Blink. WHAT? Blink. WHAT? Blink.

What was that hushed voice? Was that her name she had heard? Adeline put her finger in her ear and turned it a little and did the same on the left ear. Who was that? What was that voice? Adeline VERY slowly turned around.The seventh year put her right hand on her lower back.

Once she was FINALLY fully turned around she noticed that it might be Asher? was that REALLY him? No that couldn't be. He had to be about eighty years old like she was. What was she suppose to do now? She snailed over to her boyfriend and tried to help him up but nothing would work, if she bent down to help him she just might break her back.

"SOMEONE HELP, SOMEONE, HELP ME GET HIM BACK ON HIS FEET."

Galloping thestral’s what was going on in her shop today?

Earlier it had been stink pellet war and now someone was shouting loudly for help. Shaking her head the brunette shopkeeper hurried out front calling out "I'm coming! I'm coming! Just hang tight." If they couldn’t they just had to cause Emerald could only run as her high heel’s let her.

Rounding several shelves she came upon an elderly pair where the boy was lying flat on his back on the floor. Going up beside the boy Emerald asked concernedly. "Hello, are you all right?" Holding out a hand to pull the boy with the grey hair up she shot a glance towards the girl with the same elderly features and grey hair. "What happened? Did he just fall over?"

Why were they grey haired? Had they dabbled with aging potions for fun and were now paying for it?

These were good boys to Javy.. a tad bit off the charts, but still good. Their insisting on taking responsibility now just made it even more believable that Javy of all people would entrust them on picking out some items.. Assuming that scenario in this case were to be true that is. Oh, and these boys weren't getting with away this that easily if after all of this things go according to plan.

Now then, the accusation that came his way though. Taking the time to rub the grey hairs sprinkled about his beard, the wrinkles that had lately been more pronounced and defined over his face seemingly relaxed. It was familiar territory from here on. "..It would appear so, as unfortunate as what is displayed. It has been rather difficult lately to go about for errands alone as often. Ordering supplies for one of my upcoming lessons as a result had to be handed down to some of my students." Amazing how sprinkling in some truths makes things more believable. Bowing slightly, since Javy was being careful to not bend over as much after some of his colleagues had displayed the risk factor for doing so. "You have my sincere apologies, as ruining your stock was not part of the plan." Just to show how much, "We would be delighted to help clean up and pay for the damages."

A younger Ravenclaw had also stepped into the scene as well, "Ah, Miss Jensen, good to see you again." What was going on here? "Just an accident with certain supplies, but nothing life threatening." She seemed to have something else on her mind, so he didn't mind waiting on hearing it.

Louis had never been much of a prankster. He was too honest and awkward to be able to pull any deceiving off. But that didn’t mean he couldn’t be a little curious about some of the contraptions and trickster toys Zonko’s had to offer. He personally preferred the Weasleys’ shop, but this was nice too. And anyway, he wasn’t here just to browse. He had a date - not like that! - with the Lady of the House of Hufflepuff.

Examining an extendable ear hey this could come in handy for his snooping! Louis waited for the little redhead to arrive.

Quietly Lux made her way into the shop, spotting the boy she had been wanting to see almost immediately. Smiling, she walked behind Louis and covered his eyes with her hands. "Guess who." It had been a little while since she had seen the boy, so she was glad that he had agreed to meet her. This time she wouldn't be kissing him though; something she was sure he was glad of.

Louis let a silly grin take place on his face when he suddenly felt two hands on his eyes. Then the girl's voice filled the air, and Lou knew immediately who it was.

"Hmmmm. Cold little hands, voice like a siren? ... Bay is that you?! " Louis gasped, causing Lux's hands to fall when he turned around dramatically. He then laughed, obviously just teasing the girl - and his best friend in the process.

"I haven't seen you in a while," he pointed out with raised eyebrows before greeting the younger girl with a friendly hug. She felt cold, most likely from being outside. "How are you doing?" he asked as he pulled back.

Laughing, Lux playfully shoved Louis on the back when he asked her if she was Bay. "You are so silly, Louis." And she hoped that he was happy to see her even if she wasn't Bay. Happily, she hugged him back, feeling glad of the warmth he was giving her after being out in the cold. "I am doing great, what about you? And don't worry, I won't kiss you again; you guys made me too paranoid to do that anymore."

Louis listened attentively as the little Lady of the House of Hufflepuff shared that she was doing well, then laughed aloud when she assured him there would be no kisses coming his way.

"I hope we didn't completely ruin your interest in ever having a love life, though," he said with a small, apologetic smile. He did want Lux to eventually fall in love and have a boyfriend coughBAYcough to whom she would award plenty of kisses, but he hoped that wouldn't be any time soon. She was still just a wittle babeh!

Lux shrugged it off as nothing, which it was. "No, I'm sure it will still happen. Not sure when or with who, but I'm opening up to it more." She was coming along from how she was even at the start of Term, but she did not really feel that there was anyone for her to date at this point of time. No one even seemed to be interested in her. "Tessa explained to me how it works, so now I understand why everyone got worked up about the kisses."

"I'm very happy to hear that, Lux," Lou replied softly and honestly when the Hufflepuff spoke. He was all for her opening up to the idea of romance, it was the kissing spree that had him worried. But it seemed even that wouldn't be a problem anymore.

"Thank Merlin for Tessa," he said with a chuckle. It was rather amusing to look back on how much he and Sander tried to talk reason into the confused Lux, but it only took Tessa one meeting with Lux to clear everything up for the girl.

"Is everything back to normal with you and Bay now, then?" he asked curiously. Baylux's well-being was very much relevant to his interests.

Whoa. So Professor Thompson had put the boys up to throwing stink pellets in the shop? It seemed like the lady was pretty mad at them. Gwen shook her head quickly, not wanting to be in trouble. "Um, no ma'am. I'm in Ravenclaw," the little American said as quickly as possible.

She was actually pretty sure that nobody else in here was a Gryffindor either, but she didn't say anything because she suspected they had lied to the lady to keep points from getting taken from their house.

On another note now. Professor Thompson looked like he knew she had something to say. It could have waited, but why not say it now? "I um, named the horse." She had discovered that it was a Granian, specifically. "Ahearn," she said, realizing she hadn't told him the name yet. "It, um, means 'Horse-Lord.' I thought it was appropriate."

Um. This was awkward. He was clearly busy. She was standing here in this joke shop filled with stink pellets, and awkward Gwen came out. When she didn't know what to do, she sometimes resorted to saying whatever was on her mind, even if it wasn't really the time for that. She shifted her weight to her right knee, and gasping shifted right back. She wasn't supposed to put pressure on it.

She looked back toward the angry lady. "Actually, I'm not a part of this. I'm looking for a present for my brother?" In case she had any suggestions. But probably not stink pellets. Because Gwen would definitely be on the receiving end of whatever prank he pulled with the tools she gave him, so something funny, but not too bad.

Nod. Lux was very happy about it too. She still was curious about kissing and stuff, but she was happy if she kept her friends from being upset. There had been that moment of rebellion, but it had passed as quickly as it had came on. "She explained it to me, and she said it was good that I was decent enough to not kiss people who have girlfriends." No one should get hurt by her kissing someone's boyfriend, and Lux did not want to cause problems in any relationships.

And as far as her and Bay... "I think so? We haven't really talked about what happened, and everything is normal again. Why? Has he said something to you?" She didn't want Bay to be upset with her or annoyed. She had cried when she thought he was mad at her for the cucumber sandwich incident earlier in the term.

Louis listened attentively as Lux explained that Tessa had cleared everything up for her, and had complimented the girl for not kissing people with girlfriends. “Does that mean Sander won’t be getting a Lady Lux kiss then?” he teased with a chuckle. Yeah, if little Lux thought he wasn’t totally going to poke fun at her over this for the rest of his Hogwarts career, she was wrong. >:3

The boy’s expression turned serious again as he listened to Lux answer his following question.
“No, he hasn’t mentioned anything to me,” he replied, shaking his head. “I’m glad to hear everything’s back to normal with you guys, though.” He paused for a moment, turning quiet as he thought to himself. Should he… would it be weird if he asked… He couldn’t help it, though. He was curious! “Lux… why do you think Bay got so upset at the lake?”

Snort. Sander? "Of course not! Because he is with Tessa." Tessa was one of her best friends, and Lux would never kiss Sander even if the older girl knew it was for fun and it meant nothing. "And the same goes for Bay, because you know he is dating Christmas."

Well, at least Bay hadn't said anything. He was special to her, so she didn't want to hear anything about what had happened. It seemed that it was all water under the bridge and they were moving on with their lives. Shrug. She had no idea. "I dunno. He said he is really protective of me, so I guess that's the reason." She was not going to question it.

"Right..." Louis tried his absolute best to keep a straight face when Lux gave him the heart-crushing news that she had no plans to kiss his best mate. Siiiiiigh. He would get them together one day...

When the oblivious girl answered his question, Lou nodded his head slowly. So she seriously believed he only got upset because he was protective of her... Merlin, was she naive! (An ironic accusation coming from him of all people). "Yep. That's all it is. He's... protective, yeah." At the end of the day, Lou still had no solid proof that Bay liked Lux in a romantic way, so he figured he was better off just dropping it. For now.

"So. Can I interest you in some extendable ears, m'lady?" he held up the extendable ear he had been examining earlier, salesman-style. He chuckled to himself and figured they might as well check out all the weird little things the shop had while they were still there.

Errrr... "Why did you ask, Louis?" He had been at the lake when Bay had explained what had happened, so why was he asking her this. "You and Sander have been acting really weird about me and Bay lately." Was there something going on lately that she was not picking up on?

Oooh, extendable ears! Excitedly, she nodded and reached out for them. "I want to see everything they have here."

"No reason," Louis replied innocently. He felt his cheeks grow a little warm when Lux pointed out that he and Sander had been acting suspicious lately. "What? What gives you that idea? Not at all! We just... we were just worried about you guys. You're my best mates, I didn't want you to be upset with each other..." he explained. And though this wasn't the WHOLE truth, it was still a truth. Lou loved Bay and Lux, individually not just together, and never wanted anything to go wrong between them. Especially if he was in any way involved.

"Don't worry about it so much, m'lady," he added encouragingly, ruffling her red hair playfully with a warm smile. She was so cute being all observant and getting suspicious, d'aww. :3

"Ah! No extendable ears for my lady unless she pays the fee!" He pulled away the extendable ear as Lux reached out for it and held out his free hand. "That'll be one chocolate frog, miss."

Emerald listened in silence as the pretty professor did his best to resolve the situation by explaining the reason why he had sent the two boy’s there. Shaking her head her tone and facial expression softened slightly as she frowned at the professor man "Why didn't you just send me an owl with your supply order? I do take orders via owl." It was a way to keep up with her competitors.

Giving the stink pellet mess a glance and thinking on it Emerald said as much to the professor as much as the boys "If you pay me 4 sickles and clean away the mess and the awful stench in here we can call it even. How does that sound?" Beam. See she could be reasonable not just angry.

Turning to the girl with a soft friendly smile she asked "What type of present are you looking for dear? We've got nice hiccup sweets or punching telescopes."

Whoa Whoa Whoa. Was Professor Thompson covering for him and Tag? Nigel thought they were doing reasonable well in that area. With offering to pay for the products and all.They had not really caused any damage to the shop besides the stink. This will have consequences. Nigel definitely believed that. A catch twenty two. Now they would have to do something for Thompson.

Fun.

All he could do now was nod to the shopkeeper. If he said something, he would probably ruin it by talking too much. He listened to the compromise. Or what Nigel thought was one. 4 sickles was not bad. Just cleaning up the stink and pellets will be a hassle. Ah..a first year from his House. Not the best light to be seen in. But he was in a joke shop after all.

"Good Ma'am"

Soo......time to pay and start cleaning apparently.

Awww, Louis was so sweet. "You know I love Bay, I'm not upset with him. Though I didn't like when he was avoiding me." But that was in the past now, so it was okay. "And I don't think he is upset with me, so everything is fine!" There was no need for him and Sander to worry about things, everything had worked itself out. Though she still wasn't going to kiss anymore on the off chance that it did make Bay mad, as doubtful as she was about it.

Beaming as he ruffled her hair, she kept her hand out in waiting for the extendable ears. Wait, a fee? "Do I have to give you a Chocolate Frog? I might be broke." Laughing, she searched inside her pocket before pulling one out.

Lurrrrveeee? Louis's ears perked up when he heard Lux said she 'loved' Bay. He felt an urge to wiggle his eyebrows at her, but decided against it. He knew he was being ridiculous to think she meant anything romantic by that; HE loved Bay too, and he loved Lux as well, but he had no interest in marrying either of them.

"Everything is fine," Lou repeated the girl's last words with a nod and a smile. He liked to see her happy; and nothing seemed to make her happier than being on good terms with Bay. It was a sweet thing to see.

"Sorry m'lady, but this squire requires payment of some sort. And nothing will make him richer than a delicious chocolate frog." When the girl gave in and handed him a chocolate frog, Louis's large blue eyes sparkled for a moment before he devoured the delicious treat in one greedy bite. Gawd, he loved chocolate frogs.

Picking up a nearby basket, Louis dropped a couple extendable ears inside, one for himself and one for Lux. "What else should we get...?" he muttered thoughtfully as he looked down the aisle of pranking materials. He suddenly turned back to Lux, "We should get something to prank Bay," he suggested with a grin.

Tag wanted to laugh so bad when the little girl said she was a part of the trouble he and Nigel had caused. So bad. But he didn't. There was just a very tight lipped smile on his face. Yep. How cute was she, though? Wanting to buy something for her brother.

But, more important matters. The blonde watched the shopkeeper and Thompson closely. Her expression seemed to have changed. But Tag didn't take it much into account. Perhaps he wanted to exercise. Tag thought when the lady had asked his Professor why he hadn't owled her.

Excellent. They only had to pay for the stuff and just clean up the mess. Such an easy deal. Tag nodded and then fished out his wallet and got out the four sickles the shopkeeper had asked of them. "We can do that." Tag said, extending out the money to the shopkeeper. Even Nigel was agreeing. "Would tergeo or scourgify do the trick?" He asked his classmate. Tag wasn't very good at that matching the spell to what it does, thing. Not reparo they hadn't broken anything.

Exactly. Everything was fine with her and Bay. Louis and Sander needed to stop making her feel confused and paranoid. Watching him devour the Chocolate Frog made her laugh; he must have been rather hungry. "What if I didn't have any? Would a kiss on the cheek suffice?"

Eagerly, she looked around the displays since she got her extendable ears. "Oooh, I so want to prank him! Let's do that!" It made her even more excited. "I hope he won't get mad at me though."

Louis listened as Lux asked if cheek kisses could replace chocolate frogs when it came to paying for his squire services. He narrowed his blue eyes at her, lips twisting into a half-smile. "On the cheek, yes," he said, still honestly a little wary that Lux might spontaneously decide to kiss him on the lips again just for the fun of flustering him and causing trouble.

He grinned as she agreed to the idea of pranking poor, innocent Sir Bay. Mwahahaha this would be great!

"Of course he wouldn't get mad at you, m'lady," Louis assured her, ruffling her hair with a warm smile. She was so cute, getting all worried about Bay getting upset with her. Lou then returned his attention to the displays. HMMMM. "Let's see here... what could we prank him with?" The boy picked up an innocent-looking little teacup and examined it. What was the joke here? As he brought it closer to his face to take a closer look, the teacup bit him right on the nose. HARD.

"OW!" Lou dropped the teacup and covered his nose with his hand, eyes watering. ALSDJKDF. WHY didn't that come with a warning?!

BEAM. He had agreed to cheek kisses. Though he had a weird look on his face. "Don't worry. I promised to stop." She was not going to break a promise to him, and besides she was sure she could control the kissing thing. It wasn't like she had a crush on Louis.

"I think you are right. He is really nice and he has a good sense of humour." She was sure that Bay would be okay with a prank, she just had been worried for a moment because she didn't like thinking of when he had yelled at her recently. "And he loves food, so maybe we can get something he thinks is like candy?" Picking up some sugar quills, she immediately dropped them again when she heard Louis call out in pain. "Are you okay?" His nose was all red now, like it had been bitten by something.
