Nine o'clock in the morning the door to the fourth greenhouse is wide open. You enter to find that most of the plants are rearranged to make room for the newly placed medium-sized tables. On the tables you will find empty pots and name tags. There is room for up to four people to stand behind each table, all the tables face bigger table; the Professor's, where he's currently standing next to it with his arms crossed over his chest.
All you have to do is choose a table, stand behind it and you will find a small sign telling you to write your name on one of the name tags and stick it on your robes.

Following Kace into the herbology lesson he laughed for he was being really quite. intending on sneaking up on him and scaring him… well that was before he saw the professor… dudes arms were already crossed, thats all he needed was to get on this guys bad side, no way man. "hey professor" he said in his greeting as he caught up with his best mate, "Kace….wait up" he said as he was jogging. Catching his breath he followed him to the table that he was going to.. "excited yeah?"
Taking his friends lead he wrote down his name and then stuck it to his robes

It was hard to choose a spot, because there was Maddie and That Boy and then there was Kyroh and she really should find a spot and save it for Dima, but... there was her only Slytherin friend so far. Hady. Dot bounced over to that table, since today she was bouncy (it hardly ever happened).
"Hi." Greetings were good. They were properly friends now. She wrote out her name on the badge before sticking it to her robes. It wanted to stick to her gloves and her sleeve and a bit to her hair, but she eventually got it where she wanted it.

More people were arriving, and Adi got a friendly wave and smile. They needed to hang out soon, because they hadn't in a little while. Maybe she would be able to talk after class.
And there was Kace followed immediately by Bay. She was so happy to see them both, but especially her boyfriend who was blowing her a kiss which she immediately caught. Giggling, she blushed and wanted to give him a hug but wasn't sure if the Professor would allow it. He already was standing with his arms across his chest. Instead she gave Bay a wink. "Isn't this exciting? I missed Herbology." They hadn't been able to do much last term what with the ice and all.

YAYYY Herbology!
NOT.
Caleb was not a fan of the subject at all, but he was interested to see what this new professor was like. He had always liked Bentley and thought her lessons were sort of cool, but the actual WORK involved was always so dull and took foreverrrr. He just didn't get the fascination with plants. Not at all.
But he was still excited to see what the new guy had in store. Would he be like Bentley? Or totally different? Hmmm.
As he walked in and took his usual seat near the back, he saw others filling out nametags and followed suit.

Heather entered the greenhouse feeling........well, not that excited. Magical Plants were something that had never really interested her, beyond knowing what to avoid so that she didn't get bitten. Her parents had never had them around, for biting reasons, nor had her uncles, so it was also something that went way over her head. But, she was trying to help her house in the points race, so here she was.
And what was that about herding? "We aren't cattle, you know. And we're not herded anywhere. This is just when this class is and classes are what we're here for, you know that." At least, according to the traditional definition of school, anyway. Merlin, the head girl was getting on her nerves! "You should go to the nurse for that, before someone ends up bopping you on the head." Mmmmhmmm, still talking to you, Big Head Girl. Oh, and "Hello, professor."
Professor greeted, Heather sat at a table and followed the instructions on the board, having to write a little smaller due to her longer name. 'Heather Xanthopoulos'.

Samantha entered the greenhouse and said to the new Herbology professor, "Hello, Professor. I hope you're well." She then walked over to a table and grabbed out her quill and a name tag. Sam wrote her name on the name tag and then attached it to her robes.

Morning classes weren’t a problem for the fourth year. In fact, he actually looks forward to said classes because it’s that time of the day where he is most alert and stuff. Picking up his stuff and chucking it inside his bag, Ethan made his way to Greenhouse Four with an air or excitement and fear. He was excited to meet this Professor Andrew Walton, and scared because Herbology was one of his worst subjects. He just…don’t get plants sometimes.
Mustering up all the courage, he walked inside the designated room and gave the professor a polite nod. “Good morning, Professor Walton.” Ethan said with a grin, and shortly, scanned the area. Tables with four pots and four name tags each. It didn’t take long to spot Josie, so Ethan sauntered towards the Ravenclaw and gave her a grin. “Hey.” Ethan saw the nametag on her robe, and this made the boy look at the table and figured out immediately, on what to do. Of course, the Professor was new, so he’d be needing the help of name tags. Right, moving on…
Scribble.

Said name tag was then placed on his robe. Remember the name, ‘fessor.

Or maybe not. Heh.

Herbology without Bentley seemed... very, very strange already. Sophie couldn't even imagine how the older kids were feeling about the change.
The fourth year entered the greenhouse with a little bit of caution, half expecting the place to be overriden with flesh-eating plants or something of the sort - but, no, it seemed the new professor was perfectly capable of keeping everything in order. That was encouraging.
"Good morning, professor," Sophie greeted the man with a little salute, keen on starting out on a good foot with him - after all, Tobes had said the man seemed to be a nice enough guy, right? She shot her Hufflepuff a smile, and Maddie got one, too, since he was right by him. The temptation to instinctively flock to him was great, but... she would let him do his own thing again for this lesson, too, she decided.
Surveying the currently present students, she smiled at the sight of Josette - there was someone she didn't get to be with all that often. Even better that the girl was right beside Ethan. Choosing to stand on the other side of Josie from Ethan, Soph offered the pair a smile and a brief wave of her hand in greeting before setting her textbook, gloves, notebook, and self-inking quill on the tabletop and peering at the name tag. Ah, poor guy had the task of learning ALL the names of every student - the woes of being a newbie teacher, eh? Soph obliged to the man's wishes and sprawled out Sophie Brown on her name tag and delicately stuck it on her robes.
Oh Herbology, this was never Jonas' favorite subject. He preferred DADA. He looked ahead of his self. name tag...like people didn't notice him before. He shrugged and took the name tag. He wrote his name. Jonas
"Oh, Morning Professor," Jonas said remembering it like an after thought. His bad.

Zeke wasn't sure how he felt about this subject. The idea of working with plants seemed a little boring, unless they were allowed to play with the cool ones like the flesh eaters, or the ones that could set fire to things, or... y'know, if they were even remotely dangerous, then it might be cool. He wasn't fond of the idea of potting daisies though, so fingers crossed.
Entering through the open door, Zeke gazed about the greenhouse and slowly but surely meandered over to a table and claimed a standing spot behind it. No chairs?! Stools?! Nothing?! Boooooooo. The Professor though, he got a smile anyway. "Hi Professor." Yeah, hi!
And then there was the matter of his table mates, and that Ravenclaw dude was here! The war was still on, he would rise above the older student eventually... sooner or later. And Gryffindor would be VICTORIOUS!

He was still contemplating as he walked into greenhouse number four. He had just seen Maddie at breakfast but where had she-ah. She was there beside Toby.
Hm.
There was ROOM for him, but he had to CONCENTRATE in this class right? Maybe? Plants were hard. Anyways he couldn't sit next to his friends or anything.
Glancing around the rest of the room he noticed Zander, who 'course it would make SENSE to sit beside his sidekick since he had met the boy in Herbology and all, but Grayson and another girl were already beside him. Plus he was his friend TOO.
Turning to a table, Kyroh took a spot before following everyone else and writing his name down.
No last names EITHER cause hopefully that would force the man to actually call him by his first name unlike some of the other Professors.
Oh, also-"Hello Sir!" Respectful.
"Hi.... Kyroh," Zeke greeted politely as he spied the Ravenclaw's name. Seeeee, he could play nice, for now. "Is that like the Capital of Egypt?" he asked, wondering out loud. Sounded like it.
Zeke took to filling out his own name-tag bit too, and just as Kyroh had done, he only supplied his first name.

She had caught sight of Ethan the moment he entered the classroom, way before he had even taken notice of her. Josie could feel her heart beat quickening as she watched him & felt like she could almost collapse the moment his eyes met hers as he made his way over towards. A small smile was seen almost immediately on her face as he stood beside her & greeted her. "H-Hi.." Her smile grew a little more before looking back towards the Professor, but then her attention was brought to a familiar face from her house & former teammate! Sophie Brown!
Josie really admired the fourth year Eagle, did she know? She only wished she could be as cool as Sophie Brown some day. Not to mention confident, Merlin was she ever confident...and proud to be herself! Her eyes widened a little bit as Sophie was making her way towards...Josie? She couldn't help but feel really shocked when Sophie had chosen to stand on the other side of the third year. As Josie was waving back to Sophie, she couldn't help but notice how they hadn't gotten the chance to ever really speak to one another outside of Quidditch practice. Hmm, perhaps that might change?

The early morning hadn’t bothered Brooklyn, not when Tywin had tried to pounce on her head hours before class was supposed to start. She wasn’t able to sleep, and everyone else had headed out here anyway, so she’d found her way out to the greenhouses after stopping for breakfast. She wasn’t about to be late anyhow, but she could take her time. By the time she’d gotten out to where she needed to be, a lot of others were already there. Including the crazy head girl, still apparently convinced she was an evil fairytale fairy. Brooklyn had rolled her eyes at that, before seeing Hady and another Slytherin girl at a table and beelining for them. At least it was someone she knew.
“Good morning professor,” she said, halfway to the table and sending the man a polite smile, before she finally arrived and dropped her bag near her dormmate. She wouldn’t mind, would she? She wasn’t planning on moving anyway, and she knew her house was awesome. A group of them would be even awesomer.
“Hi Hady,” she said with another smile. Ulterior motives didn’t need to happen here, although she turned a curious look at the other girl. She sort of remembered her from the feast and classes, but she wasn’t in their dorm so she was curious. “Hi.” Person she couldn’t remember her name, until she saw the nametag. Okay. Dot. That should be easy to remember. Plus, it made her grab her own name tag to scribble on. Another professor who needed nametags.

Andrew was about to yawn. Where were the kids? Hm? Did they not see the announcement?
Not two minutes after his mind started supplying him with scenarios, someone's silhouette appeared. And it was Mister Tempus the prodigy no one else. "Good morning, Mister Tempus," Andrew replied, pleased that the boy was the first to show up.

Andy watched the heart-broken Gryffindor enter and stand behind a table silently. He appreciated the silently part, mind you. He heard from the boy more than necessary in their previous encounter. However, he did hope that the Gryffindor would be focusing on the lesson and NOT his unimportant feelings.

A tiny person entered then. Walton was about to ask what did the kid think she was doing?! But then remembered that there were tiny people at the school. He hoped they obeyed well. Didn't want to babysit. "Hello, to you, too," He nodded at the Ravenclaw.

Gryffindor alert. Andrew's focus was completely on the boy who just entered. Walton recognized the head girl the second she entered. Trouble ALERT. She surely wasn't glad about the fact that she got denied access to the dangerous greenhouses. And was THAT her way of getting back at him? HMM? Did she think that that would grant her access? She was so wrong. If anything it proved that she didn't qualify.
The man pursed his lips and tried to get a grip. "Miss Cambridge, remain quiet until the lesson starts," He just came up with this rule. He was the Professor, he could do that. HA! And he was going to ignore her comments. Did she show up to all lessons like that?

The Slytherin prefect, yeah? Andrew was curious to see the Slytherin house leaders for some reason. Since it was his old house probably. Oh, and the boy knew his name. The temptation to instinctively flock to him was great, but... she would let him do his own thing again for this lesson, too, she decided.
Ooh, a salute. Reminded him of his frenemy colleague, Flamsteed. He nodded at her because he didn't normally salute. Or even abnormally at that. "Good morning, miss." He replied.

Another Slytherin. "Good morning," He nodded at the boy who seemed to have just noticed him.

Alert. Gryffindor Alert. A tiny one but looks could be deceiving. So Andrew's eyes followed the boys' movements very closely. "Hello," He replied with his eyes fixed on him. NOT blinking. That until the boy stood behind a table. Good.

A tiny Slytherin came in next. So many tiny people. Hopefully their handwriting wasn't tiny as well because that would be a problem. "Good morning," he nodded at her. Lots of nodding today. His neck was going to ache tomorrow.
Andrew left the side of his table and walked over to stand next to the entrance. He'd wait a little longer for the late comers. Well, not really late. But those who liked to walk slowly here.
ooc: class hasn't started yet. I'll be waiting a few more hours. =)

Bending down and reaching into her bag which she'd set under the table near her feet and pulling out her gloves she pulled them onto her hands. She might need these today and if she didn't she could always remove them, it was that easy really.
Oh look someone was joining her at her table! Hady nodded her head slightly when Dot joined her. "Hello." She offered quietly to the girl glad that she wouldn't be alone at the table. Seeing Brooklyn walk through the door she smiled at her as she joined them as well. "Hi Brooklyn." She greeted her.
This should be interesting, a table full of Slytherin's. Well at least so far...they still had room at their table for one more person.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Herbology class with the new Professor. Kevin wondered how Zander would react now that the love of his life didn't teach this subject anymore heh. Speaking of him, he hadn't seen him anymore after he was taken away by Culloden for his detention and Kevin really wanted to know what on earth he had done to get hin mad and to earn a detention when he had done nothing. It was pretty cool, Gryffindor worthy in fact.
He saw the new Professor standing at the entrance, probably waiting for the last few students to enter. He COMPLETELY IGNORED the man as he walked passed him and found a table to stand behind. Mweh, he wanted to sit. He then wrote his name on the tag and pinned it on his red and black robe.
She wasn't late. Beverly Wayne was never later, buuut...she couldn't find one of her Converse shoes. Upside, she found her shoe AND Chomper under the bed -- she was going to have to teach the tiny monster not to steal her shoes and sleep in them. Downside, there was always one, she didn't have a proper breakfast, just toast and orange juice and...she was still hungry.
Welp, welp.
Coming to a sudden stop at the entrance where a tall professor-man stood, Beverly looked up at him with mildly wide eyes. Merlin. She had been so used to expecting Bentley.
"H-hi...professor." Cool, Wayne, where's the cool?! She straightened her robes and raised her chin. The guy was tall. "I'm Beverly Wayne, welcome to Hogwarts." Look at the badge, too. She wasn't used to adding the Prefect tittle to her name just yet.
Points for politeness, yes? Thank you. She walked over to Ruby and sat next to her, dropping her bag on the floor. "Did I miss anything?" She didn't mean herbology stuff, more like entertainment.

Gabriel had no real opinion about Herbology...but because there wouldn't be spells or many chances for much to go wrong (embarrassment wise), he went willingly enough. The best thing about it, from what he could see, was that the professor was a guy. Not a girl.
This school was teeming with the girl professors, Gabe was coming to realize. He was all the more stress because of it, too
Not seeing Ceorlic, Hugh, or Jeremiah...he found an empty table and STARED BESEECHINGLY around at anyone looking to sit. Did they SEE this face? Gabriel Banner wasn't having it today...

Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
Ceorlic peaked his head into the classroom knowing full well who he'd find standing beside what was the largest tabled in the room. A Scowl crossed his face as he entered the class and passed by the Man "Guid mornin, Professor...Tree Eejit" Ceorlic muttered the last part under his breathe as he moved to a Table with Gabe at it.
He would have to deal with this Overly-Sensitive Tree Climbing Hater Prof for this Class. The Scot moved past that thought quickly though not caring one bityou know a small ammount. supposidly like the Untruthful Sturdiness of Dunderheid's Tree. "Och Gabe! ye feelin okay?" The Gryffindor gave his Claw mate a pat on the back, and set his things down.
He followed this with writing out his name on his Sign.

"I'm. Fine." Why did everyone think something was wrong with him?.....Or had Ceo just asked to be polite? Gabriel scowled down at the table's surface, instantly reminded of his sister's intervention again.
He was grateful that his Gryffindor mate had sat with him, okay? Hopefully it'd keep him balanced out today. Like Jeremiah had in Potions. Small miracles, he needed one.
Glancing up to see Ceo writing his name out, Gabe quickly did the same...having forgotten a moment ago.

"How are you?" He tried to sound less severe, apologetic for how the other statement had sounded.

[FONT="Century Gothic"] WELL, nice of the Ravenclaw to finally acknowledge the huge man standing here. Her friends looked far more important to her than him. "Good day to you, too." He replied mechanically. Was it going to be a good one, though? He hoped so.

Eden was not the brightest crayon in the box--but she WAS in the box, and she didn't miss the look the professor had given her. OH DEAR. She was waiting for Connor to come sit with her and Layla--and she quickly swallowed, tried to dispel the blush painting her cheeks, and just...AHEM.
"How's your day, professor?"
Yep. Eden had done it. She didn't know WHAT had made her do it, but she had started conversation with a professor. And not just any one--a new, scary one. And handsome ugh."It's a lovely day outside--" since they were kind of outside, right? And why was she--why was she doing this again? She shot a TERRIFIED look at Layla and Connor--Merlin.
And that blush wouldn't go away...

Archie wasn't late! He'd just gotten lost on the way downstairs. And he had absolutely no idea how, since he'd visited the greenhouses yesterday to make sure he knew where he was going. He blamed the stairs. Slightly out of breath from running to catch up, the small first year rested his hands on his thighs, and tried to work out the classroom etiquette for herbology.
Ah, there was an Eden! Archie grinned, and headed over to his older Claw friend. "Mind if I join you?" he asked with a beamy smile. "Can't guarantee I'll be any good if I have to work with you, but I'll try my best."
Let your light shine || Be the sun || You're important. Always.
The professr had looked over at him, and Chance gave a head nod and another smile. He couldnt help it. He was excited. He said "Hey" to whoever was around him, because obviously he didnt really know anyone in class yet. He pursed his lips. It had been early getting to class but when you have a class like Herbology, you cant really complain too much.
"Come on class! Im ready!" Chance muttered to himself, his knees jumping up and down from excitement. First Herbology class of the year! What what!

She took out a SPARKLY BLUE inkpot, then wrote her name and stuck it to her robes.
All done, yeah?
"Hey!" Ruby brightened when Mari joined her. They hadn't hung out in a few days so she was all for the Hufflepuff prefect sitting with her.

Name tag, right.
In fact this whole winning prefects over thing was going swimmingly right? Ruby smiled at her dormmate.
"Nothing yet." Not that SHE had seen. Nope her eyes had been too glued to the professor.
Rawr. Y'know.

Herbology with Walton. And not Bentley. Was he a tree hugger too, though? What sort of person was Walton? Cutty hadn't seen much of him since the opening feast, which gave him the distinct impression that Walton was the geekish sort with a near obsessional love for his work. He tried to do research on him, but he found nothing that placed Walton in the famous category yet.
Entering the classroom he found the kids all lined up against the tables, four to each and name tagged. Oh, name tagged.
He took a place near Beverly and Ruby and suppressed the desire (with the help of his potion) to write the name Hugh Jassle on his name tag. Instead he wrote the actual, Cutty Mordaunt (no relation to Ethan?) before affixing it to robes.
Agatha was actually quite excited about this first Herbology lesson. Not only was there a new and very good looking professor, it was also one of her best subjects apart from the fact she couldn't do some of the spells, but well.
"Hello, professor." Agatha gave him a polite nod and smile. "Welcome to Hogwarts." ...Truth be told, she was only being THAT polite because he was VERY good looking.
Like, VERY.
