It was a good thing that the Astronomy Tower and his common room were so close together, otherwise Kyroh wasn't sure he would make the trek up to class. He'd just stay in the common room dreaming about stars and whatnot. But shh don't tell his parents. Or Flamsteed, yeah not him either.

Slipping into the class Kyroh grabbed the lint roller and ran it over his arms, then paused and ran it over his upper lip as well. He had to keep his mustache area lint free after all. "Hullo Professor!" He waved at the man before stopping right in his tracks.

COMIC BOOK? Squinting to read the tittle he quickly understood. "Are you reading that to boldly go where no man has gone before sir? 'Cause other guys may have read it." He paused. "Women too." Just saying. Plopping down at the first seat he spotting - which just so happened to be next to the Headgirl herself - Kyroh wiggled his fingers at his friends. HI MADDIE AND ZANDER AND TOBY AND DANTE AND MAGDALENA (she was his friend right? If not she still got a wave)

Norah skipped excitedly into the classroom, excited for the lesson. Astronomy lessons had the tendency to be supermegacool, yep. She stopped short upon entering the classroom. It was so...clean. Woah. Looking around, she spotted Professor Flamsteed and gave him a wave and a bright "Hello!"

She picked a seat and slid into it before taking her materials out of her bad. Hopefully she wouldn't need them, because that was always more fun.

How could you completely forget to greet the professor? Apparently it was a very easy thing to do when your mind was distracted with thoughts about a certain someone. "Hello, professor," she said rather lamely from her desk. It counted though. It totally counted. Just as she was waiting to see if Angel recognized anything different with her, they were joined by none other that her current distraction.

Hey, you." She flashed him a smile as he tugged on her hair. Did he have this crazy giddy feeling like her? It was nuts, but she was loving every second of it. The smile would not come off of her face as she sat between her sister and her boyfriend. The boyfriend thing was still weird to think about, but a good weird.

Halcyon never had much use for the lint roller, as her clothes were always pristine. But she always made sure to use it upon entering Flamsteed's classroom, and each time she made a mental note to thank him for that since the day might come when she needs an emergency lint roller and she would know exactly where to find one.

Hallie walked cooly into the classroom with the gait of an old Hollywood star. She paused and gave Professor Flamsteed a deep curtsy and a little bow of her head, only speaking when she fully was upright again. "Good evening, Professor." She offered him the polite kind of smile that you give to adults and authority figures before turing and trying to locate the best vantage point to sit.

It didn't take long for her to notice Cutty Mordaunt. She sighed a little and gave him a look of acknowledgment before turning to look for a seat as far away from him as possible. Not that he wasn't her friend, but he was not, not, not someone she wanted to sit near in class. She couldn't be lumped in with him, you know?

Hallie also spotted another boy she recognized, but she'd never met him. Sophie's boy. Toby Something. He was in her house but they'd never spoken. Still, there was a good chance Miss Sophie Brown would sit by him, and then that Coral-Bay would sit near Sophie, so to at least save CB the turmoil of having to choose between sitting near friends or her sister, Hallie sat precisely two seats away from this Toby fellow. She offered him the same sort of polite smile she'd given the professor, and gave an ambiguous hello in his direction, then busied herself sitting down and taking out her parchment and getting to the hard work of saving her twin a seat.

Astronomizzle.

Was Grayson excited for this class? Eh. Dude was overexcited which wasn't BAD, so to say. Just surprising. And he didn't think he was bad at it either but once the Professor really started getting into the physics and energy side of things, that was when

Lint-free and care-free, Grayson tucked his hands in his pockets as he headed into the Astronomy classroom. Was the set up weird? No. The only thing weird HERE was the fact that the Professor was reading a comic book about...........

............... okay no THAT wasn't weird. "Are you a Trekkie, Professor?" What? He had to ask. It was better than his OTHER question: whether everyone was going to get the chance to read some comic books. Grayson would be all up for THAT. "Hello, Professor."

Seat? Right next to one Cutty Mordaunt just because. "'Sup." he said, nodding at the fourth year. Long time no see and whatnot. He took out his writing equipment and his notebook before letting his bag drop to the floor under his desk and sitting back in his seat.

Time for Astronomy! This was one of his favorite classes to be in. He loved the idea of learning about the stars and plus the activities were always fun. As he entered the classroom, he realized he wasn't the only one here. He noticed a few students beat him here. He smiled and as he was gonna walk to his desk, he saw the comic book the professor was holding. It reminded him of the star trek handkerchief he used to help stop his bloody nose that one lesson. He smiled and commented on it, "Nice comic book you got there Professor...."

As he said his hello, he went to go look for his desk. He saw an empty one near the window and grabbed it. He put his bag down and got out his famous sketchbook and did his doodles.

Lint Brush.
The word had gotten rather stuck in her head after Justine had graciously adhered to the Professor's anti-lint policy (She might not be a fan of rules, but this one she could understand, and agree with to some extant).

The word was sort of funny sounding as Justine thought it over and over again in her mind. Merlin, she was bored if she was resorting to this nonsense to keep her mind awake. She blamed Louis for this, without him around to torment, her usually quick mind got lazy from lack of proper exercise... And Andrew too, for letting Justine make a mess of things between them and essentially ruining their perfectly pleasant friendship... Because it was obviously his fault, obviously. At least that bloody git Ian wasn't in this class too, she would easily choose boredom over being harassed by him.

"'Ello again Professor, I see zee 'ouse elves finally finished zee cleaning," Justine casually greeted, taking a seat next to a Ravenclaw girl (Eden McGee) that seemed vaguely familiar. She put down her things and crossed her long legs, one over the other, enjoying the freedom her pants had afforded her. It was another rule she didn't mind, and actually Justine was beginning to think she might start wearing pants over her skirt all the time.

Even though Ophelia hadn't been particularly excited about this whole astronomy thing, she had to admit that the room looked really cool. And also, sweet comic book. Her brother collected those, and the kid was pretty sure that was one of the ones he was looking for. Or possibly one of the ones she took to read in her room a few weeks ago.

Wow, how weird was that? A few weeks ago, she was reading books in her attic to hide from her siblings and now she was here in a magical boarding school getting ready to learn about the planets and such. If that wasn't a huge change, Ophelia really didn't know what was. A sad little feeling hit the Ravenclaw, as she thought about what was happening back home. She never WAS away from home this long. It was strange. Then again, the kid wasn't near people her own age for long either, so right now, this was a welcome change. Better than being a tester for her brother's strange potions. At least they were all safe. Well, mostly.

And also, she was shedding. Not in the way that the stray dog she rescued did, but the firstie was finding pieces of blonde hair on her uniform. Uggh. The pain of having semi-thick hair. Picking another long strand from her clothes and tossing it casually without a second glance, 'Ophie rolled her deep brown eyes at her random hair loss. It ran in the family, hair coming out. But everyone kept their hair for really long, so that was good. Her Grandmother still had hair and she was like seventy.

Also, Professor. He had to be greeted, yes? It was what everyone else was doing. So yes. That was something that probably should be done.

"Hello, Professor. Cool comic!" the shorty was a bit of a nerd about old things, and this looked as vintage as they came. Sweet.

Bay made his way into the classroom and smiled at the familiar sight… ahhh so good to be home.. seeing professor Flamsteed he said his hellos. "hey Professor Flamsteed, watcha reading?" he asked for anyone who was reading comic books were awesome in his books….


spotting his friends he made his way over to them.. "hey guys" he told everyone in general as he took a seat, this was going to be so fun.

Lint or no lint?

Benny looked himself over briefly before giving himself one simple brush through. There...that was good enough for him as he sent the lint roller back on the table and entered the classroom. He spotted one, two, three Valentine sisters and an Adi in the mix already there. "Good evening, Professor," he greeted politely as he noticed the man while moving furth inside to find a seat.

Making his way over to his friends, he offered the three of them a friendly smile as he neared them. "Hey," he said, spotting an empty chair beside Adi. He set his bookbag on top of the desk and took the seat, trying to settle down to await the lesson to begin. Astronomy wasn't exactly his best subject nor was it the worst so it wa always curious to see what was to come for the lesson.

Oh, look. A class Jun actually liked going to.
But let's not tell Flamsteed that.

Doing the usual routine of lint rolling and whatnot, Jun entered the class. "Hello, professor," Loo. Heh. Looks like the Boy Toy was now Head Boy Boy Toy. But that sounded weird with the two 'boys' in the phrase. Either way, the older boy made his way to a desk. Or at least find one. Eyes darting from side to side, he found one next to Bay. Might as well sit with someone he knew, even if it was a bit brief on the train. Sliding into the seat, he gave him a small nudge and smiled. "Hope you don't mind me sitting here,"

Because Jun was fun to sit next to. Yup.

Marigold had prepared very well for this class, choosing clean and decidedly un-linty pants instead of a skirt. She was nevertheless greeted by the lint roller at the classroom entrance, though the sign had an addition which made her smile. She gave her clothing a quick roll and de-lintified, then continued into the classroom. "Hi, Professor," she said, smiling. Now this was a class she could actually succeed in. Scanning the room, she didn't see friends or boyfriend yet, so she sat in a random seat and started taking her notebook and quill out of her bag.

Astronomy, another lesson close to the common room that she could take her time getting ready for the lesson and going. She was never going to be early for anything. At lease she was never late late. Mostly she was right on time.

Using the lint roller before she entered the classroom of course. She spotted Flamsteed reading a comic book. Star Trek. Yeah. No surprise that the astronomer was into that comic. Professor and her dad would get along while. Yes her dad was an athlete but he could be a bit of a nerd too. "Hello, professor!" She gave him a beamy face and took off to join Kace, Bay and Lux. Beaming at them she sit down with them.

Connor walked in and almost passed by the lint roller before realizing that it was a rule, right. Turning to grab it, he rolled the lint roller on his uniform and after putting it back he stepped into the classroom. "Hello, Professor. That looks like a good read." Star Trek was always great, especially the old stuff.

He looked around the class room, it was one of the coolest classrooms in the school in his opinion. Spotting familiar faces here and there Eden and Jun He took a seat near his best friend. Bay was there too. "Hey, Guys. How are Y'all?" He asked and grinned.

Declan squinted at comic book that the professor was so engrossed in while he passed the lint roller over his robes. Pfffft... Star Trek. PUH-LEESE. It was all about Star Wars, prof. Even then, Dec preferred superhero comics. Who's his favorite superhero, you ask? (Nobody asked.) Well, he'll still tell you.

He's tall, not dark, but is handsome and his name was Hazelwood, Declan Hazelwood. NEVER FEAR, CITIZENS. Declan A. Hazelwood has arrived. Cue his slow-mo walk into the classroom, popping the collar on his shirt, and sending a cool nod to one of his best mates (Kace). The seventh year then plopped in the next empty seat near his other best mate, Jun, looking over his shoulder to send a small wave to Marigold, a few seats behind him, and then FINALLY settled down comfortably. What do the stars say today, prof?

The Astronomy classroom was so FAR away from the Slytherin common room, and Dot wanted to be really annoyed by the time she climbed all the way up there. In fact, she was annoyed, and even more so when she saw the little sign that said she had to roll herself with the lint brush thing. She had a kneazle. Kneazles weren't so bad, but they shed like it was their job, and sometimes her uniform skirt had hair on it. No big deal, Mr. Astronomerman.

But the classroom itself was sparkling and clean feeling, and she could see treetops out the windows, as well as a glint that she knew was the lake. Favorite classroom so far. And the professor looked like a dapper stringbean, which drew Dot a few steps in his direction rather than towards a seat. What was he... oh. She knew that story. From the old movies she watched with her Oggie.

"Picard is better. Sir." And then she scampered off to take the seat next to Kyroh. Hi, Freckle-friend.

Clara had heard so many good things about Astronomy that when she saw the notice for it on the board, she could barely control her excitement, which was not like her at all. It had resulted in her reading as many Astronomy books as possible before the lesson - and she'd already read quite a fair few as the subject fascinated her. Very close to science, it was. CUE SPARKLY EYES.

Putting on her game face, the redhead made her way to the lesson.

She was trying to ignore the nagging voice in the back of her mind which kept reminding her just how many people there would be in the classroom, but it was no use. The closer she got to the class, the more anxious she got. There were too many people in the classes in her opinion. They should have smaller classes ... but they didn't, so she'd have to deal and that would be ... annoying, if not difficult.

Eventually she reached the classroom, spotting a few people going inside, but ... what was that they were doing before entering? Clara squinted at the object before approaching it. It was a lint roller. She hadn't seen one of those in looooong time. Heh. Normally she would question this, but she just wanted to get inside and learn. Plus, the quicker she got inside, the quicker she could get away from people. So she rolled it over her uniform until it was pretty much lint free and entered the classroom with a smile on her face.

The first thing she noticed were the tables, which were set out in a way that made her FAR too close to other people. The second was the Professor; he appeared to be reading a comic while leaning on his desk. "Hello, Professor," she called, then added, "interesting set up you've got." She didn't know why exactly she said it, but she did ... maybe to comfort herself or something? Who knew. Anyway ... on to the task of finding somewhere to sit.

She instinctively looked for the faces of Eden or Phoenix ... or Gabe, maybe ... and it didn't take her long to stop one of them.

"EDEN. Edeeeeeeen," she said, quickly walking over to her while thoroughly ignoring everyone else. "May I sit with you?" She asked ... but sat down anyway, rendering the question moot. Nobody had time for hovering awkwardly, and her best friend was hardly likely to turn her anyway, RIGHT? Right. Hm. "Excited for Astronomyyy?"

Bianca looked at the lint roller outside of the classroom. Was she supposed to use that? She ran it along her robes which contained no lint on it 'cause the house elves did laundry. Why would there be lint when you were a MASTER of laundry? Made absolutely no sense at all. Also the glitter on her robes kept mysteriously disappearing and she had a feeling one of the house elves were responsible for that.

She entered the classroom and beamed. "Yo Professor! Are you reading Naruto?" And if he wasn't why not cause Bianca would read that. "'Sup fellow classmates," she added, wiggling her fingers in greeting to the others in the class. No she did not know most of you and no she didn't care that she didn't know who any of you were except oh hey look there was an EDEN.

"ED!" Bianca grinned and slid into the seat on the other side of Eden. And who was that other girl again? "How you doin' ED's fraaaand?" (Clara) She gave both a big beamy smile. Because Biacna was good at giving bright beamy smiles. She was practically a star. This class should be about her 'cause stars were in space and stuff. "Are you guys ready for this exciting class?"

Yes? No? Bianca was.

Lux smiled and waved as her friends and boyfriend entered the classroom. She was more excited now that more people had arrived and she knew that this lesson was going to be so much fun. "Hey, guys! Are you all as excited as I am?" Because she was practically bouncing in her seat.

Watching everyone come in find seats he smiled when he saw Jun come in and they kind of locked eyes a little bit and Jun started to come his way… cool… he hasn't really had much time to get to know him but it was nice to see that He didn't mind sitting next to Bay.

"Hey Jun.. I don't mind at all" he laughed, he was being so silly.. "dude..hows your year going so far?" he asked quietly for people were still coming in. Might as well start up a conversation.

alrighty now the party was getting started.. here came Connor, this kid was awesome! seeing that he was coming their way and sat near their group of people he smiled. "I'm great.. how are you Connor?" he made a mental note to hang out with this kid more often, no harm in making more friends right.

The more she aged, the more Sophie Brown realized how hard it was to keep befriending people.

Upon de-linting her robes and greeting the professor with a salute and a cheery, "Good afternoon, professor," Soph first saw her Tobes, of course, but then she saw one friendly face after another - Zander, Leah, Jasmine, Maddie, Kyroh, Hallie, Eden, Jun, Clara - and was ultimately glad her decision was made for her. She always sat with Tobes in Astronomy, y'know? And luckily, there were some of those friendly people already sitting close to the Hufflepuff boy - Hallie was one of them, and she got a smile from Soph as she chose an empty seat right near her boyfriend.

Calm!boyfriend got a 'sup' nod with a big cheesy grin.

Had FLAMSTEED noticed how non-fidgety Tobes was yet? He seemed like the type to notice that kind of thing.

Chance was not feeling Astonomy. But, he loved the Professor. So it was an even trade. Walking slloooowwlllllyyy into class, he sloooowwlllly walked to a desk and sloooowwwllly sat down. Can you tell that he really didnt want to be here? But alas, he was. And, he was even willing to learn. So there!

He was prepared with all the mandatory items that Professor F wanted them to bring. Including, full uniform. So let's go! Get this class started!

To Layla, Astronomy seemed like a fairly muggle subject. It was pretty much like the spacey units she did in Physics at school, only more complex and detailed. She didn't mind physics, it used her brain and she always excelled in her studies in the three sciences. Only she never told anyone that, everyone else at her school thought she was just as average as them. She liked fitting in with her crowd, being pretty much normal. The intelligent lot were seen as nerds and boring, she certainly didn't want to be described as that.

The blonde entered the classroom and glanced at the professor. He did not get a formal greeting, she simply wasn't that sort of cheery happy person that the rest of the students were. Instead he received a half-hearted smile just before she turned away to get a seat. She thought she was running late, ironic considering the classrooms proximity to her common room however it appeared she was perfectly on time.

She spotted Eden over in a seat and she was going to join her for company however her mind was soon changed as Clara reared her head. Not wanting to be stuck between someone she just about managed to form a 'friendship' with and someone whom she found a little intolerable and awkward to be around, the fifteen year old instead made a wide berth and sat on the opposite side of the classroom.

She plopped her bag down on the floor before getting out her equipment onto the desk. The fifth-year leaned forward resting her chin in the palm of her hand as she concentrated in front of her rather than at her peers.

Hurry up and start this lesson..

Eden smiled at the 'Claw who plopped down next to her..and just nodded her way. "HI--I don't think we've met--officially, anyways--but I'm Eden." She said. "aren't you....Ian's girlfriend?" she asked, doing her best to keep a straight face but she just couldn't--she burst into laughter. "I was KIDDING I promise!" she really was, UGH. Ian was too--well--disgusting for someone as pretty as this girl. She had definitely seen her around, too. She couldn't remember her name, though. O__O



CONOOOR! Eden practically FLAILED when she saw him, waving so much and smiiiiling at him. YAY. Another class with him--great! She liked it because Connor was SMAAART and stuff, yeah. "How's it going, Con?" she asked, even though he wasn't seated directly next to her, he was still near her. "I'm all right--" yeah. Professor Star Trek over there hadn't started class yet, so, she supposed it was okay to chatter a little?



Eden BEAMED when Clara sat down and gave her a quick hug--you know, as if they hadn't woken up in the same room or anything this morning--and crinkled her nose a little at her friend. "Nope. you can't sit here!" she teased, pushing her schoolbag onto the chair but then laughed as Clara sat down REALLY quickly--FINE. She pulled her bag out from underneath her bum. "SIlly. You don't even need to ask me." Yep. Clara was her comfort face. She called her friend that in her head--the face that brought forth COMFORT.

She nodded. "Yep. I am. Anything that doesn't require wand magic much--I like." So se had enjoyed Divination--and she supposed she would enjoy this. "I also really like science subjects--I figure this might be quite simlar. I hope so, anyways." Otherwise it might be really hard...



Eden saw Layla come in and was about to tell her to come sit--but then she suddenly went to other side of the room. Okay? Eden frowned a little and shot eyes at Clara...was she mad at them? Did they DO something to the girl? Eden tried so hard to include Layla in everything..hmm..she would have to talk to her after class, yeah?



Eden heard her naaaaame and whipped around-BB. "Biaaanca!" she gave this friend a one-armed hug and chuckled. "That's Clara--" she said softly, glancing around. Eden felt like SHE HAD FRIENDS. WOW. She did, didn't she? Maybe Hogwarts was GOOD for her social skills. She had always been such an introvert at Durmstrang--only talking to about.....three whole people. She nodded at Bianca. "Yes! I really am--" she said and looked down at her tie as she stroked it. "Did you use the lint thingy?" she asked. It seemed right up Bianca's alley, too!

Connor looked over to Bay and grinned, he seemed like a cool guy and he was a Prefect this year. "I'm pretty good, ready for class." Connor was trying new things this term, he dind't know if he only wanted to write after Hogwarts and wanted to think about different careers, so as a Sixth year he was taking all the classes he could to figure it out.

Then there was Eden and she seemed rather excited to see him, Merlin. He beamed back at her "Hey, it's going all right.." He nodded, it was good she seemed to be doing well too. So far it seemed like it would be a good class, plenty of cool people in this one and a cool Professor to boot.
