The library was another favored place of Benny's, at least the bookish side of him that sometimes showed its face. So with a little free time on his hands, the Gryffindor decided to check things out there. Surely it would be on the quieter side since it was still very early in the school term. It might just give him a chance to look for anything new that might just catch his interest.

Decision made, the boy made a sudden move as he walked and detour down the fourth floor corridor. The move causing him to escape from the moving staircases before they could trap him and so he could remain were he was instead of heading further down them.

Angel was walking towards the Library when she suddenly saw Ben, well this was great after she talked to her sister though she had realised how confusing her actions must have been to Ben. "Hi Ben." Angel said as she walked over to him. "I want to apologise for my actions on the carriage and at start of term feast." Angel would have hated being ignored by a friend, though technically she hadn't ignored anyone just stayed away from everyone.

"I never got round to thanking you for the plant." Angel shifty her feet uncomfortably on the floor. "I really liked it and I'm going to take extra good care of it." Angel then remember what she had gotten Benny. "That reminds me this summer my Papa took us out and well I was looking around when something caught my eye and I had to buy it." Angel said truthfully.

Now for the moment of truth, Angel took the stuffed dragon out of her bag and help it out for Benny. "I got this for you." Angel hoped that he would like it. "I saw it and thought of you straight away." Angel looked at Ben nervously, was he going to like it or was he going to hate it.

"Hey," he returned, holding in place as she continued her way to his side. The older lion remained silent at first, letting her speak as she obviously had something to say to him. "Its okay..." he assured her. "I know..." Benny started to say as he bit the inside of his cheek before looking downwards, "I know I made things a little crazy this summer."

At the mention of his gift and her thanks, he managed to lift his gaze just a little. But it was as she continued that he gradually looked back up at her. He listened to what she was saying, curious to what she meant by all her words. However soon enough she was pulling something out of her bag and dispite its white coloring it wasn't hard to see what it was. A stuffed dragon holding a flower.

"It's cute," he said, taking the gift from her with a soft smile. "Thank you," he added, moving to give her a hug. It may have been just a little awkward but she deserved it as additional gratitude.

Angel looked at Ben and smiled. "I know I didn't help Benny." Angel really didn't think that she had helped anything by being moody and upset around them all. Now though she had no idea what was going on about everything that had happened, she hopped they were cool.

Angel smiled at Ben as he said that the thing was cute. "I'm glad you liked it." Angel said, she had been a little scared he would hate it. she was just about to say something when.

Okay so maybe they were equally at fault for the awkward behavior over the summer at least but then Angel had been the main cause for the trouble on the train and the carriage and at the feast. He had just been unsure of how to respond to her behavior and for the most part had just been himself. Quiet and shy and to himself. Until Ian and Abby had caused more trouble and he had stepped in to help.

Benny relaxed into the hug when he felt Angel return it, proof that he wasn't doing the wrong thing which was what he had been afraid. He didn't want anymore drama to exist in their lives or their relationship in anyway. "You are...a great girl yourself," he said, slowly pulling back from her after a while to gingerly break the hug. Cue awkward look away as he heard himself and was unsure where that came from.

"Um...so you know I like dragons," he said, looking tentatively back at her. "Any creature you like?" Yes...small talk...small talk might help him be less nervous.

Angel looked at Benny and smiled as he said that she was a great girl, she had no idea where that had come from, but she was starting to feel like she was doing a few things right because at least Benny was talking to her which was more than she had been expecting after the feast.

"Your amazing and handsome." Angel had no idea where it came from and then she looked at him and smiled. "Oh I love kittens." Angel shifted nervously on the back of her feet, she really had no idea what else to say or what to say to Ben so she just stood in silence.

Okay so not magical but an animal none the less and something that seemed fair that he knew since she knew his animal presence. Angel had actually been the only one they hadn't known. Dragon for him...hippogriff for Adi...Unicorn for AJ and now cats or kitties for Angel. "I'll keep that in mind." For future reference in case something came up where he needed the tidbit of information.

It was then that he registered what she had been saying before answering his question. Handsome? She thought he was handsome. He fought the urge to blush at the compliment, instead trying to focus on something else. Which wound up being Angel herself as she remained standing in front of him. Angel the girl he had kissed, albeit on the cheek, over the summer and wound up causing a whole bunch of feelings.

Swallowing as he had a thought, the fourth year leaned forward and lightly kissed her lips before pulling away and finally coloring around the ears.

Angel looked at Benny as he said something about keeping it in mind, she had no idea how she could help him and she was about to reply when.

"Great now Ben was going to think she didn't like it" Angel thought to herself, she knew she had to say something to keep Ben's spirit up. "I liked that Ben." Angel gave Benny a small smile. "You really are handsome and smart and a lovely guy." Angel just concentrated on Ben, she had no idea what to do or say next, way to silence a girl Ben.. she tried to figure out what he was thinking but she couldn't figure it out. so she just stood there waiting for Ben to speak.

Having left his bag and all his books in the library for a while, Toby was strolling around the fourth floor corridor, giving his legs some exercise. These days the need to run and bounce around all the time had definitely died down, but sitting down and studying for more than maybe a couple of hours was still in the realm of impossibilty. But he was getting better.

Toby had looped around the entire corridor a couple of times now, and knew he should probably go back into the study area to finish up some of those Arithmancy calculations while it was all still fresh in his head. That didn't stop him looping around again, though, with one hand shoved in his pocket and the other twirling the end of his school tie, appearing more or less lost in thought.

To say Benjamin Finnegan Atreyu had no clue as what to say or do next was a major understatement. He was totally a fish out of water crossing into unknown territory. Angel was the first girl he had kissed in anyway...the first one to make him feel---different---as was his choice of words in his minor confession of feelings over the summer. "I guess we do..." he mused, reaching an absent hand up to rub the back of his neck sheepishly. Two blushing lions to be found in the middle of the fourth floor corridor...yep...that was them.

Angel trudged further and the fourth year admittedly felt a sense of relief, however small and brief, at her words. She had liked it, and she wasn't going all silent and awkward like she had when he had kissed only her cheek. "I...I liked it too. " His main reason for pulling away had been the feeling of overstepping his bounds and ruining things. "If you say so..." Benny mused bashfully, unsure of the compliments as he was new to the concept of being called handsome.

Really? Him?!

But then she had doubted when he compared her to the beautiful flowers.

Yep...they really did match.

Angel was just staring down at the floor at the moment, she had a fight going on in her little head, one part of her was saying that boys had cootie and that she should be running away from Benny and washing for the next millennium but then there was the other part that was making her stay here, she actually had feelings for the guy... This was totally weird, she was twelve and she had feelings for a guy... this was not what she had expected to happen.

Angel looked back up as Ben spoke, she was still bright red. This was getting very awkward, very fast was there a joke she could tell to make the silence go away? Angel tried to rattle her brain to get a joke out but she had gone very quiet her brain seemed to be fighting with itself still.

Angel then listened to what Ben said, he had liked it too.. awesome now though here was the question did she kiss him back one part of her brain said yes the other was saying she was just twelve and well she had always been told boys were weird so why was she liking this boy.

Angel looked into Ben's eyes. "Yeah Ben I really say so." Angel said as she thought about everything that was going on at the minute, her brain was still fighting with itself, so she couldn't figure out what else to say. She just started to curl her hair with her finger, she was totally nervous about what to do or say next in the end she just stood looking into Benny's cute eyes... whilst playing with her hair...

Without thinking Angel suddenly said. "Can I just say what wonderful eyes you have Ben?" Angel leaned forwards and give him a small kiss on the cheek. "You seriously are the greatest guy in the whole world Ben." Angel was still fighting inside with her kid brain but well she seemed to be winning and hopefully Ben wouldn't mind the fact that she had kissed him on the cheek.

Okay so she was being all quiet again. Quiet and awkward and just staring at him. Unlike who she was, at least how she usually was. And it was making Benny uncomfortable and fearful again like he had been over the situation over the summer in Diagon Alley. Angel acting like this was what made him fearful of doing something wrong and going too far. He couldn't even connect it to the fact that she might be having the same sort of anxiety on her end and just as in shock and quiet as he got.

"You could..." he admitted even if to him they were just normal. And to be honest Benny had a hard time complimenting Angel's appearance since while he thought she was pretty, it felt weird to also compliment AJ. It was more than what he saw physically that was the reason he might feel...attracted to her and her alone. He almost stepped back as she leaned forward, inwardly yelling at himself as she simply kissed his cheek in return, his blush deepening slightly in reaction.

Okay so he really needed to calm down. To come down off of what happened without a negative reaction.

"Um...well this greatest guy was heading to the library...do you want to come with me?" It was better than just standing out randomly in the hall because it was a distraction.

Angel looked at Ben, she was feeling shy, but she didn't want to let this moment pass... maybe this would be the only time he was like this and if that was the case she wanted to see how he reacted... should she do it?

Without even thinking or anything, the next thing she knew was her lips were on Bens and she was kissing him.. suddenly realising what she had done, she stepped back wondering how Ben would respond.

"I'd love to come to the library." Angel said truthfully was the offer still on the table? or did Ben want some time to himself.

Benny didn't know how the suggestion would go over with the younger lion but there was no harm in asking....right. As he waited for an answer, the last thought that passed into his mind was whar Angel wound up doing. KISSING HIM ON THE LIPS! No small feat given he was taller then she was with their age difference.

Okay so now he knew what she likely felt when he took it upon himself to kiss her.

"Um...as much as I liked that.." he started as he slowly found his voice again. "...probably best to go to the library..." he said awkwardly, pointing in the direction of said place. Now things might be going too fast and he didn't want to have it turn into that teenage angst that had caused trouble at the opening feast. "Maybe get a head start on this years lessons...eh?" he suggested moving again. But before he was too far, he stopped and offered a hand to Angel.

No kissing....but maybe holding hands would be best for now.

Angel just looked at Ben, had he just said that he liked it? "I think that wold be best as well Ben." Angel blushed, seriously where had that come from and how had she managed to stand on her tip toes and kiss him on the lip, things you did when you were in love eh.

"I think that would be a grand idea." Angel thought about what else to say or do when Ben moved but then stopped and help out a hand for her which she took eagerly. "I can teach you all about muggle equipment if you want." Angel used a lot of them at home.

Unlike Toby, Gabriel was fleeing the library...and his feet couldn't seem to carry him fast enough. Which, as one could imagine, made him stumble and plow into the person seemingly entering.

Gabe flushed bright red, an apology already on his lips...If it was a girl....he was going to melt into the floor...

Luckily, it was not and he sat up, blinking at the.....Hufflepuff tie? "Uh.....uh.....S-sorry."

THAT had been unexpected. Just wandering along, minding your own business, and then... human bludger. But, y'know, Hogwarts. Stranger things have happened.

Toby had been knocked off his feet and hit the deck around the same time as the other kid, and he pushed himself into a sitting position, still pretty dazed, but not looking mad at all. Which was apparently GOOD, because he found himself face to face with the Ravenclaw that had fainted at the Sorting. Though, uh, he felt it best not to bring that up.

"It's okay, it's cool. No harm done," Toby smiled, taking note of the kids anxious sort of demeanor as he clambered back to his feet. Once up, he held out a hand to help the other kid up, if he needed it. Manners, and all. "You late for something?" 'Cause of the whole human bludger thing.

Was this a good place to read the letter she had been writing? It was pretty quite & wasn't that far from the library so it had to have been. The piece of parchment firmly in her hand, with her quill & ink in the other, the third year quickly made her way towards one of the benches in front of the window & quickly placed her bum down. Adjusting briefly, she made sure she was comfortable before she opened her parchment to read over what she had written thus far.

All she had seen at the very top of her parchment were too very interesting words that she couldn't repeat out loud, but it involved the name of a certain person who at the very thought of was making Josie's cheeks beginning to turn a light pink.

Caleb was just minding his own business, doing his usual "avoiding any area that was the Slytherin common room" as he had done this term. He still hadn't patched things up with Sophie yet, but he was also avoiding her, so was it really HER fault that they hadn't made up? Not really. It was kind of on HIM right?

Whatever. He was trying not to think about it.

As he walked by a Ravenclaw girl that he vaguely recognized from classes, he stopped and back peddled. She looked...like she was sick. Very very sick. Like she was feverish. After his terrible battle with the flu last year, he was NOT going to let other people fall victim to indescribable torment that flus and colds brought. Nope nope nope!

"Hey, you ok? You look...kind of sick," he said. Candor ftw, yeah?

Perhaps she should just stop writing this letter. Maybe it was just a stupid idea all around. A stupid idea that just might make her look like a bit of a fool; although honestly it wouldn't be the first time. Yes, she should just scrap this parchment & toss it away, right?

Wait, what was that?

Josie suddenly heard the sound of footsteps & froze looking down at her parchment pretending not to notice him. She briefly relaxed once that person had passed, but then suddenly felt her heart quickening when she noticed those feet were walking backwards & stopped in front of her.

She looked up slowly when this person; whom she discovered was a boy she recognized, was now speaking to her. And according to him, she looked sick? Her eyes widened a bit before swiftly bringing up her hands to her cheeks to notice that they felt warm. "O-Oh..I-I uh...I-I um...I-I don't know...D-Do I look sick?" She was suddenly beginning to wonder if she should go run to the hospital wing & see the Nurse.

Oops. Caleb hadn't meant to INSULT the poor girl or anything. He was just concerned because she was all...flush faced and stuff. If there was a bug going around and he caught it AGAIN he swore to Merlin...

He shook his head. "No, I mean, your face just looks...flushed is all. I'm a bit of a germaphobe, so I try to avoid sick people," he explained. Wow. Nope. He was not making this situation ANY better.

Well, that made sense at least with wanting to avoid sick people. But she really didn't think that she was sick, at least she hoped she wasn't.

Josie's face soon went from a soft pink, to more of a cherry red as he continued on. She wasn't sure why, but she was suddenly beginning to feel a little uncomfortable, not because of him, because of how her face had looked apparently. She wished she could make it stop.

"Um, I'm Caleb by the way. I recognize you from class," he added with a small smile. Yeah, just making small talk now, right? Not insulted anymore, were you Ravvie girl?

Josette couldn't help but stare at the boy a little bit as he apologized back to her which was then followed by the words he was concerned. Why would he have been so worried about that though? Although, it did make sense if he was a so called, 'germaphobe.' From what she'd read, germaphobes had an irrational fear of dirt and contamination. Honestly, she didn't have such a good liking to dirt either, but it wasn't to the point where she was so frantic to touch anything. Unless it was dangerous, that was a completely different story.

But anyways, the boy's name was Caleb & he had apparently recognized her from class. Josie couldn't help but nod & give a small smile in response to his own smile, which looked pretty nice..and friendly, from what she could make of it. "I-I'm Josie-uh, Josette.." Oh no, not the awkward silence. That couldn't happen. She cleared her throat, "U-Um..I believe I-I recognize you from class too...D-Don't you have a s-sister?"
