While the Lions' Den may be the focal point of the Gryffindor common room, all the real action happens over here in the game lounge. Sofas and bean bag chairs are strung about the room in a haphazard, but comfortable, manner and off to the left is a large table with enough chairs for eight people to sit. A shelf on the wall above the table is stocked with all sorts of games and activities for curious Gryffindors to utilize. To help the lions take home the Gobstones Cup, there is a Gobstones set to practice with. Just be sure to clean up any of the smelly goo that comes spurting out from the gobs. You can also find a wizards' chess set and Snitch Snatchers on the shelf. If games are not your style, on the opposite side of the room is a grand piano waiting and ready to have its ivories tickled for a sing-along.
While Snitch Snatchers is one way to get your quidditch fix, the real quidditch treat can be found in the middle of the room in the form of a modified muggle foosball table that has been made to look like a quidditch pitch. There are no knobs to move the players around, instead all you need is your wand and to tap one of the figures on the team you wish to control while saying 'GRYFFINROAR' and away you go! As long as you are holding your wand, all you need to do is order the little figures around. Be wary of the tiny golden snitch that will start zooming around on its own accord. The figures will not return to being inanimate until it is caught!
In the back of the lounge you will find a medium sized tray topped with soil, and spray bottles containing brown liquid beside it. It may seem strange, but this is the resting place of the Gryffindor Tower Lion topiary. The Topiary Lion moves around on his own accord, and is responsive to a pat or two. Just remember to spray his roots with fertilizer and water them occasionally when he's on his pan... or else he might wither and die. On the wall behind the topiary is a display case holding dozens of Dandy Lion flowers that will purr, roar softly, and paw at the air with their leaves when you get close.

Lex...didn't try hiding her surprize. Michael Toussaint had transfered to Durmstrang and never bothered to tell her he wouldn't be coming back?? Wow. WOW. An owl would need to be written, have Dax tell Mr. Toussaint how disgruntled by having to find out this way she was but she thought better of it. No note. None. She couldn't believe he'd leave without saying so. "Oh." She finally managed once she'd regained some composure. That was all she could say about that though, JUST 'oh'.
Took her a moment to come back to what Zahra said. Hating her with ease. Fancy. Lex accio-ed her squishy chair over and flopped in it again. "'Fraid I don't know." And not because she was being difficult either. "Not that it was ever a competition but you had Michael didn't you? And you never had to wonder if we were off snogging. I already told you ages ago I wasn't interested like that so....no, I really don't know how it is."
Or maybe she wasn't being fair about it. She wasn't trying to sit in Zahra's trousers to figure it out, it was purely from her standpoint and where she stood, she never liked anyone nearly enough, ever. "I might know, if I wasn't me." She added as a small afterthought. Lex was quite inept at such things.
Zahra wasn't going to spell it out to Lex. Besides, at this point, what did it matter? Mikey was stuck at Durmstrang for the year. She wasn't really surprised that Mikey hadn't told Lex - not because he didn't count Lex as a friend, but more... it was just hard to do. And maybe, like her, he'd thought that MAYBE his mother would have changed her mind over the summer.
"It doesn't matter who you are, or who I am, blah blah blah doesn't matter. The point is - he isn't here, I'm sad about it, and looking at you doesn't really make me feel any better." So there was that. "But congrats on that whole Head Girl thing. I know Mikey would have congratulated you and junk."

Oh this chair was magical! How had he forgotten about these?? "No. I just havent sat in one of these for years! ITs like..... heaven on my butt!" Chance said, his mouth twitching in a smile. "Imma make my bed one of these!" Chance told her.
Good taste? Chance had great taste! "I have great taste!" See? Told ya. "Besides, my eyes are kinda trained on spotting out the good people." Chance said, trying to act all serious like he was a professional person seer. But, he wasn't.... that he knew of anyways.
"Lets do this! Okay so the first challenge was...." Chance thought but the first challenge didn't come to his head. Turning in his bean bag, yay bean bag, he grabbed a note out of his back pocket. "Show your favorite place." Chance thought for a minute. He had many great places.
Considering that Hogwarts was a magical school, they sure did have lots of muggle items. AJ wasn't complaining though. The muggle items were a nice touch since she came from a non magical background. It felt like home. "It is heaven on your butt. I like how it forms a nice butt pillow for you." He got it. "Oh, I want a bean bag bed too." In case he was taking orders or anything.
He got a big smile. "You do." She laughed. He was most likely one of those people who would actually see stuff in Divination. AJ wasn't knocking it, she had just YET to see anything, that's all. "Professor Morgan will love you."
Once he agreed to be her big lion AJ was pumped. The lion waited while he searched for the info. "That's tough. There are so many awesome places here." Maybe she could narrow hers down while he took her to show off his favorite place. She leaped up. "So, where are you taking me?"

It wasn't like Zahra wasn't ACTIVELY trying to stop... moping... just sometimes...particularly here in the Gryffindor Tower, it got the best of her. Gryffindor wasn't the same without Mikey. "... you make it sound like I have a choice. No one asked my opinion, no one ever does, so ... I dunno. I'm not trying to be sad. It just... you wouldn't understand."
There had to be something else to talk about. Literally anything else. "Can I hold it?" the badge. It'd be the closest thing Zahra ever got to getting one, with how the Professors HATED ON HER.
"Close" he told her, a soft smile on his face. Piano playing was never something that came naturally to him so he could understand the issue that she was having, and considering she'd never played before more so. Looking down, he played it again, a lot slower than he had before.
"Well I'll keep an eye out for them, they're probably a lot better than anything I could do" he really sucked at drawing. Even stick figures. He couldn't even draw stick figures properly.
Gwen shrugged. She never really cared much for learning to play an instrument. So hey. No harm done. It would've been awesome to get it on the first try though. She watched as he demonstrated again though. So she figured she might as well try once more.
Gwen let her fingers slowly go over the keys. It sounded right...just at a very, very slow pace.
"I can show you one of my old books sometime...or the map I've started to doodle." He was a first year too. The map could come in handy.

"Sure thing." She unclipped it and tossed it lightly at her. "Got this First Year to polish it, kid seemed eager enough and wouldn't stop looking at me with doe-y eyes til they were happily wiping and shining." Whatever that was about.

He grinned at her as she got the scale right. She might not have seemed that impressed, given by the way that she was looking when she played it even slower than he had but hey, speed didn't really count. Leonard was just happy she got it, which might make her feel a bit more confident about the fact that they were sitting in front of a piano.
"Nice" he commented, still beaming at the girl.
Yup he was celebrating her success much more than she was, but oh well!
"Yeah that'd be cool! And you've started a map already? How far have you gotten?" That would probably be a good idea, and would probably save her from getting lost in the embarrassing way that Leo kept managing to.

Leo was incredibly happy that his own excitement was rubbing off on Gwen. It was always good to be excited by things that you'd accomplished, and if you weren't, why would you try them again? So being excited was amazing, and having her happy was also great!

Gwen nodded. "I planned on doing that too. Maybe follow the Head Girl to class or something. She seems nice enough. She helped me with my trunk on the train." She wasn't going to forget that anytime soon. Head Girl Lex was definitely going to get bugged for something at some point by the first year before the year was out.
"I can show it to you now. Just gotta run back to my dorm." She wouldn't mind.

"Help is much appreciated!" Chance said with the same smile. "I mean, Im pretty good, but a whole bed as a bean bag bed? A litle out of my lead." Ahh! Divination teacher! No wonder Chance didnt know the name. "Ahhh! Thats right! I hate that class which is why I probably didnt know. " Yea. Thats his story and he was sticking to it.
Chance was sailing through the air, a little rocky, but he was doing it! "Switch your wrist. Its a certain way you have to do it and really burst out with Leviosa." Chance said, trying to help a girl out.

Help make one?? Chance thought about it and then his smile grew on his face. Of course she could help! He wasnt super good at Transfiguration anyways. He was okay at it, knew the ropes, but producing those ropes into something as great as a bean bag bed?? Yea, he would need some help.
"Help is much appreciated!" Chance said with the same smile. "I mean, Im pretty good, but a whole bed as a bean bag bed? A litle out of my lead." Ahh! Divination teacher! No wonder Chance didnt know the name. "Ahhh! Thats right! I hate that class which is why I probably didnt know. " Yea. Thats his story and he was sticking to it.
Chance was sailing through the air, a little rocky, but he was doing it! "Switch your wrist. Its a certain way you have to do it and really burst out with Leviosa." Chance said, trying to help a girl out.
He seemed to be stoked about AJ offering her help, and she totally got that. Nobody wanted to do more work than they had to. No need to mention that she was rubbish with spells. He didn't need to know everything. Besides, she had been practicing more so there was a possibility of a break through.
"Cool." Happy helper here. "I'm sure between the two of us we can figure it out." If not, then she could consult her prefect of a boyfriend. He could do anything. "I don't know if I believe in all that crystal ball reading, but the professor is totally cool, and she always has snacks." You wouldn't hear any complaining from her. "Plus, you can't fail because you can just make stuff up." It was a beautiful thing.
She took note of his corrections, and tried it again. "Wingardium LEVIOSA" Swish and flick. She was rising. "I did it, I did it." She was floating in the air ON a bean bag chair. Life didn't get much better than this. AJ floated right over to where Chance was and bumped into him. She didn't waste any time.

Chance shrugged while in the air with his bean bag chair. "Divination has never been my strong suit and Ive always been rather bored in class. The snacks are awesome though." Chance said with a smile over his face as he hovered.
Then AJ was trying the spell again and the next thing she did was start flying. Chance grinned. "Youre a natural!" Chance said smiling. "Im surprised you didnt learn that spell. I feel like I learned that spell in my first year. But maybe I had learned it in my second year."
Grinning, Chance bumped back into Aj and went flying across the room. "Come on!"
The snacks were life. "You can make anything up and still pass. You can't ask for anything easier than that." You couldn't pull that off in the other classes, and those professors surely wouldn't appreciate that.
She was flying... on a bean bag. This was insane. No, this was awesome. "Thanks." A natural, AJ liked the sound of that. She shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not that good with spells." Plus, she honestly wasn't sure if she had used that spell before. Either way, she was in the air now and that was all that mattered.
A giggle escaped as Chance bumped into her. This was so much fun. Oh, were they going to fly over to his favorite spot in the castle? Because AJ was so down for that. "Lead the way."
Puck had followed Nimue and Kai as they circled the room twice, spinning, twirling, and soaring around the room. She really rather liked the two faeries and wondered what would have happened to them had she not told anyone. Biting her lip she thought she had lost them again even if she hadn’t, she still felt that way. “Where are you guys?”
She wondered as they flitted about around her. She didn’t see them for a while, not until the flash of pink dashed before her eyes. With a swift, soft movement she raised her hand to where the fairy was flitting about and watched as both Nimue and Kai would fly up and around her hand.
They would fly up, around, and down – the little ordeal took a little bit of time. After what seemed like five minutes of continuous flittering the little fairy landed on her hand. Carefully she placed them back into the jar before heading off.

Uh, had he not been chasing his fairies around the entire room, the Gryffindor would have definitely noticed the display case for the memorial they made. Beautiful Bentley's memorial to be exact. And no, contrary to popular belief-or well Zander's previous beliefs- memorials weren't actually only for the dead. They were just to remember really important people and Beautiful Bentley was and is and will always be a VERY important person. Just, right now there were other important things to attend to.
These important things being two very hyper fairies.
You'd think after being cooped up in a jar all day, they'd be tired and too lazy to fly around. WELL NOPE. They were as energized as ever. Which may have had to do with it being feeding time half an hour ago, BUT STILL!!!
So right, uh Zander was doing his best to avoid knocking down all the games around him. He just needed to catch these darn fairies. If only Ethan had been here, the two of them really did make quite a good fairy catching duo. But unfortunately no Slytherin's allowed in here. It was like a rule or something. Anyways, FAIRIES!
THEY WERE SO FAST, Merlin. And just as the thought crossed his mind-- FAIRY! He unscrewed the top of the jar as quickly as he could and woah. That was easy. Had it not seen the jar was right in front of it? Uh. No questions asked. Nope. At least he caught one. Now the other one wouldn't be as easy.
........... And a half hour later...........
Still no second fairy. It just kept flying around his head in mockery! NOT COOL FAIRY, NOT COOL!!! Angrily lifting his wand into the air, Zander cast the freezing charm and-- Woah. Had he really done that in one go? AWESOME! He scooped the little guy into his hands in stuffed him into the jar and well that was quite the workout. For both the fairies and Zander too.

What were the odds Snow White would be in the Game Lounge? Well why don't you ask the magic mirror that Lex didn't have? It usually had all the answers yeah? The bloody 'Queen' should have given them some if she really wanted them finding the imaginary girl that bothered her so much. Next time she tried spooking a Professor, she'd choose something that was a little easier to find in the event this was the outcome again.
Once again she held up the mirror, putting on a grand show as if she was checking it before catching the reflection of her kneazle on one of the game tables. What did he find so interesting about a game he most certainly didn't know how to play?
"You're meant to be helping me here." She reminded him but that didn't garner so much as a flick of his tail in her direction. Even he knew this was a farce. She'd trained him right.
Alexa meandered around the furniture set up around the game lounge, pretending that moving about and holding the mirror very high would produce better results.
Of course there was no such luck and she was ready to move on. "Still nothing. Let's go."

Angel decided that she wanted to play a game but unfortunately she was on her own and now she was totally bored... she just had to hope that Benny was totally on the same wavelength and decided that she would wait and see if he turned up... it would be cool if he was and then maybe she could find out what he was going to be doing this summer.
