Botros, as in professor Botros, was standing near the two game boards with his cane clutched with both his hands. He wasn't leaning on it much, thanks to the effective warm spells he threw about around the 'field'. After the confusing and rather hazy events of his last lesson, he'd been trying so hard to figure out what exactly were the consequence of his... actions. He remembered the good majestic feeling of being an ultimate authoritative figure (king definitely beats deputy, come on) but also he was a little weary of WHAT exactly resulted from his king-ish actions.

He heard and could see nothing terrible, so it was generally an extraordinary experience.

"Welcome to Gobstones second preliminary match. Gryffindor and Ravenclaw players please take your positions and get ready." He raised his hand signaling the start of the game.

First years Rogers and Baines took the shooters for the first round of today's game. The Gryffindor struck the red ruby right on spot sending it flying across the board, his Ravenclaw opponent wasn't so lucky and his shooter flew out of his hand. Oh the clumsiness of the claws.

"A point for Gryffindor." Botros tapped the score board and urged them to go on.

Still with Rogers and Baines for the next turn, and it seemed like Rogers got game with the shooter. The red ruby rolled further on the board, away from the lagging blue stone that was stuck on the edge with Baines trying to free it with his stick.

"Two points to Gryffindor."

Atreyu of Gryffindor and Brown of Ravenclaw took the next turn in the first round, and once again the red stone had more luck than the blue one, rolling further ahead. "Gryffindor's score six to none." Botros declared at the end of this first round.

Rogers was back with the shooter for Gryffindor while second year Ravenclaw, Penelope Wright, took the place for her house. Both players kicked the stones, the red one rolled swimmingly ahead while the blue stone had difficulty moving.

Rogers and Wright went at it again, the boy seemed more in control with his shooter and stones than his opponent. "Two points for Gryffindor." Botros announced.

Baines relieved his Ravenclaw friend and took the shot this time. Rogers' shot sent the red stone further, the distance between the red and blue gobs was widening. But don't fret, the game has only just begun!

The boys kick their stones once more. The blue stone rolled around an obstacle miraculously, still behind the red one but on its correct path. "The point goes for Gryffindor." With their never-stopping stone so far.
