Emmylou looked around for Kace. Where was he? He had to be here? The fourth year didn't want to sit or stand alone because the she couldn't play off of her friends when the lesson was going on. Well she could play off of other people and generate answers from other people but if she didn't know the person then what was the point? Emmylou noticed her boyfriend not that far away. She walked over to Kace and gave him a hug. "Hello." Was that even appropriate during class? Well class hadn't started yet so it had to be okay. Not that long after Lux had made her way over and the Gryffindor smiled. "Hey." she replied back to her best friend.

Marigold didn't get lost, which was nice, but when she arrived there were a lot of people already there. She scanned the student to see who was giggling so much, but didn't seem to find the source of the laughter. Did that mean that the creatures today giggled? This peaked Marigold's interest and she smiled and nodded to Thompson. "Hi, professor."

She took herself to a random seat, next to not any of her friends. She had been thinking a lot about this class over the summer...

...and had some ideas.

CREATURE CLASS WITH PROFESSOR T!

Zahra. Was. Stoked. She hadn't been this happy all term, not even in History which was a PRETTY COOL class.

"HEY PROFESSOR T!" HIGH FIVE! She found a seat near HIM, Professor T. "What's on the agenda today, you reckon? You gotta plan or are we just winging it?" Didn't matter to Z either way, she was simply happy to be in this class.

...had she ever told Professor T about her pig? DID HE WANT TO HEAR ABOUT PIG NOW? She eyed the Professor with a HUGE GLINTY GLEAMY GRIN. He was her favorite.

Jasmine made the trek down to Care of Magical Creatures class. She was looking forward to class today and working with the animals. She wondered what their task would be and amused herself by trying to guess.

When Jasmine finally arrived she looked down and checked her watch. It seemed like most of the students were already there. Spotting the Professor, she greeted him. "Hello Professor Thompson", Jasmine said cheerfully. Then she took a moment to look around for her friends. Class should be starting soon and she was ready.

Following the signs to a grove, Aladdin was extremely freaked out about what was happening here. Aladdin didn't know any magic! Other than practically how to work a magic carpet, and magic dealing with Genie's, but that was simple stuff! He didn't know anything about 'magical creatures'! How on earth would he be able to survive this class?! Trying to keep all of his fear back he sat down at a bench and greeted the person who seemed to be in charge. "Hello...Professor." That's what all the other kids seemed to be saying at least.

That's when...he layed his eyes on her! It was Jasmine! Aladdin couldn't believe it! At last he found his Princess! Quickly getting up again, he rushed over to her and gave her a big hug! "Jasmine! I finally found you! It's me! Aladdin!" She looked exactly like he remembered! Wearing Royal Blue, and had the silkiest of skin in the world! "At last I found you again! I will protect you from Jafar if he shows up here!" Aladdin told her in a protective voice.

Another class outside. Brooklyn didn’t really mind being outside, but she knew her kitten sort of got mad at her for going outside and not bringing him. It wasn’t her fault she didn’t think Tywin would be welcome in Creatures class. Part of her looked t it as a safety thing, since she was hoping they’d be learning about something awesome and maybe dangerous. That would be cool. Not to mention she sort of hoped the crazy had disappeared and people were acting normal. She still hadn’t had to talk back to any of the people who thought they were fairy tale people since the head girl in History of Magic, and she didn’t really want to. It was a waste of her time.

The sort-of-maze was kind of cool, as she followed the signs toward, hopefully, the class. This would be awesome if it stayed here, so she could wander around in it later on. Maybe even if it snowed, since that would make it that much more interesting. She’d just have to ask later on, once she’d made sure this professor liked her too. “Hello Professor,” she said, giving the man a smile and a half-curtsy, before she looked around at everyone else who had arrived. Ignoring her housemate who obviously was still crazy, rambling to the Claw prefect about Jafar and all sorts of storybook stuff. Obviously people were still crazy, but as she found Hady, she made a beeline for her. She wasn’t crazy, and seeing as she hadn’t found Ethan, her friend would have to do.

Zommmmggggggggggg.... it was CoMC time! And this was one lesson he was absolutely dying to tell Ashley and Avery about.

He didn't have a clue where they might be going as signs directed them away from the barns and stuff, but he didn't thonk much of it either. Upon arrival to the clearing though, his eyes widened. Cool beans. This was totes an Avery sort of place.

"Hi Professor," he greeted as he passed to occupy a spot on a bench.

Giggling? Who was giggling?

Picking her way through the hedges, Norah gave a small smile and wave to Professor Flamsteed, before noticing his clothes and breaking into a huge grin. "Cool scarf, sir!" It was a cool scarf. She should get herself one 'a those. It WAS going to keep getting colder, which was a better excuse than just looking rad. Shrug.

Eyeing the students who were already seated, the Hufflepuff noticed an empty seat next to a familiar firstie and set off in her direction. Plopping herself down next to Hady, she said a quick "Hey!" before turning to face Professor Thompson. .......was that giggling?

Layla wasn’t the biggest animal lover in the world. She had her Munchkin kitten Dinah and her brother had a hairless Sphynx cat as she was growing up but she never really had an assortment of pets. Cats seemed to be her family’s thing and it had never changed.

With that in mind the Blonde wasn’t that excited about going to a care of magical class. She was willing to try and it might be exciting seeing the difference between magical animals and normal animals and all that but she wasn’t sure that she’d be very interested as she walked into the classroom.

Until she saw the Professor..

Oh HELLO.

Cue the smile that fell upon the Ravenclaws face. She was willing to sit through a boring lesson and be forced to pet strange creatures if she could stare at his face the entire time. Oh yes, she would stay. The fifteen-year-old found her way to an empty table out in the grounds as everyone seemed to be sat with someone else. She was gonna sit with David but his bench was occupied so this completely empty one was perfectly alright with her.

“Hi Professor” the Blonde added remembering that she hadn’t greeted him straight away considering she was far too distracted.

She had heard the faint giggling as she approached but had chosen to ignore it, mostly for the fact she assumed that it was probably the Professor’s fangirls and if she wasn’t so straight faced she wouldn’t have blamed them. But giggling was immature and Layla didn’t do that sort of thing.

Jasmine was waiting for class to begin, lost in thought, when she was bum rushed by a younger student. Momentarily startled, she stared at him as he wrapped her in a hug. OK, he knew her name........and he was Aladdin, ha ha.......like she'd never heard that one before. Jasmine decided to play along with the game.

"Yes Aladdin it's me, Jasmine. Where have you been? I was worried about you." She'd see how long he would keep this going. Surely it would start to wear thin soon. Jasmine recognized the boy from classes, but she didn't really know him. She wondered what this performance was all about. This wasn't History of Magic after all.

As Kace was sitting down, he noticed his girlfriend made it to the lesson. He got up from his seat and noticed she was walking over to him. Perfect timing. He hugged her as she hugged him. "Hey Emmy.." he kissed her on the cheek for a little affection and took her hand and made her sit by him. "Wonder what we will be learning today?" he asked his cute girlfriend.

Rumplestiltskin had no idea WHY he was at this lesson. He didn't think he'd be using creatures to help him find the power of the Dark One hiding in this castle...but he wasn't going to leave any stone unturned. So here he was. It was cold, which Rumple didn't like. It made him want to stomp up and down in annoyance but he refrained. He was trying to BLEND IN here!

Speaking of blending in...there was that boy, the one from the snake house. The one who was hunting for a genie. It was about time he ran into him again - Rumple might need him! Of course, he wasn't going to be able to concentrate if that boy kept babbling ON AND ON like he was right now. It was embarrassing.

"Oi! Boy!" Rumple snapped, grabbing his arm and pulling him aside. "If you want to find the lamp, you have to stop making such a scene everywhere you go! Do you want people to catch on to our plan?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. He only hoped the boy was naive enough to listen to him.

Aladdin let go of his hug and held onto her hands with joy. "I would've found you sooner if I could have found Genie, or gotten a magic carpet to work. Whatever you do, don't try one of them. I've tried almost all the ones in the castle, and they all are defective! Also apparently monkeys aren't allowed here! So what does that mean for my monkey, Abu!" She should be able to answer his questions. After all, she was a princess, so she could probably get some rules changed for him.

Aladdin was about to embrace Jasmine, but that's when he got pulled away from her by someone who's voice seemed oddly familiar.



Looking behind him to see who the person pulling him away, Aladdin noticed that it was the man he made a deal with earlier to find his Genie Lamp. In a whispered and angered voice he asked "What do you want!? And keep it down! Also why should I listen to you? How will this affect our plans? I've already gotten a lead on where the lamp might be." If it wasn't obvious, the way this man seemed and how he made the deal so fast, he was a conman of some sorts. Giving no name was another dead give away.

Using the deal against the conman Aladdin whispered into his ear "Listen buddy, if you want my first born child you'll let me speak with her because she might be the mother of this first born child. We clear?" As he was speaking his tone got more and more serious, and it definitely showed who the true Aladdin was. The true Aladdin was thief and a conman himself. As people say...

You can't con a conman.

Jasmine was mildly amused by this little encounter.........at first. Then Aladdin started to go on and on about flying carpets and monkeys. What? It was funny for a moment, but enough was enough. Class would be starting soon. Something in the way he looked made Jasmine think that the boy might not be kidding. "I'm Jasmine, but what's your real name?", she asked. Before she could get an answer, he walked away with another student and entered into a whispered conversation.

Jasmine couldn't make out much of what they were saying, but she did hear lamp and first born. Was she being punked? Had one of her friends thought this would be funny and gotten these two involved in the plan? Had everyone at Hogwarts jumped on the crazy train with Lex? What was going on around here?

Eden was the most excited for this class. She finally had in her head what she wanted to focus on in her life--and she was sure it was magical creatures. Or any creatures that needed help, really. She bounded outside in the best of moods, skipping, practically, and found her way to the grove JUUUUSt fine.

There was Kevin. Eden SMILED at the younger boy and plopped down RIGHT next to him. She spotted Layla, too, but she just waved at her and patted the spot next to her in case the blonde wanted to sit by them.

Oh, Kevin.

"So, kyle--" she grinned devilishly because she knew EXACTLY what she was doing. "How's it going?" she asked, eyebrows raised, and her blue eyes focused on him...This class was now going to be amazing. Hopefully Kevin Kyle just looooooved sitting next to her. "Thank Merlin i'm not...permanently hurt or anything--" Due to HIS LIES. But she didn't say that. She just smiled all innocently and tilted her head slightly.

But she was mostly messing with him. Eden could never be MEAN to someone. Plus she kind of liked Kevin. He was funny...and mean, but funny.

Oh. Professor. She waved at the professor and made a mental note to go see him SOON. For FUTUE reasons and stuff. "Hi, Professor!" she said and she smiled.

What? Where did that come from? Huh? BOYFRIEND sneak attack! Emmylou giggled and blushed because people were around and she still felt very odd with public displays of affection. Hugging was alright though. The Gryffindor sat down right beside her amazing boyfriend. "I dunno but I think it's gonna be fun because of creatures and stuff." She sounded silly but she was just really happy about sitting next to her boyfriend and she was in her tied first place class.

Samantha made her way to the clearing where the lesson was being held. She had in her bag her gloves for the lesson and a jar. She smiled at Professor Thompson and said, "Hello, Professor!"

Waiting until the last few students arrived through the hedges, his watch dictating that it was about time to start now. "Good day and welcome everyone." Making sure he gather everyone's attention before continuing, "Now before we go deeper in, who can name me some items collected from magical creatures that can be used to our own benefits?" Any takers?

He threw his hand up in the air, bouncing where he sat 'cause WHY NOT.

"Griffin claws!" he supplied, waggling his fingers as though he was waving, though it was more like a sort of instinctual fidget. "The claws of griffins." In case that wasn't clear and someone thought he was talking about a Ravenclaw/Gryffindor hybrid. "They're used in wands. My wand has a griffin claw in it." Just FYI.

Samantha's hand immediately shot up. "Unicorn horn can be used in potions such as the Antidote to Common Poisons."

What an eeeeeeeeeeasy question. Soph grinned broadly, held the jar in her lap with one hand, and stuck her other hand high in the air. Though there were a TON of things, one answer came to mind straight away, correlating with BOTH of her anticipated career paths.

"Unicorn hair, sir. Rare, but useful for all sorts of things - namely wand cores," because duh aspiring wandmaker, "AND it can be an ingredient used in potions," because duh also an aspiring potioneer. And they'd even just used it in the hate potion they had brewed in their first potions class of the term.

Beautiful answer, wasn't it?

Ooooh Zander actually knew the answer to this one! Well, one answer to this one. Actually it had a lot of answers didn't it? Like potions stuff and wand stuff... And there were probably some weird wizards who liked to eat unicorns or something, but he wouldn't bring that up because weird.

But hm. Thinking.

He wanted to be original with this one. 'Cause despite anyone's suspicious Zander did actually read TWO informational books over the summer (not counting superhero comics because he read like five hundred of those). And one just so happened to be Magical Beasts and Where to Find Them. That and Magical Water Plants of the Mediterranean 'cause you know ahem. Not thinking about it. La la la. Not thinking about her.

"Salamander blood!" heheeee he remembered that one because salamander was so much fun to say. "I think I remember reading that it has the ability to cure or something?" That was helpful. Right?

Ha. This professor knew her name without needing a nametag or anything. As far as Brooklyn was concerned, that was already a victory. Especially since she knew that she hadn’t done anything for this professor to know her name in a bad way. That meant her goal was even closer to coming true, and she was only going to work to keep that true. There wasn’t anything she wanted to get away with yet anyway. Anything now was just planning for later, and the question that had been posed to everyone wasn’t hard either. There were lots of animal things that were useful. There were lots of animals that were just useful by themselves, without being taken apart.

Of course people had jumped on wand cores and unicorns first off. Those were the obvious answers, and her wand core was cooler than unicorn hair or griffin claw. Which, honestly, sounded like people just got the Hogwarts houses confused. Did griffins actually have claws anyway? She didn’t know, but she definitely knew of something really useful. Something really useful and awesome, even when it came to her favorite books.

“Dragon’s blood,” she called out, raising her hand high so it wasn’t missed. Being tiny was a disadvantage there, but she could speak up if she had to. Plus, there still wasn’t even any reason to act like anyone was being stupid. As long as they stayed away from her, she was going to focus on making the professor know she was paying attention.

Sitting beside a familiar face named Zeke, the third year was very curious to find out what that giggling noise was she was hearing. Of course, patience had to play a factor, because surely the Professor would be telling them what it was right very soon perhaps, right?

Hearing the first question asked, she raised her hand almost instantly waiting to be picked on. "U-Um, there's the feather of the J-Jobberknoll..That is u-used in Truth S-Serums & M-Memory Potions.." She recently found this out when she had been doing some reading in her Potions book after the incident when she had tripped & tumbled in History of Magic, seeing as to how she was rushing because she was almost late for class. So she figured that perhaps a Memory Potion might be able to help her remember when she had class & not be late. So, yes, Jobberknoll feathers were used in Memory Potions.

Following in behind Agatha was Cutty, magicking her books which he let fall to the surface of her desk with a loud tap when he slithered over to a seat of his own chosing without regard to where Happygoody landed. Ever out for his own best interests.



Caleb was the smarter twin.



"Probably dung, Professor." He said, looking a BIT TOO EAGER. He'd long wondered about this ever since he'd seen the augurey poop so casual like on it's little perch during that one lesson. Poop. Magical poop. Actually, dragon dung was used in Herbology, so why not other types.
