| | |  Gobstones Preliminary Match: Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had its doors closed maintaining the heat against the snow and frosty winter. Its surfaces magically dusted by Professor Botros and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's first preliminary match.
The red and blue marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping.
Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again for potential updates and changes.

Another brilliant kick from both of the players, the red stone rolled further with no seemingly troubles and it was getting nearer to the Jack stone at the end of the board. Botros gestured for them to go for the last kick in this round.

There was Rogers going for his red stone as usual when the shooter SLIPPED from his hand and fell down to the board with a loud clatter. Baines, in the meantime, did a little better with his shot and sent the red stone a little closer. "The points go to Ravenclaw." Botros said with a smile and announced the start of a new round.

The match was in its fifth round with Gryffindor still in the lead. Rogers shot another good shoot sending his house's stone closer to the Jack Stone. Baines was showing valiant efforts to get his team's blue stone up and rolling again.
