Once you have followed Professor Tanner through the castle, out the front doors, and through the courtyard, you come to a small slab of concrete. Had that been there before? Next to this possibly new stretch of path you can find stacks of sidewalk chalk in almost every color of the rainbow.
Tiara stood next to one of these stacks. "Alright everyone, circle up and take a seat, please."
OOC: The activity is now closed. Thanks for playing!
Angel was really confused, she loved chalk but was the Professor letting them draw on the sidewalk? Because that would be awesome and she would totally have fun though she had no idea how she was supposed to do this, was she supposed to do objects or people or anything like that... she was really scared about getting this wrong but didn't want to ask the Professor any questions.
She decided that she would pick the number 88, she couldn't figure out the meaning except it meant great potential to connect the energy of the universe with the material world. So basically she thought that she had to try and figure out different things that use them or something like that anyway.

His first symbol/drawing had been OBVIOUS, and she did want more out of the box thinking, didn't she? Zeke thought to himself as he added some more finishing touches to his light bulb.
New Ideas. Freedom.
...
It was actually hard work thinking of ways in which that could be represented. He supposed freedom could look like a lot of things. A tree with LONG stretching roots, and wide reaching branches... or... or, a river, flowing in whatever direction it wanted, or a bird flying... OR A LINE! JUST A LINE! Like, he was FREE to draw a line around all parts of the pavement!
... That would maybe work?
Zeke took up a blue chalk and abandoned his yellow. His FREEDOM line, was going to be blue, like the free flowing water, or the wind/air, or just... consciousness? Was consciousness blue? Well he was deciding that it was.
Standing now, Zeke placed his chalk at the edge of his light bulb and then dragged it out and away from it, the line being squiggly and untamed, uncontrolled. He squiggled it as far as the others around him let him, and then he stopped. Long squiggly FREE line was achieved!

Glancing over, she spotted that Slytherin girl she and Cutty had been talking about...Agatha, right? Yeah, that was it. Seeing her right there got Lex wondering how that whole thing even turned out but she wouldn't go out of her way to ask something like that. No. If Cutty happened to fill her in then hats off to that, if not, it was none of her business.
Her attention turned once more to the Professor and her explanation of the activities. By the sounds of it, they would be...drawing on the ground. That was really all she'd gotten from it. Art. Lex wasn't completely sure the Headmistress would have appreciated something like this but being OH SO BUSY she didn't think she'd have the time to make it all the way down here either so this was fine--and even if it wasn't, Lex would do it quickly then fall under the cloak of the fact it was the Pofessor's idea.
So choosing a number would be the first step, right after picking up a couple chalks to do the drawing.
Going over the numbers again, she figured she'd choose 11. Self-illumination didn't sound like it'd be too hard...though now she'd be needing a lot more yellow...

So that's what they would be doing with the chalk. Adi liked this activity. They were going to express themselves! Cooooool! So which number would he choose? Forty four? Ninety nine? No...sixty six! Yeah! That one.
Adi read his notes on the Master Number 66. Peace and love, the way to go.
The Hufflepuff grabbed a stick of brown chalk then set to work. He was not good when it came to drawing so he would be doing basic stuff...like drawing stick figures. The first stick figure was meant to represent himself. His drawing of himself had black hair, some sticking up while some lay flat on his head.
Adi drew a nice, wide grin on the figure's face and wide brown eyes. On a final thought, he added a yellow and black tie around the neck. If that didn't scream Adi, he didn't know what did.

Lex sat pretzel legged trying to figure exactly where she'd be going with this self-illumination thing. For sure there'd be light, hence her having gone for another stick of yellow chalk but what? The Gryffindor tilted her head this way and that, hoping something would hop out of the pavement at her while simultaneously thinking it was good Lottie didn't take this class...on account of the colour of choice at this present moment.
Finally, inspiration hit and it was good it did too because she didn't plan to be sitting here all day until something happened. THIS was good enough and the concept was simple.
Reaching out, Lex first began working on a figure--an easy enough figure really, lacking most details that would make it distinguishable in some way or another. The figure wasn't the big thing here, or well it was but not as big as the other things so she wouldn't be spending a tremendous amount of time trying to make sure people understood it was meant to be someone.
It might have been nothing more than a blob by the time she was done with curves and to signal the neck, the waist etc. With the figure fixed in she began colouring the inside to make it solid.

Agatha wasn't as bored anymore because first they had moved around, so that gave her a bit of on-going energy, second because there was chalk everywhere and that made her curious, hence her paying attention now.
The fourth year knew nothing about the Mater numbers and whatever each represented, but she did like the number 4 for some reason, so she decided to work with 44. It was just when she overheard Zander and that Ravencalw girl she's seen everywhere talking about how they would work on the same number.
The Slytherin frowned because that was HER number! They shouldn't work on the same one as her! But whatever, she had picked that one and would stick to it. Maybe even steal some of their ideas. AND she would work by herself because she didn't have friends need anyone's help.
First... what colour to use? Baby pink, of course. That was the best colour. And whatever the number meant... Agatha wasn't bothered about that.

So it was chalk...special chalk, for them to draw and write on outside here. On said new concrete. Pretty cool and outside the box Ben had to admit. He listened carefully for what they were to do for the rest of the class. Draw the meaning of a particular master number and how it meant to them. The fourth year opted for 99 since it had been the one he had offered earlier as a guess. it seemed like as good a one as any other to work with.
Getting momentari;y back to his feet, Benny went to the piles of what he now knew was chalk to work with, soon returning to his seat with a few different colors. The better to be more creative with his drawings and such. As he settled back down, he set the chalk down to retrieve his notes, knowing he had written down information for his number. His textbook as well since that might help as well.
"99- the number for those who motivate," he read aloud to himself. First things first, he wrote the number and the word motivate on the concrete in front of him. That was for starters as he thought on what else to put.
Toby wasn't really very artistic for exactly the same reasons that he wasn't the kind of person to read in his spare time, or watch a lot of movies; he just could never stay still and focused for long enough. But he had that entire Herbology journal full of plant diagrams, so it wasn't like he was hopeless, AND he was a huge fan of all things colourful which would surely make up for any lack of artistic talent at the end of the day. Because LOOK at all those colourful chalks.
Before he could start, though, Toby had to pick a number. Though if he was honest, he had kind of already picked one when they were still up in the classroom before the activity had been revealed. Or, well no, it was more like he'd been drawn to that number. 66, of course, the Master of Peace. It was obvious that that was the number Tobias was going to go for. But he still went through the list anyway, reading them all again, and wondering what might be drawn for them, though 66 ended up being his final choice.
Tobias selected a bunch of different coloured chalks, making super sure he had white, yellow, pink, and light blue (among other colours) and found himself a space of his own to start working.
First up, Toby started drawing white birds all around the edges of his little space. They were meant to be doves, which were meant to be all about peace and stuff. Next, he grabbed the yellow chalk, and drew a big yellow sun up by the top. Usually, to him, the sun meant happiness, so naturally he saw it as meaning peace and love and all that as well.

Now that he was done with his stick self, Adi moved on to his other sketch. He started off with drawing a circle with light blue chalk. Okay, fine...it wasn't thaaaaat round but it came pretty close. With a light green chalk in his left hand, he proceeded to drawing squiggly lines in the circle. It was kind of difficult for him as he was drawing from memory but soon finished with one part. Africa.
Moving on, Adi finished up the rest of his world map. This took a great deal of time because he wanted it to look as accurate as possible. When he was finally done, he stood back to look at his work. Yep, the other six continents were recognisable too.
The Puffer smiled a crooked smile. Not bad for a guy who was bad at drawing. Selecting dark blue chalk, he started to shade the space withing the circle that was free of land. After that, he would be colouring the land/ continents in a brighter shade of green.
Angel grabbed some chalk and was about to go and annoy Benny when she suddenly realised... she had been doing that a lot lately and it wasn't fair on him so who else could she annoy.
"Adi!!! Adi!!! Adii!!" Angel would have tugged on his shirt if she wasn't afraid of getting into trouble... he could help her right because at this minute she was totally lost as to what she had to do except it had something to do with chalk on the floor... well that it what everyone else was doing.

Adi had just finished up shading in the 'water' of his globe, when he realised his name was being SHOUTED. O__O He looked around and spotted...Angel standing next to him.
"Hey, Angelfish.'' Hehe. He had always wanted to call her that. "What's up? You need help, right?'' That bit was obvious because why else would she be shouting down at him instead of doing her drawings? "Have you chosen a Master Number as yet? If you have, all you have to do is think of something that would represent the number's meaning.'' Adi picked up a stick of bright green chalk and began shading the continents.
"I chose sixty six which says something about people with that number has the potential to produce peace and love to others. So, I'm drawing something that shows that." And he was using himself as that person in his drawing though he didn't think his Master Number was 66. Oh well. That number's meaning sounded a lot like him, anyway.

Samantha then used a pink piece of chalk and drew a hand linked with another on the top left corner of her canvas. It symbolised that people with "33" as their numerological profile tend to be charitable and helpful towards others.
She wanted to draw one more symbol but she wasn't too sure what so she spent a few moments, scratching her head in thought.

Having decided number eleven was the number she wanted to use, she decided to read more on it. What could she draw with number eleven? She got out her chalk and decided to write some things down on the sidewalk quickly.
Creativity, subconscious, psychic
Dreamy, nervous energy, shyness, impracticality
Imagination and charisma; inspire others without getting credit
It was certainly her Grandpapi through and through, perhaps he was a number eleven? She wasn't sure she wanted to work it all out now, though. What could she draw?
She started with drawing a big circle in blue. Inside the circle, she drew the number 11, also in blue, giving herself a lot of room around the circle. What could she draw? Shapes, she could draw a picture of her Grandpapi, for reminding her of 11, she could draw a psychic, someone being shy. How could she draw a dual personality, like her books were talking about. Maybe two identical people, one looking imaginative, one looking charismatic?
Oh, how we drift away from our friends. And the ones back home play remember when
Now for the final piece of Samantha's drawing. She grabbed a piece of blue chalk and drew a small face with a smile and a small face with a frown and tears cascading down the cheekbones. This was to symbolise that "33s" tend to be very emotional.
She packed the chalk pack in the box and dusted her hands off.

He was stuck.
NOW he was stuck.
Line of freedom and light bulb, but HOW ELSE was he going to convey the whole New Ideas Man thing and the whole Freedom thing???....... Zeke massaged his chin between his thumb and index finger, contemplating his options.
One of the things to come to mind, was doors opening. When there were issues or obstacles in achieving something, it was like closing a door or a window. So, when thinking up new ideas, it was doors opening, right? And it was LINKED with freedom because open doors meant no restrictions. Right? YEAH!!!!
With his new plan in place, Zeke grabbed some brown chalk and set about drawing open doors and open windows. He couldn't decide on just the one, so he had both, and two of each, just for good measure... but they were a set.
Finishing up the last of the lines, Zeke pushed himself up - hearing his kneecaps pop from squatting - and he admired his work.

Chalk, they were actually going to be able to play with chalk. This was something that AJ used to do on the sidewalks at home. In fact she mainly used it to make a hopscotch that they all would play on. Another great thing about this lesson was that there was technically no wrong way to do it. She couldn't exactly get bad marks on her interpretation because everybody interprets things differently. This was a double score.
Now, which number should she choose? AJ thought for a moment, and decided to go with 22. The number 22 represents making dreams come into a reality and that was right down the second year's alley.
She didn't even have to put that much thought into what she was going to draw because something instantly came to her mind. AJ grabbed an assortment of colored chalk and plopped down. This was going to be epic.
Agatha started with drawing the basics: the actual number. First a BIG number 4. Bold. Very bold. Almost 3D. Kind of, because Agatha wasn't the best at drawing and wasn't great in doing perspective either so that probably didn't end up looking as good as she would like. She was trying at least.
After spending a good 5 minutes on the first one, the Slytherin went on to draw the second 4, right next to the first one. She was well aware she would never be able to draw two things that looked exactly the same, so she opted to do the second one completely different. It was still bold, because she wanted to colour the inside of the numbers later on, but this time she made a very wiggly-looking number 4. ON PURPOSE.
Hmph.

Eighty eight? Adi grabbed his notes. "People with an 88 have the great potential to connect the energy of the universe with the material world,'' he read. He directed his attention to Angel again. "Okay, so you ever heard of the law of attraction? It's basically if you focus on positive energy, you'll attract positive outcomes. The same goes for negative energy.'' This was something Adi REALLY believed in.
Anyway. "I'd like to think the Universe has positive energy so maybe you want to do a drawing of the Universe? Obviously not the whole thing but just a part of it. The Milky Way or something. Maybe you can even toss in a few aliens.'' Hehe. Aliens were super cool, ya know. "But you should definitely include a drawing of earth.'' That would represent the material world.
Adi left Angel to decide what she wanted to do as he selected brown chalk once more to draw some more stick figures- a boy and a girl. Next, using black chalk and white chalk, he did the same.

Her masterpiece was all in her head, and it was time to draw it out for everybody else to see. There were plenty of dreams that AJ would like to see come true, but there was only one that came to her mind at the present moment.
Unicorns!!! Did anybody honestly expect anything else from her? Now, which color should she use for them? White just wasn't enough. She had to be able to show their beauty, and white alone just wasn't going to cut it. Deciding that white and a silvery/gray looking color would do, AJ grabbed them both and put the chalk to the ground.
Her tongue was placed in between her teeth as she got to work. Total concentration was happening her. A mama unicorn was drawn, followed by a daddy unicorn. Of course there had to be babies too. AJ started to draw the little ones.
She was done drawing number 44. Now it was colouring time, which Agatha thought she would like better.
Using the same colour, the Slytherin didn't take her eyes off her work as she started filling in the bold number forty-four. Humming a Tchaikovsky tune, the image in front of her slwoly became completely pink. Not bright pink, a nice, pastel baby pink, just like her ballet shoes.
And she was done.

After taking what might have been forever colouring in her blob of a figure, she began working on the outer side. That would be just as easy if not easier and so she began. Lex got the yellow chalk and began doing an outline for the figure in such a way that it looked as if it was giving off it's own light. Self-illumination, geddit?
The yellow didn't spread too far from the blob, hugging it's figure mostly from the top of it's head to the figurative bottom. She paused, leaning away slightly to get a more objective look before deciding that maybe a little more on edges. By the time she was done, it had to look like the figure was its own natural source of light. That, thankfully, didn't take too long to achieve.
At this point, she began drawing other, smaller figures. It didn't much matter what colour of chalk she used, just that they were drawn surrounding the largest figure who should be glowing.
With the last of them done, she began colouring around them with the black chalk, essentially covering them in darkness--that's what it was you know. They weren't illuminated. Stuck in the dark, as she found to be the problem with most people these days. While she coloured, she was careful to keep the black from touching the yellow on account of not wanting to ruin the lighting.
And....she was....done!

Zhenya had her blue circle and her blue number 11 written inside the circle. She just needed to fill it now. As the literature expressed someone with a master number of 11 often had a dual personality. They were often charismatic and creative. She drew two people, as best she could, trying to make them look like her Grandpapi, she drew one of them with a monocle, a top hat and a handsome suit, and the other one with a palette with paint colours, a paint brush, and an easel with a picture on it. That should do nicely for those points.
She drew fireworks in all three colours to represent inspiration. She wasn't sure if fireworks had anything to do with inspiration, but she thought they were pretty and mesmerising, like someone who was inspiring would probably be. She drew another picture of her Grandpapi, and put him in shawls and headscarves with a large crystal ball in front of him. He would be her psychic.
By now her globe was pretty full of pictures, and she figured that would be enough to draw. She finished by filling the rest of the space with more fireworks of different colours, and adding more '11' into the globe.
