One area of the owlery is roped off for those people caring for and visiting their owls (or the school owls, if you don't have your own). An open bag of Owl Treats sits near a perch, as well as some talon clippers and a few bowls of water.

Angel blushed as Benny seemed to be putting two and two together. She was so glad that he liked the card, and she hoped that he didn't mind her sending him one because they were friends.

Angel looked at Benny and smiled when he gave her his cloak, she was a bit worried he might be cold but she would make it up to him later. "Thanks." Angel wanted to call him cutie-pie but she managed to stop herself at the last second, she quickly put it on and then led the way. "When we get back to the common room I'll make you a great hot chocolate."

Benny already felt the difference, the one layer lighter that he was. He was certainly thankful he had opted to have a heavy jumper on over his shirt. Made it just a little more bearable. At least it wasn't that far way to more warmer climates.

"You're welcome," he said as she thanked him. Yes the cloak fluttered at her ankles as the first year moved. The boy managed a smile at the offer that was made in exchange, trying not to think on the fact he might certainly need the warmth afterward. "Sounds like a plan," Benny agreed as he followed her out of the owlery.

The owls have been restless for days now thanks to the polar vortex wind chill sweeping over the grounds and through the Owlery. The howl of the blizzard terrifies them, causing them all to take flight and brave the unforgiving weather. Hooting and flapping their wings, it was only a matter of minutes before the Owlery was vacant of all its feathery residents.

To anyone who happened to look out of one of the windows of the castle overlooking the Owlery, they would see the parliament of owls flying towards the direction of Hogsmeade.
