to think fast to catch the frog that immediately attempted to leap away. Holding it carefully by one leg between his finger and thumb, Toby slipped the card from the box and flipped it over.
Hengist of Woodcroft. Heh. Well... it shouldn't be too hard for people to guess if they already knew who it was, right? It was a bit of a challenge, which was a nice distraction.............. Toby found himself looking up at Lex and then at Kyroh again, before glancing at Professor Glendower and wondering if she'd be annoyed if he went over to see his little Ravenclaw bud.
Deciding to opt out of a costume and the hustle and bustle at the back of the classroom, Toby quickly took up some of his spare parchment and rolled them up tight. He clutched the scroll in one hand, and if anyone asked, it he would tell them it was blueprints, or a map, or some form of deed.
Giving a little smile to Soph and a quirk of his head to see if she would follow (without talking, because they were supposed to be in character), Toby got up and out of his seat and moseyed on over towards where Kyroh and others were sat. He didn't say anything about anything, or even really sit too close. Toby just made sure he was present, leaning up against an empty desk a small ways away from Ky and just sort of... existing there.
And he held his scroll super obviously of course, as a clue for what people might need to ask about.

Now that she had on her costume, Maddie decided it was a good time to head back to her seat. Mostly because she fancied the idea of people coming to her and not the other way around. She wasn't going to act unless she was talked to, mmkay? The costume was weird enough.
Oh and her lute? Well it wasn't REALLY a lute but it WAS a stringed instrument and she WAS playing it like it was a lute. Strum strum strummmm. Wrock on. Maybe. This hair was heavy. Did Nigel's hair weigh this much? Questions, Maddie had them.
The thirteen year old planted herself back in her seat and eyed Toby and his scroll, eyebrows slightly raised. Was he here for Kyroh watch or was he simply looking for a chat. Sorry buddy, we're playing here.

They were finally done discussing why people got put on chocolate frog cards. Brooklyn hadn’t particularly cared how they got on them, aside from sort of wanting to be on one herself. She was important enough for one, but it didn’t seem like there were many cards that featured people who were princesses. As far as she could remember, most of the people were boys anyway, which annoyed her. Chocolate frog cards were annoying, along with the frogs. As the discussion had continued, she’d resorted to eating the legs of hers since eating the head hadn’t stopped it from wiggling. Now it had. She’d shoved the body back into the packaging for later, too, almost as soon as Professor Glendower had announced they could look at their cards now. Not only that, but they were supposed to represent their person, so she hoped she had a good one.
Picking her card up, she also wondered how the crazy head girl was going to do the activity. It would be like a double act, since she still was convinced the fairy tale witch thing was just weirdness. Not real. Maleficent wasn’t real, but chocolate frog card people were. Anyway, she had her own card to look at, and as she peeked, she saw two things. A hooded woman with a smoky bottle, and the name. Cliodne. At least it was a girl, and, checking the back again for the information, she read more about her. “This should be easy,” she said to herself, shoving her card into her pocket as she went up to look in the box for props and stuff. Nobody was going to peek at her card by her leaving it back on her desk.
She found a green hooded cloak and put it on, but kept digging, her hair falling into her face and being shoved aside. Hoods didn’t keep hair back apparently. After finding a bottle and three birds, she went back to her desk to figure out what clues she could give to people. At least Irish people could have red hair, so she hadn’t had to figure out spells she didn’t know.

Er....5 what? For a moment the Mistress of all Evill looked positively puzzled. Points? What was she meant to do with those in the first place and why was the woman taking them. She supposed it didn't matter in the end, the point was she was taking what belonged to her. "You have no right to my possessions, no matter the fact I don't know what I'd be doing with points. They belong to me by right." By right of what, she couldn't say, again, she had no idea what they were for. "And I don't believe I gave you leave to take those." In reference to the chocolate frogs the woman had also stolen. Was she not the only villain in this place? Since she got here she'd certainly been robbed a lot and Maleficent didn't know how she felt about this. Quite the injustice it was.
And what was the meaning of this 'game of dress up'. Who did they think she was? Some child to be kept entertained until collected by a parent at the end of the day?? Just what was this madness?
Idly she turned her card, still not having moved a muscle from her seat. What? What in the heavens? What? "Hufflepuff? Is that even a word?" She squinted at the fat woman portrayed on the cards.
"Just how did she get a face on these cards if I haven't??" Flipping again she found extra details on the woman and found it even harder to believe? "What even.....? I demand another card. Fetch me one Peasants." She was not this Hufflepuff woman, she was Maleficent. Why did no one understand?

Right.
Acting. He could act. Kyroh's eyes flickered to Zander and he offered his sidekick a small smile. He hadn't really wanted the chocolate frog he had given him, but yeah. The card was important. Tearing away at the box the second year only had a few seconds before the frog hopped out and onto his desk. Without any hesitation Kyroh drew his wand, slowing it down just like they had learned LAST year in DADA. Swipping the frog he turned around and dropped it on Dima's desk.
For YOU okay? Yeah.
Turning back around he drew out the card and couldn't help but SIGH as he observed the moving man.
Salazar Slytherin.
He already KNEW about him. EVERYONE knew about him.
....And how was he suppose to be Slytherin when he was a Ravenclaw?
..........Wait. Slytherin had a beard.
Beard time?
Getting up he pocketed the card and quickly ran over to one the boxes. Beaard-beaaard AH. Finding a nice one that was good length and white he stuck it onto his face. Slytherin was also bald, but there was no way he was going to shave his head. Instead Kyroh rummaged and found a dark robe that had strangely long sleeves. That was medieval right?
Shrugging on the robe Kyroh turned to make his way back to his seat but paused. Uh. He titled his head up a bit and straightened his back and SCOWLED.
Better than you. I speak to snakes. I own 1/4 of a castle.

Ethan nodded, as he opened his box of chocolate frog and pinned the moving candy with his finger, and got the card out. The prefect took a deep breath, hoping that he'd end up with someone he actually can act out.
Flipping his card over, Ethan beamed as he got MERLIN.
Oh yes. OH YES! Hehehehehe! He was hoping for Gregory the Smarmy, but he can't complain because he's got a mad genius to portay.
The Slytherin placed the chocolate in his mouth with its hind legs dangling, and wriggling as he read the information on his card.
Hmm...Hmmmmmmm.

Nessa nodded at Benjamin as he gave an answer to her second question. “Yes, many of those featured on cards have had some measure of achievement or positive influence.. good.” Though there were others that those attributes didn’t quite apply. But he got a big smile for his insightful answer.
Another raised hand and Nessa gave a nod in the girl’s direction to call on her. “Oh but there are dark wizards on some of the cards,” she replied with a smile, still quite pleased with her answer. “But generally people featured hold some importance in history, yes.”
Nessa called on AJ next, listening intently as the girl gave her answer. “Often the people found on those cards have done something cool..” Not always though and there were a couple that had a hand in curing things. “A unicorn farm would be really cool, wouldn’t it?” As far as she knew no one on any wizard card had started one, but who knew what people did in their spare time, really.
He hadn’t? Nessa looked upon this student with a surprised expression. “Oh plenty of people trade and collect the cards. I did when I was younger.. and quite a few of your classmates had just said they did..” Was he not paying attention? That was a bit troubling as attentiveness was important for learning. Maybe he didn’t himself or traveled in a small circle of kids that looked down on fun, but the boy got a smile regardless and she listened to him expand on his thoughts, first commenting to AJ’s reply. “Typically unicorns don’t live on farms..” That much was true, but that wasn’t what AJ had said anyway. “But she did say someone could start one.. and that just might be inventive enough to land someone on a card, especially if it was the first one.” And a successful one, though that wasn’t necessarily important. But back to his answer to the second question. “Well, usually the witches and wizards were well-known at one time in the community.” And the cards did help to keep them from being forgotten. “And it’s true that typically they’ve done something noticeable to land their faces there.. but they don’t have to be old!” At this, Nessa smiled widely at the boy. They were old or deceased now, but not all of them were when they gained a lucrative spot on a card.
”In basic terms, yes,” Nessa nodded, beaming happily at the boy. Of course there was more to it than that, but he was right in a very broad, general sense.
Nessa smiled widely as Lux offered her answer, nodding a bit in confirmation. “Having an impact.. that is a good way of putting it. Though not always positive.” There were a handful of dark wizards there too.
”Generally, yes,” Nessa nodded happily as Toby offered his answer next. “Many of the people on the cards are role models or inspirational.. though not all of them.” She gave the boy a big smile for his contribution as it was a great addition to the discussion.
Alexa Cambridge was officially on Professor Glendower’s nerves. Even award-winning performances had their limits and this one had gone past that now. She was frowning now, something that she rarely did, but she found it rather disheartening that there always seemed to be something happening in her class to prevent it from running smoothly. And apparently this class’s disruption would come from the Head Girl who certainly was taking the position to extremes. She did not want to stifle anyone’s creativity but there also had to be a sense of order and respect, something that one of her housemates had to learn the hard way last term.. and it would seem that she did as well.
“That will be five points from you, Miss,” she informed her, shaking her head in disappointment as she flicked her wand at the chocolate frogs she had yet to return, sending them all back to their rightful owners. She’d let her keep one for class purposes as all were meant to have one. “Now you’ll either go back to your seat and follow directions like the rest of the class,” she stated calmly but firmly. “Or you may leave.” And she really hated to kick her out but the girl was being far too disruptive to the rest of the class for Nessa to be able to teach properly.. or at least the way she found to be most effective. And if she continued to be disruptive, maybe the girl needed detention. Certainly nothing Nessa wanted to do, but sometimes children needed to learn the hard way. It seemed to serve Kevin well as he was behaving much more respectfully and eagerly today.
She could always count on Simon to have thoughtful answers and this time was no different. Nessa smiled brightly at the boy, nodding after she heard all that he had to say and had a second to think it over. “Good way of putting it. They aren’t just beneficial things that can get someone on a card, it can be something that has had a negative effect too. Yes, history serves as an important reminder that we need to learn from pasr mistakes.” Always learning from the ones that came before us. Very good point.
”Those are probably good words to describe most of those that end up on a card,” Nessa said after taking a moment to think over Ian’s answer. She wasn’t sure how popular many of them were, though being on a card could have contributed to their later popularity as well.
”A very concise way to sum things up,” Nessa said with a smile as Adi gave his answer. But she did want them to try to delve a bit deeper than that.
Nessa gave the young Slytherin a smile as she offered an answer as well. She was right, some did seem less famous or at least less widely known. And there was a reason for that, though it was also interesting that a select few of those would be on a card as well. “Yes.. all of them are at least notable in one way or another. Some in more significant ways than others. And yes! There is a nominating process..” Good job.
”Many of them are a great inspiration,” she nodded happily, beaming brightly at the prefect. That had been mentioned earlier but it could stand to be mentioned again. “But not all.. there are some dark wizards in the mix as well..” And she’d hope that bright young Ethan would not be inspired by the likes of Herpo the Foul.
Nessa tapped her chin thoughtfully after hearing this particular student’s answer. “I’m not so certain that that is a requirement of being on the card..” Though she’d have to admit that as far as she knew, many of those on cards had been deceased before they were featured but that was likely because the cards were invented after their passing. “But oftentimes, one’s accomplishments are celebrated or appreciated as much until after some time has passed to see the true effects of their acts.” And that often meant after they were gone.
Nessa nodded a bit at this girl’s answer, agreeing in theory. “Though they’ve done notable things, sometimes a bit of popularity is a contributing factor.” In fact, she could think of a few cards that were ore based in popularity than notable accomplishment. But she liked those cards too.
Another thoughtful, concise answer and Nessa gave Jasmine an approving smile. “True.. something unique, something monumental.. and some of them are firsts of something.” Quite insightful to mention that as well.
Nessa’s eyes fell on the young Ravenclaw as he scribbled away at what she could only presume to be notes. She gave him an approving nod and smile at his attentiveness, knowing that he’d need it soon.
Nessa nodded a bit at Kace’s answer. “Many achieved things to help the wizarding world.. but not all. There are some dark wizards in there too. Why do you think they are included as well?” Because the things they did didn’t directly help the community though their effects may have caused things to change the community in a positive way.
”Many did do things that were wonderful or cool,” Nessa nodded happily at the young girl, still smiling somewhat brightly. “But don’t forget those included that didn’t do such wonderful things.” Wizards that were dark or those that did cool yet not all that life-altering things. “Why do you think those people got their own cards?”
Nessa thought over Sophie’s answer next once she spoke her thoughts aloud. She supposed the manufacturers had a big hand in selecting just who was featured on a card. “Oh many of them are a big inspiration to the community with their accomplishments, aren’t they?” she beamed at her as she answered. “But there are some in there that aren’t quite so inspiring as well..”
Nessa thought this answer over as well as she tapped her finger in her chin. That was a possibility.. at least for some of them. “Marketability could be a factor in at least some. There are many that are well-known, though some have become that way through the cards themselves.” Or at least made people become more aware of them when their memories could have faded. “I can’t say that all of them were well-liked though.. or attractive..” Though that was something of a relative term. Eye of the beholder and all.
Nessa gave the boy a wide smile at his answer. “That is a perfect word for it! Significant.. the vast majority of the people found on the cards did something significant in the wizarding world.” Some much more than others who seemed to be there because of popularity more than achievement, but for the most part that was about it.
Something worth remembering.. that was another good way to put things and Nessa smiled widely as she nodded her agreement. “That is generally true.. and I would imagine some of them are famous to muggles as well..” She had heard of things like that in her readings, though she couldn’t say from personal experience. Maybe he could let her know of that himself.. ? “Well, they are called Wizard trading cards.. so yes,” she smiled pleasantly at the boy. “But there are other types of cards too..” Though they wouldn’t be discussing those today.
Oh that was a good answer or at least a guess and Ness smiled at the girl’s response. “Some things like that do help.. but no, the first Minister isn’t found on a card. There are other Ministers that are..” Hmm, it was curious that the first Minister of Magic wasn’t though..
Nessa smiled lightly as her eyes fell yet again on the quiet yet studious girl. She approved of taking notes, though it wasn’t completely necessary.. it would help with character study that they’d all need very soon.
”Remarkable is another good word for it,” Nessa told him, nodding happily. “Whether good or bad, most of those did something remarkable..” Then again, not all. But still a good answer that she was looking for.
Oh, notable was another key word and Nessa nodded encouragingly at Archie. She already had a feeling he was quite adept at history and he was doing quite well in class so far. “Right.. some are more notable than others. Some are interesting in their own right, but all have done something significant.. at least in someone’s eyes.” She supposed at times it could be considered relative.
Hmm.. She wondered what was going on in Cutty’s mind, whether he was reflecting on the answers given by his classmates or formulating his own ideas or something else entirely, but she could tell that he was deep in thought. That was always good to see and she gave a small approving smile before she looked for the next hand raised.
Nessa nodded happily as this girl began. Yes, exactly her point to another student.. much of that had to do with time and posthumous appreciation.. but it wasn’t necessarily a factor. “Something memorable.. another good factor!” she earned a beamy smile for her contribution. Such great thoughts from the class today!
”You don’t have to be,” she said with a smile as she heard Marigold’s answer. “There are plenty of heroes and inventors included though..” But there were any others as well.
”I’m sure they have a hand in the decision making,” Nessa said brightly as she gave an approving nod towards Agatha. There wasn't just any old wizard who got to be on, like a few of them had mentioned, though from what she knew it was a lengthy process.
Nessa liked Maddie’s beamy smile and she got one in return for her answer. "Something significant usually.. even if it was something accidental.. yes, sometimes that's the way too," she said with a nod. But the rest? Nessa thought this over a moment. "I suppose.. though that certainly depends on the ethics of those involved, doesn't it?" She gave the girl a curious look. Such a devious thought for a little mind.
Nessa nodded as Caleb began. Yes, he was right.. after everyone’s answers, that bit was pretty much established.. but the rest. The professor tapped her chin thoughtfully as he continued. “I suppose that’s possible, depending on the ethics of those involved..” Especially for those who accomplished, well, odd things.. but that was really another story for another day. They weren’t going to get too involved into the politics of it all. “And yes! There are those that are on there for bad things..” She gave him another nod with a bright smile before moving on to the next hand raised.
Nessa nodded thoughtfully at the girl’s answer once she called on her. “I think that’s a good point though I do tend to think it’s a little of both.. there are quite a few that did special or exemplary things.. but then again there are some that did not. And there are people who decide who are on the cards.” Or had decided in the past. “Some of them could have just been those that were favored in their opinion.” Those that they thought kids should see as models, whether positive or negative. Insightful
”Many of them did, yes,” she smiled brightly at Beverly as she offered her answer. “It does seem that that should be a requirement.. though they weren’t all over the top achievements..” Maybe just a matter of opinion though.
Another silent, studious one. Nessa gave the girl a soft smile as her eyes stopped on her for a moment. Even without contributing to the discussion, it was always important to be paying attention which Nessa was sure she was doing.
Nessa beamed brightly at Dima as he offered his opinion. “Oh wouldn’t that be fantastic!” She could just imagine what it would say about her theater performances! “That is such a sweet sentiment, Dima, thank you.. though I’m not sure I compare with the ranks of some of those featured on cards..” What a lovely thing to say though and quite fun to think about.
Hmm, that was an interesting theory and she was always happy to see students thinking creatively. “Oh there actually are people who hold that title on cards,” she said, smiling with approval at Kyroh. “But for the rest.. the selection process is slightly more than that.” She gave him a knowing grin, liking his answer anyway.
Anyone else with an answer? Nessa didn’t want to stifle anyone, even if the answers were starting to sound like reworded versions of the same thing. Brown eyes fell on Penelope next, but she remained silent. That was perfectly fine though as long as she was paying attention.. which she appeared to be. She gave her a reassuring smile before moving on.
"Wonderfully insightful answers, everyone!" Nessa beamed at the class as she moved to the center of the room again. "Some of the most fitting words we've gathered from the discussion are significant, remarkable, notable, and memorable. Typically, those that found their way onto cards have done something that one of those words describe.. or have had something happen to them. Sometimes they were the first to do something. Many could be consider role models – whether positive or negative.. though that may just be one person’s opinion as well.. And some were just very well-known in our culture during their time and they found their way onto cards – such as a few of the musicians and Quidditch players that are included."
"So we are going to play a little game to learn more about those that are featured on the trading cards." Many of them would know her and her teaching methods well enough by now to guess what was coming next. And the rest would learn soon enough. "Go ahead and peek at your card now.. BUT.. don't let anyone else see!" That part was important. "Read over the information, absorb it, try to get into the mind of the person who is featured on your card. Then.. you are going to become that person for the remainder of the class and try to have others guess who you are by the information you give them.. without giving away the name. Unless they don't get it after a couple of guesses of course. As always, there are props and costumes in the boxes at the back of the room." If they really wanted to get into character of course. And that would help with the game if they dressed in period pieces or carried a specific prop. "If you need a reminder of who all are on the cards, the names are up on the board." She waved her wand and a list of names appeared there.
OOC - Claim a name from this list and that is the card that your character has and needs to portray. As there are 101, please do not pick one that someone else already has claimed. I will do my best to keep track of who all has what in this post and in the first post - put it in your title for easy reference for me, please. It is up to you to find information on that character that may be listed on the card and then portray that character through costume, props, and/or facts that your character would tell another to try to guess who they may be. Then have your character try to guess someone else's. Try to guess as many others or have as many characters guess yours as you want, but this must be done in 5 posts. Make sense? Have questions? Don't hesitate to ask me.
Eden flipped her card over, kind of SMUG about her great ideas in this class. Havelock Sweeting? Who the heck was THAT? She raised an eyebrow at the professor and wondered if she could just PEEK in her book. HMPH.
Okay. He was a unicorn guy. That was cool. Unicorns were COOL. Now. Who should she get to guess who she was? Just any random old person? She doubted Layla wanted to play with her--she was probably tired of seeing her face all day every day.
Since she had already devoured her frog completely she began to try to get over the embarrassment of trying to act things out. She tucked some of her hair behind her ears and siiiiighed, Okay, Eden. HERE we GO.
Could they talk? No one else was--so Eden just kind of used her finger and put it on her head like a HORN--and then she began to prance...and do that foot thing that horses/unicorns? did. And then she made the little hand-heart and placed it over her heart--but she didn't know if she was all that clear? Hmm?
I LOVE UNICORNS. THEY'RE GREAT. YAY UNICORNS.
She wanted to just SHOUT this at everyone. It would make this Game SO much easier.

Lex had just gotten five points taken away. Way to go head girl. Wasn't she the one always getting on to people for losing points? Something was wrong with Lex. This was more that just a performance. Couldn't they see?
It was time to flip the card over, and AJ was anxious to see who she had. She knew that dressing up and acting some kind of skit out would happen. This was History of Magic, and this was kind of a thing now. Not that AJ was complaining. It was lots of fun.
Flip. Her card was turned over, and still blocked for everybody else's view. Harry Potter. She scanned over the card and thought about how she could dress up. Would putting a scar on her forehead be too far?

So he had been sort of right in his answer which gained him a positive response. Anything else, Benny had harvested from his classmates and professor to add to his notes for later reference. Something to pay attention to more fully...later...when they were all outside of class.
For now it was time to actually open up the chocolate frog and see what his hard was. Doing so carefully so as not to let the frog escape from its wrapper for now, the Gryffindor slowly slipped the card over to spot the name and image of his witch or wizard.

Not entirely familiar with the wizard, Ben scrolled briefly through the information posted on the card and nearly snorted at the brief contents. Of course he'd get someone associated in someway with dragons. Just his luck. Opening his textbook up in search of further clues, the fourth year discreetly passed his chocolate frog over to Angel. Maybe she'd prefer it since he wasn't all that interested.

Ian slid the wizard card from it's box. As he hadn't actually opened it, it was a little more time consuming than others. He thought this was a fun idea, but he wasn't sure how well he would do with this particular activity. As he pulled the card out, he turned the portrait in his direction and didn't immediately recognize the wizard on the card. He thought it odd the wizard would be pictured with a creature and seemed to be running from it.
He turned the card over to read the description and his head drooped a little. Seriously!?! This was the card he was left with? He'd never get anyone to guess what he was. He set the card back on the table and began to think about how to portray this one. He'd come up with something. Maybe he'd do well to guess others had received.

Angel smiled as her Handsome guy gave her a chocolate frog. "Thanks." Angel gave him one of her best angelic smiles because well he was awesome and that was such a nice thing to do. She would have to share something with him later.
She peeked at her card and just stared at it.

Dot wasn't sure if the professor didn't realize she was giving really REALLY good answers, or if she just didn't care. The woman got a nose wrinkle for her trouble, but then they were allowed to flip their cards and she was done with making faces. For now. It was going to be awesome and fun to make useful faces as part of this game.
History of Magic had always been dead boring at Durmstrang, but today here at Hogwarts, she got to be... Greta Catchlove? Who was... Dot scanned her card for details before scurrying to the prop box.
An apron. A fancy hat, because why not? And... was this a cheese board? Probably not, but it could be used for that. Was there any cheese in the prop box? Dot practically crawled inside it as she dug down to the bottom, pulling out a lump of crumbling styrofoam, a plastic yellow belt buckle, and a rubber mouse. Okay, those were cheese-like. They all went on her board.
"Chaaaaaaaaarming," Dot skipped back to her desk and looked for someone to question.

It was activity time, and Lux could already tell that this was going to be a lot of fun because she would be acting out the witch or wizard on her card. Acting was a lot of fun, and it had helped increase her love for history. History was awesome.
Unwrapping her Chocolate Frog, Lux took a bite and savoured it. If only Professor Glendower would let her eat a dozen of them, but then she'd end up having to perform as a lot of people and that would probably give her a headache after a time. Popping the rest of the chocolate in her mouth, she glanced at her card and beamed.
Godric Gryffindor himself. The founder of the best House in Hogwarts. He was one of the people that was missing from her card collection as well; hopefully the Professor would allow her to keep it. But then she couldn't see a reason why she couldn't. It was hers after all.
As Kace was turning over his chocolate covered frog card, he realized he got a cool dude. I mean he was wearing a top hat. As he approved of his appearance, he flipped over the card and was reading the information but he heard he needed to dress up like the character he got. This was going to be a fun lesson.
Alright all he needed was a top hat, a monocle and a cane. Maybe if the professor had a purple robe he could pull it off too. He grinned and was getting more and excited. He decided to eat the chocolate frog as it tried to jump off his desk. AH not soo fast mister! Kace grabbed him from his legs and started to devour his delicious treat. Yum yum yummmyyyy....

Ian headed over to the prop box for something with which he could cover himself. He found a few things in the box that looked like bandages. He went back to his seat and began to wrap himself up to look as if he had survived a vicious attack from a magical creature. He even took a few minutes to magically cover the bandages with reddish stains to show he was wounded.
He looked around and saw Eden had dressed up, as had a few other students. He was trying to decide who to talk to in order to guess what they were portraying.

Getting excited he flipped his chocolate card over and saw that he got Bertie Bott!!! awesome, even though some of the dudes candies were gross most of them were really good, like the popcorn ones. Smiling he saw that the dude had a nice mustachio laughing now he saw that he had some work to do to start acting this this guy. Did Bay mention how nice this guys hair was too.. eeeppp, old man Bay looks like he's making a comeback.
She may not have a chocolate frog anymore -- it was in her stomach -- but she did have the box it came in and the card she hasn't seen yet. Sliding said card out she flipped it over and raised an eyebrow.
Circe.
Smiiiirk.
She likes this one. Girl power and all. Now...how would she portray Circe. Would it be allowed to attempt to transfigure boys into pigs? It could turn into a sort of training lesson too. Beverly glanced over at Professor Glendower. She doubted she'd be allowed to. Boo.
Puck couldn’t help but grin at the card that she had received. She was only just under a thousand years old…well, if she were alive and not a Wizarding card…and well, she had brown hair! It was PERFECT! She grinned as she glanced down at the former Chaser for Puddlemore United.
Alright...she needed a quaffle, knee pads, and other...quidditch gear. She was going to ROCK this part wasn't she? yeah, she so was.

AWWWWWWW YEAH! Caleb got an AWESOME card. Herpo the Foul? Aka the Papa of the Basilisk? SO COOL! Caleb grinned and immediately jumped up to get to the costume area so he could get to work right away. Were there any stuffed snakes?
Aha! Stuffed snake! Just what Caleb needed! He grinned and grabbed the green snake plush, and then put on a large green robe. He was a Parseltongue, which was a historical Slytherin trait, so hopefully people would get that from this.
Then he grabbed a white wig and tossed it on lazily over his hair. Now people would hopefully get he was an OLD, ancient wizard. Alright, he was ready for this! Let's do itttt.

After much rummaging in the chest, Norah found a set of Quidditch robes, or at least something that looked like Quidditch robes. She pulled them over her head, holding her breath as to not inhale the musty smell in there. She looked down at her costume which was about five sizes too large and giggled, because who even KNEW if she'd be able to walk in this thing. She looked back at her chocolate frog card with a suspicious look around her to make sure nobody was peeking because cheating is lame, mhmm, and chanced another search through the costumes. She needed a beater's bat, or at least something similar. AHA! Norah jumped up triumphantly, waving a short club around her head. Maybeeee that wasn't the smartest idea. She brought the club down quickly before anyone was decapitated.
The second year struggled back to her seat in her way-too-long Quidditch robes and looked around at the other students. She began her imitation of flying, waving her beater's bat around in a much less dangerous position. Wheeeee! Why couldn't they play dress up in every class?

Okay, so normally he wasn't one for history, but this topic was his FORTE. He could go on about chocolate frogs forever. He even had a collection. Though, uh, it was still in progress. There were just way too many Albus Dumbledore's circling around in the trading card business. So anyways, it had been KILLING him not to look at the card. Honestly, he would have tried to take a peek at it earlier, but it was just really hard trying to be sneaky. So he had to wait. Unfortunately.
BUT IT WAS TIME!!!!
Turning the card around with a giant excited smile he-- Ugh. Mirabella Plunkett. He already had this one. Furthermore, she was a WOMAN. And he had to dress up like her? .... Why. But well, he did sort of sympathize with her a little bit. You know the whole forbidden love thing? Sounded kind of familiar. Except, no. He couldn't- no, wouldn't think about that now. He had a chocolate frog in his tummy. His happy place.
Alright anyways, the Gryffindor walked over to the trunk of costumes to look for one that would fit the role. After searching FOREVER, he finally found a long ginger wig and picked that up. Okay cool. But how could he make people know that he was this Plunkett woman- who was completely insane by the way- without telling people her entire life story?
He needed a fish.
Or...... this fish suit? He was supposed to be a haddock. Could you tell? And he felt completely ridiculous. And the wig wasn't really staying on right...

Oh, how we drift away from our friends. And the ones back home play remember when
Samantha opened her chocolate frog packet completely and discreetly looked at her card. She was excited when she saw who was on her card. Morgan Le Fay was Samantha's favourite witch. After, Sam studied the card closely, she placed the card into her bag and then headed for the costume box to find a suitable ensemble.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
Ceorlic flipped his card over immediately after th Professor had told them all too. He couldn't quite make out the image on his card because the person featured on it seemed to be vanishing within the card itself. How was he supposed to be transparent!? Oh wait...Xavier Rastrick was an eccentric performer who disappeared mid-performance... Okay. He could do this. Getting up from his desk the Scot walked over to the Costume Trunk.
He sifted through it, pulling out most of what he considered to to eccentric. Coming up with this little miss-matching outfit a pair of tap shoes, and a red top hat.
