| | |  Herbology Lesson 2
At eight o'clock in the morning, the door to the Second Greenhouse is wide open. You step inside to find that the tables are set differently. Instead of being separately scattered around they are aligned next to each other forming one long table right in the center of the greenhouse. Wooden chairs are also lined on both sides of the tables next to each other. The Professor's table is no where to be seen. But he is standing right at the further end of the tables with his hands on the table and a few feet behind him is a blackboard.
Aside from the different arrangements of the tables you will notice another important thing; there is absolutely nothing on the tables. Look closely around you and you will also see that every other pot is covered and no plant is in sight.
ooc: Lesson will not start for at least another 16 hours! Also, note that there certainly have been a number of lessons before this one.
Class has officially started. Do not post you character arriving late, act as if they've been here all the time

Having taken care of some of the sick plants Hady returned her unused nametags to the cabinet she had gotten them from. Walking back to her table to pulled out her parchment and read over her notes for the plants she cared for making sure everything was in order and clearly readable.
Setting that aside she pulled out her notes from the class and added in a few more things she had learned. Everything seemed to be in order so she began to pack her things away and wait until the Professor announced class was finished which she was almost certain it would be very shortly. |

Ian resisted the urge to let out a whoop of joy as the professor said they could go. He gathered up his satchel, placed his quill in it, to make sure that it was secure and stood. He stretched a wee bit as this class had made him feel a bit like he needed a nap and headed for the professor's area near the front of the greenhouse.
He dropped off his log: Quote:
Tinker's Log (stardate 2085.01.14)
The Tinker, Ian variety has observed locally produced vegetation and noted some strange symptoms and growth patterns. The young Hufflepuff student performed the following actions and logged them for further study by qualified herbologists aboard ship.
Plant 1 – Elephant ear plant - Yellowing leaves. Trimmed the dying leaves, checked soil and added some water.
Plant 2 – Cactus - Undersized cactus, used Herbivicus
Plant 3 – Buttercup Plant looked a bit undernourished and lacking of light. Added some fertilizer and placed in a nice sunny space.
Tinker, 4th year type feels this is an adequate sample size to predict healthy growth patterns and possible need for preventative measures to ensure an adequate food supply for follow-on explorers.
Tinker's log for this stardate is complete.
Thank you professor. Hope I treated the plants in a way that they'll be right as rain soon enough. Have a nice day. With his final greeting, Ian scooted out of the greenhouse and back to the castle for his next class.

Give the plant logs to him.... Did Zander have to? He didn't want anything to do with this horrible man. He just wanted out. Out of the greenhouses. Out of this class. Out of his misery. Just out. With a small frown, he began to clean the area around his workstation, putting all his things in a bag. Then, slinging the bag onto his shoulders he walked towards Professor Horrible and handed the log over with the same small frown etched on his face.
So what if helping the plants had given him a glimmer of what he missed so much about the class? There was no way he'd ever enjoy herbology again as long as Walton still had the job that rightfully belonged to Beautiful Bentley. No way. And without a word, he walked out of the greenhouse with a small stomp. Ahem. Whoops. ?

Class was over already?
Lux was a little disappointed because she had rather liked playing doctor to the sick plants. She had to admit that even if she preferred Bentley to Walton, she DID enjoy his lessons and he was a good teacher. He was definitely growing on her. Haha. She was so funny because he worked with plants.
After gathering up her stuff, Lux said goodbye to her boyfriend and friends before handing in her plant log. "Thank you for the great lesson, Professor Walton. Have a nice day." And with a wave she was gone.

Zeke quickly scrawled his name across the top of his parchment, along with his House details, and bound to the exit. "Thanks Professor Walton!" he practically cheered as he handed over his plant log thing on his way out.

Hmm, apparently class was over. No more plants to care for, which Brooklyn was fine with. None of the other plants met her standards for her to bother to worry about them, and she might’ve thought she had better places to be. Other lessons, anyway. She’d already done her job in making Professor Walton like her, or at least respect her. There was still that weird feeling something amused him every time he greeted her, but she figured he was just kind of weird. That was okay, as long as he still respected her being at the very least a princess. She was a princess who wasn’t afraid of getting her hands dirty if it benefited her in some way, anyway. He ought to respect that.
His instruction had sort of sounded like an ultimatum, though, which made her stall. She didn’t do ultimatums, and he couldn’t keep her there even if he wanted to. After a few minutes, though, she gathered her things up and stuck them back into her bag, save the parchment she’d logged her plants on and the piece of wood she’d practiced the Severing Charm on. He could keep that too. She could find other things to slice if she wanted to practice more. Standing up again, she picked up her bag and the parchment, and walked over to where he was tapping his fingers on the table. “Here you go,” she said simply, handing him her log.
Afterward, she decided to tack on some more pleasantries. She wasn’t going to make him an enemy yet, not when he could still be useful. “Thank you for the lesson. The spells were fun.” Especially the Severing Charm. She still suspected the other charm wanted to defy her, but it wasn’t important now. Getting where she needed to go now was, and with a polite smile she headed for the door of the greenhouse to go back up to the castle.

Having already began to clean her things away Hady set her plant log aside so she could hand it to the Professor. This had been a fun class today she'd learned several charms and preformed them correctly and she'd taken care of needy plants. So she considered this to be a successful day so far.
As the class was dismissed Hadleigh grabbed her log sheet and walked to the front of the room. Waiting behind some of the others that had gotten there before her she checked over her parchment making sure it was readable. It was. She knew it was but she checked it anyway. Couldn't be to careful when giving something to a Professor for a grade.
When she got to the front she handed over the parchment with her plant log on it. "Thanks for an awesome lesson Professor I learned a lot." It was true she had and for this she wanted to make sure she thanked him for it.
