Benny stopped as he heard Adi speak only somewhat relieved by the words expressed. His best friend's feelings towards him were only really half the battle going on. The rest was how he felt in his failure towards him and it kept him sick inside when he thought about it. "Doesn't help the anger at myself," he said quietly with a sigh.

As the Hufflepuff continued, Ben shook his head and finally looked at his friend. "She didn't...I froze," he admitted regrettably. "One minute "I'm moving to brew and the next its all over. And I failed you." That being said, his focus went down, down at the pseudo-desk and stashing his belongings. He was ashamed by what had happened.

Maddie wasn't feeling PARTICULARLY chatty today so the fact that Professor Romanos was no where in sight when she entered the room was a relief. The second year simply slipped by her classmates and settled down on a mat in the back of the room, eyes trained on the open windows. Too bad they couldn't have class OUTSIDE. It would definitely be a nice day for it.

It wasn't long before the professor entered the arena with a brisk pace, flipping through a collection of parchments for a moment before looking up to greet the students who had arrived so far. Which is when she suddenly slowed to an almost stop. Good Merlin, it was a bit bright in here.

Note to self. Cleaning products were a little strong.

"Good morning," she greeted, not focusing on one area for too long. Oh dear. Perhaps she'd shut the windows this time around. At least until the arena had some time to settle down after it's sudden scrub down. "Ve'll vait a few more minutes for the stragglers to show up."

Lalalalal... he wasn't a straggler. And he was super comfy on his mat. SO comfy in fact that he flopped himself onto his tummy, his legs bent at the knee kicking at the air casually. Could they start please? He was excited to see if they'd be learning to kick butt this lesson. He was keen on that, butt kicking.

BRING. IT. ON.

Kevin had entered the classroom right at the moment he heard the Professor's comment about waiting for any stragglers. Pft, he was no straggler, he was the cool kind for coming to class at the last second and still managing to not be late. And was it just him or did the room look especially bright today?

He didn't like it.

Nodding his head once as a sign of greeting towards the Professor , Kevin found a seat on a mat next to Zeke who he totally ignored.

Why was most of the classrooms on the first floor? It was bad enough that she kept making the efforts to go to class. And now she had to make the effort to go all the way down the staircase to class.

The sun was skill bright, yo.

Cinna squinted her eyes as she headed into the classroom. She wasn't late was she? Nope, good. "Nice day to have the blinds opened professor." She quickly took a seat at a desk.

Just in time too..... was she the last one? She sucessfully made herself the last person into class finally it happened.

Zhenya smiled at the Professor who wanted to wait a while longer. That was nice, waiting. Other Professors back in Russia would close and lock the doors. If you were late, it was after school detention to catch up!

She sat there waving back and saying hello to everyone who made some communication with her, very happy to have people there to call friends. This might just be the best year she'd have at Hogwarts!

She was here and in class in her seat right on time which made the fourth year Gryffindor very happy because she didn't think she was going to even be able to make it on time. Emmy didn't want to get house points taken away from her house. Emmylou looked over at Kace just before the professor started talking. She smiled at him and then put her direct attention to the professor. The fourth year was very excited to know what they would be learning today.

2 minutes...3 minutes...5 minutes...

After those few extra minutes, she checked her watch before taking out her wand and waving it towards the double doors of the arena. They slowly shut, with the tiniest of 'creeks' echoing throughout the room. Gunna have to recheck those gears again.

"Alrighty then," she said, taking a deep breath and sitting upon her mat lotus style. "Get comfy if you aren't already. Ve'll be moving later on, but first thing is first..."

"Can anyone tell me vot the silver shield spell is?"

Adi shook his head. "It happens.'' Gosh, he could not get the poor, broken Benny image out of his head. Not brewing that antidote meant he had done bad for the finals. Meh. "Don't worry about it.'' Because there was nothing Benny could do now.

Class was starting finally. Yay!

Comfy? Adi was already comfortable. Yup. Silver Shield Spell...they had had homework based on that spell, yes? What was the spell about again? Oh yeah! It was exactly as the name said.

Adi raised his hand. "It's a spell that produces a shield to protect the caster, Professor."

He was very comfy, yes, so this would be graaaannnddd.

When the doors closed, and the lesson was officially underway, Zeke placed ALL of his attention with Professor Romanos, cause, yeah, this was bound to be awesome. Indeed, he remembered the Silver Shield Spell from the homework task they did, and really, Adi answered the question well enough. With only one elbow to support himself, Zeke semi-raised his hand the best he could given his current position on the floor. "The conjured shield can protect from muggle and magical attacks," he added matter-of-factly.

More people were arriving and Lux was happy to see everyone. They all got waves. Hello, everyone!! Hehehe.

Professor Romanos was here now and it was time for them to get to business. The first question was about the silver shield spell and she could remember reading about it as a part of the homework. Raising her hand, she gave an answer. "It produces a physical shield that surrounds the castor and protects them from spells." Not particularly complicated.

Wohooo class was starting and as the professor closed the doors it was the big deal. He saw Emmy and he smiled towards her and he went to go over and sit by his girlfriend. He hadn't really seen her around Hogwarts too much and he wanted to spend time with her in the lesson today. He held her hand and squeezed it showing a little affection. Then he heard the Professor moving onto the lesson and he was gonna raise his hand but why bother repeating the answers right?

He shrugged and just listened intently while admiring Emmy of course. But then he might as well when it was used right? He raised his hand and said, "Professor I know it was used during the battle with Voldemort and Dumbledore way back when." He didn't know the EXACT date but at least he gave the event.

Did she seem extra happy? By nature she was normally a pretty happy go lucky girl, but she did seem a little cheerier than normal. Life was good. Her boyfriend was speaking to her again, and summer would be here soon which meant SUN and sports. "I'm just loving life." Because everything was perfect.

Then the professor came in and started the lesson. AJ ended her conversation and gave her full attention to the defense professor. Comfy? Well, maybe she could be a tad comfier. She kicked her legs out in front of her and leaned back on her elbows. Ahh, that was much better. Now for her question, AJ wasn't really sure, but there was something that came to her mind. She raised her hand. "Is that like a patronus charm? Doesn't it have sort of the same effect?"

Lex was already as comfortable as she figured she'd be getting so she didn't move when invited to get more comfy by the Professor. No point in it either if they'd be moving later on. Wouldn't take much out of her to stay this way and answer the questions as they came while she waited for what could possibly be an epic lesson given the nature of the question.

"It's a shield that blocks both physical and magical attacks." So that meant they could have been shooting paintballs at each other in the next 15 minutes or maybe the Professor would have them hurling chains across the class from that one chain conjuring spell. It would hurt like Merlin knows what if your shield didn't work but that was all a part of the learning process and in the real world no one waited for you to be a master before attacking.

Auror training was gonna be amazing. 'Nuff said.

Of course there was also the possibility of freezing the floor then skating into each other and needing shields, or casting incendio and hoping the shields held. So many possibilities!!

Was she bouncing? Only a little.

Silver shield charm. THAT had been on the homework; Toby remembered it well, which just went to show that homework could be pretty helpful. Which... was the whole idea. Yeah.

Anyway, Toby raised his hand.

"The spell creates a shield, rather than actually acting as one itself. And the shield it makes is actually really strong; it can deflect super powerful curses and stuff that could even totally blow up other objects you might try to use as shield, I guess," he offered, still so so cheerful.

Zhenya had been sitting with her legs stretched out in front of her, when the Professor had closed the door. Creek! That was a rather ominous sound… but she was sure they were safe.

She tried to make herself comfy by crossing her legs. That was a bit better. At least better posture for the lesson, anyway. Silver shield spell? She had never really learned about it, but she raised her hand anyway, "Professor the silver shield spell is a spell which produces a silver shield to protect the user from some kind of attack."

Well Zander's first guess was a shield... 'Cause you know the Silver Shield Charm? Sounded more like a defensive charm than anything else. So yup. He knew what it was sort of. Except he wasn't going to raise his hand to answer because he still felt kind of weird doing anything in this class. But he did listen to everyone else... And he did try to take notes as well, because being a good student right here mhm.

And trying to be less biased like Lottie said. See?

When Romanos joined them, the woman got suspicious looks - was she okay? There... wasn't a particular life-threatening reason for her tardiness? That was good, Sophie supposed, but it still made the Ravenclaw a little uneasy. She just didn't trust anyone in a classroom setting without adult supervision, except just Tobes, who she knew wouldn't hurt a fly even if attacked first.

The SILVER SHIELD SPELL, though. Everyone should have known what that was, really, if they had done their previous homework assignment, and Soph was unsurprised that many were very eager to answer and offered up a suitable analysis of it right away.

There wasn't a whole lot more to add than what everyone else had already said, of course, except maybe that SHE thought it was way cooler than Protego because it produced an actua PHYSICAL shield that could protect from magical AND physical attacks, buuuut... she wasn't going to say that aloud. She didn't feel like there was a great need for her to voice her opinion this time around. Hehe.

Penelope had been stretching before class, but she sat up, lotus style like Professor Romanos, when class started. Silver shield spell. She had read about that for homework. Oooh, were they going to learn the silver shield spell? That could be very useful. Useful for stuff like astronomy lessons. It sounded like other people were already explaining the silver shield spell, so she got out parchment and a quill to take notes.

Angel looked at the Professor and smiled as she raised her hand. "It produces a shield that will protect you from most spells." Angel wasn't sure that it could protect you from all the spells but she knew it could protect you from the basic spells at least.

After waiting a few moments for more students to arrive, Professor Romanos started class. She didn't waste any time though, because she threw out the first question right away. Even though many of her classmates had given an answer, Jasmine decided to add her thoughts.

Raising her hand, Jasmine answered the question. "When you use the Silver Shield spell, you create an actual silver shield. It blocks blocks spells, even rather powerful ones and protects the person who casts it."

As class was about to start Emmylou drew her attention on the professor. This was where they would figure out what they would be learning today. The fourth year lioness beamed. She didn't know why she was so happy about defense against the dark arts class today but she was and she was going to give it her best shot! Oooh! She knew this one! Emmylou raised her hand and waved it slightly. She didn't want to seem like a know-it-all so she took the smile off of her face and just kept her hand up in the air. "Professor, the silver shield spell is a spell that can conjure up a silver shield so it can protect the witch or wizard that conjured it." She was pretty positive that she was somewhat right about the answer.

Gabriel didn't understand yoga....So, in order to just take notes (sans yoga), he acted as though writing was taking a great deal of effort and focus.....It would have been difficult to attempt both, anyway. Even if it was just a sitting position....

As it were, he was doing a bunch of writing....as Gabes did. Prepping his notes and jotting down an answer to the first question. He borrowed Toby's for this....because the answer was complete and to the point; a good accompaniment to his notes.

.......Was there really anything to add? Gabe didn't think so...

Making himself comfortable on the mat he was sitting on, Kevin had been trying not to look at the bright floor too long and he was glad that after the few extra minutes she gave the students to arrive that she had started the lesson.
