Still excited about the answer to her question, Lux decided to ask the crystal something else. This one she knew the answer to already, but she still wanted to ask because it made her happy. "Does Bay love me?" No surprise when the crystal began moving in a circle; she had known that he did for ages.

Pleased with herself, Lux didn't notice the cookies and brownies until Professor Cassie began discussing the final activity with them. Oooh, that sounded like a lot of fun! And there would be punch on top of food! She really was one of the best Professors and the fact that they could keep her crystals was super cool. It kind of reminded her of a magic eight ball. Now she needed to decide what form of scrying to use.

Thankfully she had given in her teddy bear. Relieved she fingered the necklace Bay gave her as well as the charm he had made for her. What if something had happened to them despite what Professor Cassie said? Just the thought of it made her sad.

Ugh, Caleb should have known when they had to bring a personal item that it would be used against him. His watch was now GONE. If he couldn't find it...he was not going to be happy. His dad had given him that for his birthday!

He decided to go with the crystal...because he didn't really feel like doing the whole reflection thing. It was too distracting trying to look through the reflection and look for other symbols when all he could see was himself.

He laid out the map of the castle and held the crystal up, clearing his throat. "Where is my watch?" he asked. The crystal began to spin after a few minutes, which he figured was a good sign...then it started to hover over the dungeons. That would make sense - if Morgan had sent it away, it would make sense to send his to his common room, which he could actually ACCESS as opposed to the other ones.

Well, it was a start! He grabbed his crystal and his map and headed over.

After a few moments of thought, Lux decided to go with the crystal. Not only was it already in her hand, but there was no relaxation and opening of the inner eye required. It was simply less mentally taxing and would probably yield the better results since it involved pointing to a location on the map.

Taking a map for herself, she spread it out over the table. Time to see if this actually worked or not. Fortunately if she didn't end up finding her teddy bear Professor Cassie would give it back. Not as if she hadn't trusted in the woman to do just that, but it was always reassuring to hear anyway. Holding the crystal over her map,L ux focused on the question she wanted to ask. "Where is my teddy bear?"

At first there was no movement, but then she could see the crystal starting to swing around. This was awesome, and she waited eagerly to see where it would end up being. After a few moments, the crystal settled on the library. Okay, now she had an idea of where to look.

Crystal in hand, she made her way out of the classroom. When she got to the library she would use the crystal to judge if she was hot or cold.

Huh? She hid their personal items? And... Personal meaning his sock. Wait. But he needed that sock!! His others had holes and he was reeeeaaaaalllyyyy starting to feel weird without one of them on. How the heck was he going to find one white sock in the entirety of the huge cast--

Oh wait.

The crystals. They had some sort of GPS contraption in them right? That's what Professor Morgan was talking about earlier, wasn't it? Something about it revealing hidden objects or something... Kind of like the yes or no thing but with locations? Okay. That shouldn't be too bad.

"Uh, hey crystal... Do you know where my sock is?" he tried, watching as it refused to budge. GAH. Okay so this was probably going to be a lot harder that the yes or no. Hm. "Where is my sock?" he tried again. This time, there was a little bit of movement... And it was coming from.... Near the... Towers? Uh, okay.

It was worth a shot... So gathering the rest of his belongings, and his map, the Gryffindor got up and started walking out of the classroom. To the towers he goes!

Benny continued to focus in his hanging crystal and his question hoping for some sort of answer to the latter. Some movement that gave a clue if he was going to have any luck in one of his harder subjects or not. Was that a circle? Nope...not really. Unless that was all he was going to get out of it. However as Professor Morgan called out and snapped to get their attention again, the fourth year gave it up.

Wait...what? Angel's dragon was missing...and he had to find it through Divination?

He was sunk, he really was. He had to find it...wherever it was. Maybe he should have used something a bit less special. But it was too late now. Ben wasn't even aware of the woman's assurances that their belongings would be returned no matter what, his mind already busy with trying to pick out his best option to find it.

Water bowl?...mirror?...crystal scrying with the map?

Well the first one didn't seem all that transportable so that was out for sure, leaving the mirror and crystal. Mirrors were involved in looking for 'Snow White.' Yet the inclusion of a map seemed it might be able to pinpoint a location better. In the end, Benny took the mirror he had been practicing with earlier in hand once more and took a map, placing it with the crystal in his pocket for now. The boy taking leave of the classroom as directed in search of his lost belonging.

Zhenya was pleased she was getting so many snaps this lesson. That was something she had learned during this lesson - she wasn't rubbish at it! Well woo-hoo! But… now she had bigger fish to fry.

Her book was missing!!

She took a rather dry throated gulp, trying to keep the hysteria from bubbling up. No, Professor Cassie had assured the class their items would be kept safe AND if they couldn't find them, they would be safely returned. Yes, that was all. Zhenya would use one method to find her book. But which method?

She had succeeded in using the mirror, although she was ever so slightly nervous about using it again. What if she saw something else from the past, rather than where her book was? No, she thought that perhaps she should leave that one alone. What about the water? Well, she hand't really given herself a good chance with the water because she was disheartened and frightened. So… the crystal. Well, she thought that was a simpler way of scrying, so she decided to use that method.

She went to get a map, and still holding the crystal from before, she held it over the map, asking "Is my book here?"
She moved it all around the map, working her way from top to bottom. It started circling on the fourth floor… that was the library! She smiled, thinking DUH! And set off towards the library...

Was he ready for fun? Was that a trick question???? Zeke watched Professor Cassie with great suspicion. Fun wasn't something he attributed to Professor's and class work... unless it was Professor Airey, that man couldn't help but he FUN.

..

And then the bottom of his stomach dropped out. DROPPED OUT.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

He had trusted her.

He had surrendered the only item that he always held close to him.

And SHE violated that trust, by hiding it!!!!

Temporary sure, but what if something happened to it in his and her absence? HUUUUHHHH? HUUUUUUUUH?! What if a student was playing hooky and found it, and took it, or broke it, or something. PEEVES! WHAT IF PEEVES GOT HIS HAND ON IT?!?!!?!

Zeke fell forward, thwacking his head on the edge of the table with a level of drama he thought he'd left at home. His life was over.

He didn't care about brownies or punch or stupid crystals... he wanted his pocket watch!!!!!

Ugh.

UUUGGHHH.

His Batman watch...gone. And he was supposed to go find it using one of the scrying methods. AWESOME! This was going to be so much fun! But only so if he could repeat his performance with the crystal. Yep, it was the crystal he was going for. It was the only method that had worked for him.

Adi grabbed one of the maps and brought it back to his desk. He held up the crystal and focused on the question in his head. "Where is my Batman watch? Where is my Batman watch?'' Intense focusing going on here. Hehe.

The Hufflepuff wanted to find the watch as soon as possible. Brownies and cookies awaited. Oh look! Slight movement from the Crystal...towards the Grounds. Cool! Now that he had a sense of where to begin his search, Adi cheerfully left the class.

How did she know that something like this would happen? Okay, so she didn't know that this exact thing would happen, but she figured something was up when you had to bring a personal item. It all just seemed fishy to her. Now her dad's pocket watch, that he had given her because she was totally his favorite, was missing.

Cookies, brownies, punch, AND a gift. Now this was more like it. Plus, the professor said that even if they didn't find it that their items wouldn't be lost forever. AJ would just hold her to that because if she lost her dad's pocket watch there would be a very unhappy lion of her hands. And you don't want to see her when she's angry.

What to choose? What to choose? Did it really matter when nothing worked for her? This was going to be a disappointing scavenger hunt, she could just feel it. The bowl of water was out of the question because the only thing THAT would accomplish would be here making a mess with the water. Crystal ball or the mirror was calling to her only because it made her giggle thinking about walking around with both trying to find something.

In the end she decided on the crystal ball for giggles alone. AJ went and grabbed her one. "Okay crystal ball, it's just you and me... where is my dad's pocket watch?" Did it work like that? AJ didn't feel any different, but she packed up her ball and headed out the class.

As soon as Eden asked her question, the crystal began to spin in an out of control kind of way--which, really, was a bit scary. The Ravenclaw didn't let go, though, and the crystal slowly began to get less crazy--and finally swung in a perfect circle.

Well.

What in Merlin's oversized baggy-tshirt did THAT mean? She had no clue. Was it a GOOD thing? Like answering her question in a GOOD way? She supposed she was taking it as such, and smirked as she let the crystal down on her desk. HMPH. She'd have to write to her Mam to tell her and ask what SHE thought. Because her muggle mother was SUUUUCH an expert on it and all. HEHE. Smiling, she went to replace her crystal as Professor Morgan began talking.

Oh Professor Cassie was too sneaky, hiding their things while they were distracted. Now they were charged with finding them. The thought that her necklace was missing filled Jasmine with panic. What if she couldn't find it? She would never forgive herself if it was lost. Then Professor Cassie assured them that they would get their belongings back one way or the other and that took the pressure off. First Jasmine had to devise a plan. How was she going to get her necklace back?

Jasmine thought about the situation for a moment. Were they meant to only use one method of scrying? She had been most successful with the bowl of water and the crystal, but which one should she choose? Finally she decided that she would use the crystal. She could get more specific information with that.

Jasmine went up and got a map and returned to her seat. Then she opened her map and held the crystal by the string, letting it dangle over the map. Concentrating hard, she asked the question. "Where is my necklace? Please tell me. It's very important." Waiting was the hardest part for Jasmine. She had absolutely no patience when it came to finding her necklace. Eventually, the crystal began to move. The crystal swung over a wide area so it wasn't exactly a precise answer. Jasmine did know that the answer was outside the castle so she packed up her things and left the classroom. She would hve to ask more questions once she got outside.

He heard what the professor said and apparently his sketchbook was somewhere in the castle. That shouldn't be too hard to find at all. I mean it could be anywhere. He shrugged and was gonna move through it. Now which method to use. Which one was he most comfortable with? He could use the mirror but that would probably be best because it can be portable. He wasn't gonna use the water because that would cause messes. He could use the crystal too because it was easy to carry. If he had to choose he would choose the crystal. He grinned and was happy with his decision.

He went to the front of the room and got his crystal. Once he had it and before he went on his wild goose chase for his sketchbook, he wanted to ask some questions. He wondered where it could be. He literally had NO idea. He began to think logically and asked, "Is my sketchbook on the Hogwarts grounds?" he asked being concentrated on that one question. He saw the crystal swinging back and forth indicating a no. Well that was good he didn't have to search the whole grounds. That was a plus. He began to ask it again and asked, "Is my sketchbook somewhere in the castle?" he asked and the crystal began to slowly circle around which meant a yes. He beamed and thought that was great.

He wondered where in the castle? He thought about possible locations. He wanted to go and see the library first. He got out of his seat and would meet back here once he found it.

LARRY! Norah's eyes widened as she listened to the instructions for the activity. She took Larry somewhere? But her lion! She needed him! Looking down at the crystal in her hand, narrowed her eyes at it with a determined nod. Bring it on, Crystal Thing. She had a lion to find.

Holding the string up, she asked "Is Larry in this room?" The crystal began to swing back and forth, indicating that the answer was no. Poop. That would have been much easier than looking around the whole castle.

Angel had brought a personal item with her... she had been wondering why she had needed to... she had brought the Dragon Keychain that Benny had brought for her... she listened to the Professor. "Professor you do know that in the muggle world taking without permission is theft and you can go to jail if someone calls the police on you... and then they come and take you to have a quiet chat with them." Angel was just being truthful with the Professor.

She grabbed a brownie and turned hearing someone speak. Chuckling she took a bite and chewed as she thought about what Angel has said. "Well good thing we aren't in the muggle world." She chuckled more, "Plus it's not stealing if it's a game and this is exactly what it is." She gave the girl an encouraging smile.

Taking another bite of her brownie she looked around the room. Some had left already while others were still hanging around. Well it was there time so if they wanted to take more time in the room she didn't have an issue with that. Checking her watch she decided she could clean up the room a bit while she waited.

The potion had properly evacuated the Gryffindor roughly around the time the Professor explained what had happened to everyone's possessions. Gone, somewhere on the grounds or in the castle but GONE. HOLY FRICKIN' KNEAZLE!!!!--Literally!!! You did NOT let Felix out by himself under any circumstances! It was just NOT a good idea and here it was being done.

She didn't care where the Professor banished the kneazle, she could already think of a few places he'd relocate himself to. This should have been said earlier, she'd have dug up something that DIDN'T move after you put it down to take to class.

Or for Merlin's sake!

Alexa threw all her belongings into her bag figuring when she got back there would be no more notes to be taken then tried to rationalize the whole thing having already forgotten about the crystal in her hand. What could would this do? She didn't have time to go talking to it when her kneazle was probably half way up to the Owlery by now!! Oh Merlin! Oh Merlin! Oh Merlin!

No time to waste, the Gryffindor grabbed a map and darted from the room.

They had to find their items? This looked like it would be fun. Maybe they could use the crystal and the map to find the snap cup after they found their items. "Professor Cassie, do you think we can find the snap cup with the crystals and maps?" She would have to try that later. It might actually work. Having the snap cup back would be good.

Penelope grabbed her crystal and map, ready to search for her item. Before attempting to look for her item using the crystal, she was going to investigate the fifth floor. She didn't know why, but she just had a good feeling about the fifth floor.

Zeke kept hold of his crystal and got himself a map to work with, it would surely be easier than trying to SEEEE things, or trying to search for them in general... and it was a shame he hadn't learned how to summon things yet. Cause, a summoning charm would still work, no?

Sigh.

Focusing all his attention on the map, crystal-on-string in hand, Zeke thought about his compass, and considered where it might be.

"Is my compass in the castle?" Zeke asked his crystal. Eyes on it intently. No response.

He needed to FOCUUUUSSSS!!!!

After a few deep breathes and visualising his compass, he tried again.

"Is my compass in the castle?"

This time the crystal started moving, in circles, smooth, very evident circles. Woooooot!

"Is my compass on or above level seven?" The crystal swayed from one direction to the next, but not in a circle. No. No it wasn't up this high.

"Is my compass on the sixth floor?" Nope, not there either.

"Is my compass on the fifth floor?" Nope.

"Is my compass on the fourth floor?" YES! The crystal was circling!!!!! YES!!!

Of course, he'd done all this without even using his map. Whooops?

Perhaps he should use his map, he still needed a precise location on the fourth floor...

With his crystal and map, Zeke waved to the Professor and decided to descent the tower to look about the fourth floor. He'd use the map once there. Who knows, it might give him a stronger connection to it if he used it at the approximate location.

Samantha grabbed a crystal and map as this form of scrying was something she had been interested in trying. She exited the classroom and headed for the Seventh Floor. She was determined to find her necklace.

WHAT.

IN THE.

FREAKING.

NAME OF MERLIN?!?!?!!!!?!?!?!!!!

Grayson was livid. Positively LIVID. That was his FAVOURITE piece of ornament and something his father had given to him after things in his old school had gotten rough and now, it was freaking GONE?! Sure, Professor Cassie said that it was somewhere in the castle or grounds and they had to scry to find it but the likelihood of THAT happening was close to zero.

In short, he was screwed.

The boy could hardly think properly as he sat there and tried to make a decision as to which method of scrying would be best for him. At the moment, getting up and trying to search the entire castle and grounds sounded like a task that was much more likely to be successful than using the crystal or the bowl of water or the mirror OR the crystal ball. Though, in fairness, the crystal had given him SOMETHING while the others hadn't.

Getting up from his seat, the Slytherin headed over to grab himself a map before heading back to his seat. If he was gonna do this, he was gonna do it right. No messing about.

Cinna was still a bit upset over the answer to her question. It only caused her to have more questions. Ugh. How was she not going to have a fun summer? Ah she knew what she was going to do. Pretend that the crystal said yes and moved in a circle. Yep that's what she was going to do. That way she wouldn't have to think about it or worry about it.

Turning her head and focusing on the lesson again. So they were doing one more activity. So that's why professor Cassie wanted them to bring a personal items. Oh scavenger hunt! She loves scavenger hunts and stuff like that. It was a good way to get her mind off of things. Her sketchbook though. She trusted Cassie with her precious sketchbook. It was one of her most important items to her. But still a scavenger hunt. This was going to me so much fun.

Now what was she going to use the crystal ball? Her eyes narrowed. Nooo, eh let's go back and think about this one other. The bowl? No. Absolutely NOT. The mirror? No she couldn't even get it to work. So that one she was going to pass on too. That left the crystal on the string. Liar. Upsitting her but it seem like the quickest and easiest way to find her sketchbook.

Only having an hour, the gryffindor grabbed a map and her crystal on a string and took off to find her precious.

Samantha re-entered the Divination Classroom with her cat necklace now fastened around her neck.



"Found my necklace, Professor," Sam said to her Divination teacher with a smile as she tapped her fingers on her necklace. She looked around.

"Erm..what do I do now?" Sam enquired.

Cuddling Teddy, Lux made her way back into the classroom with a smile on her face. "I found my teddy bear," she told Professor Cassie before grabbing a cookie, a brownie, and some punch. Now this was what she called a final. It was awesome like her last class with Culloden and her last class with Flamsteed.

Thinking about classes ending made her think of Bay leaving and that made her sad; she didn't want to be at Hogwarts without her Lion. Pout. Taking her seat she sat Teddy on the table before starting to eat. Wanting to distract herself from sad thoughts, she wondered if her friends would have any luck finding their possessions.

She was just the sweetiest thing, wasn't she? "That is just sooooo sweeet to think about my snapcup!! It is a thought, but let's focus on your item for now. Maybe once the class is over we could give it a try." Why hadn't she thought about it before. Looking at the crystal ball she thought about possibly taking a look while waiting.

As the hour moved on she glanced up seeing the first two back and she snapped to congratulate them! "Bravo... Bravo!! Wonderful job, both of you!" It was so exciting to see that they were getting scrying and could find their objects!!

Pulling out the cups she grinned, "Get some brownies or cookies and some punch! It's time to celebrate that you did it!! Great job!" This was so exciting!

Jasmine made it back to the classroom with a few minutes to spare. Clutching the ballerina around her neck, she went over to her seat and sat down. She was a little winded, but that was mostly because of the rushing and the stress of being separated from her most precious possession.

After a moment, Jasmine got up and went over to get some snacks. Taking her cookies and punch back to her seat, she could finally relax. She had learned that she could be successful in some forms of scrying and that made her smile. Now Jasmine had big plans for her little crystal and she still meant to give the crystal ball another try.
