| | |  Gobstones Preliminary Match: Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had its doors closed maintaining the heat against the snow and frosty winter. Its surfaces magically dusted by Professor Botros and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's first preliminary match.
The red and blue marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping.
Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again for potential updates and changes.

Rogers was running by the red stone as it rolled further and closer to the Jack Stone. Baines had to get his team's stone round an obstacle and right on track before he could catch up. "The points go to Gryffindor."

The blue stone still stuck a little behind with Baines trying his best to free it with the shooter, the red stone was still rolling further ahead with Rogers at its side with the shooter in his hand. "The points go to Gryffindor. A new round!"

Baines seemed to manage to get his team's stone back on track and though they were behind, he still gave it a kick forward. Rogers was at the bottom of the board, closing in on the Jack Stone.

The last kick was by Atreyu from Gryffindor and Baines from Ravenclaw, the red stone rolled right into the Jack Stone delivering the lions their smashing win. The scoreboard clinked declaring the end of the match.
Professor Botros started clapping to alert the small crowd, and spoke loudly. "Gryffindor wins with thirty-five points to thirteen. Congratulations, and good game Ravenclaw, Merlin know you tried well." He gave Baines, the young boy, the warmest smiles. "With today's results, Ravenclaw will meet Hufflepuff in the next match while Gryffindor will meet Slytherin for the championship and final match this term. Thank you all for attending, and please a round of applause to Mister Thornton Baines and Zeke Rogers for their consistent and fair playing." CLAPCLAPCLAPCLAP!
