FINALLY entering the Astronomy classroom after the 'House Elves at work. Please do not disturb' sign had been removed, you see nothing out of the ordinary other than an especially clean classroom. The desks are arranged in their usual semi circle to help created a more personal and inviting environment. The late afternoon sunlight shines through the windows to give the room an almost heavenly glow.
In the front of the classroom is the professor's desk sitting before a massive chalk board that appears to be empty for the time being. Professor Flamsteed is currently leaning against his desk with his bum while finishing up a comic book he had started while waiting outside the classroom for the elves to finish their work.
Did you remember to use the lint roller on the small table outside of the classroom? It was there next to the sign that reads, "Not to be used as a brush for your hair" and has the signature of a former student in the bottom right corner.
So come on in and have a seat. Class will begin shortly despite the hour delay due to a conflict in house elf cleaning schedules.

Ethan’s jaw dropped, hearing that Slytherin’s in third. What? How? Merlin’s underpants. Those Lions are like gremlins, multiplying by the minute. Was Grayson still in this? The prefect side-eyed his bro, and decided that he should give his newly created planet a chance to destroy a RED orb. His Snakes are smart, and they know EXACTLY what to do. Flamsteed’s warning, Ethan presumed, would be the last one for this class, so now was the perfect time to ATTACK.
“Locomotor planet!” The green orb floated in front of him, as the prefect waited for an asteroid to align with a red orb. Closing one eye, he saw a gray blob align with a red and immediately flicked his wand, sending the green orb to hit his target. KABOOM.
“Impressive.” He said to himself mimicking Darth Vader. The Force is strong with Ethan Mordaunt. Yup.

Zeke was prepared to launch his next attack... when Professor Airey addressed the class. LIONS WERE WINNING! BOOOYEAAAHHH! This made him grin ear to ear, because HE was contributing... it counted, right?
Saluting the Professor, Zeke turned his attention back to the task at hand. Of course, NOW, they were going to be targeted, it was only natural. That wasn't to say he couldn't target them back.
"Locomotor planet!" He flourished his trusty Larch and directed it to his planet and then a swift SWOOOOOOSHING motion for it to knock some asteroid into a handsome green planet.
DUN DUN DUN.
Collisions were beautiful things, especially when they were made of a glittery substance. Woop.
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Ah drat...they were in last place. Man! Anything was better than last place. Hmph. Well, he'd be getting back in the game now, thank you very much. Blue target for now since he has missed the first one.
"Locomotor planet!" Annnnd that downward flick of his wand sent the planet hurtling off towards the targeted asteroid. The yellow round thingy collided with said asteroid which in turn slammed into Bluey. Awesome! Look at the glitter and confetti go!
Time to create a new planet, yes? Wasting no time, Adi grabbed another bag of yellow sand, muttered the incantation and looked around for another unfortunate target.

DESTROY EVERYTHING. Ethan kept that thought inside his head. It doesn't matter anymore which planet, as long as it's not green. Seeing another green planet get smashed, the prefect got another plastic of green sand, and turned it into his ammo. "Fingere Elementi!" Wasting no time, he positioned himself to get a clear shot of...well, the red planets were pretty abundant, so those were EASIER to target.
Mweeeeh.
"Locomotor Planet!" Ethan held his wand tightly as the green planet hovered just a few inches away from its tip, flicked it to hit an asteroid. And boom goes the red planet.
Whoopteedoo!

Whoa only ten minutes left? It seemed like this class was moving really fast now. Hady supposed that usually was what happened when one was having a good time.
Green wasn't doing so good anymore. She had to help them of course! Making her way to the front of the room she grabbed up a bag of green sand and pointed her wand at it. With a firm jab at the bag she said. "Fingere Elementi!" The bag instantly melting away and swirling into a decently roundish planet. She was getting better at this!
Glancing around a moment she spotted a red planet moving slowly not to far away. She was going to get it this time. "Locomotor Planet!" Hady called out her green planet following her wand movements. A flick of her hand had the green planet sailing through the air and colliding with the red one! Yes!
"S'okay! M'good!" Toby called out to Professor Airey, giving a vague hand gesture to to reassure the man that he was fiNE. A-OKAY. ALL GOOD HERE. *SALUTE*
So, it was time to get back into the game. Ten minutes left, after all. Toby a last couple of steadying breaths and raised his hand to touch his head, which was of course still covered by the helmet, as if to check it was still there.
Now feeling a little bit more with it, Toby went BACK over to Professor Airey's desk for yet another back of the sand-like mixture. He'd heard that part about Hufflepuff being in last place, but found that he didn't really mind at all. Either way, this had been... an experience. Eheh.
"Fingere Elementi."Jab.
Once again, Toby watched as the bag floated and swelled and morphed into a decent looking planet. It was funny how the more tired he got, the less perfect the planets he made looked. Though, for course, not that he saw it that way. They were all their own kind of perfect to Toby, like everything was, in their own little way.
The Hufflepuff rejoined the circle around the planets and asteroids in the closest space possible. He blinked and stared and waited for a moment, looking into the fray before finally jolting himself into action. Planet destruction. Right. RIGHT.
"Locomotor Planet."
The last THREE attempts at this had taught Toby exactly why he SHOULDN'T stop focusing on THIS planet. Except that first time, he'd looked into the middle of the room every time, and ended up getting PELTED by CELESTIAL BODIES. Well... technically not celestial, but y'know.
So Toby used the spell to fling the planet out at the asteroids where it very neatly crashed into another. He was super tempted to see the result of THAT hit, but stayed focus on making sure the yellow planet he'd just created was sent off into the MIDDLE of the room, where it couldn't hurt anyone. Out of the corner of his eye, Toby saw yet another explosion of green confetti and glitter from where his asteroid had just collided with a green planet. Oops. Maybe he'd try for a different colour next time.
For that moment though, Toby just stood there, squinting out at the array of mini-planets and asteroids before him. Were... were they going to hit him? .......... No? AWESOME.
Smiling to himself, Toby headed off to start the process of making another planet.

Of course, now that he was more prepared, like a good soldier... or cadet?? no, lieutenant! YES! Like a good Lieutenant he took out his next 'round' or well his bag of glorified dirt that was soon-to-be a miniature red planet. He was getting good at the spell work stuff now, but then again, he was practicing these super well AND his wand was handy for learning these things. He jabbed in the bags direction while providing the appropriate incantation, "Fingere Elementi," and as desired, a miniature red planet hovered in its place.
And now it was WAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
"Locomotor planet!" he engaged his mini!planet with a nearby asteroid, sending it directly at it with GREAT force. So much so, that it went hurtling out of orbit and SMASHED into one of the coloured orbs. He had hoped it would be green, because the Snakes were being mean and bullying, but unfortunately his aim wasn't that great, and he hit yellow instead. Still, it was better than nothing.
Jedi Master•General Iroh•Java Junkie• King ♛ Stefan •Mycroft Holmes•Dragon Lord•Druid Boy
What. WHAT. The number of their green planets were dwindling, but the yellow ones were doing worse.

Oh hey look! A first year to the rescue! See? "Great job!" he said as he patted the first year's helmet. "Keep it up." Words of encouragement yeah? Ethan got himself another packet, and turned it into a planet. "Fingere Elementi!" A quick, and almost violent swirling motion happened, and he was ready to shoot. The Slytherin aimed for another red planet, "Locomotor planet!" flicked his wand, and the asteroid had hit a crossing yellow orb.
Oops.
Mweeeh. Ethan shrugged as he got himself another bag of green sand.

Ugh ugh ugh........ there was nothing more depressing than missing an intended target. But it was precisely for this reason that Zeke had decided that his SUBCONSCIOUS wanted the yellow one. Yep. Hence, he didn't miss... technically. Ahem.
Pulling out some more almost-ammunition, Zeke wandered around the perimeter in search of his next victim orb. He was massaging the bag of sand with his fingers, still biding his time. There wasn't a LOT to pick from now, so hitting them would only get harder and harder, but he was getting better and better so... evens? At any rate, he spotted two orbs doing their thing in close proximity. He could hit one of those, at least... surely.
"Fingere Elementi," he cast on the bag of sand, jabbing at it with firm intent. This bag, like the others too rose out of his palm and melted and morphed into a small sphere. Would he be able to keep one of these at the end of the lesson???
Of course, he wasn't going to let that thougth distract him from the task at hand. He needed to make this one count for something, and with a two for one offer in front of him, he couldn't waste any time.
"Locomotor planet!" he declared, directing his mini!planet with great precision and speed at the figured beyond the asteroid belt. It hit one of the fragments of rock and together with the planet it his one of the orbs. The blue one.

Hady heard a voice and knew someone was speaking to her when she felt a pat on her helmet. Pushing her helmet up as it slipped over her eyes...again she grinned brightly up at the older boy. "Thanks!" She exclaimed proudly. Not only had he praised her but he was a Prefect and that meant something to her.
Still smiling at the victory she hurried off to get another bag of green sand. Holding it in her palm she jabbed her wand at it. "Fingere Elementi" She recited watching it swirl into a planet before her eyes once again. This was getting easier each time!
There was a blue planet coming her way. The first year took aim and called out, "Locomotor planet!" as she flicked her wand in the correct direct. Holding her breath she watched as her little planet smashed into a blue one with a shower of blue glitter and confetti!
This was getting to be quite fun! Would all her classes be something like this?

Maddie had secured herself another blue sand bag after some careful navigation. People in this class seemed to be having trouble aiming, yeah? And others were having trouble keeping out of the way. Like Toby! That boy was taking a BEATING which was fun to watch and all BUT Maddie sort of liked him. He was alright as far as older kids went and he looked after Kyroh so no getting hurt, Mr. Hufflepuff. Be more careful.
"Fingere Elementi!" *JAB* She was getting better at this, did Flamsteed KNOW. Maddie watched as the sand bag changed shape, becoming more circular. She also couldn't help but wonder if you could do this with other materials like pillows. Just something to consider. Once her blue orb thing had finished molding-it looked much better than the last, thank you-she trained her wand on it again. "Locomotor planet!"
Alright, now she'd need to find a good target. Walking around the perimeter helped, especially because she could get a good view of the numbers of planets left. She figured red had had it easy for a while so she'd go for one of those and so she stopped to get herself into a good position. Then with a quick flick of her wand, her blue lumpy ball went flying off towards an asteroid. It was a DIRECT hit, only the asteroid's path was unexpected. Curious, that was. INSTEAD of going for the red planet, it changed path and went RIGHT for a green one. But she LIKED green. Well MOSTLY. Too late to stop it now. The asteroid hit and the green planet was finished, all glitter and then gone.

Maybe he should treat this like he was in the Dueling Arena, yeah? He practised aiming spells at the dummy square on its chest, and he got better with it. This time though, his targets were moving. It was slow, but still moving around and around the makeshift sun.
Jabbing his plastic of sand, "Fingere Elementi!" Ethan kept his eyes on the other planets, as the plastic melted away and a green planet ammo was born. "Locomotor planet." Calmly this time, Ethan moved to another spot, as he held his wand in front of him, his green planet in tow. How about, a blue planet this time, yeah? Seeing an asteroid align with a blue planet, Ethan flicked his wand, and his green orb zoomed to hit it...and cause the asteroid to bump, a RED planet.
Welp, that's exactly the downside of having TOO MUCH red planet swirling around. It was the EASIEST to destroy.
Shrug.
Moving on...

The ten minute warning had been sounded, and that meant that AJ needed to get to slinging some more planets and watch them go boom. Gryffindor was in the the lead now. Say what??? This was fantastic. It looked like the lion pack got themselves together and made some epic moves. Hufflepuff was in last place. It was as if the two houses traded places. This was exactly the reason why you didn't mess with the pack. RAWR!
Blue planets were her new target because they were the biggest threat. AJ already had a planet ready to go. She only needed to wait for the perfect time to attack now.
Wait for it. Wait for it. Then an asteroid lined up perfectly, and AJ knew that she would be able to make the shot. She pictured her planet as being a baseball, and her wand a bat. This planet was going dooooown.
"Locomotor planet." Her planet was off. It was zooming and made contact with the asteroid. The asteroid collided with a blue planet. It was a blue confetti/glitter rainstorm. Brilliant.
AJ heard her sister encouraging her, and before making another planet she gave her a thumbs up. "You're doing an awesome job too." Adi was doing well, and Benny needed to get his head in the game. Didn't he know this was a competition?

"Fingere Elementi!" Ethan jabbed his plastic bag of green sand, and it immediately swirled into a green planet. Seriously, he needs to work on his aim, and learn the art of timing...and not just waiting for an alignment. What with the nosy red dots floating carelessly around. Psh.
"Locomotor planet." Moving again to get a good aim, Ethan waited for a clear shot and waited for a particular alignment that will destroy a blue planet. The prefect saw one, moved closer to it and flicked his wand towards it. Biting his lip, he watched as his green planet bumped into an asteroid and hit a blue sphere. At last!
"I'm on fire!" he exclaimed as he got himself another packet of green sand.

Norah gaped at Professor Flamsteed. They were LOSING? She turned to her planet and jabbed her wand at it, yelling "Locomotor Planet" at the very top of her lungs. Her yellow sphere went hurtling towards and asteroid which flew towards the red planet she had been aiming for. HA! She was getting better at this, so there.
Toby had the back of yellow in his hand and READY, but before he cast anything on it, he took a moment to look around the room at everyone else, just to see what they were doing. There were groups working together, as usually tended to happen, and people working alone, like that one Gryffindor firstie who seemed to really be going for it. That was cute. Toby found himself watching for a moment, seeing how he played the game, before remembering that he was supposed to be playing the game too. Oops.
"Fingere Elementi," Toby cast, jabbing his wand at the bag of planet-mixture in his hand (just add magic!). He looked back up to survey the planets in the middle of the room, hoping to maybe avoid the green planets this time, and the yellows if he could. A familiar POP! alerted Toby to the fact that his planet had formed, just as he found a place in the midst of the room to aim at. A glance at his new planet told him everything was in order, and so Toby sent it out into battle.
"Locomotor Planet!"
That spell was just a smidge more enthusiastic than the others had been, and went SLAMMING straight into one of the remaining asteroids and then continued to the middle of the room, where the big 'sun' was. Feeling safe that he wasn't going to get beaten up by his own men planet, Toby looked back at the hurtling asteroid JUST as it CRASHED into one of the red planets that looked so much like a quaffle. It burst into RED confetti and glitter this time. Job well done.

They were running out of time, right? They had to be. Maddie made note of this and quickly grabbed an appropriate sand bag from the box of blues, not thinking twice about having to change it. She was into the routine now, confident that she could do it. Practice made perfect, after all. "Fingere Elementi." *JAB*
After watching the familiar process of shaping and changing, the brunette had a quite satisfying little blobby ball. A BLUE one because blue was her favorite and blue was the best. Blue was ALSO being targeted by an awful lot of haters and she'd noticed, JUST saying. She'd need to move faster if she wanted to wipe out other planets before hers were all gone.
"Locomotor Planet!"
Confidently the brunette guided the blob towards the asteroids, deciding to aim for a cluster of them in hopes that she'd have at least one good hit. Surely her chances were better this way. And with a flick of her wand, she tested that theory.
The blue ball hit a target, sending the asteroid on the left spinning towards a few planets, one of which WAS blue. The brunette's eyes widened only slightly, more curious to see what would happen than anything else. Luckily for her house, the grey ball hit a RED planet instead, leaving the blue one unharmed. There was lots of red glitter and then it was done. One less enemy planet to worry about.

Once again she needed another planet. Maybe she should stay closer to the front desk so she could get her bags of sand faster? Shrugging she got herself another green bag of sand.
"Fingere Elementi" Hady chimed cheerfully jabbing her wand at the bag of sand which instantly spin into a planet. Easier every single time!
Circling the room she took aim for another red planet as this one was closer to her then the others. "Locomotor Planet!" She called out flicking her wand towards the red planet she'd seen . Her green planet went straight for it but just before hitting it a yellow planet moved in front of it sending yellow glitter everywhere.
Norah rushed to grab a new bag of sand. Ten minutes was NOT a very long time. Not at all. She pointed her wand at the new bag of sand and muttered "Fingere Elementi" and cast a critical eye over what remained of their solar system instead of watching her planet come into being. There was no time for such pleasantries. They HAD to rule the universe! The Puffers would make everyone happy and hug each other! They deserved it, and that was obvious.
She turned on her heel and directed her body towards a green planet near the sun. You're going down, she thought to herself as she jabbed her wand at her yellow sphere. "Locomotor Planet!" The planet flew towards an asteroid which was launched in the direction of that green planet. They made contact and Norah spun to go back and get another yellow bag, not even watching for the glitter. She had a job to do, uh huh.

Looking to Jasmine, Thornton instinctively winced as planets exploded in the center of the room, thankful that he was away from it. Ok. He'd said he would try and she'd gone over to get a bag and everything. So he guessed he'd have to but..
OH NO.
He'd left his wand on his desk. And his desk had been pushed to the edge of the room like the others. He could see it, his bag on the seat and the wand resting on the desktop. It was just a little bit away, but with all the exploding planets, he had to be strategic. And so Thornton dropped to rest on his forearms and knees, ready to crawl underneath the desks until he got to his. "I'll, uh.. be right back," he said, hesitantly. "Don't go anywhere."
He was NOT going to make someone else do something for him if he could help it. But the planets were exploding overhead and people were flinging planets. Under the desks seemed to be the safest place to be as he crawled along. Finally reaching the desk, he groped blindly, trying to grab his wand without standing. But, he couldn't quiiiiite reach, and so Thornton made sure his helmet was secure and stoooooood up slowly.
But a rogue red planet came whizzing within inches of his head and exploded on the wall behind him. Thornton looked back to where it hit, a glittery splatter on the stone. He looked back to the center of the room to see another coming right for him.. looking down at the desk, he spotted his wand, grabbed it and threw himself on the floor, the helmet making a terrible clattering sound when it hit. Wand now in his possession, he crawled back toward the prefect.
When he finally arrived, he was out of breath. Leaning against the wall, he tipped the helmet up so he could look at her and held up his wand. "I, uh, needed to get this."
He was not quite ready, just yet, to try. "Can you show me how to do the spell again?" Stalling.
Jasmine watched as Thornton went to retrieve his wand-commando style. Surviving the obstacles, he made it back in one piece......thankfully. "I'll show you how to do it, just watch closely. Don't forget, you have to concentrate on what you want your wand to do."
Jasmine picked up the blue bag and set it a good way in front of her......for demonstration purposes. "Point your wand at the bag and then give it a little jab. At the same time, you want to say the incantation. Make sure you say the words clearly and concentrate." Jasmine made a jabbing motion and said "Fingere Elementi". The plastic melted and the blue contents formed into a new planet. "Now you try it. Relax, I know you cn do it."

Back to the sand bag box. Maddie was wondering if it was even worth it considering star dude was surely going to end the game soon. Still, she didn't fancy giving up. Was it still close between red and blue? Was yellow out of the race completely yet? It was hard to tell what with everyone flicking their own house colors up in the air. She guessed she'd just keep at it until Flamsteed gave them the stop light.
"Fingere Elementi." Accompanied by a jab and voila, a little blue blob. She was practically a one-woman blue blob making factory over here, really. Could she get a prize for most blobs made for Ravenclaw? Was that a THING? If it wasn't, it should be. JUST saying.
"Locomotor Planet!" She wanted to aim for a green one this time around, mostly because her eyes had fallen on Grayson and she fancied taking one out in his house color. He was one of those listed under Vain Slytherins in her notebook and she was not a fan, not really. She didn't care HOW aesthetically pleasing his face was. Only she'd FLICKED her wand while still LOOKING at that face and her blue blob took off before she could do anything about it. Needless to say, it missed both the asteroid she wanted AND the green planet, soaring somewhere onto the other side of the little circle of students. She was just going to casually move away now, yeah? Hopefully no one got a blue blob to the side of the head. Hopefully.
Thornton held his wand awkwardly, almost as if he were scared of it, and looked between Jasmine and the bag several times. He watched her demonstration, in awe of how easy it seemed for her. He hoped she'd wait before she threw it, so that he could watch that spell, as well.
Thornton took a deep breath and eyed the bag. He could make that dust a planet. Maybe?
I can do this.. I can do this He jabbed, his eyes closed. I'm going to mess this up I'm going to mess this up"Fingere Elementi?" he said, more a question than a statement, and wincing as he said it. Once the words were out of his mouth, Thornton slowly opened one eye to see what was happening. Dust was forming into...
a flat pancake.
Thornton's heart sank and shoulders slumped. "See?" he said poking the frisbee-like blue planet with his wand. "I can't do it."
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Another yellow planet was already in tow, zooming along to the movements of the Hufflepuff's hippogriff core wand. Red or Blue? Red or blue? Decisions, decisions.
Blue! It was the closest planet in front of him anyway. He let the yellow orb loose. It promptly and accurately crashed into an asteroid but instead of hitting blue it hit red. Oops. Hehe. Did AJ see that? Adi wasn't sure but no worries. At least he hadn't hit yellow.

YEEEAAAAHHHH!! Gryffindor was back on top. Mhm mhm. And now that he had his newest red planet, he was ready to take Hufflepuff down once and for all. In the game. He didn't have anything against Hufflepuff for the last time!! Anyways, back to winning. He watched curiously as others flung their planets and narrowed his eyes at the sight of a lot of red glitter flying around. HMPH. Well this wasn't good. Especially because now everyone was going against them since they were the top team.
Zander was gonna go for the Badgers just to get them out of the way. MHM. With a quick "Locomotor Planet!!" he FLUNNNNNNGGGG his planet towards the orbiting Hufflepuff in sight, but then ASTROID INCOMING uh oh.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnd rebound to a green!! Okay, he'd take it! Hehe. As long as it wasn't a red then they were good.

"Fingere Elementi." Hadleigh stated jabbing her wand at the newly acquired bag of green sand. Her eyes went in search of a planet to destroy this time rather then watch her own take form. They were running out of time and she needed to help her house!
Spotting a red planet she recited the well known spell. "Locomotor Planet!" Flicking her wand downward sharply her green planet whizzed through the air right past the one she'd aimed for and smashed into the wall showering the air with glitter!
Maybe she'd flicked her wand a little to hard that time? Frowning slightly the small girl shook off the feeling of failure and promptly spun around to make her way to the front of the room for more sand.
